Is this Ashanti’s bush? Do you even care if it is? Do you even know who Ashanti is? Are the chances of any woman over the age of 35 having a solid bush even possible, unless they are married, obese and have given up…older women are the most brainwashed into thinking bush is bad, cuz they grew up with it, and were there when bald became a trend, it is the younger girls out there with BUSH who get the amazingness bush has to offer… That said, I know some of you think she died in a plane crash after R. Kelly peed on her / married her at 15…..and I confuse her with that Ashanti too….but she’s not THAT Ashanti…she’s the other Ashanti who is alive, old and fat, spreading her legs like she was Nicki Minaj pretending to be Lil Kim, pretending to be a stripper….and there’s shadows….dark and scary shadows that could be bush…or just damaged skin from all that thigh rubbing…. WHO KNOWS… BUT the way her belly hangs over her bikini bottoms is its own kind of what the fuck is that. JOIN THE NEWSLETTER YOU ASSHOLES! The actress and CEO of Pattern Beauty graced the cover of Essence Magazine’s October Hair Issue and literally stopped the Internet with flawless flicks from the spread. Source: Itaysha Jordan / Itaysha Jordan/ Essence Magazine In the mag, Miss Ross: The Beauty Boss gushed about the new chapter in her life as the creator and founder of her very own Hair Care Company which celebrates the different curl patterns of naturalistas all over the globe. “It’s called Pattern because it is about the magical patterns of our hair. I am launching a haircare line for curly, coily and tight, textured hair to empower people and meet the unmet needs of our community at a price point we can afford, because we know that we need a lot of product in all this hair.” But just as the case is for most women of color, it was a long, hard journey for Tracee to embrace the beauty in her Blackness. “It took me way longer than I wish it had. I’d catch glimpses of people who saw beauty in ways I had missed because of the blinders society gave me. Then one day I was watching a Nina Simone documentary and I thought: Wait. It should be her name next to the word “beauty.” Why was I sold the wrong vision? My heart knows that’s beauty.” Source: Itaysha Jordan / Itaysha Jordan/ Essence Magazine However, despite how long the journey to pride took, the Black-ish star has always been relatable and woke. “A lot of people are awake right now, and thank God. I think I’m learning. I think I’m growing. There is a war that is happening, a fight for control over women’s bodies. Children in cages. Concentration camps in our country, right now. It keeps me up at night.” We love of woke, inspiring CEO! Pattern Beauty Products are officially available for purchase at patternbeauty.com . Source: Danielle James / Hello Beautiful On Monday evening in Union Square, Maki Oh founder and designer, Amaka Osakwe presented her collection to a crowd full of editors, fans, and supporters. The show was a pan-African experience with guests represented from all over the world. I had the pleasure of going backstage before the show and it was a very hectic, sometimes tense, yet overall organized feel. The presentation itself was a beautiful illustration of Afromodern fashion. Source: Yuchen Liao / Getty The Lagos born designer continues to show that African designs are more than Dutch wax and animal print. The models varied in height, sizes, and age, illustrating that the clothes are created for a wide range of women (and men). who want thoughtful style. I loved the gender fluidity that wasn’t purposefully called out, but rather, just represented naturally. Source: Yuchen Liao / Getty I swooned over the pearl embellishments decorating a khaki colored blazer as well as on the hem of a black dress to update your LBD style. Source: Yuchen Liao / Getty Maki uses traditional West African techniques with modern silhouettes to create a head turning collection. Source: Danielle James / Hello Beautiful It’s been awhile since I’ve been to a show where every model loved their hair. Maki Oh utilized fabrics from her latest collection to intertwine them into one long braided ponytail for a statement look. Unlike her counterpart, Christian Siriano , this was truly a way to pay tribute to the culture and Black women who started the trend. The collection felt like a perfect fusion of West African fashion meeting European silhouettes and trends. On the cusp of the 10 year anniversary of Maki Oh, this collection was strong, relatable, and most importantly sellable. As fashion continues to evolve and consumers want more of a global feel, Maki Oh is providing prints and looks that won’t go out of fashion for years to come. Source: Hayden Greene / Hayden Greene As rumors fly that New York Fashion Week is losing its impact, one thing remains certain. We still rule the runway and the sidewalks. Black style, Black talent, and Black creativity has always set industry trends and now black entertainers are starting to share of that cultural capital with Black brands. We stopped by the Circle of Sisters Expo to ask some of the biggest names in entertainment some of their favorites. Check out what they had to say below when we asked them about their favorite Black brands. Source: L’Oréal Paris / L’Oréal Paris Oscar-winning actress Viola Davis is adding another achievement to her already impeccable resume: L’Oréal Paris spokesperson. On Tuesday (September 10), it was announced that the 54-year-old How to Get Away With Murder star will be the face of the company’s L’Oréal Paris’ Age Perfect line. In an interview with PEOPLE , Viola admitted that this all feels “surreal,” especially since she has never felt linked to the concepts of “beauty and femininity.” “It feels surreal,” the Emmy and Golden Globe winner recently told PEOPLE. “First of all, and you can take what I’m about to say with a grain of salt, I never thought that I could be an international spokesperson for L’Oréal. The fact that I am, it feels like my life has come full circle.” Adding, “When I thought of beauty and femininity when I was a young scrappy girl growing up in Central Falls, Rhode Island, I didn’t associate it with myself. I didn’t think that I had all those attributes that women who are seen like that should have.” Here she is, looking fresh-faced and L’Oréal ready with her natural hair and gleaming smile front and center: Source: L’Oréal Paris / L’Oréal Paris Voila’s TV, print and digital campaigns for the skincare and cosmetics company will drop at the beginning of October, and she’s amongst fantastic company, joining the likes of fellow Oscar winner Helen Miren , HTGAWM co-star Aja Naomi King and Eva Longoria to name a few. L’Oreal wrote on their official Instagram page that Viola is a ‘force to be reckoned with.” “Viola Davis is an #unstoppable force to be reckoned with. And we are so excited that she’s joined the #lorealparisfamily . Viola, you show us every day that with courage and confidence there is no limit to what a strong, beautiful woman can do. It’s the sort of mantra we should tell all our little girls.” As we’ve previously reported, these past few months have been nothing but major announcements for Viola. Noah Cyrus is doing her best MILEY CYRUS LESBIANISM because she’s a mooch bitch who only exists because of her sister. Her entire fucking existence as anything is because of her sister. Sure you can argue BILLY RAY has impact on the world with his one, now TWO hits, but if it wasn’t for Miley, the second tier bootleg sister wouldn’t be followed and we wouldn’t be talking about her taking a “Getting fucked by a strap on, strapped to a big girl”….seriously, we’d pay no attention to it…but instead I am looking at her trying to understand why she’s acting like she’s hot, obviously too much positive reinforcement when she was growing up so that she didn’t develop a complex for not being MILEY….chubby monster with her own take on lesbianism for attention and it’s a little too feminist college millennial for me…thanks to who is cast in the photos.
