Chloe Moretz has joined the cast of The Equalizer . The film, which is based on the 1980s TV show, will star Denzel Washington as a covert operations officer who moves on to a life of atonement by helping people in need. Moretz will play a young prostitute, in a role that is being equated to Jodie Foster’s in Taxi Driver . The role was originally intended for an actress in her twenties, but Washington and director Antoine Fuqua ultimately liked Moretz’s on-screen chemistry with the star. The Equalizer is expected to be released April 11, 2014.
