On Sunday, it was announced that “Jessie” actor Cameron Boyce died Saturday night in his sleep. According to law enforcement: “The 20-year-old actor,who starred in several Disney shows including “Descendants,” could not be revived after paramedics rushed to his home. Cameron’s family said he had an ongoing medical condition and died in his sleep the result of a seizure.” Boyce is most known for his role in the ‘Descendants’ TV series and movies, playing Adam Sandler’s son in ‘Grown Ups’, “Shake it Up,” “Austin & Ally” and “Good Luck Charlie.” Cameron’s family released a statement about their son’s sudden passing, writing: “He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated. Source: Rodney White / RODNEY WHITE Jeffrey Epstein Arrested For Sex Trafficking Minors Jeffrey Epstein, known for being both a wealthy financier and registered sex offender , was arrested on Saturday on new charges related to accusations that he was involved in sex trafficking dozens of minors between 2002 and 2005. The former hedge-fund manager is now in federal custody, according to the Daily Beast , and is expected to appear in court on Monday. The sealed indictment will reportedly claim that Epstein “sexually exploited dozens of underage girls in a now-familiar scheme: paying them cash for ‘massages’ and then molesting or sexually abusing them.” This abuse allegedly took place in both his Manhattan apartment along with his home in Palm Beach and he could face up to 45 years behind bars. Epstein was taken into custody on Saturday afternoon at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey when his private jet landed from Paris. This arrest comes more than a decade after Epstein avoided federal criminal charges with a once-secret plea deal that has been widely criticized. Under the terms of that deal that is currently being challenged in court, Epstein was able to plead guilty to a lesser charge and was sentenced to only 13 months in jail . He had to register as a sex offender, but served his sentence in a private wing of a county jail and came up with an arrangement that allowed him to work out of his office six days a week. Earlier this year, a judge in Florida ruled that Epstein’s victims should have been consulted in regards to the deal. But, last month, the Justice Department said it would not nix Epstein’s non-prosecution agreement. The court hearing for Epstein’s case in on Monday.

They will gather to determine the best way to use the Atlanta City Detention Center where individuals are currently being held for minor offenses. According to a statement released by the task force, Mayor Bottoms wants to transform the facility into a space that can be used for wellness, the reduction of recidivism, and a support center for individuals who are impacted by mass incarceration. “There is a much better use for this facility,” said Mayor Bottoms as she signed legislation to have the jail closed in May. “My dream for this jail, for this physical facility, is that it becomes a center of equity. I see this as a place that we will have access to childcare, GED training, vocational training, also perhaps some type of housing in this place, workspace.” She believes that reimagining the jail will be an impactful step towards getting ahead of crime in the city. Facilities like the one being proposed by the mayor and the task force are needed. According to Patch , Georgia is the No. 1 state in the country when it comes to the number of people who are under supervision. This includes individuals who are in prison or jail or who are on parole or probation. Harris has been dedicated to bettering Atlanta. In April the rapper—who was awarded by the Georgia Senate for his philanthropic efforts—teamed up with the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church to bail out nonviolent offenders so they could be reunited with their families for Easter. Officer Kevin Morris arrested, 19-year-old Arnaldo Pesoa of Silver Spring on Wednesday on charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, attempted distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, resisting arrest and second-degree assault. At the time of the arrest, MPD was conducting an undercover operation regarding Pesoa selling psilocybin mushrooms in the area. In the cell phone footage of the incident, you can hear Pesoa yelling at an officer, “I just spit on your f****** shoe,” just before the officer pulled the man’s shirt over his face. Capt. Tom Jordan with the Montgomery County Department of Police told CBS Local reporters : “It does show some use of force by an officer. We are looking into all aspects of this incident and will continue to investigate.” Pesoa posted a $5,000 bond and was released, while the assaulting officer has been assigned to administrative duties and his police powers have been suspended as the department reviews the incident.
