Source: Marcos Vianna/CON / Getty Prison Brawl Between Rival Brazilian Gangs Leaves 57 People Dead & 16 Decapitated All-out chaos struck a Brazilian prison on Monday resulting in the death of 57 people. According to HuffPost , a brawl took off in the Altamira prison between inmates during a clash between organized crime groups. Sixteen of the 57 people who died were decapitated, according to prison officials. Para state prison authorities said that the fight broke out around 7 a.m. between the Rio de Janeiro-based Comando Vermelho and the local crime group Comando Classe A. “Leaders of the (Comando Classe A) set fire to a cell belonging to one of the prison’s pavilions, where members of the (Comando Vermelho) were located,” a statement described. State prisons chief Jarbas Vasconcelos said the fire quickly spread with inmates held in old container units that had been adapted for the prison. Police forces weren’t able to enter the building for several hours because of the fire, and two prison staff members were held hostage, but were eventually let go. “It was a targeted attack. The aim was to show that it was a settling of accounts between the two groups, not a protest or rebellion against the prison system,” Vasconcelos explained. No firearms were discovered by authorities, only makeshift knives. Forty-six inmates are now expected to be transferred to other prisons, ten of which will travel to stricter federal facilities. Brazil has developed sort of a bad reputation for its overcrowded prisons. According to a July 2019 report from the National Justice Council, one prison had 343 detainees for a maximum capacity of 163. This isn’t the first time rival gangs have clashed in Brazil either. In 2017, more than 120 inmates died in prisons across a number of northern states when rival gangs fought over control of drug-trafficking routes in the region. At the Altamira prison, state authorities are drafting a security plan to avoid any further violence or retaliation in the region.

Source: Prince Williams / Getty Jasmine Blasts Kirk And Rasheeda For Allegedly Ignoring Son The woman who had a baby with married Kirk Frost is defending herself from criticism that aired during the “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” reunion . Jasmine was absent during part II of the reunion that aired this week but she was a hot topic of discussion for Kirk and his wife Rasheeda. As previously reported Jasmine’s been adamant that Kirk hasn’t been as present as he could be for his son Kannon but both Kirk and Rasheeda said that’s untrue. During the reunion, they both expressed that Jasmine’s been expecting too much from Kirk who’s still VERY MUCH married and at times spending time with his family. Kirk apparently thinks that Jasmine wants him to be around as though they were dating. “I think she expects me to be there like she was in a relationship,” said Kirk. “And she gotta understand, it was something different, and you chose to move forward with the situation, and you gotta kind of deal with it.” “You had a child with a married man and a family. He’s not gonna change his structure for you,” added Rasheeda. “He never made you think that sh-t from the beginning! So don’t think now that that child is in place that everything is gonna change. According to Jasmine, she was uninvited from the reunion after she banned “TV parents” Kirk and Rasheeda from filming with her son. Jasmine says the couple’s been using her son for the cameras when in all actuality they don’t care about him. She also alleged that they filmed fake scenes surrounding her calling and texting Kirk and added that neither Kirk nor Rasheeda called him for his birthday because they’re ignoring him completely. “Y’all just trying to move on and live like Kannon doesn’t exist but he’s here and his mother is gonna fight for every bit of respect, love and appreciation he deserves,” wrote Jasmine. The senator made a big splash at the presidential primary debate on Tuesday, pushing her far-left policies and not backing down against anyone who challenged her. When the topic of taxing the rich came up, the presidential candidate couldn’t hide her excitement. CNN anchor and debate moderator Don Lemon posed a question to Rep. John Delaney , asking whether Warren’s proposed wealth tax was a fair way to fund child care and education: “Your estimated net worth is more than $65 million,” Lemon told Delaney. “That would make you subject to Sen. Warren’s proposed wealth tax on the assets of the richest 75,000 homes, households or so in the United States. Do you think Senator Warren’s wealth tax is a fair way to fund child care and education?” Warren was clearly excited about possibly getting Delaney’s over $65 million taxable assets because she giddily rubbed her hands together when the question was posed.
