Merced County / Splash News Obdulia Sanchez Sentenced The 19-year-old who crashed her car while high and live streamed as her sister died as a result has been sentenced. The Washington Post reports that Obdulia Sanchez was sentenced to six years and four months in prison for crimes of gross vehicular manslaughter, driving while intoxicated and child endangerment. She had pleaded no contest to the charges last month. Sanchez tested positive for marijuana, cocaine, and alcohol after the crash. “I killed my sister, but I don’t care. I killed my sister. I know I’m going to prison, but I don’t care,” said Sanchez in the viral video showing her sister’s death. “I’m sorry baby. Imma hold it down.” Another teen was involved in the crash but survived.

Getty Images Teen Girl Accuses Three Fellow Students Of Rape, Possibly Contracted HIV A horrifying story is coming out of Miami, Florida where a teenager says she was raped multiple times and possibly contracted an incurable virus. Local 10 News reports that a 14-year-old girl at Miami Carol City Senior High School is accusing three boys of raping her on different occasions. The girl told authorities that in two of the incidents she made it clear she was uncomfortable and at one point was “pulled into a restroom” by her sweater. “I was so shocked and I was kind of traumatized, and I was scared in that moment that when I was in the restroom with him, I was never going to leave,” the girl said. The girl’s mother now says investigators told her that one of the boy’s relatives came forward and said he was HIV positive — a claim the boy’s family later took back. Local 10 News reports that the three students were suspended and the girl has since withdrawn from the school. Russell Simmons Escapes To Bali Yoga Retreat Amid Allegations After a short-lived attempt at a “countermovement” against women speaking out on rape and sexual deviancy they’ve experienced throughout their lives and careers…Russell Simmons has decided to ghost on the USA altogether. About 12 women have come out with detailed accounts of Russell Simmons being sexually inappropriate or outright raping them, with experiences ranging from the late 80’s until nowadays. Russell stepped down from his leading roles at all his businesses , and it seems has taken a long break from being at home in the United States altogether. Page Six has discovered that Russell has been hiding out and getting “re-centered” at a lavish Yoga retreat in Bali called The Yoga Barn. A source in the know reports that: “Russell is focusing on yoga and meditation, as well as his spiritual and emotional health. He has also been seen wearing robes and walking the streets and markets of Ubud, the yoga town in the jungle.” In addition, he’s working on a book. But it’s not about “his side” of the rape stories or addressing any of the allegations against him at all — just a guidebook of sorts on yoga and meditation . As for the Yoga Barn facility, they recently took a strong stance on their website in support of victims speaking their truths regarding experiences with sexual harassment and misconduct, and they have a strict zero-tolerance policy of such things going down at their facility. According to the Boston Globe , the police were called to Gronks crib upon reports that “multiple safes and guns” were stolen during a burglary. William D. Baker, Foxborough Police Chief, referred to the two losses as a “double whammy” lol: “I don’t know if you ever been the victim of a break-in, but when you are robbed and there is an intrustion into your personal space, it’s unpleasant whether you are Rob Gronkowski or Bill Baker,’’ the chief said. “For him it’s a double whammy coming off the loss.” No one was home at the time of the robbery and no one was hurt. Aw, poor Patriot.

According to NY Daily News reports Middle School 118 teacher Patricia Cummings is under fire for her unorthodox teaching methods. Students say about two weeks ago the teacher, who is white, had students in multiple seventh-grade classes lie on the floor as part of a lesson on the Middle Passage, where Africans were kidnapped and brought to America during the slave trade. “It was a lesson about slavery and the Triangle Trade,” said one of Cummings’ students, who asked to remain anonymous. “She picked three of the black kids,” the boy said, and instructed them to get on the floor in front of the class. “She said, ‘You see how it was to be a slave?’ She said, ‘How does it feel?’ ” When a girl on the floor made an uncomfortable joke and said she felt fine, Cummings stepped on her back, the student said. “She put her foot on her back and said ‘How does it feel?’” the student said. “ ‘See how it feels to be a slave?’ ” Cummings was removed from the classroom for several days after the incident, but returned to class and was in school Thursday. Cummings, who makes $68,934 a year, was reassigned away from children later in the day after the Daily News contacted the city Education Department about her controversial lesson. “While the investigation has not been completed, these are deeply disturbing allegations, and the alleged behavior has no place in our schools or in society,” said Education Department spokeswoman Toya Holness. MS 118 Principal Giulia Cox declined to comment. Cummings students say she delivered the lesson after showing a video of slaves being beaten, tortured and thrown over the side of a ship. “She had students lie on the floor,” said another kid who was in one of the lessons. “She was measuring the length and width to show how little space slaves had in the ship. Appalachian State/North Carolina A&T Athletics Appalachian State Tennis Player Suspended Indefinitely After Being Put On Blast for Racist Behavior Sunday night John Wilson, senior class president at the historically black college North Carolina A&T took to Twitter to reveal that he had been the victim of racism during his tennis match against Spencer Brown, of Appalachian State. Wilson tweeted: “Hey #NCAT This is Spencer brown, a tennis player at Appalachian state. During our match today, along with other racist comments, Spencer told me, “At least I know my dad.” Their coach responded by saying, “.. we have a black guy on our team.” Black twitter, do ya thang.” Wilson’s tweet included a photo of Brown.
