Source: Gilbert Carrasquillo / Getty Confusion circling a Kanye West album should surprise no one at this point. Variety is reporting from a source that Ye’s Jesus Is King album will not be dropping on Friday (September 27). Here we go again. Despite the publication sharing information, it got from a source close to the situation, West’s wife, Kim Kardashian, is doubling down on the Friday release date. The reality star retweeted a picture from an account belonging to someone named “Colin” who Yeezy does follow. 2 more days Jesus is King pic.twitter.com/ZKqmqkMeHZ — colin (@colinags) September 25, 2019 Per Variety : A meeting about the album between West and Def Jam executives recently took place in the rapper’s occasional home base of Wyoming, where he staged a massive event to launch his “Ye” album last year (news of the meeting and the album’s delay was first reported by Hits ). West held one of his semi-weekly church-like “Sunday Services” in Wyoming last weekend, which was attended by super-producer Rick Rubin — who came in during the final stages two of West’s last three solo albums, “Yeezus” and “Life of Pablo,” and met with him the month before “Ye” dropped — so his presence suggests that an album is finished. Fans and Hip-Hop enthusiasts are no strangers to Ye’s theatrics as of late when it comes to releasing his albums. Kanye fans waited for the Yandhi which was supposed to drop in September 2018. The project was delayed multiple times while West was hanging out in Africa before subsequently being shelved. Then there were the ambitious five albums in five weeks rollout that didn’t follow the schedule at all. Instead, we got a watered-down version of Teyana Taylor’s G.O.O.D. Music debut, a subpar Nas album, and two forgettable Ye featured joints. At least we got some pure raw from Pusha T though. Lets also not forget The Life of Pablo’s disastrous rollout that saw the perfectionist continuously re-record and mix the album well after its release. Well if Kim says it’s still coming on Friday then hey we gotta belive his wife right? She was the one who broke the news of the album’s existence in the first place. Even his boy Consequence admitted to HipHopDX when it comes to Kanye, “it always runs down to the wire.” We shall see what happens at the stroke of midnight. — Photo: Gilbert Carrasquillo / Getty
Source: WENN.com / WENN A screenwriter has filed a lawsuit against a number of entities over claims that the idea for What Men Want starring Taraji P. Henson was stolen from him. The screenwriter named Paramount Pictures, film producer Will Packer and BET in the suit. The Blast reports : He accuses the defendants of infringing on his copyright with their film “What Men Want”, which starred Henson. Carlini claims, “In 2014, Plaintiff began writing an original screenplay for a feature- length film along with David Collins (“Collins”), which had as its central plot point a woman obtaining the ability to hear men’s thoughts. By 2015, Plaintiff and Collins had written a complete draft of the screenplay, titled What The F Is He Thinking?” He continues, “Starting in 2015, Plaintiff and Collins began shopping What The F Is He Thinking? to various production companies, studios, financers and actors. Broadly construed, “shopping” involves the process of circulating and/or pitching a project to various production companies, studios and film financers for the purpose of securing production, financing, and/or distribution of the project. Efforts are also undertaken during the shopping process to attach key talent and/or a director to the project.” He adds, “During the shopping process, Plaintiff and Collins met with representatives of the following production companies and/or studios: Weinstein Company (now Lantern Entertainment), Montage Films, and Bloom. Plaintiff also spoke with potential talent, such as James Franco, Chris Pratt, King Bach, and Nick Swardson. The last meeting Plaintiff had with a studio representative was in July 2017, when he met with a representative from Bloom. At this meeting, Plaintiff provided the screenplay and business plan for What The F Is He Thinking? to the representatives. This was done in furtherance of facilitating a potential business relationship.” Joe Carlini says that although his pitch wasn’t picked up, the defendants named in the suit took his idea and presented to Henson and the producers. He is seeking unspecified damages. — Photo: WENN

