It’s been a long time since I’ve had any hot pictures of Kylie Minogue on the site, probably because as the old folks say, she’s in the afternoon of her hotness. Here she is looking pretty good for her age filming scenes from an upcoming video surrounded by a gaggle of half naked people. Her body is still kinda impressive and I think the knee pads were a nice touch, but I’m guessing the song is pretty terrible. Although I suppose different generations have different tastes in music. (The distributor’s original estimates were off by more than $500,000 as a result.) That was good enough to land the ovulatastic doc in the overall Top 10 on a mere 534 screens. In order to help mop up the devastating oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, hairdressers, pet growers and farmers are collecting hair and fur. The hair which is stuffed into nylon tights helps soak up thick oil spewing from the blown-out well off Louisiana. Hair is an extremely effective and efficient material for removing in all kinds of oils including petroleum. More than 365,000 salons are participating in the charity that organizes the massive “hair lift.” Facebook is one of the ways in informing other people to take part in the said activity. About 450,000 pounds (204,000kilograms) of hair and fur are arriving everyday. The Applied Fabric Technologies which is the largest oil boom manufacturer supported the technique. In 15 warehouses near the disaster zone, volunteers have been stuffing the nylons with hair and making it huge “hairy sausages” or booms. The booms will be laid on beaches to soak up any oil that washes on shore.
