As a result, the MGM was sued, for a lot of money by multiple people. Today, the AP reported that those lawsuits have been settled by MGM Resorts International to the tune of, wait for it, up to $800 million. Insurance will pay $735 million and the company might kick in more depending on how many people participate. The suits claim that the hotel not only failed to protect concertgoers at the Mandalay Bay, they also failed to keep the shooter from building a stockpile of weapons and ammunition inside his hotel room for days and days. Las Vegas law firm Eglet Adams represents almost 2,500 plaintiffs. “Today’s agreement marks a milestone in the recovery process for the victims of the horrifying events of 1 October,” Robert Eglet, a lead plaintiffs’ counsel, said in the statement. “While nothing will be able to bring back the lives lost or undo the horrors so many suffered on that day, this settlement will provide fair compensation for thousands of victims and their families.” Victims and their families exploded in righteous indignation last year when MGM filed 1,900 lawsuits stating that they had no liability in the shooting under a federal 9/11-related protections bill. It’s only been four months since Jim Bob Duggar’s mother, Mary Duggar, died in a freak drowning accident. And now, the family is forced to cope with the loss of another life taken before its time. Multiple sources have now confirmed that Rebecca Waller was killed in a traffic accident near her home in Harris, Minnesota on Wednesday. She was 22 years old. Rebecca is the sister-in-law of Anna’s sister Priscilla Waller. Priscilla’s husband, David Waller, shared the news of his sister’s passing on social media: “With heavy hearts, we received a phone call today that David’s youngest sister, Rebecca went home to heaven today, October 2, at around 8:30 a.m.,” he wrote. “The twenty-two years of life that God gave us with her seem so short, but in light of eternity all of our lives are short.” Waller continued: “The most important thing is a relationship with Jesus Christ that Rebecca evidenced by the fruit of her life. “She is in heaven today, not because she was a good person, but because she trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior,” he added. “The instant her car was struck, she passed from earth to heaven and is in the presence of the Lord.” According to police reports obtained by Radar Online, Rebecca was killed instantly when she was struck by two cars after running a red light and attempting to “cross westbound traffic.” While Anna lived far away from her Minnesota relatives, insiders say she has always maintained close relationships with her siblings and their spouses. Currently, Anna is expecting her sixth child , and this is the second loss she has suffered during the pregnancy. Anna has paid tribute to Mary Duggar numerous times on social media, and those who know the family best say she was especially close to the woman whom she thought of not as an in-law, but as her own grandmother. Anna has not yet spoken publicly about the loss of her brother-in-law’s wife, but knowing how important familial bonds are within the Duggar clan, it’s safe to assume she’s overcome with grief. On Thursday morning, the 22-year old reality star spoke out for the first time she ending her relationship with Travis Scott , telling Twitter followers that she and the rapper are doing just fine at the moment. “Travis and i are on great terms and our main focus right now is Stormi. our friendship and our daughter is priority,” wrote the veteran reality star and beauty mogul. To the shock of fans around the world, multiple outlets reported this week that Jenner and Scott were taking a break from their seemingly very serious romance, with at least one insider stating the following: “Kylie and Travis aren’t officially calling it quits on their relationship, but are taking space apart. It’s not a firm split. They’ve been fighting again, but have still seen each other within this last month.” Kylie, as you can see above, does not dispute this account. But she does dispute the notion that she’s actually back together with her ex-boyfriend, Tyga. After photos surfaced of her friends at a recording studio the artist was using, numerous celebrity gossip sites alleged that Kylie and Tyga were basically on a very late-night date together. FALSE, Kylie now says. “The internet makes everything 100 times more dramatic than what it really is,” wrote Kylie in response to this rumor, adding: “There was no “2am date with Tyga”. You see me drop two of my friends off at a studio that he happened to be at.” We’re pretty sure this is safe to believe; it would be wild for Kylie to have gone straight from Scott back into the arms of Tyga. As for what happened between Kylie and Travis? We can only go by second-hand accounts here. “There were several issues that made them decide to take a break,” says a People Magazine source. “Kylie is all about family life and really wants a second baby.” This speculation had been circulating for awhile. We were so surprised to learn about the break-up because we had heard that Jenner and Scott were just recently discussing said second baby . It sounds like this may have been the case… and the debate on whether or not to go for it is one of the reasons why the romance is now over. “She still has trust issues with Travis,” explained this People source. He hasn’t been giving her the commitment that she needs. Travis isn’t ready to give her all that she wants.” Just this past February, there was talk of Scott cheating on Kylie , but it doesn’t sound like infidelity played any role in the couple’s split. Scott, who was last seen out with Jenner on August 28, has not yet commented on his romantic status. 