Source: Tibrina Hobson / Getty Another day, another rapper popped for firearms charges, unfortunately. Blac Youngsta is currently locked up in Houston after getting caught riding dirty, with ammo. According to TMZ, yesterday (Sept. 25) Blac Youngsta and three friends were riding around Houston in a GMC Yukon. Source: SOPA Images / Getty House Passes SAFE Banking Act The owners and employees at your local weed shop are probably rolling one up to this good news. According to MarketWatch and contrary to Republicans claiming Democrats are foregoing their work to impeach Donald Trump, the House managed to pass the SAFE Banking Act. This legislation will allow banks to do business with banks. Although marijuana is still federally illegal, cannabis businesses in legal states still have nowhere to do their banking. The constant influx of cash makes dispensaries targets for robberies and other crime. Now it’s time for the Senate to do their job and pass this bill, unfortunately, Republicans like “Moscow” Mitch McConnell is staunchly anti-marijuana and doesn’t seem to give a damn if people get robbed or killed. However, semi-rational GOP-ers like Sen. Mike Crapo says he wants a vote before the end of the year. Perhaps there are provisions that could be put in place that would prompt conservative support but until then we are skeptical of their support. “There’s a line of thinking that McConnell could go along with a pot banking bill to help Republicans in the 2020 elections,” Katz said. “The tough re-election prospects of Republican Sen. Cory Gardner [a co-sponsor of the bill] of marijuana-friendly Colorado are often cited. But the benefit to Republicans, especially in the West and South, of supporting a bill that’s at least superficially pro-marijuana, is debatable.” It seems silly to continue to fight America’s evolved view on cannabis with 33 states that have legalized medicinal use. “I’m fairly confident that either the SAFE Act or STATES Act will be passed,” said Rob DiPisa, co-chair of law firm Cole Schotz’s Cannabis Law Group. “I think the industry has come too far. The cat’s out of the bag, and it’s not going to disappear, so banking needs to happen.” This is meaningful legislation that will benefit all those who are looking to enter the cannabis industry, especially Black business owners who want to open dispensaries in our neighborhoods.
Source: Tasia Wells / Getty Adrienne Says She’s Isn’t Singing On “The Masked Singer” The internet was convinced they knew who the person was underneath the extravagant Flamingo costume , weeks before the show even aired. Now it seems like the show might be doing some cleaning up to keep people watching, or maybe…fans are actually wrong. When the following clip dropped online of the mysterious flamingo singing, folks immediately named Adrienne Bailon as being the person behind the feather. Hit play and tell us if you hear a little cheetah in the flamingo. Fast forward to this week, Adrienne is actually denying it’s her. She says it would be impossible to film both shows at the same time but she’s flattered by the suggestion. Hmm! Tamera didn’t seem that convinced in the clip, however. Hit play. Fans are still not buying it. Who else could it be??? Adrienne is on The Real lying! That was definitely her cheetah-licious ass in the flamingo costume on #maskedsinger — Jae (@Jae_Jacobs_) September 26, 2019 Do YOU think Adrienne is telling cheetah-licious lies?

Source: Universal Pictures / Getty While 2018’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom didn’t exactly experience the blockbuster success of it’s 2015 predecessor Jurassic World (which grossed close to $2 bilion worldwide) it was still enough to earn itself a threequel, and this time fans of the dinosaur amusement park franchise will be seeing some familiar faces thought long gone. After having Jurassic Park OG Jeff Goldblum reprise his character of Dr. Ian Malcolm in last year’s installment of the resurrected film franchise, it has just been announced that a few more characters who were a part of the Jurassic Park story from the get-go will now be returning to the world they helped create. In a tweet that went out this morning on Jurassic World’s Twitter page, fans were put on notice that Laura Dern (Ellie Sattler) and Sam Neil (Alan Grant) will be joining Jeff Goldblum’s Ian Malcolm as Jurassic Park alumni in the 2021 threequel to Jurassic World . They’re back. Welcome to Jurassic World Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler & Ian Malcom. #2021 pic.twitter.com/28jjkq7Y5P — Jurassic World (@JurassicWorld) September 25, 2019 Given their age at this point you’d think they’d be easy meals for any carnivore running on two legs, but we’re pretty sure Universal Pictures won’t let them go out like that on the big screen given their fan-favorite status. Are you excited to see these Jurassic Park OG’s return for the possibly finale to the multi-billion dollar dinosaur franchise? Let us know in the comments. — Photo: Getty
