As it enters its eighth season, Vanderpump Rules is beginning to reach the point where most reality shows begin to show signs of age. Producers have tried to combat this phenomenon by experimenting with new cast members, but thus far, the new additions haven’t fared well — and now, it seems another one has officially bitten the dust. According to a new report from Radar Online, SUR hostess Billie Lee has decided to leave her station after just two seasons on VPR. An insider tells Radar that Billie “quit filming for the upcoming season 8″ this week. Since the show is currently filming, we can assume this was an abrupt decision. And the insider’s comments seem to confirm that Lee quit as a result of hostility on set. “Billie Lee has had a really hard time with the disrespect and negative thoughts overall from the show and from certain co-stars,” the source explains. “She is sick of the bullies and the backlash that she’s gotten on social media.” The insider adds that Lee hopes this will be the beginning of a new stage in her career, adding: “She is ready to do her own thing now, and is trying to pitch her own show. She doesn’t need any of that drama anymore.” Billie represented an attempt to bring a little diversity to the mayo-white series as the show’s first transgender cast member. But she clashed with co-stars from the very start, most notably Katie Maloney and Lala Kent. While the Vanderpump cast may not have conducted themselves with the utmost decorum in their dealings with Billie Lee, they’re pretty much a-holes to everyone, including each other, and they have a pretty good track record with regard to the LGBTQ community (albeit not in terms of representation). All of this is to say it seems like a leap to chalk the tension with Billie up to transphobia, which is what many viewers are currently doing on social media. It’s worth noting that the reason Billie fit with the cast so well at the beginning is that she has quite a lengthy track record of unstable behavior herself. Highlights include lashing out at Stassi Schroeder when Schroeder went public with allegations of sexual misconduct against Jeremy Madix and accusing her co-workers of bigotry for failing to personally invite her to a party. “When yo (sic) co-workers don’t include the only trans girl in GIRLS night at your own job! On the night you work! #rudeAF #TransIsBeautiful,” But if it’s the night you work … why would they need to invite you to a party at your place of employment? Anyway, Billie Lee joins Vail Bloom , Whoever Scheana Is F–king This Season, and James Kennedy on the list of failed new additions to the Vanderpump cast. We know James is still on the show, but we’re pretty sure he’s the only one who considers that a good thing. Jokes aside, we wish Billie Lee all the best in her future endeavors — although it sounds like she’s always got a job waiting for her at SUR should she change her mind. “Lisa has encouraged Billie to stay and to keep growing. These shows were great at one point. But nowadays they're just circling the drain, preventing the inevitable. They should be put out of their misery before they are remembered as some of the worst shows around. SORRY NOT SORRY. 1. Grey’s Anatomy The series is entering a record-breaking 16th season at ABC, and despite a few good episodes, the series is starting to circle the drain. Ratings are starting to reflect the quality of the show, and it’s not in a good place creatively. It would be wise to bring the show to a close and allow the cast to move on to new projects. 2. Riverdale Riverdale started off well, with a coherent murder mystery. By the time Season 3 arrived, there were floating babies, teenagers running nightclubs, and underground boxing fights. It’s turned into a laughing stock and needs to end. 3. Arrow Arrow should not even be getting a short final season to wrap the story up. The writing has been abysmal on the show for around four years, and the ratings are dropping like a rock. The show could be wrapped up in a throwaway scene on one of the spinoffs. 4. Fear the Walking Dead As if killing off most of the original cast was not bad enough, the fifth season put the characters in a radiation-filled wasteland, and they made some more bad decisions. The scenes drag on for dear life as a result of the pitiful dialog. It’s time to go go. 5. Suits Suits has been circling the drain for years, to the point that nobody would care if USA Network decided to ditch the final season entirely. Nothing worth noting has happened since Meghan Markle and Patrick J. Adams ditched it. 6. How to Get Away with Murder This convoluted series which follows essentially the same format every single season should have been a one-season thing. Clearly, no one should be taking drug smuggling tips from this guy. SMH.

