Jerrod Carmichael Is Producing A Biopic About Legendary Harlem Fashion Designer Dapper Dan

Theo Wargo/Getty Images for Roc Nation Dapper Dan Is Finally Getting His Own Biopic Daniel “Dapper Dan” Day , has been hip hop’s reigning courtier for the past couple of decades, and the legendary designer has dressed some of music’s most famous faces since he opened his first boutique on 125th street in Harlem in 1982. Dan has had many problems in the past with high-end brands imitating his work, and though many others get upset over the copying, Mr. Day is much more nonchalant about seeing, “echoes” of his work–especially now that he’s actually working with Gucci. The internet and social media has played a huge role in the push to make sure Dapper Dan receives proper recognition as one of America’s most legendary designers. That push has not only resulted in his recent Gucci partnership, but furthermore in an upcoming memoir and biopic. Writer and comedian Jerrod Carmichael is working on a Sony-produced project that will bring Dapper Dan’s incredible story to the big screen. Described as a “ high-stakes coming-of-age story,” the film is said to be based on Dan’s forthcoming book. And according to the Dapper king himself, he’s ready to dish all about his life. He said in an Instagram post, “It’s time to tell all. From growing up with holes in my shoes and swimming in The Harlem River, to crossing The River Nile in Africa in search of my identity. I came from nothing, and God has blessed me with a partnership with Gucci, a book deal with Random House, and now a movie deal with Sony Pictures.   Harvard University campus in Boston Massachusetts USA Harvard Professor Leaves Amid 18 Sexual Harassment Allegations A  Harvard University Political Science professor by the name of Jorge I. Domínguez has left his job following 18 different women coming forward to claim they had been sexually harassed by him. In a report published by the  Chronicle of Higher Education ,   several colleagues of Domínguez came forward in order to tell stories of unwanted advances and other inappropriate behavior. The alleged incidents date decades back all the way to the ’80s. Terry Karl, a junior professor during her time at Harvard, explained that he would often touch her inappropriately. After filing a complaint against Domínguez, who was slated to be the next department chair, Harvard determined he was responsible for misconduct and as a result, he “was removed from administrative responsibilities for three years and told that any future misconduct could trigger his dismissal.” After Karl left the university, several other women–including both faculty and students–filed sexual harassment complaints against Dominguez to the university, many of which were dismissed or held up indefinitely. Other women who spoke to the  Chronicle  said they stayed silent on their experiences out of fear of retaliation, which included some leaving the university entirely. Karl insists that she did everything she could to sound the alarm while she was at Harvard and emphasizes, “the silence was not mine. It was Harvard’s.” Very soon after the  Chronicle  report was published approximately a week ago, Harvard put Domínguez on administrative leave pending review. But then, in an email to colleagues, the disgraced professor announced that he would be leaving Harvard once and for all. He wrote, “I am retiring from my job at Harvard at the end of this semester. It has been a privilege to serve the university.” Jorge I. Domínguez refused to comment directly on Karl’s claims, according to the  Chronicle .

It looks like Genesis is still a huge fan of Dutchess, one of his mother’s enemies, and he doesn’t care who knows. Genesis was singing Dutchess’ praises in her comments, for helping him him when he “got out.” We assume the young man is referring to being release from prison. Who cares if they believe the lies the only people who support that shit thinks that shit is right they probably have made similar decisions and seek validation, let the weak stay weak while they tune in to ignorance from week to week. If it’s not positive and brought in peace give it no life, never feed it, so that it never grows!!!!!! On another note, it looks like Sky’s son is now focusing on a musical career. Tomorrow, we get to see Sky’s oldest seed meet up with Ceaser and maybe he will clarify more of what he’s been through while his mom was away from him when the show airs… What are your thoughts on all of this?