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way fans have a lot of opinions about the possibilty of Evelin Villegas and Corey Rathgeber getting back together . It turns out that they may not have to worry about that — but about someone else snatching him up. Corey was spotted with Larissa Lima, who openly expressed interest. And now Evelin is trying to warn her away. Late Wednesday night, Larissa Lima shared a selfie after she ran into Corey Rathgeber. Though both 90 Day Fiance stars, the two were on different seasons and have very different reputations. But, surely they both just happened to be in Vegas at the same time, right? After all, Corey has shared other photos, particularly snaps of him with beloved 90 Day Fiance stars David and Annie. But, as you’ll soon see, this simple selfie may be much more significant. So, on Thursday, Evelin went off in her Instagram Stories, addressing both fan complaints about her and her thoughts on Corey himself. “All [Corey] give me lately is disappointment,” Evelin writes. She continues, saying that he is “clearly in a ridiculous desperate need for fame and recognition.” Evelin points out: “There’s only one more minute of your ‘fame.'” She concludes that post by admonishing him: “Stop being a loser.” One fan commented on the selfie of Larissa and Corey that the pair make a cute couple, and Larissa wrote: “I agree.” This clearly set off Evelin. “I love you Larissa,” she begins. “But Corey is way too boring and needy for anybody.” “And he doesn’t have money,” Evelin warns, clearly thinking of Larissa’s reputation as a gold digger. Producers prepared him, had him sign a mental health waiver, and showed him a video that upset him a great deal. According to a leaker, he broke down crying and then spoke to a therapist that TLC had waiting for him backstage. Days later, he blocked Evelin on Instagram, much to her frustration. Recently, he unblocked her and the two refollowed each other. Now, days later, it appears that they didn’t go much further than that in patching things up. Meanwhile, Larissa broke up with her ex, Eric Nichols, less than a month ago. Yes, Larissa said she’s so tired of men taking advantage of her. But it’s been a few weeks since then. Some people really, truly do not like to be single, and there’s more to that than just general horniness. It’s possible that Larissa is one such person. It took about this much time after her scary, violent breakup with Colt for her to join Tinder. We don’t know that she or Corey are each other’s types, but … you never know. And Larissa sounds interested. Obviously, some viewers have taken an intense, even excessive dislike to Evelin Villegas. One should remember that these shows are heavily edited. Editing won’t put words in your mouth, but they can show only the negative if they want. Also, some of the things said to and about Evelin were hateful, ignorant, and even racist. Some, particularly certain older female fans who would just love to get their hands on Corey for themselves, want him to stay broken up with Evelin. But it looks like the actress is still no closer to forgiving her former husband for whatever went down on that private jet back in 2016. According to a new report from Us Weekly , Angie was so traumatized by her brief marriage to Brad, that she’s vowed she “will never get married again.” In fact, it seems she never wanted to tie the knot in the first place! “She felt that Brad pressured her,” a source tells the tabloid. While the split between the A-listers was far from amicable, this is the first mention from either side of Jolie entering the marriage reluctantly. Brad and Angelina were together for nearly a decade when they finally tied the knot in 2014 . The couple said at the time that it was their six children who talked them into exchanging vows. But if the source from Us is to be believed, Angie is now claiming that Brad’s the one who wanted to make it legal. For the most part, the former couple has been as private about their divorce as they were about their marriage, but Brad did open up about the split during a recent interview with NPR: “I would be exploring it whether there was a script that allowed that or not,” he said while promoting his new film, Ad Astra. “A breakup of a family is certainly an eye-opener that as one — and I’m speaking in general again — but as one needs to understand, I had to understand my own culpability in that, and what can I do better. Planet Hollywood was buzzing as winners from six regional qualifier events held across the United States came together in front of a packed crowd to celebrate street dance in all its forms. Throughout the evening, the greatest dancers in America showcased their best freestyle hip-hop, popping, waacking, locking, and breaking as they went head-to-head with their competitors in hopes of taking it all. Unlike more traditional competitions, you won’t find a panel of judges here; Dance Your Style is as much about charisma and connection as it is about skill. The audience was more engaged than ever as each round ended with a vote signified by displaying either a red or blue light on each individual’s bracelet. There were some seriously tough rounds that ended in tie-breakers and calls for a recount, but in the end, crowd-favorite Neguin was crowned the Red Bull Dance Your Style 2019 champion. The second act of the evening was Kida The Great, known for his viral dance videos and for winning Season 13 of So You Think You Can Dance . The final performance came from Compton born and raised musician Channel Tres, who had the whole floor dancing as he performed hit singles “Topdown’ and ‘Controller.” Following his win, Neguin will advance to the World Finals taking place across the pond in Paris, France on October 12. This will serve as the accumulation of more than 50 events held in over 30 countries all over the world, bringing together the most exceptional talents from all walks of life to compete at the first-ever World Final.