Kelly was just denied bond in his Illinois child porn and sex abuse case, and things aren’t looking much better in his simultaneous federal racketeering case. The U.S. Attorney’s Office has asked a judge to deny the disgraced singer bail indefinitely to ensure that he shows up for his trial in Brooklyn, according to court papers obtained by BOSSIP. In a letter to the judge, Richard P. Donoghue, the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, said that Kelly was a major flight risk who was too dangerous to be in public. Donoghue was especially concerned that if he made bail, he’d try to intimidate witnesses in the case. Source: E. JASON WAMBSGANS / Getty He pointed to Kelly’s 2008 state child abuse case and said the “Pied Piper” bribed his alleged victim’s family with $2 million in exchange for her not testifying against him. The prosecutor said Kelly also forced alleged victims to sign documents with false, yet damaging information and threatened to expose the info if they went public. The feds allege that for more than 20 years, Kelly was the head of a criminal enterprise that funneled young girls from around the country to him to be sexually assaulted. Besides racketeering, Kelly was indicted on charges of violating the Mann Act, kidnapping and forced labor. Kelly is expected to be arraigned on those charges in September.

Now, the annual festival is making its way across the country for the first time ever and introducing the Windy City (and the nation) to ComplexCon Chicago in what appears to be the network’s biggest event yet. Executive Producer Isis Arias Clermont promises that the inaugural ComplexCon Chicago will be unlike any other. “It’s different than traditional festivals that are more focused on music and art,” Clermont explained. “It’s really bringing the ‘URL to IRL’. The experience includes retail and shopping opportunities with cool brands, music performances (which are the energetic part of the show) and Complex Current which is a format of our panels and fireside chats with talent that speak to different topics that our audience is interested in.” One of the ways Chicago will differ from Long Beach is through the introduction of the first ever ComplexCon Community Week which is a weeklong series of community driven events meant to provide resources to cities (like Chicago) that birthed Complex Culture. Led by Complex’s Director of Community Outreach, Nicole Russell , ComplexCon Community Week will kick off on Monday, July 15th and conclude on Friday, July 19 th , right before ComplexCon officially begins. “It was really important to use this platform to inspire the people watching us to do more for the community – not just in the spaces where ComplexCon will be hosted but in their own,” Russell said. “We’re really trying to make sure we’re bringing awareness to different organizations but also showing everyone that’s tuning in how they can get involved and stand up for the causes that matter to them.” ComplexCon Community Week will consist of a variety of events such as a Soup Kitchen Takeover in partnership with Jaden Smith, a STREETWEAR.EDU panel discussion hosted by Trinidad James and a small Chicago-style block party for A Night Out Against Gun Violence, an event that Russell believes will help shine a light on some of the initiatives that the Chicago based Save Money, Save Life Foundation already supports. “It’s really just about bringing awareness to the people that are here [in Chicago] and showing them how they can show up and support one another,” Russell explained. “I think when you’re looking at the news and you’re seeing all of these things happening, all these challenges in your own community, everyone wants to know how they can help and what can they do. Not everyone has those tools to just fix, or not everyone knows what to do to inspire the change. We wanted to use this platform at Community Week to provide that information.” As Community Week kicks off and ComplexCon Chicago grows closer, Clermont and Russell appear to be tackling everything with ease. These ladies are leading the charge on one of the biggest events for our culture in a male dominated industry– and are killing it. “I think this has been an incredible opportunity,” Clermont said. “Everything comes with its own challenges and I think for us to be in the positions that we’re in, have the ability to have a voice in the room and really help lead these things has been great.” In spite of the challenges that come with pulling off any successful event, the ladies both agree that working with such an amazing female-led ComplexCon team has been quite rewarding and inspiring. “It’s really cool to be on such a dynamic team of fearless women,” Russell said. “There’s a lot of pressure, especially in a new role where were creative something for the very first time, but there’s support here. And its support coming from other women, which is great. So, it makes my job easier.” With three successful ComplexCons already in the books, introducing the annual culture staple to the city of Chicago is right on time, as Clermont believes that Chicago’s culture is exactly what embodies the Complex brand. “We definitely feel that Chicago is a city that’s culturally important to us. They have a strong audience that is interested in the things that we’re putting together such as hip-hop, streetwear and sneaker culture.” Clermont also assured us that Chi-Town is definitely in for a treat this weekend as the ComplexCon Chicago team has a ton of surprises up their sleeves for the first ever event. “We’ve got a lot of surprises on the ground,” Clermont said. “It’s one of those things that you just have to be there for.
