Source: Splash News/ Getty/ Bruce Glikas / Getty Nessa Diab Vs. Jenelle Evans Rule number two in the White Privilege handbook — when confronted on your ish by a person of color, start crying crocodile tears. Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans all about that handbook, because she definitely pulled a page out of it on Monday after being confronted by Teen Mom 2 co-host Nessa Diab on her anti-Kaepernick, pro-Trump social media post. Nessa, who usually stays out of the casts drama, decided to call out the reality star on her blatant hypocrisy. During the season, Jenelle got pissed at co-star Amber who made accusatory comments on social media about her husband David — but Jenelle turned around and did the same thing to Nessa about her boyfriend, Colin Kaepernick . Nessa stayed true to her calm, chill nature — but clearly, Jenelle didn’t want the smoke. The HOT 97 host stated: “When I saw those comments, I did not attack you online, nor did I disrespect you over the years. My man uses his platform to peacefully protest police brutality against black people…that is the issue…I would’ve appreciated it if you contacted me.” An emotional Jenelle responded: “I honestly have no idea who your boyfriend is…I would like to see [the comments] because what if it was an ad…was it an ad? I’m highly confused right now. I don’t know anything about your husband, and I don’t know anything about what you’re even talking about. I swear to god, I’m done with this bullsh*t. This is exactly why I didn’t want to f*cking come here. This is about my storyline, and you want to bring up your issues? Okay. You got your show.” After the Teen Mom stormed off the stage, Nessa continued on, explaining to Dr. Drew and the audience why she brought up the situation during the show. “I’ve known Jenelle over the years, and I’ve always been fair and just to her. It wouldn’t have been authentic to who I am to be on this stage with someone who disrespected my family on social media.” Clearly, certain folks can dish out the drama, but can take it when their confronted about it. Source: Judy Eddy/WENN.com / WENN A soul singer from the ’60s is angling for a big payday after bringing a lawsuit against Virginia producer Timbaland for sampling one of his tracks for a pair of songs. Ernie Hines filed a $2 million lawsuit against Timbaland, who used the original recording to create songs for Jay-Z and Ginuwine separately. The Blast reports : 81-year-old Ernie Hines filed a lawsuit, obtained by The Blast, against Jay-Z, Timbaland, Roc-A-Fella Records, Def Jam Recordings, Universal Music Group and Sony Music. Hines, a soul musician from Jackson, Mississippi, says he’s the co-author and composer of the 1969 song, “Help Me,” which was sampled on both Jay-Z’s “Paper Chase” from the Hard Knock Life album, and Ginuwine’s 1999 song, “Toe 2 Toe.” Timbaland produced both tracks, and the document notes that “Toe 2 Toe” has sold over “2 million copies.” Hines’ attorney, Christopher Brown, writes that his client is a “senior citizen, does not listen to rap music and was unaware” that the songs contained his music and composition. Thus far, it appears that Timbaland has not publicly responded to Hines’ lawsuit claims. — Photo: WENN
Source: Nike / NIke Seems like Nike just caught an L. Just a few weeks after the debacle that was the Travis Scott rollout on the SNKRS app , Nike is catching new heat on social media for their latest Puerto Rico inspired Air Force 1 which features a design that doesn’t exactly represent anything Puerto Rican. Latinos in general, maybe, but not specifically Borinquen culture. View this post on Instagram LINK IN BIO: Yo, they had one damn job. SMDH A post shared by HOUSE OF HEAT (@houseofheat) on May 17, 2019 at 10:00am PDT DJ Clark Kent was quick to point out that the design resembled a Panamanian art form known as Mola that although originates from a Latino country, is not in any way connected to Puerto Rico. View this post on Instagram This is called a “Mola” • It is a Panamanian art form. You can find it anywhere in my home country, PANAMA • Respectfully, This is not a part of Puerto Rico’s rich culture. • Though we are both Spanish speaking people, we have different traditions, art & cultural expressions. When celebrating one, please do proper research. These things should not be confused. • A post shared by DJ Clark Kent (@djclarkkent) on May 16, 2019 at 3:38pm PDT Whether the backlash will cause Nike to cancel the release of these joints remains to be seen but don’t be surprised if that actually turns out to be the case. Their past Puerto Rican inspired 1’s have been pretty dope with the way they would utilize the island’s flag and its colors to capture that Borinquen steez. These new joints though, they ain’t it, chief. Check out some OG Puerto Rican AF1’s below and let us know your thoughts on Nike’s latest snafu. Allison Williams took audiences by storm with her performance as Rose in Jordan Peele ‘s hit movie Get Out, a movie about white people transplanting their brains into the body of talented Black people. Now in her latest movie The Perfection , which hits Netflix on May 24th 2019, she’s back at it again, this time as Charlotte a former music prodigy who gave up her dreams at becoming the best to take care of her sick mother. She hatches a sinister plan when she discovers Lizzie has taken her place as the top star in the music world. The trailer for this movie prompted one Twitter user to ask Allison Williams how many Black people is she going to kill in her movies? So being that I had the chance to sit down with Allison, and Logan Browning who plays Lizzie I decided to let her know what people were saying about her. Allison replied, “Yes, we knew when the trailer came out that that would be the reaction. I knew that was going to happen but that’s ok. It’s ok if you go into the movie thinking that.” Allison also opened up about Black men’s reaction to her after seeing Get Out and she said she ends up coming across a lot of people who ask for a picture with her while she is holding a set of keys. She does mention that she’s lucky that people can separate her from the character but it just takes a minute for them to loosen up. The ladies also opened up about how the script was a page-turner with Logan saying she couldn’t put it down, while addressing how the movie is multiple genres in one film. Check out this week’s episode of Extra Butter with Xilla Valentine and be sure to watch The Perfection on Netflix May 24th.

Word on the curb is that Tyga supposedly married Tristan Thompson’s son’s mother Jordan Craig before he got with Blac Chyna. See if you can follow the overlapping trail inside… Well this is…interesting. There has been drama brewing between rapper Tyga and Cleveland Cavaliers baller Tristan Thompson as of late. Apparently, Tyga liked a sexy photo of Tristan’s son’s mother Jordan Craig on Instagram and that pissed Tristan off. Allegedly. These Internet streets are saying hours after Tyga liked a pic of Jordan, Tristan hopped on IG hours later to troll. The baller posted a picture of his son with Jordan, Prince, on his IG Stories with the caption “Mi bwoy sweet.” [ione_media_gallery src=”https://zhiphopcleveland.com” id=”4564254″ overlay=”true”]
