They say that love happens when you least expect it, and that was definitely the case for Jessica Share who recently met her daughter’s biological father and ended up falling in love with him. Share and Aaron Long have been dating for a little over a year now, but their genetics were introduced nearly 13 years ago when Jessica chose him as her sperm donor back in 2005. GMA reports, Long was a sperm donor in the mid-90s, and in 2005, Share selected his sperm to have her daughter with her female partner in Ohio, saying she was initially attracted to his sperm donor profile. Share and her wife split up a couple of years ago, and at around the same time she says her daughter started poking around on the DNA testing site 23 and Me. There, Alice connected with her biological father, who soon began talking to her mother. After Share and Long met, the rest was communal home history. Jessica, Aaron and their daughter Alice all live together in Seattle along with Jessica’s other children. No word on how many of the kids Aaron may be the papi of.

Source: RADOSLAW KOLESNIK / Getty Five Teenagers Were Killed In An Escape Room After A Fire Erupted Five teenage girls were killed–and one man was injured–in a fire that broke out in an “escape room” venue in northern Poland, according to authorities on Saturday. The 15-year-old girls were said to be celebrating one of their birthdays in the town of Koszalin when the fire encircled the venue at around 5 PM. Local firefighters revealed that the incident was likely the result of faulty electrical wiring in addition to a lack of proper security. Poland’s firefighting chief, Leszek Suski, explained that the wiring was in dangerously close proximity to flammable materials saying, “Security was not ensured and that led to the tragedy.” Interior Minister Joachim Brudzinski has reportedly issued fire safety tests at other similar venues following this tragic incident. The president also shared his condolences on Saturday, calling the incident a “crushing tragedy.” The girls’ bodies were reportedly found once local firefighters had extinguished the blaze. In addition to the death of these girls, an injured 25-year-old man was taken to the hospital for severe burns following the incident. If you aren’t already familiar with escape rooms, this probably isn’t the best time to tell you to go. Escape rooms have become increasingly popular around the world after first originating in Japan. The experience is an in-person simulated adventure where players are made to feel endangered, as if they’re trapped. Participants are typically locked inside a room and asked to complete puzzles and different intricate tasks under pressures to exit. There are said to be over 1,000 similar venues across Poland.

The Hawaii native debuted on this week’s list for his contribution to the new gospel-inspired arrangement of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton hit “One Last Time (44 Remix),” according to Billboard . Obama’s contribution to the song (unfortunately) doesn’t include any singing, but he delivers his rendition of George Washington’s farewell address on the track–which also features original Hamilton cast member Christopher Jackson and gospel star BeBe Winans. The song is a variation on the original song from Hamilton and debuted at No. 22, one slot above the John Legend’s holiday hit, “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.” Lin-Manuel Miranda released the track on December 20 as his last “Hamildrop” of the 2018, and of course, its title is an obvious nod to Obama being the 44th U.S. president. President Obama’s history with Miranda dates back to 2009, when the he held “An Evening of Poetry, Music & Spoken Word” at the White House. Miranda rapped a song from what he was calling his “Hamilton Mixtape,” and the performance garnered tens of thousands of views online. That event is what helped inspire the full-blown 2016 musical that went on to win the New Yorker’s musical 11 Tony awards, as well as the 2016 Grammy for best musical theater album and the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for drama. The entire cast visited the White House in 2016 and Miranda once again returned in 2017 to perform “One Last Time” as a tribute to Obama at the end of his second term.

According to WTLX 29-year-old mother of 2, Leisa Bonique Johnson, was killed in front of her 3-year-old and 5-year-old daughters while attempting to push her broken down SUV out of the road at 1 a.m. on Monday. When the truck stopping running in the middle of a Spartanburg, South Carolina road, Johnson attempted to push the car to the shoulder and in the process became pinned under the vehicle with the girls sitting inside. The panicked children used her cell phone to call police, but clearly there was nothing they could do to help their mother. Johnson’s aunt and uncle say the car ran out of gas as she was driving to the emergency room, potentially to deal with blood pressure and blood sugar issues. The girls reportedly got out of the car three times and witnessed their mother’s death says Leisa’s aunt Sheila Rookard: “They managed to get out the car three times to see their mama up under their car,” said Rookard. “It’s going to be a struggle, you know, from the beginning, especially with them kids seeing that with (their) mom and stuff,” Rookard said. “Y’all just pray for us.” Here’s where things get a bit shady, in a story on WSPA, one of the daughters reportedly told a family member that a police officer pulled up and told Leisa to get the car out the road. Then left. A woman. With 2 small daughters. To move a car. Alone. At 1 a.m. Reporters are working to confirm the validity of that claim. If true, could spell BIG trouble for said officer and the police department. Rest in peace, Leisa Johson. Those poor girls…

