It seems like just yesterday he announced new music and we’ve already got the visuals for his single “Tribe”. The action builds towards a climax of dancing as our host breaks it down with inimitable swagger, spirit, and style. Intercutting a long fluid tracking shot, the pacing mirrors the song’s jump from nimble verses into a chantable hook. “Tribe” paves the way for his highly anticipated second full-length, 85 To Africa, coming on August 23, 2019. The project marks the culmination of an unbelievable journey for Jidenna. Following the runaway success of his 2017 debut, The Chief, he was evicted from a rental home after the owner foreclosed without notifying him. He was scheduled to immediately begin a tour that began on the I-85 in Atlanta and ended in Johannesburg. Without a home to return to, he wound up living in cities across Africa and created this masterful soundtrack for a road trip across the Atlantic Ocean. This life-changing shift laid the groundwork for 85 TO AFRICA and what promises to be one of the most dynamic, diverse, and definitive projects of 2019. As a prelude to this journey, also shared an album trailer. According to WKYT , a woman in Pennsylvania suspected of urinating on potatoes at Walmart has turned herself in. Authorities say 20-year-old Grace Brown is facing multiple charges including open lewdness, criminal mischief and public drunkenness. Brown turned herself into officials on Tuesday when she learned folks were looking for her. Authorities posted surveillance images of the incident on Twitter, but they didn’t disclose when the incident took place or why she allegedly let her waste fly on the potatoes. Peeing on potatoes!! Security told him to leave then called the police, who found the caller outside another home in the neighborhood where he was able to explain himself. He left the area, but police found him a few driveways away, using a photograph sent to them by the security guards. The man said a friend had invited him to the house and must have been playing a joke. A Texas sheriff’s deputy — who is known for appearing as a bailiff on a televised courtroom show — has been charged with murder after he allegedly shot his wife twice inside their home. Renard L. Spivey acted as the bailiff on the courtroom show Justice For All with Judge Cristina Perez , which aired from 2012 to 2016. When he wasn’t on TV, he served as a deputy with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office in Houston . But now, he’s got a whole new reputation going forward. On Monday, the 63-year-old was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on a murder charge. According to reports from ABC News , authorities responding to a domestic disturbance call encountered Spivey with a gunshot wound to the leg. To be specific, what occurred to certain characters viewers were introduced to in the film is something people are still trying to figure out. For example, earlier this week, Ava DuVernay answered a question from a fan who wondered what ever happened to Korey Wise ’s girlfriend, Lisa, whom he left briefly at a chicken joint to go to Central Park with friends. In the film, Korey was played by actor Jharrel Jerome ( now nominated for an Emmy award ), and Lisa was played by Euphoria star Storm Reid . Source: Atsushi Nishijima / Netflix And while, for instance, Raymond Santana was able to reconnect with his love interest, who is named Tanya in the movie (and played by Aurora Perrineau ), Korey was only able to daydream about Lisa when he was in prison for more than a decade. Ava said when he was finally released, he wasn’t able to get back in touch with her because she died. Unless Ava has some more insight on that, which she is looking to share, we’ll never know. There did seem to be an homage of sorts to her and that time Korey’s life at the end of the film. But as Wise shared in an interview with The New York Times prior to the release of the hit Netflix movie, he still found that he has a lot to be thankful for. “ This is life after death,” he said of where he is now. “I always say that.
