Source: Hugh Dillon/WENN.com / WENN Patti LaBelle Gets A Street Named After Her In Philadelphia The city of Philadelphia is doing their part to honor one of the city’s very own musical legends–but for some reason, they didn’t even bother to double check the spelling of her name. The city’s Streets Department honored singer and icon Patti LaBelle by naming a stretch of Broad Street between Locust and Spruce streets after her. Of course, this is a huge honor–but the problem with this is that they spelled her name wrong. The “b” in her last name was not capitalized, as reported by the AP . But luckily for everyone involved, it seems like the mishap got straightened out fairly quickly. At the unveiling ceremony, LaBelle signed her signature onto a correctly spelled version of the sign. The singer spoke on the honor of having her own street in Philadelphia, saying, “I was a shy little girl from West Philly. To go from shy Patti to Patti LaBelle Way is incredible.” According to a city spokesperson, they are aware of their mistake and will install signs with the proper spelling of the legend’s name as soon as next week. Congrats to Patti LaBelle on the much-deserved honor.

A chauffeur named Anthony T. Greene who claims he was assaulted by Jordan, is seeking $25,000 in damages, plus the cost of attorney fees, and he’s coming for everyone including The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s production company (True Entertainment), Thomas, and of course Jordan, Bossip reports. Email Submit If you recall, there was a wild scene that went down at the grand opening of Peter Thomas’ Club One in Charlotte, North Carolina, on season 9, episode 9, of RHOA, which premiered in 2017. After asking Moore to be the night’s MC, Thomas graciously paid for her and Jordan’s ticket so that they could be sure to attend the event. But right before the event, Jordan and Moore got into a heated confrontation. Moore then asked Thomas to cancel Jordan’s flight from Atlanta to Charlotte, but no one bothered to tell Jordan that he was uninvited. After showing up to the airport and discovering his ticket was cancelled, Jordan drove from Atlanta to Charlotte, arriving at the grand opening to everyone’s surprise. When Moore is alerted that Jordan is at the event, she immediately leaves and tries to exit with Greene driving. According to Moore, Jordan blocked her vehicle with his car in an attempt to get her attention. After approaching Moore’s vehicle, things get physical and he ultimately ends up hitting the chauffeur in the face before he exits the premises. But now, Greene, says he is owed for the physical and emotional stress from the incident. He claims that he had no prior knowledge of Moore and Jordan’s volatile relationship, and because he says the producers were aware that Jordan was on his way to Charlotte, he feels he wasn’t protected during that fateful night. After checking into a hospital the day after the confrontation, he discovered that he suffered from a concussion. The incident occurred during the middle of the day and FS1 TV/radio host Colin Cowherd was live on the air with things got to-movin’. Source: Michael Wright/WENN.com / WENN YG’s SUV Involved In A Police Shootout In Los Angeles YG is making sure the world knows he had nothing to do with a high-speed chase through the streets of Los Angeles, even though it involved an SUV registered in his name. The Compton rapper told TMZ the following before tweeting out the same statement: “I was nowhere near the scene of this incident and had been in a recording studio all day in Hollywood. I was there until after midnight on the Fourth of July and didn’t learn of these events until after they happened.” The outlet’s sources say that YG is the registered owner of the black Cadillac Escalade that was involved in Wednesday night’s pursuit, which began with a deputy-involved shooting in Compton. The SUV had aftermarket bulletproof glass and armor. The Escalade is said to be a company car and like YG mentioned, he did not know the vehicle was being used at the time. According to police, they were initially called to apprehend a reckless DUI suspect, but detectives then responded to a deputy-involved shooting after an innocent bystander was caught in the crossfire and shot dead at the scene. Following the deadly shootout, a high-speed chase ensued and the pursuit finally came to an end in Inglewood. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says that more shots were fired during the chase, with suspects shooting at deputies and a Sheriff’s helicopter, which was not struck by bullets. One deputy was shot during the pursuit and suffered minor injuries from a gunshot wound, and he was treated and released. According to multiple reports, a patrol car’s windshield was peppered with bullets. At least one person was detained, and another suspect remains outstanding. The actress is confirming that she’s exploring legal options as it pertains to her marriage. After separating from Carmelo in 2017 and reconciling in 2018, La La might be pursuing a divorce.
