Source: Mondadori Portfolio / Getty Rihanna Speaks On Trump’s Racism While Dealing With Mass Shootings Rihanna is killing every magazine cover in sight, and today, the mogul revealed that she’s on the cover of Vogue’s November issue–wearing her very own Fenty designs, nonetheless! In the issue, which hits stands on October 16, Rih talks about everything from fashion to politics, including some choice words she has for y’alls lil president. When asked about her reactions to the recent El Paso and Dayton attacks, she said “That should never, ever be normal. And the fact that it’s classified as something different because of the color of their skin? It’s a slap in the face. It’s completely racist.” Rihanna continues, “Put an Arab man with that same weapon in that same Walmart and there is no way that Trump would sit there and address it publicly as a mental health problem. The most mentally ill human being in America right now seems to be the president.” Beyond her very on-point analysis of the f***ery being performed by Donald Chump each and every day, Rih also confirms in the interview that she did in fact turn down a Super Bowl halftime show opportunity out of support for Colin Kaepernick. “Absolutely, I couldn’t dare do that. For what? Who gains from that? Not my people. I just couldn’t be a sellout. I couldn’t be an enabler. There’s things within that organization that I do not agree with at all, and I was not about to go and be of service to them in any way.” You can read Rihanna’s Vogue cover story in full over here . Rihanna continues to dominate in 2019. The newest stop on her success tour is gracing the November 2019 cover of Vogue …and the 31-year-old looks absolutely stunning. Rocking a tan Fenty tulle coat and a full-face of her own Fenty makeup line (we’d expect nothing less), the Grammy winner glowed in her 6th, (yes 6th!) Vogue cover! On her long hiatus from making new music: “I have been trying to get back into the studio. It’s not like I can lock myself in for an extended amount of time, like I had the luxury of doing before. I know I have some very unhappy fans who don’t understand the inside bits of how it works.” On her newly founded Paris-based maison with LVMH : “I’m not the face of my brand, but I am the muse, and my DNA has to run all the way through it,” she says. “I don’t want anyone to pull up my website and think, Rihanna would never wear that.” On her Bae Hassan Jameel (who doesn’t name, but we know who it is): “Yeah, I’m dating. I’m actually in an exclusive relationship for quite some time, and it’s going really well, so I’m happy.” On Trump and gun violence in America: “It is devastating. People are being murdered by war weapons that they legally purchase. This is just not normal. That should never, ever be normal. And the fact that it’s classified as something different because of the color of their skin? It’s a slap in the face. It’s completely racist . Put an Arab man with that same weapon in that same Walmart and there is no way that Trump would sit there and address it publicly as a mental health problem . The most mentally ill human being in America right now seems to be the president.” Most importantly, she speaks candidly about turning down the Superbowl Halftime Show: “Absolutely,” she says. “I couldn’t dare do that. For what? Who gains from that? Not my people. I just couldn’t be a sellout. I couldn’t be an enabler. There’s things within that organization that I do not agree with at all, and I was not about to go and be of service to them in any way.” You better tell RiRhi! Source: Splash News / Splash News Card-carrying victim-blamer candace owens is continuing to be on brand with #metoo critiques after Matt Lauer has been accused of rape. Lauer was initially fired from the “Today” show in 2017 after an anonymous former NBC News employee accused him of sexual misconduct. Now, according to Variety , the full details of the complaint are coming out thanks to a new book by Ronan Farrow called “Catch and Kill.” The book covers Farrow’s investigation of Harvey Weinstein and all the hoops he had to jump through with his then-employer NBC News. One of the biggest moments in the book came when Farrow interviewed the woman who made a complaint against Lauer. She finally revealed herself to be Brooke Nevils and according to Farrow’s book, she says Lauer anally raped her in a hotel room when they were both at the 2014 Sochi Olympics. Nevils says in the book that after a night of drinking at a hotel bar, she went to Lauer’s