Michelle Williams Now Sports Pixie Cut While Promoting Blue Valentine

Michelle Williams, an American actress who rose to stardom after her stint in teen series Dawson’s Creek, joins other Hollywood actresses who now sports the pixie cut fever. Among the actresses are Jessica Stroup, Renée Zellweger, and Hayden Panettiere. Williams is currently at Cannes promoting her film Blue Valentine, a romance-drama film who was directed by Derek Ciafrance. She showed off a freshly cropped, blonde pixie with long side-swept bangs at the French film festival today. Williams wore short hair before. She had famously chopped her locks into a dramatic Mia Farrow-esque do in 2007, the 29-year-old’s new lighter, brighter neck-baring style is a marked change from the honey-colored, collarbone-grazing waves that she’s been sporting recently. The indie film darling is reportedly in talks to play Marilyn Monroe.  Could this be an indication that she would play Monroe? Charlie Sheen Is Back To Two and a Half Men

Charlie Harper is now returning to Two and a Half Men. The actor has agreed to return to the sitcom for two more years after publicly considering leaving the show. Sheen said in a statement “To put a fitting end on the two and one-half months of whirlwind speculation, I’m looking forward to returning to my CBS home on Monday nights.” His contract has expired last month and he also recently denied the reports regarding his salary negotiations for a new contract. Ronnie James Dio Died From Gastric Cancer

Lead vocals of Dio band Ronnie James Dio, an American songwriter, died last Sunday after his battle against gastric cancer. According to his wife and manager Wendy Dio, the singer died at 7:45 in the morning. “Today my heart is broken,” Wendy Dio wrote on the singer’s site . “Many, many friends and family were able to say their private goodbyes before he peacefully passed away. “Ronnie knew how much he was loved by all,” she continued. “We so appreciate the love and support that you have all given us … Please know he loved you all and his music will live on forever.” The statement was confirmed by publicist Maureen O’Connor, who said Dio died in Los Angeles. He had been treated at a Houston hospital. Dio revealed last summer that he was suffering from stomach cancer shortly after wrapping up a tour in Atlantic City, N.J., with the latest incarnation of Black Sabbath, under the name Heaven And Hell. Kate Moss’ Pictures Are Worth £30,000

British supermodel Kate Moss nude pictures value could reach as much as £30,000 when they are auctioned off on Friday. The black and white photographs taken in 1993, in Marrakech, Morocco. It was the time when Moss was shooting to fame as a 19-year-old. Scottish fashion photographer Albert Watson took the pictures which are now being sold as a “contact sheet” mounted on aluminium at Christies. A photography expert from the auction house, Alexander Montague-Sparey, said: “Albert Watson is a famed photographer. “He is known for his work in black and white and these photographs have a golden quality to them which makes them very attractive. “There is a contact sheet with 14 photographs and they are very large for contact sheet photos. “There was another print from this shoot which was enlarged and sold for £50,000. “The photographs are like looking through a keyhole into an intimate moment and they draw you in. “There is an intimacy between the photographer and his muse. Catherine Hardwicke Expressed Her Feelings Over Lutz and Greene’s Salary Dispute

Director of the first Twilight film Catherine Hardwicke, an American production designer and film director, expressed her feelings towards the current salary dispute that involves Ashley Greene who plays “Alice Cullen” and Kellan Lutz who plays “Emmett Cullen” in the movie series Twilight. “It would really break my heart if they were replaced, but it could happen. Things could turn ugly quickly,” Hardwicke said this weekend at the Twilight Convention in Vancouver, Canada. Lutz and Greene reportedly had a three-picture deal, which already expired. They are trying to score paydays of about $1.5 million as work begins on the fourth movie installment “Breaking Dawn”. Hardwicke says the young actors might not even be all that involved in the negotiations. “They have all these people and outside influences telling you what to do,” Hardwicke said. “They tell you to hold out for this much because you’re such an important part of the franchise, and everyone is telling you to ask for more.” But it’s a dangerous game, she adds – pointing to the case of Rachelle Lefevre, who was replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard for Eclipse. “A lot of stuff can get mishandled and misunderstood,” she said. “That is what happened with Rachelle Lafevre.” Do they actually deserve more money? Hard to say. “Probably they do deserve more money, on one level,” Hardwicke says. “But if everybody makes so much money then … [shrugs]. It is very complicated. Oh my, it is such a mess. Philippines Commission of Election proclaimed today (1 PM, Tuesday) the winners of the last three (3) of the 12 spots as Senators until year of 2016. And these are: Former senator Sergio Osmeña III (independent/Liberal Party guest candidate) Incumbent Senator Manuel Lapid (Lakas-Kampi CMD) Bukidnon Rep. Teofisto Guingona III (Liberal Party) Despite the pending vacancy created by the election of Sen. Noynoy Aquino, the Comelec said it will not proclaim a 13th senator. According to the Comelec which is sitting as the NBOC, Osmeña held on to 10th place with 11,583,854 votes (as of late Monday), while Lapid and Guingona remained at 11th and 12th place, with 10,971,045 and 10,200,293 votes respectively. Akbayan Rep. Ana Theresia “Risa” Hontiveros-Baraquel remained at 13th place with 9,041,494 votes. Behind Hontiveros are Muntinlupa Rep. Rozzano “Ruffy” Biazon with 8,566,631 votes and Jose de Venecia III with 8,317,528 votes. They ranked 14th and 15th, respectively. Huge Silk Chinese Painting “Achensee” Price Hits Record High of $15 Million Dollars

Last Monday, a huge silk Chinese painting by Zhang Daqian, one of the best-known Chinese artists of the 20th century, went for nearly 15 million U.S. dollars. According to Guo Tong, general manager of Guardian’s modern and contemporary Chinese painting and calligraphy department, the painting “Achensee” — auctioned at the China Guardian 2010 Spring Auctions Monday night — was sold for 100.8 million yuan (about 14.7 million U.S. dollars), Guo Tong added that this was the first time that a modern contemporary Chinese painting had gone for over 100 million Yuan. The Sild Chinese Painting “Achensee” measured 264.2 centimeters long and 76.2 centimeters wide. This was painted in 1968 by Zhang Dagian, inspired by his visit to Lake Aachensee in Europe, and has been exhibited in New York, Boston and Chicago. The landscape painting is widely recognized as a masterpiece. Death joke did not escape Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth after a disc jockey told his listeners on air that “Queen Elizabeth II has now died.” after he played the national anthem “God Save The Queen”. DJ Danny Kelly  made that wild joke over the local radio service for Birmingham and the surrounding West Midlands area BBC WM. BBC apologized “unreservedly” this Tuesday after a radio presenter jokingly announced that the Queen had died. The radio spokesman said it was a reference to an item on Kelly’s Internet page. “We can confirm that Danny Kelly made an inappropriate remark about The Queen during his radio show,” the spokesman said. “Although made as part of a light-hearted piece about social media friends, and corrected on-air immediately after it was made, the comment was entirely inappropriate and the BBC apologises unreservedly for it. “There was no intention to offend. “BBC WM takes this comment very seriously. Action is being taken.” The spokesman could not say what action was under way. Kelly’s biography on the BBC website describes the qualified chef and former second-hand car salesman as “outrageous, outspoken and often hilarious”. The BBC WM website says he has a “unique brand of humour”.
