300,000 Apple iPads Sold in the US on First Day Release

Apple’s new product the iPad got fare results on the number of units sold upon its first day release recently. 300,000 Apple iPads were sold on the first day release. Analysts on the other hand, expected Apple to sell more than 300,000 iPad units on the first day as  forecasts expected first-day iPad sales of 400,000 to 500,000 units. Estimates for global iPad sales this year ranged from 2.5 million by financial-services firm Kaufman Bros. to as high as 7.1 million by research firm iSuppli Corp. The Apple iPad costs $499 on Apple Stores around the world. The only thing that consumers have been complaining so far about iPad units is the Wifi connection. So far sales of the Apple iPad are projected to increase as weeks go by. Last Monday Apple had announced something really exciting. It’s going to have a special sneak peak event on Thursday with regards to the upcoming next-generation iPhone operating system that will run also on the iPod Touch and iPad. The new operating system is expected to be integrated with the iPad interface.
