Catelynn Lowell Mom-Shamed by Jerks for No Longer Breastfeeding Vaeda

Tyler Baltierra is determined to prove that he still loves Catelynn Lowell , and he’s not doing a bad job of it. On Sunday’s Teen Mom OG , Catelynn opened up about her desire to stop breastfeeding baby Vaeda. Mom-shamers swarmed over her on social media, but Tyler is firmly defending her choice. “It’s hard,” Catelynn confessed on Teen Mom OG . “People always post the wonderful things about breast-feeding, which is wonderful …” she acknowledged. Breastfeeding provides a baby with vital nutrients, immune support, gut flora, and can be an important bonding process for mother and child. “But,” Catelynn observed. “They don’t mention that you have your kid stuck to you for 24 hours.” Yep. A lot of conversations skip that part. Catelynn then pours over a list of gripes about the harsh realities of breastfeeding. “Or you’re afraid they’re not getting enough,” she suggested. “Or,” she added. “They want to eat 60 times a day.” That’s just a little over twice an hour. Catelynn also warned: “or about the bleeding nipples.” Catelynn also laid out the logistical problems of being your baby’s sole food source. “[With] nursing, it’s hard for me to even schedule my own therapy,” Catelynn admitted in the clip. She explained that this was true “because it’s an hour and a half there.” “I could take her with me,” Catelynn admitted. “And nurse when I’m there.” That’s not an ideal therapy appointment. Catelynn was openly worried that deciding to quit breasteeding Vaeda would be viewed as “selfish” by Teen Mom OG fans. Okay, let’s be real — by mom-shamers. Catelynn even pointed out that Vaeda had already gotten all of the “antibodies and proteins” that she needed. But still, it was good to hear Tyler support her decision. “You’re a great mom,” Tyler affirmed. “You’re going to do whatever is best for you and the baby, period.” However, mom-shamers on social media lashed out with cruel messages about Catelynn’s choice. “It’s not difficult, it’s easy,” claimed one mom-shamer. “Not bottles, just you and baby to breast. And it’s healthier, no doubt.” “I breastfed all four of my kids and never once looked for applause, recognition, or admiration,” boasted another. “Does everything these dolts do require applause? ” Another shamer accused: “with your public platform, and knowing that there are significant benefits to breast feeding, I think this is irresponsible.” People are so judgmental about the most harmless stuff sometimes. Tyler clapped back, continuing to support his wife with a post on Twitter. ” Vaeda is the happiest, healthiest little baby I have ever seen!” Tyler announced. “So, a little advice to all of you ‘Pinterest Perfect Parents’,” he continued. Tyler wrote: “If that baby didn’t develop in your uterus, you don’t have a right to say what’s best for that baby. PERIOD.” He concluded his powerfully defensive tweet with a pair of hashtags: ” #FedisBest   #MomsKnowBest ” Note that “Fed Is Best” is not about the Fed, but about the idea that feeding a baby is more important than feeding that baby breastmilk, specifically. Some babies have gone malnourished because a parent struggled to nurse them and were convinced that formula was poison . That must never happen again. Derick Dillard Claims Duggar Women Have Rights, Admits Counting On Is Scripted

As we discussed earlier this week, it often seems as though there’s a rivalry between the women in the Duggar family . There’s nothing wrong with a little healthy competition among siblings, of course, but the Duggar ladies aren’t trying to outdo each other in terms of career goals, physical fitness, or contributions to the communities in which they live. No, they’re only attempting to outdo each other in two areas — baby-making, and keeping their husbands happy. And there’s nothing wrong with living that sort of ultra-traditional lifestyle — if that’s what floats your boat. But Jill probably shouldn’t be terribly surprised when some fans have trouble taking her political commentary seriously. The mother of two recently attended a celebration of women’s suffrage at the Arkansas Governor’s mansion, and many were less than thrilled with what she had to say about the occasion: “Thanks to my friend, Nancy, I had a lovely time at the governor’s mansion for a tea celebrating 100 years since women were finally able to exercise the right to vote!” Jill wrote, adding: “@govasahutchinson @arfirstlady #arkansaswomenssuffrage #womensrighttovote.” The response to the post was swift — and surprisingly harsh. “I had to giggle. The ladies in your family have no rights. The men control you. I do love your family and show but come on!!” “You’re mistaken,” Jill calmly replied. Her husband Derick Dillard, as always was much more verbose — and much more confrontational — in his response. “If you only know our family from a semi-scripted show then you are either assuming things that aren’t there or believe that all you see is all there is,” he replied. “If Jill felt the Lord leading her to run for governor, I would not only vote for her, but support her in every way a spouse can.” Only in the Duggar clan is “I would totes vote for my wife if she were running for office” considered a statement of wokeness. Also, did he really just describe Counting On as “semi-scripted”? Jim Bob’s not gonna like that, Yogi! Later, when another fan asked, “Would you vote for a female president?” Derick replied, “Yes.” As usual, most of the commenters on Jill’s pic were on her side — but it was close. A surprising number called her out for her alleged hypocrisy, arguing that she has no right to celebrate women’s victories in the political arena while participating in a cult that actively works to oppress women’s rights. “I find this strange from a family brought up with such a stringent guideline for the woman’s role and patriarchal control,” wrote one follower. “Come on it’s a complete joke how these women are taught!!” another remarked. “They don’t even go to college or have jobs outside the family home! You all can deny it all you want but they do not live like most!!” It seems Jill is planning to sit this one out going forward. Peter Weber to Hannah Brown: You’ll Always Be More Than a Mere Windmill Conquest!