hotel room twice. She went the first time to retrieve her press pass, which Lauer had taken as a joke. She went the second time because she was invited back by Lauer. Farrow writes that Nevils “had no reason to suspect Lauer would be anything but friendly based on prior experience.” Once she was in his room, Nevils says that Lauer — who was wearing boxers and a T-shirt — pushed her against the door and kissed her. Farrow writes that he then pushed her onto the bed, “flipping her over, asking if she liked anal sex.” She said that she declined several times and “was in the midst of telling him she wasn’t interested again when he ‘just did it.’” The book continues, “Lauer, she said, didn’t use lubricant. The encounter was excruciatingly painful. ‘It hurt so bad. I remember thinking, Is this normal?’ She told me she stopped saying no, but wept silently into a pillow.” “It was nonconsensual in the sense that I was too drunk to consent,” Nevils told Farrow. “It was nonconsensual in that I said, multiple times, that I didn’t want to have anal sex.” In a letter addressing the allegations, Lauer described the night as “mutual and completely consensual.” Lauer and Nevils continued to see each other for sex when they returned to New York, but Farrow explained in his interview with Nevils, “She readily admitted that her communications with Lauer might have appeared friendly and obliging. But she also said she lived in terror of Lauer jeopardizing her career and that the encounters caused anguish and shame that eventually prompted her to break up with her boyfriend.” Apparently, Candace Owens thought this was a good moment to attack the #MeToo movement and to do her usual victim blaming. She tweeted, “ Reading Matt Lauer’s accuser’s story & it’s EVERYTHING I hate about the #metoo movement. She admits she consensually went to his hotel room but was “too drunk to consent”. She also admits she had multiple consensual sexual relations w/ him after her alleged rape.” Reading Matt Lauer’s accuser’s story & it’s EVERYTHING I hate about the #metoo movement. She admits she consensually went to his hotel room but was “too drunk to consent”. She also admits she had multiple consensual sexual relations w/ him after her alleged rape. PERISCOPE SOON. — Candace Owens (@RealCandaceO) October 9, 2019 Then, Owens went on Periscope to suggest we live in an era of “blameless women” and sexual assault victims should take responsibility when in drunk situations. She did so by ridiculously comparing her non-rape related drunk college experience with the experience of intoxicated rape victims. “I got completely blacked out. And in this Black-out spell I started screaming at my girlfriends, I mean we were away somewhere at a party and I was screaming at them and at one point, I took my shoe off and started hitting her car window.” Owens then went on to say that after this night, her two girlfriends didn’t want anything to do with her. After immense shame, she “acknowledged” that she did something to herself by drinking alcohol and apologized to her friends. What this mundane drunk night situation has to do with getting raped is beyond comprehension. But Candace kept on going and proceeded to chastise Nevils for not filing a police report when the alleged rape happen and for continuing to see Lauer after the alleged incident. “That is not an example to me of a true rape,” Owens said. #metoo , @HillaryClinton and the era of blameless women. https://t.co/DL8MIFloN8 — Candace Owens (@RealCandaceO) October 9, 2019 Leave it to Candace Owens to have no comprehension of the layers to sexual assault. Kaitlyn Bristowe does not appear to know any The Bachelor spoilers about the upcoming season of this ABC franchise. But the former reality star does want to spoil your view of series creator Mike Fleiss. For good and with authority, we should add. During an interview with comedian Nikki Glaser on the latest episode of Talkhouse Podcast, the Season 11 Bachelorette lead took aim at the Fleiss when the topic of Dancing with the Stars was brought up. She held nothing back, either. “They won’t let me [go on the show], ever,” Bristowe alleged on this podast, adding in more specific and cruel detail: “I’ll tell you exactly why I can’t go on Dancing with the Stars. Anybody that listens to this podcast knows why I cannot go on Dancing with the Stars. “And it’s because, and I will say this with a mic in my hand and a smile on face, that Mike Fleiss is a piece of sh-t. He is the creator of The Bachelor, and he hates