Rodriguez / Getty New Music: Beyonce Releases Album Inspired By ‘The Lion King’ Reboot Queen NalaYONCE was inspired by the 2019 reboot of the classic Disney film The Lion King and she gave us a full album! It’s called The Lion King: The Gift and it’s blowing up the internet. Beyoncé says the project was meant to be “ a love letter to Africa ” in a recent interview. Although curated by Nala herself, this is far from a solo project. Executive producer Bey solicited contributions from artists from various parts of the globe including Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, and South Africa. In the features, you’ll find Mr Eazi, Yemi Alade, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, and Tekno sing in multiple languages. She also does duets with Donald Glover and Kendrick Lamar. Even though The Gift is a separate project from the film’s official soundtrack, that doesn’t stop Beyoncé from telling that timeless story of the Pride Lands through each track. According to AP News , a man screaming “You die!” burst into an animation studio in Kyoto, Tokyo, doused it with a flammable liquid and set it on fire Thursday, killing 33 people. While the college has not identified the employee, on Tuesday a Twitter user by the name of @GrindAlways___ shared that he experienced several inappropriate moments with DeMarcus Crews, who served as Assistant director of Student Services. Crews’ LinkedIn profile lists his title as the Interim Director of Department Housing and Residential Education. Please get Morehouse’s attention. He also said that he reported Crews to the Title IX official on campus and another administrator, who both ended up leaving their positions. Title IX is a federal civil rights law passed in 1972 which states the following: “No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.” To date the student said there several emails left unanswered by Morehouse officials. Apparently, the Ambassador to Sweden is doing some damage control in light of the bad PR the country is getting behind A$AP Rocky’s wrongful arrest and subsequent imprisonment. Karin Olofsdotter tells TMZ that Rocky has not been singled out and is being treated with TLC. Olofsdotter also says that despite the fact that the whole incident is on tape, Rocky may be charged with more serious crimes, perhaps not seen. She didn’t really elaborate on her ominous statement. She goes on to say that Black people should feel welcome because Sweden is “top ten in the world for rule of law” whatever the f**k THAT means… Yeah. Naw.
