Georgia Inmate Flees Courthouse You have to be pretty bold to try and escape while you’re in the custody of Georgia State Deputies. One Decatur man was clearly about that life, or just afraid ago to prison, when he escaped from a group of Benton County inmates who were being processed for court on Monday. 28-year old Diego Jose Zayas-Martinez was originally charged with terroristic threatening and criminal mischief for threatening to kill a man in 2018. But after fleeing from deputies on foot earlier this week, Martinez’s new charges include first-degree escape and criminal trespass. According to reports , deputies chased a handcuffed Martinez through the courthouse parking lot for several minutes before they found him hiding under a house on Central Avenue. He is now being held at the Benton County Jail on a $550,000 bond with his hearing set for July 15 in Benton County Circuit Court. SMH.

However, the real thing that was holding her back, according to the 49-year-old actress and TV personality, was fear that Reggie would resent her if she didn’t want to go through with trying to have a baby following a few miscarriages. Tami and Reggie, that latter of the two being 32, have been dating since around 2013, 2014. When the moment presents itself, we’ll jump out there and do it.” Guess they certainly jumped out there after all. Reggie has been a regular face on Basketball Wives since their relationship became serious. They were also featured on WE TV’s Marriage Bootcamp: Reality Stars where they quarreled over his desire to marry and have a child with her. After working with the experts on the series, she had a change of heart, and while Tami initially wouldn’t do marriage, she started trying to have a child with him. She announced that she was six months pregnant on VH1’s now-defunct Love & Hip Hop Atlanta After Party Live in 2015. A few weeks later, she revealed that she had miscarried. A longtime Miami news anchor and reporter Todd Tongen met a tragic end at age 56 when he committed suicide, according to WPLG Local 10 News . According to the outlet where Tongen worked for 30 years, Tongen’s wife was on vacation in Italy with their younger son when she was unable to reach her husband. She asked a friend to check on Tongen and eventually, the police were called. The anchor was found dead in his home on Monday morning. His brother, Dr. Scott Tongen, told Local 10 that he had no clue Todd was struggling. “I don’t really think he was thinking about ending his life, as far as I know,” he said, explaining that Todd had upcoming plans for a trip to Canada and Las Vegas. “But there was clearly something that was bothering him.” Seeking help is not a sign of weakness. He spent 30 years at WPLG telling the stories of the people in our community and giving so much of himself to this community. He was an incredible person. He lit up the room with his warm personality.” He continued: “As hard as it is, our news team is reporting on the circumstance of Todd’s death, we will report on this painful subject of suicide and mental health and perhaps we can help one person out there who is struggling. We miss Todd terribly. Sometimes in our society it takes being pushed to the edge to make extreme decisions that actually better your life. We’ve seen it amongst Black mothers who make a way out of no way, we’e seen in it starving artists who go homeless chasing a dream, and it’s the story of Remi Adeleke , who overcame the odds of his drug-ridden community where trouble lurked at every turn. He pushed himself to join the Navy SEALs. “I didn’t want to fail anymore,” he says. “I felt like I had nothing left. The Seals team was my way out. I had no other options [and] that’s what pushed me.” From being stripped of everything by the Nigerian government after losing his father at a young age to being raised by a single mom in the Bronx, Adeleke had to adapt. Luckily, his mother instilled “excellence” into him and his siblings that stuck with him, even after he navigated poor school systems, illegal activity and more. After joining the SEALs team, which he had to prove himself for because it almost didn’t happen due to some legal issues, Adeleke went on to become an entrepreneur, actor ( Transformers: The Last Knight , 2017) and now, author. So that’s what I hope people get from this book,” he says. “If you fail, cool. But do not let that failure define your future. Disney Announces The Lion King “PROTECT THE PRIDE” Campaign Source: Disney / Disney Disney’s upcoming film, LION KING starring Beyonce, Donald Glover, James Earl Jones, Keegan-Michael Key, Alfre Woodard and more hits theaters July 19 th! If somehow you’re unfamiliar, Lion King tells the story of what happens when after the murder of his father, a young lion prince flees his kingdom only to learn the true meaning of responsibility and bravery. To gear up for the release of the film, Disney has launched the “Protect the Pride” campaign designed to raise awareness around the danger of lions and other wildlife across Africa, focusing on protecting animal populations and their habitats. The Lion King “Protect the Pride” campaign focuses on protecting and revitalizing lion populations and the habitats they need to thrive. Disney has already donated more than $1.5 million to the Wildlife Conservation Network’s (WCN) Lion Recovery Fund (LRF) and its partners andwill make additional grants as well as invite fans to help double the donation for a total contribution of up to $3 million. Nicole Curran Says She’s Gotten Death Threats Over Beyoncé The lady who mindlessly mumbled across Beyoncé’s blessed face is responding to the backlash. Nicole Curran is apparently flummoxed by the backlash of the Bey Hive who’ve been badgering for her over that 13-second incident during the NBA finals. According to Curran who’s married to Warriors owner Joe Lacob, the video of her leaning across Bey to talk to Jay Z isn’t what it seems. Instead, she insists that she was taking the couple’s drink orders and only got close to Beyoncé because it was so loud in the arena. She also clapped back at fans who told her to “kill herself” over the incident. “Listen Beehive. I respect Queen B. I love her!” wrote Curran in her IG comments section. “I talked to her husband twice tonight. First, to take a drink order for them both when they arrived as they were our guests. Second, to explain why I gave his wife a rose from a fan. All of this has been taken out of context. I am a happily married woman. Telling me to kill myself??? Somehow I don’t think she would support this.” She’s since deleted her account—but not before the Hive got some NASTY comments in. Source: FOX / Getty Jussie Smollett and the alleged faked attack in Chicago still hangs over his head, and now portions of the investigation are becoming available to the public. The latest evidence to be made public was a 911 made by a friend of Smollett noting that the reportedly former Empire actor was found with a noose around his neck. TMZ reports : On the January 29 phone call, which Chicago PD just released, the friend says Jussie’s “attackers” wrapped a noose around his neck, after getting jumped as he left a Subway restaurant. The caller says Jussie didn’t want to file a report, but he was going to force him to do so. The male friend sounded panicked as he said, “They put a noose around his neck” and added … “this is really f**ked up.” Police had said the 911 call was made 40 minutes after Jussie got back to his Chicago apartment.