Crazy how that works. A Sun-Sentinel article details how Boca Raton cop Jeremy Codling was fired earlier this year after it was revealed that he used the n-word and frequently told racist and offensive jokes in the presence of Black officers. Initially, only disciplinary action was taken in the form of demotion, pay reduction, and a written letter of apology. Nine days after his demotion, it was discovered that Codling lied about his behavior under oath in addition to storing several pornographic images and websites on his department-issued computer. After being fired on March 5, somehow this d-bag with a badge has been granted a second chance to be an officer of the law. Codling has been given a “last chance,” she said, because significant disciplinary action was taken, he had no previous complaints of racism and if he messes up, he’ll be out of a job, again. “The final part of the discipline is a legal document in which the officer and city agree that that if the officer exhibits any similar behavior in the future, he will be terminated,” Gibson said. Translation: He used to be such a good boy prior to his racism that we just HAD to give him another chance. Peep this sorry a$$ excuse for an apology letter: “I want you to know that I am sorry for offending you with anything I may have said or done; It was never my intent to upset you,” Codling wrote. “Hopefully we can both move forward and have a good working relationship at the Boca Raton Police Department.” That’s how you apologize to a Black man for saying the n-word huh? Source: 5m3photos / Getty Racist Chinese Student Arrested For Poisoning Black Roommate Black folks have it hard enough living in a world where sometimes the only place that feels safe is home, in this case, the enemy was sleeping in the same room. According to NBC New York , a 22-year-old Chinese national student, Yukai Yang, at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania has been arrested and charged the attempted murder of his unidentified Black roommate. Yang was previously accused of drawing racist graffiti on the roommate’s belongings. While police were investigating the crime, they noticed that the roommate had been sick for quite some time and called emergency assistance for uncontrollable vomiting. The victim told police that he had been drinkign from a bottle and his tongue began to burn. A blood test revealed that there were high levels of thallium in the victim’s blood. Thallium is a poison designed to kill rats and other rodents. Yang admitted to buying the thallium and says he was going to use it on himself if his grade began to slip. Says D.A. John Morganelli: “This was over a period of time with … thallium being added to foods and drinks in the refrigerator,” Morganelli said. “He was getting worse all the time.” Word from the CDC is that thallium causes nausea, painful limbs, rapid heart rate, high blood pressure, kidney damage and nerve damage. Yang is sitting in the can until his trial begins.

A police department in rural Alabama is under fire for a Facebook post that intertwines religion and government says an opposition group. According to AL , the Freedom From Religion Foundation charges that the Opp Police Department (what a PERFECT name for a group of cops, the opps) is violating the law by using their platform to endorse a religious belief. Two firearm-related murders in two days prompted the department to take their frustration to Facebook: THIS PAST SUNDAY, A YOUNG MAN WAS SHOT AND KILLED IN KINSTON. MONDAY NIGHT, A MOTHER WAS SHOT AND KILLED IN NORTHERN COVINGTON COUNTY. THERE HAVE BEEN FIVE MURDERS IN COVINGTON COUNTY IN 2018. THESE MURDERS HAVE BEEN DONE BY OUR YOUNG PEOPLE. THIS IS HAPPENING BECAUSE WE HAVE TURNED AWAY FROM GOD AND EMBRACED SATAN. WE MAY HAVE NOT MEANT TO DO SO BUT, WE HAVE. IT IS TIME TO ASK FOR GOD’S HELP TO STOP THIS. IT IS TIME TO BE PARENTS AND RAISE OUR CHILDREN, NOT HAVE THEM RAISE US. IT IS TIME TO FULLY SUPPORT LAW ENFORCEMENT AND STAND BY THE OFFICERS AND DEPUTIES THAT ARE FAR TOO OFTEN HAVING TO WALK INTO THESE DANGEROUS SITUATIONS AND CLEAN UP THE MESS.
