‘I wish I could sing sometimes, but I can’t,’ Cash Money rapper says. By Rob Markman Glasses Malone Photo: MTV News Celebrity Favorites: Glasses Malone Life must be good on Cash Money Records. Just ask California rapper Glasses Malone who is set to drop his debut album, Beach Cruiser, on the Birdman-helmed label in August. The label’s roster boasts Baby himself, Lil Wayne and Bow Wow, and then there’s label subsidiary Young Money, which houses Drake, Nicki Minaj and Tyga. “Hell, yeah, it’s competitive,” Glasses said when asked about the amount of talent on the two labels. “Let’s face it, Drake is probably one of the most, if not the most talented artist right now. This dude can be into a nice verse and kick some singin’ sh–, after being into a nice verse. Not an all right verse, he’ll be into a nice verse and then start singin’ and hold a great pitch. And then you look at Nicki Minaj, it’s success stories.” G. Malone is such a fan of Drizzy’s crooning that he sometimes wishes that he himself could hold a tune, but by the same token, he is aware of his own fanbase, which looks to him for harder, street-bred material. “I wish I could sing sometimes, but I can’t, so what I try to do is keep carving my niche at this gangsta sh–,” he told Mixtape Daily. “I figure, I can’t top Drake doin’ what he’s doin’. Drake is that n—a, he got it together. Wayne is that n—a, but I could make them n—as like, ‘Man that n—a G’s sh– hard.’ And once you do that, you win.” For Glasses, Cash Money and Young Money’s talented roster ultimately fuels his drive. “I use their situation as inspiration to know that the sky’s the limit,” he said. One of the perks to having such high-profile labelmates is the potential for good features. But on Beach Cruiser, Malone refused to force the issue. He has already recorded with Birdman and Wayne for his album and a number of other Cash Money artists on various side projects. When it comes to Drake, however, Glasses would rather wait until the time and the vibe is right. “Me and Drake, we talked a couple of times. We barely finna do somethin’ now. I just couldn’t figure out a song for Drake. I don’t talk about girls,” the Watts rapper said about his and Drizzy’s respective styles. “My songs wouldn’t be the right songs. He really appreciates women. I have to find the right niche.” For other artists featured in Mixtape Daily, check out Mixtape Daily Headlines . Related Artists Glasses Malone Drake

Romance. Resentment. Tears. The Bachelorette brought it all last night, with Ashley Hebert narrowing the season’s field to the lucky final four suitors. The eliminations were a bit surprising, but there is no clear favorite heading into the hometown dates, which must always be referred to as such. So who got the golden ticket home and who got the chop? Who whined way too much and who handled their ouster remarkably poorly? The episode also featured a sad interview with Emily Maynard, which we’ve posted below, in which she confirms her breakup with Brad Womack. The Bachelorette spoilers we’ve compiled include who makes it past the hometowns, and all the way to the end this season … if you dare to read. Right now, let’s break down last night’s episode, the sixth of the season, THG style. Continue on for our patented +/-
“I don#39;t know if there#39;s any change more significant that a human being can make than that of a woman become a mother,” Dane told us in May. “There#39;s no change more dramatic.” Eric Dane has said that he became 100 times more attracted to his wife Rebecca Gayheart when she became a mother for the first time. Looks like that number may be going up: The couple is expecting their second child, a source confirms to us. The new arrival will join the couple#39;s daughter Billie Beatrice, 1
When we spoke to Olivia a couple of weeks ago, she mentioned a new addition to the “Love & Hip-Hop” cast. Today, we know who she is and it actually makes a lot of sense when you think of the rest of the cast. Do you know who’s BM is going to be cashing in those reality checks next? Juelz Santana’s girlfriend Kimbella, who is also the mother of his 10-month-old son, will be the newest cast member to join VH1′s top rated reality show “Love & Hip Hop” a source told AllHipHop.com. Juelz met the model and mother of two on the social networking site Twitter and the two have been inseparable ever since. Kimbella, who is currently on the cover of Black Men Magazine’s June issue along with Keyshia Dior and Charm Killings, will be branching out to expand her career into acting and music. Kimbella discussed her career in a previous interview with AllHipHop.com, conducted prior to her being cast in the reality show. “I’m trying to transition into acting and singing,” Kimbella told AllHipHop.com. “I’m launching my pop career and as we speak I’m recording in the studio. My sound is definitely not Beyonce, but more of a Fergie, Rihanna type sound.” Oh boy. At least these two seem to have a pretty drama free relationship. Flip through for more pics of Juelz and Kimbella all bunned up and their little bundle of joy.
Amazonian uberbabe Rachel Hunter has skinspired a few famous men over the years- her exes Rod Stewart and Kip Winger for starters- so it makes sense that the former Sports Illustrated swimsuit model would be a good candidate to try to motivate guys to exercise. Firebrand femme Emma Stone appears on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine this month, sporting a sexy tousled blonde ‘do and a fantastic bikini body. So fantastic, in fact, that we’re willing to overlook the gaps in her skinema knowledge- almost. In the interview Emma says that one of her career role models is French star and Oscar-winner Marion Cotillard , because she, uhm, doesn’t do nude scenes. “She’s so sexy, and she’s covered up!” quoth the new, blonde Emma. Sorry Emma, but if Marion Cotillard doesn’t do nude scenes, how’d she become a Mr. Skin Nudity Hall-of-Famer ? We have 13 sexamples of Marion being sexy and completely UN-covered, from The Story of a Boy who Wanted to be Kissed (1994) to toi et moi (2006). What can we say? We’re sticklers for the naked truth. Now just one question remains- since your role model is clearly comfortable with onscreen nudity, when do we get to see those Stone boulders, Emma? See the (ahem) physical evidence with Marion Cotillard nude after the jump!
Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello and Axwell tap rising star Zedd for a remix of their current single. By Akshay Bhansali Swedish House Mafia Photo: Kevork Djansezian/ Getty Images Fans of Swedish House Mafia know the holy trinity of house — Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell and Steve Angello — as not only superstar DJ/producers in their own right, but also as tastemakers in the music business, launching impressive young talent into a completely different stratosphere. In Miami, at their Masquerade Motel: One Night Stand party in March, Swedish House Mafia debuted the epic “Nillionaire” by rising electronic dance music star Alesso (signed to Ingrosso’s label, Refune), who has since gone on to have tremendous Beatport.com chart success with his “Pressure” remix (originally by Nadia Ali, Alex Kenji and Starkillers) and his remix of SHM’s latest single, “Save the World.” Now, they introduce you to Zedd , a.k.a. Anton Zaslavski. Hailing from Kaiserslautern, Germany, the 21-year-old Zedd comes from a family of musicians (his father was in several bands and played classical guitar and his mother taught him how to play piano) and began producing electronic dance music in 2009, though he also plays in a metal band called Dioramic. He began receiving EDM acclaim after winning two Beatport.com remix competitions and has had dance charting success with his singles “Autonomy,” “The Legend of Zelda” and “Anthem.” Zedd has also collabed on mixes for a few folks you may know: Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, Diddy and dubstep star Skrillex. The three Swedes are unleashing Zedd’s new mix of their hit single “Save the World,” an electro house banger that has been making it into superstar DJ sets and gathering nods from some of the biggest acts in dance music. “Respect to mister @zedd for his killer Save the world tonight remix, thats the one you’ve been waiting for!” Afrojack tweeted recently. MTV News has the exclusive premiere: Stream “Save the World” (Zedd Remix) in the player above. The song will be made available for purchase in the next two weeks. What do you think of Zedd’s remix of Swedish House Mafia’s “Save the World”? Let us know in the comments below!