As we learned on The Bachelorette last night , Peter Weber had sex with Hannah Brown four times inside of a special windmill hotel-type room during this season’s Fantasy Suite week. Alas, those were the final four times Peter Weber will ever have sex with Hannah Brown. Because The Bachelorette selected Tyler and Jed to be her two finalists heading into tonight’s concluding episode, sending Peter home in a limo filled with tears. Did Hannah make the wrong decision? Peter certainly thinks so, although he doesn’t appear to harbor any ill will toward his ex-lover. “She was just honestly the most amazing person I’ve ever met so far in my life,” Weber said on air, on the verge of a major breakdown. “I’m just grateful for all those memories we made and being able to fall in love with her.” In love with her?!?  Yes. “I really fell for her and I had no doubt that it was going to be us in the end,” Peter added. “I really didn’t [think I was going home]. That was tough to watch back.” Weber spoke with Chris Harrison on a stage after his portion of the dating show came to an end, reiterating his strong feelings for Brown. He made it sound like they will last for all of eternity. “I don’t think you can completely fall out of love with someone,” he said. “It’s been two months. I’ve been moving on and doing my best with that and I know time will heal all wounds. A little piece of my heart will always love her.” Hannah eventually came on the set to come face-to-face with Weber for the first time since their split, telling him that she wished he would have been more honest about his feelings for her from the beginning. “There wasn’t anything wrong and I know that’s probably hard to hear because I wish I could give you a clear concrete answer, but I truly thought you would meet my family,” she told him, adding: “I wish I would have known a little bit sooner about how you felt and you would have told me maybe. I was scared. I think I felt like you were scared to love me.” Brown explained that she always felt just a litle held back emotionally — but not physically, as she made very clear… … in front of Peter’s parents, no less! Addressing the legendary “windmill” moment, where she previously admitted to sleeping with Weber twice, Brown clarified that it was actually “four times,” prompting Peter to respond: “I still can confidently say that Jesus still loves both of us.” For the record, meanwhile, Weber did NOT address the accusations that were made by his ex-girlfriend, model Calee Lutes , who told Entertainment Tonight this month that Weber unexpectedly broke up with her in December… right before going on The Bachelorette. “He definitely didn’t go on the show for the right reasons. I believe he went on it for the chance at fame, and he got what he wanted,” Lues told ET in an email interview. Perhaps. Lil Nas X   has made history, smashing a much coveted Billboard record . His hit “Old Town Road” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus has officially spent 17 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This means that Lil Nas has officially beat the record set by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men with their timeless 1995 hit “One Sweet Day,” AND he beat the record matched by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee ‘s “Despacito” featuring Justin Bieber from 2017. Both these tracks spent 16 weeks at number one, but now the Yeehaw Agenda has taken over! Times have changed since “One Sweet Day” set the record. Now Billboard takes into account radio airplay and digital sales data when charting songs. So clearly, radio and the online world is still giddied up for young Nas X. It doesn’t hurt that he’s released various remixes of “Old Town Road,” which can helps his chances at spending an 18th week at No. 1. Doris died of a heart attack in 2014 just weeks after Rowland, 38, gave birth to her son, Titan. “I lost my mom to cardiac arrest,” Rowland told us. “This hit home for me.” The singer said it was “time for me to pour back into my body,” and embarked on a self-care, workout and wellness routine. These days, Rowland said she now enjoys yoga, jogging with friends, high-intensity interval training and pilates – and recently took up meditation. “I went one day and it absolutely changed my life,” Rowland said of meditating. ‘LHHATLS8’ Reunion Pt 2: Karlie Redd Actually Told The Truth

Source: Prince Williams / Getty It’s finally a wrap for season 8 of Love an Hip-Hop Atlanta . We pick up from the results of Karlie Redd’s VH1 sanctioned lie detector test. Basically, Karlie was telling the truth the entire time according to the test. There was no deception indicated when asked if she pooped on Pooh’s sheets, and about whether she had a threesome with Pooh and Hiriam, but the results were inconclusive when Karlie was asked if she was ever sexually intimate with Pooh and if she and Hiriam were ever sexually intimate. The inconclusive results are still shady, but for now, it seems like Karlie Redd told the truth. Pooh, looking like the liar that she is, starts yapping about how Karlie got butt shots on her bed, etc.   The thirst is real. They go at it for a hot second until Nina Parker calms them down. Then Mimi adds her two cents about the night in question. Basically, Mimi left Karlie at the house and then all of a sudden, the next day,  #TheBlogs had a story that a threesome happened at the house, which means someone leaked something, but Mimi didn’t see anything. Shekinah even jumps in and says that people do stuff like that in the A. For example, you could just be chilling at someone’s house thinking everything is on the up and up, then all of a sudden they’ll present you with a dildo just to see if you’re down with other extracurricular activities.  