Yesterday it struck Jada Pinkett Smith that there is a disparity in Sweden’s treatment of a white rapper like G-Eazy and a Black rapper like Rocky who were both charged with assault… Hold it … G-Eazy got to strike a deal a day and half after possession of drugs and assault charges??? But you’re holding Rocky. We got the message loud and clear Sweden. SMDH: Nike Apologizes To Black Family Accused Of Stealing $12 Basketball At Santa Monica Store

Black folks still can’t just walk around a clothing store without being followed or accused of stealing. Santa Monica couple Joel Stallworth and TaMiya Dickerson experienced just that on Friday after a Nike store manager told police that they stole a $12 Nike swoosh mini basketball, which they in fact purchased. According to reports , Stallworth and Dickerson were leaving the Los Angeles store when the manager, a White woman, followed them outside and accused them of stealing. They reassured her that the ball was purchased, but in true White lady fashion, the manager flagged down the police. Once the police made their way over, the couple pulled out their recent to prove that they bought the basketball. The manager, and officers, were shook when they realized the Dickerson and Stallworth were telling the truth. NIKE issued a statement to the family after the incident, saying: “We are taking the recent situation at our Santa Monica store very seriously, and we are currently investigating the facts. We will continue to work with our teams to ensure we deliver on our expectations for consumer experiences.” However, the couple is still quite pissed about the incident. Stallworth told KTLA : “She had zero evidence that I stole anything. She couldn’t have evidence because I bought it. She discriminated against me. She planted an evil seed in the officer, so as soon as the officer came up to me, he said, ‘Sir, give me the stolen ball.’” Once the incident was resolved, the couple returned the basketball to the store and got a full refund. Sucks it had to come to that in 2019 smh.

So that had nothing to do with it. We were shooting a reality show… we were shooting ‘Growing Up Hip Hop.’ And the producers of ‘Growing Up Hip Hop’ did a bad thing. That is now… I don’t wanna be on ‘Growing Up Hip Hop’ no longer.” He continued, insinuating that he would no longer be friends with some of the folks he respected on the show for stirring the pot. “I started off the series of ‘Growing Up Hip Hop… I have great friends… had great friends in  Datari Turner, Tara Long,  even one of the producers  Jennifer Gardner, Kim Osorio…  they used to be my good friends. Source: Nick Laham / Getty Kevin Garnett Odered To Pay $100,000 A Month In Spousal & Child Support According to The Blast , Kevin Garnett’s ex-wife is about to be paid like an NBA superstar. The former NBA baller was ordered to pay his ex-wife Brandi Garnett $100,000 a month to cover both child and spousal support. The order is only in effect until they work out a permanent deal. Brandi was reportedly seeking 46,000 a month in child support, estimating that she will have the kids 95% of the time. She was also asking for another $146,000 in spousal support and then another $300,000 to cover her legal fees. However, in the new ruling, Brandi got the $300,000 she was asking for and an additional $225,000. Brandi filed for divorce earlier this year. She is seeking physical custody of the former couple’s two kids.

Source: Hirurg / Getty Police Officer Admits to Using Grieving Family’s Cable Account to Purchase Porn According to CNN , a London police officer serving with London’s Metropolitan Police Service admitted to buying porn at the home of a grieving family. The family, who had been coping with the death of their child , was waiting on the undertaker to arrive when Avi Maharaj bought access to porn channels. Maharaj admitted to purchasing the movies, spending £25.96 (roughly $32). He was investigated after the grieving family filed a complaint with the Metropolitan Police Service. He was the only person at the property at the time of the purchases, and to cover his actions he falsified his attendance log. “PC Maharaj’s behaviour was shocking and even more so given he was guarding the property in the absence of the homeowner…Not only were his actions deceitful but he caused considerable distress for the family involved who were dealing with the sudden death of a family member,” s aid the Independent Police Complaints Commission’s regional director Sal Naseem in a statement.  Haharaj will be sentenced for fraud in August and will also face charges of gross misconduct.

He is being accused of taking out insurance policies to cover his family and then driving his car off a Los Angeles-area pier four years ago, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office reported. 44-year-old Ali Elmezayen was charged with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder with the special circumstance allegations of multiple murders carried out for his financial gain. Prosecutors involved in the case said that he purchased $6 million in life insurance policies to cover his family in the event of an accidental death. Elmezayen is currently under federal custody and will first be tried on the insurance fraud charges, then the murder charges. He was in the car with his wife and two sons back in April of 2015 when he drove it off the berth and plunged them all into the water, according to prosecutors. Ali’s car window was open, and he swam to the surface within 30 seconds before making his way to a ladder on the pier. His wife, Rabab Diab, couldn’t swim, but authorities said that she was rescued by a fisherman after surfacing and screaming, “My kids, my kids.” “The poor lady was screaming hysterically,” recalled fisherman Ray Prince. “I thought she was going to drown.” Their two boys, 8-year-old Abdelkarim and 13-year-old Elhassan, couldn’t swim and were also strapped into child seats. Their lifeless bodies ended up being pulled from the car later by rescue divers. Following this incident, Elmezayen collected more than $260,000 in insurance payouts for the deaths and then wired over $170,000 back to his native Egypt, prosecutors in the fraud case explained. Initially, the district attorney declined to bring charges in his sons’ deaths because of insufficient evidence. A police mechanic found that the brake pedal in the vehicle didn’t properly work, but couldn’t tell if that was the case before the tragedy or because of the salt water corrosion. These new charges are a result of a further investigation. If convicted   of murder, Ali Elmezayen faces a possible maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole or the death penalty.