women.” This isn’t the first time Bristowe has made such a powerful claim. Bristowe has long insisted that Fleiss denied her the opportunity from joining the hit ABC dance competition series when she was approached after her season of The Bachelorette in 2015. This, despite the fact that Kaitlyn worked as a professional dancer before appearing on reality televison. “Actually I was offered it, had the contract & Mike Fliess [sic] told me I wasn’t allowed,” Bristwoe tweeted in 2017 after Nick Viall (who placed second on her season) was cast on season 24 of DWTS, adding back then: “He said he didn’t want people wanting fame after his show.” At the time, two-plus years ago, Fleiss actually responded to Bristowe, writing: “@kaitlynbristowe has my total support if she wants to appear on DWTS!!! Thanks I’ll get right on that opportunity 2 yrs ago.” Bristowe then fired back: “I wonder what changed your mind?” So, as you can see, this feud isn’t new or anything. Kaitlyn has simply upped the ante this week with her extraordinarily harsh comments about the executive producer. For the record: A total of four Bachelors have competed on Dancing with the Stars: Jake Pavelka, Sean Lowe, Chris Soules and Viall. The only Bachelorettes to have competed are Trista Sutter during the show’s very first season in 2005 and Hannah Brown , who is currently competing on season 28. And Bristowe obviously doesn’t blame the aforementioned women for their appearance on the program, telling Entertainment Tonight previously that she was totally psyched for Hannah. “I’ve spoken out in the past about how Bachelorettes haven’t gotten the same love as Bachelors when it comes to the chance to complete in the ballroom,” she said after Brown’s casting, adding: “The fact that it’s finally happening again for a female franchise lead is long overdue. I will be watching, glass of wine in hand, and cheering her on.” On Talkhouse Podcast, Bristowe alleged: “So [Fleiss] lets all the Bachelors go on and the only reason he let Hannah go on this season of Dancing with the Stars is because — well, I hope I had something to do with it, that I said something — but because he’s in hot water because there’s some sh-t that came out on him abusing his wife. “So he’s like, ‘Look at me, I love women.’ As long as he’s in power with ABC, I will never get on that show.” What Bristowe is referring to here is the allegation that Fleiss assaulted his pregnant wife this summer. He has not yet responded to Bristowe’s latest insults. View Slideshow: The Bachelor Spoilers: Peter Weber’s Final 12; Hannah Brown Still Trying to Win Pilot’s Heart?!
Last month, we were stricken with horror at the idea that Ashley Martson and Jay Smith might get back together . We soon dismissed our concerns because they had simply arrived, separately, at the same venue. After all, this 90 Day Fiance couple was riddled with scandals and disasters even before their deeply contentious divorce. Only now, in an interview with In Touch Weekly , Ashley reveals that she and Jay are no longer at odds. Most worrying of all, she has even dropped her PFA order against him. Oh no, Ashley! 1. Ashley has us so worried with this As you are about to see, Ashley’s recent playful banter with Jay on social media is just the tip of the iceberg. 2. Jay had a birthday this week On Tuesday, October 8, Jay Smith turned 22 years old. He’s begun to have the Bad Birthdays — after 21, each milestone is a reminder of the relentless march towards the grave. But that didn’t stop him from celebrating 3. Jay wasn’t the only one to mark the occassion Ashley Martson took to her Instagram Stories to wish Jay a happy birthday. Or, more specifically, to write “Happy Birthday, Loser!” In case anyone might think that she was picking a fight with actors Bella Thorne or Percy Hynes-White, she tagged Jay. 4. And Jay responded … “Thanks, punk!” he wrote above a screenshot of Ashley’s message. They may be hurling mild insults at each other, but this looked alarmingly playful to a lot of fans. 5. Fans were understandably alarmed A certain level of communication is often required for an ongoing divorce. But no divorce forces the pair to wish each other a happy birthday on social media. What’s going on? 6. And wait, are they even allowed to speak? Jay spent almost all of the month of July in ICE custody after violating the PFA — protection from abuse — order that Ashley had taken out to keep herself and her home safe from him. Are they even supposed to be interacting like this? View Slideshow
