Back in June , BET Networks and Tyler Perry studios unveiled BET+, and now we know when it will launch and how much it will cost. BET+ is officially launching September 19 and will cost you a very reasonable $9.99 a month and promises to deliver to its subscribers over 1,000 hours of programming. As first reported, the service will feature a “curated” library of videos and new online-only scripted shows like the White House drama, The Oval , a seed of the partnership between Perry and BET. Also coming to the streaming service is Perry’s extensive catalog of work, stand-up specials from Lil Rel, Nick Cannon and Sasheer Zamata plus original shows First Wives Club, Bigger and Sacrifice. According to the “Old Town Road” star, he says there’s no issue between him and Hart and even if there were issues, the public wouldn’t know about it. TMZ exclusively reports : The “Old Town Road” rapper says he’s not fuming about the perceived slight. While recording an interview Tuesday with DJ Scream and Moran Tha Man — for their Atlanta-based show, Hoodrich Radio! — he said, “I’m not mad at Kevin Hart.” Lil Nas really wanted that to sink in for the outrage police on the Internet … who were still going after Kevin, even after he suffered serious injuries in that car accident. Last week on HBO’s “The Shop” Nas X was asked about coming out as gay earlier this year. Before he could even get into why he came out when he did … Kevin blurted out, “He said he was gay, so what?!?” Many people found it tone-deaf. Kevin later interjected with more clarifying questions that some took as disrespect, especially in light of his past issues with the LGBTQ community. B yron Lee Williams was on riding his bicycle in Las Vegas, Nevada when he was stopped by police. Less than an hour later, he was dead and his family is now speaking out. See Also: Lifetime Blames R. Kelly For Gun Threats That Stopped Premiere Of Docuseries About Women Accusing The Singer On Sept. 5, around 6 a.m., Williams was riding his bike that allegedly didn’t have a safety light. According KTNV , when two officers, Benjamin Vazquez, 27, and Officer Patrick Campbell, 28, tried to stop him, he took off and eventually began running on foot. The officers were caught him and told Williams to get on the ground. While being cuffed, Williams told the officers he couldn’t breathe. The Las Vegas Sun reports an officer was heard telling him: “Yeah, because you’re tired of (expletive) running.” Williams was allegedly straddled by one of the officers, who had his knee pinned against Williams. “Pressure on your butt, that’s all,” said one of the officers. Williams continues to complain about not being able to breathe. “As they were taking him to the patrol car, Williams appeared to pass out. Officers called for assistance and the Las Vegas fire department arrived several minutes later,” KTNV reports. The 50-year-old later died hospital. Williams was armed and the police claim drugs were on him. We’re watching the body camera footage showing the @LVMPD arrest of Byron Lee Williams. He later died. He ran from officers near Bonanza & MLK on Thursday before surrendering. At a press conference, his daughter said, “Byron Lee Williams did have people who cared about him.” His niece also added, “He was loved, he was a changed man, it needs to be known that he changed his lifestyle.” At the press conference, where body cam footage was showed, Asst. Thompkin, who is identified as Williams’ stepson, claimed the footage the family saw was “doctored” and “that up to 40 minutes had elapsed between the traffic stop and images that he said showed his stepfather lifeless on the concrete, meaning that he didn’t die on the way to the hospital, as the family was told.” The officers were placed on routine leave as the family is asking for the investigation to continue. TMZ caught up with the Nature Boy, Ric Flair and he announced he signed a deal with the iconic sportswear brand. Wooooooo, if true, Flair is going to be “stylin and profilin” in a pair of adidas for the rest of his life. The legendary wrestler broke the news to TMZ and wants to put Nike in the figure-four leg lock and make them submit to being number 2 if he has his way. He turned on the Flair swag while boasting of the new partnership and running off all the names who are already a part of the brand. Per TMZ : “Ready for the good news? Adidas thinks I’m ‘The Man.’ I signed a deal with them, and we’re fixin’ to make Nike the 2nd brand. It’s not gonna be Air Jordan anymore, it’s gonna be Air Flair, and I can’t jump.” “It’s gonna be Adidas, Woooooooo!!!” Naitch wouldn’t go into detail about exactly what the partnership entails, but he rattled off a few NBA stars he’s pumped to work with … and he took aim at Nike’s founder and chairman. “This is me and Damian Lillard. Harden, James Harden, who I love and should be the MVP. Nike’s gonna be [outta here]. We’re gonna fire a shot over Phil Knight’s bow.” While we are positive Nike isn’t really sweating at this announcement, color us intrigued at the idea of some of adidas classic silhouettes getting the Ric Flair treatment. We are still waiting for a statement from the German-based sportswear brand.
