Rubbin Sarpong Scams Women Out Of Millions Another day, another scam. A New Jersey man is behind bars after authorities say he scammed 30 women out over $2.1 million by posing as a “sweet message sending” soldier online. Rubbin Sarpong, a 35-year-old Ghanaian citizen with US residency, was recently arrested for swindling women on sites like Plenty of Fish, Match.com by posing as a U.S. soldier serving in Syria. Things got so bad apparently that authorities allege that one woman committed suicide after transferring nearly $94,000 to Sarpong and his crew. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Rks MullaTeam (@rksmullateam) on Mar 2, 2017 at 1:56pm PST The New York Daily News reports that Sarpong and a number of his coconspirators stationed in Ghana created fake profiles and told women they were military personnel stationed in Syria and who received, recovered or been awarded gold bars. Unfortunately, the well-decorated soldier couldn’t get his bars back to the U.S. so he needed their help. The fraudulent scheme worked on 30 women who sent personal checks to Sarpogn (and his accomplices) and wired money to his bank accounts. Sarpong is charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud. None of his co-conspirators have been charged and he faces up to 20 years in prison. Mind you we’ve previously reported on the Tinder Swindler who also got MILLIONS from women and a Georgia man who scammed $80,000 from a woman in a single week. This will be a change from the first three seasons, which were all eight episodes. The show has already proved to be a success with Rae earning a Golden Globe nomination last year for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. The show has also been nominated for multiple NAACP Awards, two MTV Movies and TV Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards, including one for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Issa. Hopefully, this upcoming season will be the best season yet so the awards and recognition can keep coming!

The talk show host was a guest on Thursday’s The View and was about her split and her ex’s love child with his alleged mistress Sharina Hudson. In between talking about her upcoming 11th season of her show, she told Sunni Hostin that it’s absolutely true that she’s splitting from Kevin, not “because of his infidelity,” but because he fathered a child outside their marriage. “Infidelity is one thing,” said Auntie Wendy. “A full baby is a whole other topic. A baby. I’m not changing Pampers. I want to be pampered. Get out of here.” Despite her words, Wendy made sure to emphasize that she doesn’t think her ex “Big Kev” is a bad guy and she’s sticking to her promise not to [overly] bash him in the media. “Kevin’s not a bad man. Big Kev. He’s not a bad man. You can’t just throw away 25 years and start talking recklessly about the other person — otherwise, what does that say about you? You know? Recently, the group announced that they would be partnering with the NFL as part of their Inspire Change initiative to donate $400,000 to two Chicago charities — the Better Boys Foundation Family Services organization and the Crushers Club. Well, surprise, surprise… Folks did some digging into one of the organizations, and it seems they don’t fully ride for Black people despite their surface-level charities. Twitter user @RzstProgramming brought up AAALL the receipts. They dug up old tweets and social media posts from Crushers Club and it was revealed that… 1. They have a history of gleefully cutting off Black boys’ dreadlocks. 2. They support Donald Trump helping Chicago with gun violence. 3. They believe “All Lives Matter.” 4. They practically fawn over the Chicago Police Department. *Sigh.* It seems most of the smoke is aimed at Crushers Club president Sally Hazelgrove who, according to now deleted tweets, said things like: “And another Crusher let me cut his dreads off! It’s symbolic of change and their desire for a better life!” “And another Crusher let me cut his dreads off!
