Warrant issued for Czar Entertainment CEO’s arrest in connection to drug case. By Gil Kaufman The Game Photo: Moses Robinson/ WireImage Czar Entertainment boss Jimmy “Henchman” Rosemond, who manages the careers of the Game and Sean Kingston, among others, was reportedly on the run on Tuesday (May 17) after federal authorities issued an arrest warrant for him in connection with a drug case. The New York Post reported that the warrant was issued last week after the feds indicted Rosemond for his alleged involvement in a cocaine distribution ring. At press time, the paper said Rosemond had not yet been found and that an unnamed law enforcement source confirmed that there was a fugitive warrant out for the hip-hop mogul. Just hours after the story broke, Rosemond’s lawyer, Jeffrey Lichtman, told MTV News that he had not seen the arrest warrant or indictment but that he was aware of the case. “I’ve spoke to Jimmy and this is not a surprise,” he said. “We’ve been defending this in the pre-indictment stage for years now.” What he was surprised by, though, was that he did not know about the arrest warrant until he read about it in the New York tabloid. Lichtman said that considering the narcotics investigation has been going on for an unspecified number of years, he knew it was “inevitable” that charges would be brought, but that he didn’t know when it might happen. “I don’t dispute the fact that there is an arrest warrant, but I haven’t seen it,” he said. “I suppose they’re looking for him now, and when they find him, the case will start.” Asked if Rosemond would turn himself in to face the charges, Lichtman said he did not know. Rosemond has a colorful past, and last year, the New York Daily News reported that he had been named in court records as an informant for state and federal law enforcement officials dating back to the mid-1990s. His former lawyers requested leniency in a Los Angeles gun case against Rosemond by citing his repeated cooperation with authorities. In 2008, Rosemond called for the firing of former Los Angeles Times reporter Chuck Phillips after the journalist implicated Rosemond in an article claiming that he was among the men behind the 1994 ambush of late rapper Tupac Shakur at a New York recording studio. The previous year, Rosemond’s then-14-year-old son was allegedly roughed up by G-Unit member Tony Yayo as part of an alleged ongoing beef between G-Unit and Czar, who split ways in 2005; the charges against Yayo were dropped a year later when he pleaded to a lesser crime of noncriminal harassment. Cameron Crowe-directed retrospective set to premiere in September. By James Montgomery, with reporting by Sasha Hamrogue Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder Photo: Michel Linssen/ Redferns On October 22, 1990, Mookie Blaylock played their first official show at the Off Ramp Cafe in Seattle. Rock historians would come to imbue this event with understandable import: After all, Mookie Blaylock would go on to become Pearl Jam, one of the most important rock outfits of the past two decades. And now, with the 20th anniversary of that debut show on the horizon, the members of Pearl Jam are looking back for the first time in their careers — and they still can’t believe they’ve made it this far. Luckily, they’ve got Cameron Crowe to help them remember their journey from Seattle mid-carders to one of the biggest acts on the planet. He’s directed a documentary called, appropriately enough, “Pearl Jam Twenty,” that culls through more than 1,200 hours of rare footage — plus 24 hours of recently shot interviews — to provide a definitive look at the band’s legendary career. The film is reportedly set to premiere in September — though, on Monday, PBS announced it would broadcast it in October as part of its “American Masters” series — meaning that, at long last, guitarist Mike McCready, one of Pearl Jam’s founding members, is being forced to come to terms with his band’s own mortality. “Yeah, it all went very quickly,” he said, laughing. “There were many highs and lows throughout our career, and many arcs of creativity [and] tragedies … that run the whole gamut of human emotions, being in this. From being in a band with guys for 20 years, and having fights and making up, and being brothers in a way, looking out for each other.” And part of what appeals to McCready about Crowe’s film is that it somehow manages to tie all of those things together into one cohesive and comprehensive work — one that had even the longtime guitarist getting a bit nostalgic. “When I saw the early … edits of it, I thought it was very interesting and kind of exciting and, like I said, it runs the gamut of all those emotions,” he explained. “And it actually put in some sort of musical perspective the past 20 years, like, ‘Oh yeah, we did do that, we did do this’: the Ticketmaster thing , there was Roskilde , there were all these issues, and there were these great highs and interesting beginnings. The story it tells is: Why did it work, and why does it still? It made more sense when I saw the movie.” But “Twenty” isn’t the only thing Pearl Jam have in store for fans to commemorate the occasion: They’ve also announced plans for a Labor Day weekend concert alongside the likes of the Strokes, Queens of the Stone Age and Mudhoney, and, as McCready hinted, there might even be some new music on the way. Or maybe not. After all, all this nostalgia takes up a lot of time. “Jeff [Ament] and Ed [Vedder] were really wanting to do more music in the terms of, ‘It’s our 20th anniversary. Let’s celebrate that, but let’s also do some new music,’ and we’re all into that,” McCready said. “So, you may see some new music, you may not. I know we’re going to record some new music this year; it may not be finished by the end of the year.” Are you excited to see the Pearl Jam documentary? Tell us below! Related Artists Pearl Jam

Her name is Shanay Hall and she’s not black, despite her name… I don’t know much about fashion, but if this is what it’s about, I’m tempted to pull a Bruno, fag out and trick these bitches into thinking I’m important enough to try to convert to heterosexuality via coked up blowjobs to advance their careers..Imagine the blowjobs…these hungry models give while taking out their hunger, sucking up any nutrients, even if it is only 10 calories of semen…..Amazing… I’ve never heard of this model, Shanay Hall, but I need to see more of this bitch, cuz when she’s a half naked and sexed up dominatrix for fashion…I’m sure she’s a few steps away of spreading her pussy for fashion, you just need the right gay guy with connections and a vision there to convince her….It’s amazing what bitches will do to get noticed…it’s like they are all whores or something…how could that be…LOL…. Yes, I just LOLed. It was to represent irony. I just don’t know what irony means. Maybe it was meant to represent sarcasm. Who knows, it’s early. fuck you…

Compton-born Young Money MC will join host Sway and take your questions on New West-themed edition of the show on MTV.com. By Alvin Blanco Tyga Photo: Christie Goodwin/ Getty Images Tyga will join us on this Wednesday’s special New West edition of MTV News’ “RapFix Live.” The Young Money rapper will only chat it up with host Sway, but we’ll have an in-depth look at some of the Cali rap acts that are making L.A. a go-to hip-hop destination once again. As always, we’ll also be taking your questions! Last year, the Compton, California, rapper caught an inadvertent hit when his Chris Brown collabo, “Deuces,” from their joint mixtape, Fan of a Fan, burned up the airwaves, landing at #1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Tyga and Brown went on to earn a Grammy nomination in the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration category for the song he co-wrote, and he’s now prepping his forthcoming album, Careless World. Before connecting with the YMCMB, Tyga was already making a name for himself on the L.A. rap circuit. In 2008, he dropped his debut single, “Coconut Juice,” which featured his cousin Travie McCoy. Soon Tyga became acquainted with Lil Wayne — the two appeared together on a remix to Fall Out Boy’s “Arms Race” — and signed on with Young Money a year or so later. Tyga cemented his place in the crew by contributing to Young Money’s hits “BedRock” and “Roger That.” Tyga is hoping to prove his patience will pay off as he’s waited in the wings for fellow YMCMB teammates Drake and Nicki Minaj to launch their careers. The first singles from Careless World, “I’m On It,” featuring Lil Wayne, and “Really Raw,” featuring Snoop Dogg and Pharrell, have heads checking for the project’s release. And earlier this year, Tyga revealed a Drake collaboration will be included on it too. We’ve already spotlighted Nipsey Hussle and Casey Veggies and our New West coverage will continue on “RapFix Live” with closer looks at the movements of Black Hippy (Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul and School Boy Q) and Odd Future. Apart from the insight into the diverse underground rap sounds coming out of L.A., we’ll also be examining its party and dance scene . Find out what else is in store from Tyga and the rest of the YMCB crew when he sits down for his interview on the “RapFix” couch. The “Deuces” rapper will be taking questions from the audience via Twitter, @MTVRapFix with the hashtag #rapfixlive. Fans can also upload video questions for Young Money’s next star via Your.MTV.com . Tune in on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET on MTV.com. Stick with us all week as MTV News turns the spotlight on the New West, including a special edition of with Cali’s own Tyga on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET on MTV.com. We’re bringing you the next wave of hip-hop acts helping restore faith in the L.A. rap scene. From groups like Odd Future to rising MCs like Dom Kennedy, we’ll bring you up close and personal to these artists as they carve their own lanes in the post-gangsta rap era. Keep it locked here for the next week for more on the West Coast up-and-comers! Related Videos Tyga Is Coming To ‘RapFix Live’ Related Artists Tyga
