Remember when The Game got a lot of flack for constantly name dropping entertainment and Hip-Hop peers in his raps? Well, Chance The Rapper must’ve not gotten that memo because on the latest segment of The Late Late Show ‘s “Carpool Karaoke” the Grammy Award winner name dropped some big time celebs in-between rocking out with James Corden. When asked what his relationship was like with fellow Chicagoan, the last real American President, Barack Obama, Chance revealed that “I don’t have a number for him but I have a number for him.” He explained “I have a person that I can call that will say “Okay, i’ll have him call you.” Well, that a helluva lot closer to speaking to Obama than anyone of us will ever get. And if you thought Chance’s chances of getting ahold of Jay-Z was any easier, think again. “That’s the same way with Jay-Z. Jay-Z and Barack Obama are very very similar. Both of them have an assistant that you have to call and then you get a call from a private number and it’s either Jay-Z or Barack Obama on the phone. I never know which one it is calling when I get that call back.” We’d settle for a wave from anyone of them in person if anything. Just sayin.’ Check out Chance The Rapper’s “Carpool Karaoke” segment below and enjoy the comedy.
Source: photo: WENN The saying you can’t teach an old dog new tricks rings true once again. Snoop Dogg doesn’t understand what the big deal is about his recent appearance. Hot New Hip Hop is reporting that The Doggfather is shrugging off his critics who said his set at a Kansas Basketball game was way too raunchy. The performance in question featured the west coast legend rapping to his hits as he was surrounded by pole dancers, money and fake guns. While he didn’t blink an eye many patrons in attendance and alumni watching at home felt a ways forcing the school to issue a formal apology. It’s actually happening. I had the time of my life. I enjoyed myself, hung out with the basketball teams.” The “Deep Cover” MC went on to theorize that the school had no choice to say sorry. “I think it was more the publicity of what I did. they had to cover it up. And, I respect them, and I wasn’t gonna put no smut on their name and say they did anything wrong because they invited me to come do what I do” he explained. “And, when you pay for Snoop Dogg, you gon’ get Snoop Dogg.” More footage below. Remember when T.I. was out on his press run as Iggy Azalea’s hype man, co-signing her and gassing her up as she topped chart after chart? Well, T.I. has had a change of heart apparently. Now, he, as only he eloquently can say, considers the whole situation his “biggest blunder.” Peep the quote here: T.I said he is still trying to undo the blunder of signing Iggy Azalea… pic.twitter.com/Zu8KIopVhB — (@TheJuiceAlert) October 9, 2019 Iggy Azalea, who apparently gets every bit of news that comes her way, was quick to clap back with a now-deleted tweet that said “Imagine thinking I was his biggest blunder lmaoooooooo Tip. Sweetie. We have a whole list for you.” Welp. She does have a point, though. She did make T.I. a boatload of money, where it was problematic or not. T.I. also has a point because of the backlash he received from introducing the world to such an apparent culture vulture. Which side are you on? Peep the tweets to see the sides people are taking. I don’t like what ti said about Iggy in that interview. The only thing that tarnished your legacy was you having all those guns up in your house… — (@baddiettee) October 9, 2019
Source: VH1 / VH1 Evelyn Lozada’s Basketball Wives Antics For better or worse, this has been the season of Evelyn Lozada . She has been the straw that stirs the drink on Basketball Wives and has been since the season premier a few weeks ago. Since then, she’s brought out lie detector tests, slapped the dust off of her unmentionables, and falling into the bushes. In the last couple of weeks, she has had a feud with OG that has intensified to nuclear levels. Just last week, OG and Evelyn had it out over OchoCinco hopping in the former’s DMs. Then Evelyn filed a whole a$$ restraining order against her rival. Which brings us to the Reunion. In the show, OG had to be sent off to another stage because Evelyn felt “threatened.” Oh. Word? Twitter was FURIOUS about this and called Evelyn out for what they consider hypocrisy. Peep the RUTHLESS dragging. Evelyn went from big bad wolf from the Bronx to a white woman in distress! Talking about OG taunting her with her abuser when she is still messaging same said abuser and same said abuser will be the one who rescue her if she was in danger! #BBWReunion #BasketBallWives pic.twitter.com/O8WzQjMI4H — Glenn CoCo (@MarkDNeal) October 10, 2019

The self-proclaimed Haitian Goddess and Instagram influencer said she can’t pay her court fees according to court documents obtained by The Blast. View this post on Instagram This pregnancy was absolutely the toughest, most humbling, yet beautiful experience of my life. I went through hell and back. Health complications seemingly from day one. Lost friends, money, opportunities, and even some of the little bit of sanity I thought I had . However, this journey taught me to be more understanding, observant, forgiving, and most importantly PATIENT . There were times I felt so alone and would look down at my belly and immediately cheer up, knowing she’s hanging in there with me through all of the stress and drama. She’s truly been my protection and kept me strong and going. There were moments I began to doubt myself, but my spirit wouldn’t stay down, thanks to my beautiful little girl. Her annoying kicks would always be the