On the mountain, it’s about feeling proud that my body allows me to see such beautiful things. You don’t have a rail-thin build. Was it hard to find your place [in modeling]? BROOKLYN DECKER: I got successful once I accepted I’m athletic, I have boobs. I set my own standard. I had a huge viewing breakthrough as I watched last night’s V, cringing while I cataloged the Fifth Column missteps that I’ve come to expect . And actually, only a slight change of perception helped draw the alien-invasion drama out of its unique mash-up of Battlestar Galactica -style ethical dilemmas and, frankly, wholly original studies in idiotic characters (whose decisions fly in the face of everything logical on Earth): Maybe this show would make a better comedy. Let me explain.

If the endless commercial breaks weren’t filling the run-time, it was the slow performances and relentless quips from aspiring quadruple threat Harry Connick Jr. (That’s singer/actor/composer/ jokester to you!) making us day-snore. Fortunately, the night boasted some great moments in three key performances. Match your rankings against ours and pray that season nine’s best singer isn’t eliminated tonight.

With dozens dead and countless houses covered by water, Taylor Swift and other celebrities are sending their thoughts and prayer to Nashville this week. The city has been ravaged by floods and record-breaking, torrential rain storms. At Sunday night’s MET Costume Institute Gala in New York, Taylor sent out well wishes to those in her hometown: “Right now Nashville is under water. We had the worst storm in 35 years, so please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. A lot of people back home are not doing well.” Taylor isn’t alone in this sentiment. Tweeted Brad Paisley: “I think all my road guitar gear, amps, effects are under 3 ft of river… Just saw two girrafes, two elephants, and two rhinos walking down the road toward a HUGE wooden boat. Thinking about followiing them.” Added Julianne Hough: “Hey guys! Please keep the families and everyone else in Nashville in your thoughts and prayers… They really need it right now! Thanks.” Meanwhile, a Nashville music executive says there may be a fundraiser in honor of the legendary Grand Ole Opry House and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, both of which have been ruined by water damage. Taylor Swift Leads Celebrity Prayers for Nashville

Like Lindsay Lohan without a drink in her hand, or Kim Kardashian without the paparazzi around her, it’s official: Casey James is lost without his guitar. The one-time favorite is in serious trouble of going home this week, following an abysmal rendition of “Blue Skies” on American Idol last night. Simon Cowell summed him up well, saying Casey wasn’t “fantastic” and seemed awkward and embarrassed. That’s an understatement. Who ruled the night? Lee DeWyze and Michael Lynche. We rank the Harry Connick Jr.-mentored performances below: DeWyze : Ellen said his take on “That’s Life” would have won the whole thing for Lee if he sang it on the finale. That’s a stretch, but it was definitely our favorite performance. We’ve heard all season that DeWyze has the most radio-ready voice and this did nothing to diminish that reputation. Lynche : Love him in the fedora. It’s the perfect accessory for Big Mike. As usual, he connected with viewers by singing a classic love song, “The Way You Look Tonight.” Crystal Bowersox : Eh, nothing special. But we did see a Siobhan-like side, as Crystal talked back to the judges and said she doesn’t want to hit high notes simply because she’s on American Idol . Might this anti-Idol attitude come back to bite the favorite? Could fans turn on her? Aaron Kelly : Not as bad as Casey, but nothing memorable, either. Really not top-five material, an opinion unchanged following “Fly Me to the Moon.” James : The most in danger this week. Not very versatile and utterly confused about what to do without a guitar in his hands. Who was your favorite? Who would you vote out tonight?
