The future of Naya Rivera on Glee is very much in doubt. While earlier reports suggested the actress has been fired from this Fox comedy due to a feud with main star Lea Michele, an insider tells E! News that Rivera has NOT been let go from the series. However, she won’t be appearing on the Glee Season 5 finale either. But this change allegedly has nothing to do with any kind of Rivera-Michele beef, according to the source. “I don’t know where these stories are coming from, but they are not true,” E! writes. Rivera’s rep, meanwhile, reiterates that the actress may leave the series, but only out of her own volition, as many cast changes are expected to take place prior to Glee’s final season, which airs this fall. “Any reports or rumors circulating that Naya Rivera was let go or fired from Glee are absolutely untrue. End of story,” the rep states. Rivera has starred as Santana Lopez since Glee Season 1, with her character featured more prominently as the years went on. She was at the center of a memorable lesbian storyline just a couple seasons ago. The Glee Season 5 finale airs on May 13 and it’s already been announced that Season 6 will be it for this floundering series, whose ratings have been in the tank for awhile now.