reassurance I needed to make it through the tough days. Knowing what I know now and after looking back on my experience, I can confidently say she was well worth all the chaos. From the moment I decided to keep her, I promised myself and God that I’d show her unconditional love and teach her to be 3x the woman I am. And that’s a promise that will never be broken. I’m super excited and blessed to get a chance to love and guide this little one. I can’t stop crying tears of joy when I look at her. Thank God we made it A post shared by Haitian Goddess (@elizareign_) on May 1, 2019 at 5:33pm PDT The court ruled in her favor, finding her “Indigent”, which waives the majority of fees she would have to pay in her legal battle against Future. Earlier this year, Seraphin official filed her lawsuit against Future, seeking child support for their child. Future has denied that he is father. The rapper has a total of 6 kids, including one with singer Ciara. Source: John W. Ferguson / Getty After wesley snipes expressed worries about the “new jack city” sequel in the works, Ice-T is now giving his thoughts. The actor and rapper spoke with HipHopDX on the topic, considering he starred in the 1991 movie along with Snipes. When asked about his opinion on the movie, Ice-T said he’s not involved in the project and explained: “I don’t know if they’re going to be able to pull it off for a couple of reasons. One is Wesley’s performance. It’s going to be hard to match Nino Brown. I mean, Wesley did a legendary performance to where people are actually calling themselves Nino Brown. He really did it, a fictional character. Two, I think that movie had a lot to do with timing.” He continued: “It was about the crack era during the crack era. All the music was current — from the New Jack Swing music and the stuff Teddy Riley was doing. It was based on an actual operation out of San Francisco Felix Mitchell had going, where people were getting high in a building and never leaving. So, that was real, The Carter was based on something that was real. So right now, you’re in an opioid epidemic, but I just don’t know how they could flip it.” Ice-T went on to say that he didn’t want another remake mishap like the recent remake of “Superfly”. “I mean, they tried to remake ‘Superfly’ and that sucked,” Ice-T said. “I mean, it was a valid attempt, but you can’t make a movie that’s just a big music video.” When asked if he’d be in the sequel to “New Jack City”, Ice-T said: “I definitely would want to read the script. I wouldn’t want to mess with it. Even though that was my first movie, that’s still one of my best movies that people talk about, so I wouldn’t want to destroy that legacy. I think they’d been better just doing another movie, not having it to do with ‘New Jack City’ ; just do a new movie. I don’t think you can remake ‘New Jack’. I don’t think you can remake ‘Scarface’. I don’t think you need to remake ‘ The Godfather’; certain movies like that, leave them alone, you know?” There you have it. Ice-T seems to join Snipes, who said: “I think some things should be left alone…if it worked at the time under the circumstances. And the story was built around things that are current. I don’t particularly like the idea of recreating the drug culture. For what? […] I don’t know. They actually talked to me about doing it and I told them no. If I had a dime for every time I’ve said no. It’s a done deal, it’s a wrap.” A release date has yet to be announced for the “New Jack City” sequel since it’s still in the works with actor and filmmaker Malcolm M. Mays writing the script. There is no director attached yet. But 97.9 The Beat’s Dee “lilD” Porter’s rise to fame on the radio airwaves was anything but smooth. The Dallas, TX radio personality, who endured poverty and homelessness in her quest for success on the air, has written about her struggle to succeed on the radio in her new memoir, “Route 2,” which is out this week. In it, the Louisiana native and self-proclaimed “Mouth of the South” recalls the three months she spent homeless and working two jobs in order to break into radio. The book, out Oct. 10, includes a forward from “The Breakfast Club” host Charlemagne Tha God and chronicles her grinding for low wages, going hungry and struggling to fill her car with gas for the two hour trip for her part-time radio gig. lilD said she promised herself that if she made it, she would write about her experience to help others. Source: Shutter King Images @shutterkingimages / Shutter King Images @shutterkingimages “It was a Wednesday and I was sitting in that motel room,” lilD recalled in a recent interview with BOSSIP. “I knew I wasn’t going to eat until Friday, and I thought if I make it through this…I realized that so many people are going through a struggle right now. I want them to know that this isn’t the end of the road, it’s the beginning.” lilD said she hopes the book will show readers the real deal about breaking into the radio industry while illustrating that people coming into it can be successful if they are willing to work hard and stick it out. “I want people to get a realistic vibe,” she said. “This industry is very tough. You don’t just come in one day, be a jock and make $80,000.” But “I want them to understand that if you believe in yourself, the risk will pay off.” She also hopes that “Route 2” will help counter the stigma around homelessness. “Your co-workers could be homeless, because I was and nobody knew,” lilD said. “Homelessness isn’t just that you chose to smoke your rent away. Homelessness has a face and it was my face at some point…You never know what’s going on.”
