Source: GRANT HINDSLEY / Getty Amazon is looking to expand on the success it saw through advertising bringing which brought in more than $10 billion which is absolutely astounding. To do so, the tech giant reportedly rolled out very quietly ad-supported music streaming service that could help it gain ground on Spotify. Amazon who already has the third-largest music subscription service behind Spotify and Apple Music is looking to make a serious play for the top spot in the streaming wars. The new platform will be completely free thanks to it being ad-supported and will work exclusively with the tech giants Alexa-enabled smart speakers. Per MSN : “Amazon is looking to launch a free, ad-supported music service in a move that would represent the clearest threat yet to Spotify’s dominance, according to a report from Billboard. The service would be geared toward Amazon’s voice-activated Echo smart speakers and would feature a limited catalog of songs.” “In order to secure the rights to this music, Amazon has reportedly agreed to pay some record labels a per-stream rate, at least initially, regardless of how much advertising is included on the platform.” This new service will be the company’s third music subscription platform. Amazon already offers Prime Music that gives its users access to a catalog which features over 2 million songs as an added bonus to their $119 Amazon Prime subscription. There is also Amazon Music Unlimited which costs $9.99, $7.99 for Prime members and $3.99 a month for those who use a single Echo or Fire TV devices and offers users access to a catalog of 50 million songs. Experts feel this new service could cut into Spotify’s 116 million monthly active users it reported it had in 2018. A 13-year-old girl is on life support two days after a fight on campus at Attucks Middle School. Kashala Francis ‘ mother Mamie Jackson says her daughter was attacked by two girls after school on Thursday. A third girl jumped in and kicked Kashala in the head. Jackson says when her daughter returned home after school Thursday that she was okay and just had a bruise on her face. As the days progressed, Kashala complained of a painful headache. Jackson told her daughter over the phone to lie down. By the time first responders arrived at their home, Kashala was unconscious. She was rushed to Texas Children’s Hospital and doctor’s made a tragic discovery. “We found out she has a large tumor in the back of her head, and she had fluid buildup in her brain,” Jackson said. The tumor was unknown to family members before doctors discovered it on Sunday. There’s no word on whether or not the fight contributed to Kashala’s condition or if it were a pre-existing condition. HISD in a statement wrote, “The district is aware that several Attucks Middle School students were involved in an off-campus altercation on Thursday. Talk about an Easter miracle. After attacking a Black woman on the street, a white Florida man learned the hard way the a bunny is most definitely strong enough to whoop his a**. According to Click Orlando , over the weekend, a Black woman in Orlando got into a fight outside a comedy club when a white man bumped into her and then spit on her. In a video of the attack that went viral, Antoine McDonald, dressed in a Easter Bunny costume, jumps to the woman’s defense, laying paws on the man after he witnessed the man physically attacking the woman. “I don’t know if he was bullying her or what,” McDonald told Click Orlando. “[But] I am going to say that I am happy so that people know that they just can’t spit on African-Americans. Especially African-American females and think that it’s OK.” Apparently, the fight ended when an Orlando police officer arrived to the scene and split everyone up. While McDonald may have appeared to have been fearless, he admitted he was concerned he might be arrested for assault. “The thought went through my head when the cop came over, but you know I didn’t leave. I didn’t run. I said, ‘You know what? This man deserved it.’ You know, if I have to be arrested for this to prove a point that this shouldn’t be happening, then so be it.” Luckily he didn’t get in trouble. Our hero. The news comes from TMZ Sports who pubbed a super sweet letter that the HIGHEST PAID NFL ATHLETE sent to his brethren. “Every Sunday we go to battle together,” Wilson wrote. “… You sacrifice your physical and mental well-being to protect me, which in turn allows me to provide and care for my family. … This does not go unnoticed and it is never forgotten.” “When I sat down to think of ways to honor your dedication a dozen different ideas came to mind,” he added “Some were flashy, some were cool, but I wanted to give you something that had a lasting impact. Blige , now you can (potentially) add Adele to the list of famous boss women who’ve had to pay an ungodly amount of money to their ex-spouse during a divorce. Over the weekend, a rep for the Rolling In The Deep singer confirmed that her and her husband of seven years, Simon Konecki, are splitting and reports surfaced soon after that Adele could have to pay up big time. Various U.K. outlets are reporting that Adele and Simon never signed a prenup when they wed in 2011 — which means that Konecki could be entitled to half of the singers earnings. That’s a lot of bread…approximately $182 million to be exact. But the 30-year old songstress could potentially walk away with her full $275 million net worth if she’s plays her cards right. According to lawyer Emma Gill, the courts could deem the marriage as “medium-length”, based on their son Angelo’s 2012 birth, which would ultimately work in Adele’s favor. “If it was a short marriage, Adele would probably walk off into the sunset with her £150 million ($275 million) fortune intact. Because it’s pushed into that medium-length bracket, and some of her successes are squarely within her relationship with Simon, they might be liable to be shared — in other words, Simon could be entitled to half.” Even if Simon was with Adele shooting in the gym, $180 million is a lot of money to dish out for a divorce.
