Source: Pacific Press / Getty Doc Gooden Arrested For DUI In New Jersey Doc Gooden has a long history of struggles with drugs and alcohol and despite years of battling, he just doesn’t seem to be able to get a hold on his demons. According to NYPost , Gooden was arrested for DUI on Monday in New Jersey when officers caught him driving the wrong direction down a 1-way street. “He pissed himself. He was clearly buzzed, really kind of f–ked up,” said an Essex County law enforcement source. Still, Gooden, who lives in Piscataway, “was cooperative and polite,” the source said. A few weeks ago Doc was popped for possession of cocaine. We hope he can get it together before something really bad happens.
In two weeks, Bachelor in Paradise will take nine men and 11 women to Mexico, as those involved search for romance, love, sex and a whole lot of alcohol. But while fans of thise franchise were likely already excited for the sixth season this summer, ABC has now gone ahead and given them a fresh reason to look forwrd to the chaos to come: One of these upcoming episodes will feature the first same-sex kiss in show history. And, by the looks of what transpires in this extended trailer, it won't just be any same-sex kiss, either. Which is to say: it won't be some drunken dare or one-off. There will be real feelings behind the girl-on-girl spit swap. Ahead of this preview's release, Demi Burnett jumped on Twitter and wrote the following: “Spoiler alert: I’m a queer queen.” She then backed up this declaration via her actions and her words on Season 6, making out with a mystery woman on a bed at one point and then saying on air: “I don't care who sees this. I know that I love this girl. I'm just so happy that I found her, and I can definitely picture being with her for the rest of my life.” It's worth noting, however, that this same trailer shows Burnett and contestant Derek Peth in the hot tub together, indicating that we may have a love triangle on our hands this season. Elsewhere, the lengthy promo promises “heartbreaking drama,” “more crying than ever before,” which would really be saying something, an actual fight that breaks out between the men on the beach … and multiple proposals at season's end. There's a lot going on here, folks. Like, a whole lot. You would think that a famous married athlete caught cheating would bend over backwards to confess to everything so that he can move forward. But Jim Edmonds swears that he never touched his alleged mistress, claiming that their affair was limited to sexting. Meghan King Edmonds is explaining why she believes this claim. Among other things … she says that the woman was just too darn ugly. Wow . “We’re still married, we’re still together, we’re not separated,” Meghan King Edmonds makes extremely clear to The Daily Mail this week. “I know my engagement ring is well known!” she acknowledges. “I’m still wearing it. I’ve never stopped wearing it.” “We’re in the family home,” Meghan details. “We’re in the same bed.” “We’re not having therapy,” she notes. “We’re talking.” Some would suggest a little of both but hey, whatever works. When Hannah Brown first laid eyes on Luke Parker during Monday night’s Bachelorette rose ceremony, her baffled response no doubt reflected the feelings of millions of confused viewers. “Why are you here?” Hannah asked, as she cringed and pulled away from Parker. Luke stammered out an explanation about “closure and clarity” while Brown strongly encouraged him to leave in a tone that vacillated between pleading and demanding. It was a scene familiar to any woman who’s been subjected to the unwanted advances of a strange man — as well as to any woman who’s been stuck in an abusive relationship with a partner who just won’t leave. If Hannah’s words didn’t send the message powerfully enough, then her body language certainly did. And her most important unspoken question was likely directed as much to the show’s producers as it was to Luke — namely, why is this being allowed to happen? After all, Luke had already been kicked off the show at that point. In fact, it was the second time that Parker was dismissed by Hannah and permitted to return. This is not typical — and these are not the rules of the game. Clearly, the show’s producers made the decision to allow Luke back on set, which indicates that they were more concerned with ratings than with Hannah’s safety and emotional well-being. (We’re sure there was security personnel on set, but abuse can take many forms, and we’re not just talking about Hannah’s physical safety.) Three suitors stood by as Luke confronted Hannah, and they’ve taken some flak online for waiting so long to intervene, but in all likelihood, they were