At least 160 Killed In Passenger Plane Crashes IN Southern India

Government Minister says that at least 160 people were killed when a state-run Air India Express aircraft, with 168 people on board, overshot a runway during landing and crashed near Mangalore airport in the southern Indian state of Karnataka early Saturday morning. According told to the media by V.S. Acharya, home minister of southern Indian state of Karnataka, “The crash happened while landing and the aircraft immediately caught fire. At least 160 passengers have died in the crash.” It was confirmed Anup Srivastava, Director of Air India that there were 160 passengers and six crew members on the plane. Indian authorities said that there are about 160 people were killed and six survived in the crash. The Russian pilot of the doomed Air India Boeing jet tried to abort landing when the plane overshot runway and crashed Saturday in Mangalore in southern India according to the Air India official. Official added that the probe team is being dispatched to Mangalore from Mumbai to seek more details of the crash. The passenger plane crash happened at around 06:30 a.m. when the Air India Express, a budget airliner of the state-run carrier, carrying 168 people, including six crew members, from Dubai of the United Arab Emirates, attempted to land at Mangalore airport but overshot the runway and broke into pieces, causing a huge fire. American Idol 2010: Top 2 Finalists

This week, the contenders played the songs of their choice and also songs which were picked by the judges. The previously known top 3 composed of Lee DeWyze, Crystal Bowersox and Casey James is now cut to top 2. The three faced the final elimination before the finale of season 9. Kara DioGuardi had a hunch that Crystal and Lee will face off in the finale, while Casey will be sent home. She was right! After the Wednesday’s results, Lee was the first singer declared by Ryan to be safe and without further delays; he also said that Crystal would be with him. At the end of the elimination night, it will be Crystal or Lee who are going to remain in the finals. Both contenders must give their best to be the next American Idol. Last Sunday at The Groove in Hollywood, after the Jonas Brothers treated thousands of their fans to a free outdoor concert, the trio planned to make a rush retreat. But unluckily, they found themselves trapped in an elevator for about 45 minutes. Joe Jonas says that they were stuck in an elevator together with eight people and Big Rob. It was a 21-person elevator. Among the trio, Jonas and Nick were the first to panic. To wrap it all, the entire experience was captured on film. They had their photographer Rob Hoffman with them and he had his video camera so he taped the whole thing. It ended wit the fire department coming through with axes. Every time a certain important event is happening, Google contributes to it by having a related Doodle. Today, everyone has been amazed to see the famous arcade game Pac Man. It is not just a simple Doodle but a first ever interactive one. The Doodle is a real Pac Man game. Google is not celebrating Pac Man’s 30th Anniversary. 30 years of providing happiness to every gamer. Though the game doesn’t possess colorful charms and high tech weapons but the excitement every time the monsters would chase you is truly amazing. The game was developed by Namco and licensed for distribution in the U.S. by Midway. It was first released in Japan way back May 22, 1980. It is one of the longest running video game franchises from the golden age of video arcade games, and one of only three video games that are on display at the Smithsonian in Washington D.C. A Daughter From Yao Ming’s Wife

Yao Ming’s agency told that the wife of Chinese basketball star Yao Ming gave birth to a daughter Friday afternoon at a hospital in Houston, the United States. Yao Ming has been on the side of the game court for about a year due to a foot injury, he is very thankful to everyone who cares about his wife, Ye Li, and his daughter during the past several months. He hopes that the media do not throw the spotlight on his family so that his daughter could grow up like other babies of ordinary families. Last January, it was reported about prediction over future height of “Baby Yao”, the height and gender in the hopes that the child will someday lead the national basketball team as shows in image above. Yao Ming who is the center of NBA-ALL Star is expected to come back on court next season according to the report. U2’s Frontman Bono Undergoes Emergency Back Surgery

Paul David Hewson a.k.a Bono of U2 undergone back surgery after an injury in their rehearsals for the preparations of their world tour. According to his manager as his representative to media, he is currently confined in Munich hospital since Friday after his operation in back surgery. Their manager, Paul McGuinness added that because of the injury, U2’s 360 Tour stop on June 3 in Salt Lake City has been postponed. After that date, the band was scheduled to play in Anaheim, California, on June 6 and 7, followed by Denver on June 12 and Oakland, California, on June 16. There’s no word whether other dates have been canceled. This was posted on their website in an MP3.
