Ariana Grande has won the American Music Awards. In a literal sense, the 20-year old picked up the Kohl’s New Artist of the Year trophy at this evening’s event, beating out Florida Georgia Line, Imagine Dragons, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and Phillip Phillips. But in a more figurative sense, the young singer became the talk of the night after performing a stripped down version of “Tattooed Heart” for attendees. It earned a standing ovation from all on hand, most notably Lady Gaga , who was clearly blown away by Grande’s vocals. Watch now: Ariana Grande – “Tattooed Heart” (American Music Awards) “That was the most nerve wracking thing ever and I haven’t had access to my phone all day but hi y’allllll love u I’m so nervous! u watching?” Ariana Tweeted after her performance. It’s safe to say she had no cause for concern, wouldn’t you say? Well done, Ariana!