restrained by orders from the same producers who allowed Luke back on set. Many viewers were made uncomfortable by the scene, and they made their opinions abundantly clear on social media: “Watching Luke P. has triggered my daughter’s PTSD,” one viewer wrote on Facebook. “His mind games and control issues are exactly the same as her ex-fiance who eventually abused her and put her in the hospital before she could get away from him. “We’ve been talking about him all season and how we hoped Hannah would see through him before she got hurt.” No doubt Luke’s behavior stirred up similar memories and emotions for many, many viewers. He apologized for some of his actions during last night’s Men Tell All interview, but in typical abuser fashion, he also justified many of his lies, manipulations, and acts of intimidation. And now, the question on the minds of many viewers is — to what extent are the show’s producers responsible for allowing all of this to go on for so long? It’s worth noting that a controversy of this nature could not come at a worse time for the series. Just last week, Bachelor franchise creator Mike Fleiss was accused of assaulting his pregnant wife . This comes on the heels of a previous controversy in which Fleiss feuded with Kelly Ripa and made what many believe to be misogynistic comments toward the daytime host. Police in Kuai, Hawaii and an independent ABC legal team are investigating the allegations made by Fleiss’ wife. Depending on the evidence they discover, Fleiss could be imprisoned, or simply fired from the show that made him famous. Of course, it’s also possible that he’ll remain a free man at the helm of one of the longest-running reality show’s on TV. Whatever the case, Bachelor Nation may soon find itself with a major image problem — and the powers that be would do well to address these issues sooner rather than later. We’ve been following the sad saga of Hayden Panettiere for several months now, and unfortunately, the situation seems to get more frightening by the day. The Heroes and Nashville actress is in a relationship with a man named Brian Hickerson, and family and friends have begun to fear for her safety — and for good reason. Hickerson was arrested for domestic violence back in May following an incident that was initially shrouded in secrecy. Police later revealed that Panettiere was Hickerson’s alleged victim , and the altercation took place at the home the couple shares. Hickerson has pled not guilty and is currently free on bond. Obviously, that incident terrifying enough on its own. But it’s not the only indication that Brian is at best a bad influence on Hayden and at worst a real threat to her safety. Hickerson is also facing charges for assaulting his father, and police reports indicate that Hayden was on hand and witnessed the incident. Hickerson is allegedly a very heavy drinker, and insiders say this habit has rubbed off on Hayden in a big way. Back in February — shortly after her relationship with Hickerson began — a drunken Panettiere was photographed vomiting on a public sidewalk. Needless to say, the situation has left many concerned, not the least of whom is Wladimir Klitschko then Ukranian boxer who is father to Hayden’s 4-year-old daughter. “Wladimir hit the roof when this stuff came to light,” a source tells the outlet. “They may be miles apart and co-parenting a child together, but he won’t stand for anyone hurting the mother of his child.” Hickerson might be tempted to take comfort in the fact that Klitschko lives several thousand miles away, but that distance may not serve as a protective barrier for much longer. The insider tells Radar that Klitschko plans to pay a visit to the US “very soon,” and his primary reason for doing so is checking in on the mother of his child. Frankly, the 6’6″ heavyweight can’t make the trip soon enough. Recent court filings claim that Hickerson beat Panettiere two times in the span of three days . But despite the fact that Panettiere has an order of protection against Hickerson , she remains in a relationship with him. Her family has spoken out and urged her to break things off — but at this point, a visit from Klitschko to Hickerson might be the most powerful tool of persuasion available. American Horror Story is returning to FX for its ninth season. HOORAY, right? We know it will be set in 1984, but beyond that, not so much. Earlier material has suggested that it will be a homage to classic horror movies from, you guessed it, the 1980s. The father of a 14-month old son named James has made this pretty clear by filing first for an order of protection against his estranged girlfriend… and then for primary custody of their shared toddler.