Pooh doesn’t like that at all so she just starts going in on Shekina’s looks but in the end Nina Parker regains control of the situation and asks the court of public opinion, aka the audience, to clap for either Karlie or Pooh depending on who they believe. Most people went with Karlie. So that’s that.   We move on to another segment where KK is in the spotlight, but then Pooh ends up using that as thee moment to run up on stage and sneak attack Karlie Redd. A lot of people get caught up in the melee, whether they got squashed as security tried to pull Pooh out of the scuffle, or whether they were involved in laying of the hands. KK sure pulled Pooh’s hair, and Tokyo Vanity may have tried to jump in too. Basically, Pooh is highly disliked and the sentiment only gets worse after she keeps getting into it with various people.    In more positive news, Scrapp apologizes to Moniece for stringing her along and KK drops obvious, but still needed advice: “Freelance sex creates feelings,” and that’s why she is celibate.   She ain’t lying.    Next up are Kirk and Rasheeda. Nina asks Rasheeda what she meant when she said there were infidelities in their relationship on both sides. Basically, she meant that the infidelity on her part was before they were married. Translation: She was still just trying to take some of the heat off of Kirk’s awful dalliances, one of which produced a child. Stand by your man, I guess.  Anyway, Kirk said they’ve been together for 25 years and have decided they can’t live without each other despite mistakes they’ve made and that’s that.    Then we end the episode on Spice’s publicity stunt. Remember when she pretended she was going to get her skin bleached and all her light-skinned friends, aka Mimi and Rasheeda n’em freaked out? But then Spice was all, gotcha! Anyway, she proved her point. She got the conversation going about the colorism that dark-skinned people face, and her song, “Black Hypocrisy,” and the mixtape it was on did well. Even better, Mimi said she finally got where Spice was coming from when she said Mimi had light skin privilege.   And that’s that. After successfully hosting over 300 people of color last summer, #BlackGirlBeachDay is BACK. The event was born from the brilliant minds of Christina Bright and Snap Lancaster . After the friends curated a small beach gathering two years ago Black Women from all over attended the next year, expanding their attendance nearly tenfold. Unfortunately, the ladies ran into some struggles including cops harassing them over ‘loud music’. Now they’re legitimizing the meetup. This year’s event will include security, lifeguards, a carpool and a plethora of activities. Even more impressive, they’re taking their talents to Atlantic City’s historically Black Chicken Bone Beach . As two women who were born and raised in Jersey why didn’t we know that such a rich history was right on the #JerseyShore ?!?? . A QUICK HISTORY LESSON: In the mid 20th century, there was a rising black middle class that wanted to participate in all the recreational activities the city offered. Chicken Bone Beach was a rare haven for families seeking some oceanside relief from the heat and quickly became a HOT SPOT! . . . When Chicken Bone Beach was segregated , many of the nearby restaurants refused to serve black customers. As such, families would have to pack their own picnic lunches. Their leftovers would litter the beach, scattered by animals and the elements. The name Chicken Bone Beach arose from the large amounts of leftover bones found in the sand. With the passage of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, all Atlantic City beaches were open to everyone and this all-black beach disappeared. By the 1970s Casinos further changed the culture of the beach by making Atlantic City into a world class resort which in turn limited access to all working class families. To protect this endangered African American heritage site, the Atlantic City Council passed an ordinance in 1997, declaring Chicken Bone Beach (also known as the Missouri Avenue Beach) into an historical landmark. . . It would be a massive understatement to say that the Duggars are not your typical American family. The reason reality TV came calling, and the reason that the family has been a fixture on TLC for over a decade is that the Duggars are different enough to be interesting, while still remaining relatable to families who share their ultra-conservative worldview. Some watch the Duggars to marvel at the strangeness of their way of life, while others view them as something to emulate — an evangelical family making millions by strictly adhering to their own values. Of course, in order to hold onto the latter group — the one that’s less likely to criticize their more controversial views — the Duggars have been forced to engage in a fair amount of misdirection. We all know that reality TV is not strictly based on reality. Every series takes some liberties, and in the age of social media, it’s easier than ever for audiences to spot the exaggerations, the manipulated timelines, and the outright lies. Perhaps because of the family’s controversial and often bigoted political beliefs, the Duggars have become a common target for online sleuths and truth-seekers. A recent post on a Duggar-themed Facebook page  called attention to one very specific way that fans have been misled — namely, it appears that Jim Bob and Michelle’s daughters are not as close as they would like us to believe: The post reads as follows: “I know the fans think the Duggar girls are close as sisters but do they notice the competition between each other on social media?” “If Jinger posts pictures of Felicity , Jessa will counter-post pictures of her kids. “Then, not long after that Jill will post pics of her boys and some vomit-inducing recipe. “Even Joy will post to get her few minutes. “Why do you think they’re so desperate for attention? I say it’s because they didn’t get enough as children.” That theory has caught fire in recent weeks, and not only because each of Jim Bob and Michelle’s children had to compete with 18 siblings for attention. For years, fans have suspected that the Duggar daughters are more actively involved than Michelle in the raising of their siblings. As proof, they point to incidents that were documented on the family’s reality shows, such as when Jason Duggar got lost in Newark airport. When the boy was eventually found, he ran not to his mother, but to then-19-year-old Jana Duggar. The Duggars employ a buddy system, in which each child is assigned a younger sibling to care for. It’s rarely acknowledged, however — as OK ! magazine points out — the adult children of Jim Bob and Michelle have begun to refer to one another as “buddy” on social media, seemingly as a reference to the system that deprived them of their childhoods. So the theory goes that the Duggar kids (the daughters in particular) were forced to grow up too soon and lived in constant competition for their parents’ attention. Since women aren’t allowed to work, and the Duggar believe procreation is their primary reason for being, it makes sense that as adults, the women of the family would compete for attention by having lots of kids and posting lots of pics of said kids. Lee Rosbach, Below Deck Captain, Reveals Death of Son

Tragic news out of the world of reality television: Lee Rosbach, a caption on the popular series Below Deck, revealed on Monday that his son, Joshua, died on July 22 from an accidental drug overdose.  He was 42 years old. There was a funeral held a couple days ago for Joshua, who battled addiction for two decades, according to his famous father. “This past Saturday, my beloved wife Mary Anne and I laid our youngest son, Joshua Lee Rosbach to rest,” Lee wrote on Instagram this afternoon as a caption to the above photo of Joshua. “After a twenty year struggle, he finally succumbed to the demons he fought so long and so hard. “Addiction is an insidious disease that knows no social status or geographic boundaries.” Continued the Below Deck star: “Whether you live in a 10,000 sq. ft. mansion or a double wide trailer, the path of death, destruction and devastation it leaves remains the same. “We loved Josh unconditionally and were proud of the man he had become in spite of his problems. There was no one i ever knew who gave more of himself to those in his life. “He loved with all his being without expecting anything in return. We both feel a hole in our souls that will never be filled.” According to a tribute posted on Dignity Memorial, the 42-year-old died on July 22 “in the comfort of his home.” Not much else is known about what transpired, but this same post continued as follows: “At the time of his passing he was in the hearts and minds of those he loved the most. “A gentle and kind soul, Josh was loved by everyone he came into contact with and never met a stranger. His smile, and although quiet personality were traits that people admired. “But the simple things in life were exciting too, especially when he worked hard to buy his first home where he enjoyed spending quality time with his ‘Fur ever buddy and protector’ Champ. “Josh followed his father’s love for the ocean, whether it was sail boating or First Mate aboard a Yacht. “As a son, he was everything to his father and mother. He was a good brother and he loved the precious times they spent together.” Lee Rosbach was born in Saginaw, Michigan and has been in the yachting industry for 20 years. He released a memoir last winter and currently stars on the Bravo program Below Deck. Lee concluded the tribute to his son as follows: So my message to those of you who are fighting this disease, find a way to get help no matter what. For those of you who have a friend, family member, son, or daughter who’s struggling, do what ever it takes to get them the help they need. Be kind and loving, and try to enjoy every second you have with them. Do not pray for our son, but please take care of your children and friends who may need it, as it isn’t too late for them. As you can see above, Below Deck chief stew Kate Chastain shared her condolences to Captain Lee and his family on Twitter on Monday. “Beautifully written statement by Captain Lee at what is certainly a devastating time,” she said, adding: “I’ve had the pleasure of spending time with Captain Lee [and] his wife Mary Anne in their home and the love they have for their family has always been a privilege to witness.” Josh is survived by his parents, his sister and brother, nieces and nephews and numerous aunts and uncles.
