Source: Eric McCandless / Getty Demi Lovato Responds To Backlash Over Her Trip To Israel Demi Lovato recently posted about a “spiritual” vacation she took to Israel, being transparent about the fact that she was offered a free trip in exchange for posting about her experience. After making several posts about her experiences abroad, some fans weren’t happy with the photos and the fact that she went to Israel in the first place, accusing the singer of taking a political stance in the midst of the ongoing Israel and Palestine conflict. Because of the backlash, the singer turned off the comments on her Instagram page. View this post on Instagram I am an American singer. I was raised Christian and have Jewish ancestors. When I was offered an amazing opportunity to visit the places I’d read about in the Bible growing up, I said yes. There is something absolutely magical about Israel. I’ve never felt such a sense of spirituality or connection to God…something I’ve been missing for a few years now. Spirituality is so important to me…to be baptized in the Jordan river – the same place Jesus was baptized – I’ve never felt more renewed in my life. This trip has been so important for my well-being, my heart, and my soul. I’m grateful for the memories made and the opportunity to be able to fill the God-sized hole in my heart. With that being said, I’m sorry if I’ve hurt or offended anyone, that was not my intention” she explained. The singer continued, “Sometimes people present you with opportunities and no one tells you the potential backlash you could face in return. This was meant to be a spiritual experience for me, NOT A POLITICAL STATEMENT and now I realize it hurt people and for that I’m sorry. After one fanpage said that Lovato didn’t deserve backlash and used the hashtag #WeloveyouDemi, she commented back, saying, “or how about y’all stop having to make hashtags saying you love me every time you realize your words effect me?” In another comment, she threatens her fanbase with leaving social media, writing, “Oh don’t worry, you guys made me feel terrible about it, and prob will continue to do so. Moral of the story: if you’re offered something for free, like…say, a trip to Israel, there’s probably a catch.

We're talking, of course, about Farrah Abraham and Jenelle Evans, both of whom were kicked to the curb after years of tormenting the poor producers who were assigned to work with them. Farrah and Jenelle have talked MAJOR trash about each over the years, but perhaps we shouldn't be surprised by the fact that they've now formed a friendship. Best Frenemies Over the course of their decade in the spotlight, Jenelle and Farrah have lashed out at just about everyone with the misfortune to cross their paths, including one another. 2. Trailblazer Farrah was the first to go. She got the ax in 2017, purportedly over her refusal to stop performing in live internet sex shows. 4. The Cam Girl Of course, as many have pointed out, Farrah had been appearing in adult films for years, and the more likely explanation is that she was fired for being shockingly rude to her production staff. 5. Kicked to the Curb Similarly, Jenelle spent several years making life hell for the people forced to work with her, but in Evans’ case, there’s no mystery about what finally led execs to kick her to the curb. 6. Nick Cannon has more serious beefs than shading Kylie Jenner and Danielle Bregoli. Nick is nursing an 11-year-old grudge. He’s been feuding with Eminem since 2008, when the infamous rapper took cheap shots at Nick’s then-wife, Mariah Carey. More than a decade later, Nick is making it clear that he still feels that Eminem needs to be held accountable for what he said. Speaking on T.I.’s podcast ExpediTIously , Nick Cannon opens up about his longstanding resentment towards Eminem. He clearly doesn’t like that the rapper never met up with him to settle things. “He didn’t wanna battle me,” Nick observes. He says that: “it could have went down.” “I was like, whatever he wanna do, I’m with it,” Nick shares. The feud began in 2008, shortly after Nick and Mariah had first married. “I think we were flying back on a jet from Africa or somewhere,” Nick recalls. “And this motherf–ker drops a song, like, talking s–t,” he complains. Within that song, Nick accuses, Eminem was “Calling her [Mariah] all kinds of b–ches and hoes.” Well, that’s enough to upset anyone, but especially her husband. Nick recalls his furious response: “I’m like, ‘this is my wife. This is my new wife.'” “I wrote a letter first,” he reveals. A letter ? We suppose that the telegram lines were down. “I don’t even know if Twitter had come out yet,” Nixk admits. Twitter came out in 2008, but existing and being popular are not the same thing. “So, I wrote this long-ass letter,” Nick relates. Within the letter, the content was “pretty much saying, ‘look, I respect you as an artist.'” That’s a great way to get off on the right foot. “‘I’m actually a fan,” Nick admitted within the message. “And,” he told Eminem at the time. “I think you’re one of the best ever to do it.” “But from man to man,” Nick wrote. “You are talking out of pocket to my wife.” “You gotta be held accountable for that,” Nick expresses. Goodness. If this were ye olden times, Nick would have had to strike Eminem across the face with a fancy glove to challenge him to a duel. “So,” Nick recalls telling him. “I need to see you face-to-face.'” He even says that he “went looking for” Eminem. Again, this is some straight-up feudal era knights-of-honor nonsense. Nick even says that he would have flown to Detroit for this confrontation. “I was like, look, if you wanna get on the phone, if I gotta go to Detroit,” Nick recalls. This guy was big mad . “You done disrespected my wife,” he explains. Nick explains his extreme fixation: “I gotta show my wife I’m a man, number one.” Toxic masculinity ruins the party once again, we see. “And two, he said my name,” Nick notes. Which summons him instantly. Like Beetlejuice. Nick concludes: “I said, ‘I know I’m not going to be able to out rap you, but I will whoop your ass.'” Well, we’ll say this much for Nick Cannon: He has a very grounded and realistic estimation of his abilities. Can we get some follow-up episodes to Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette? Because the drama with this cast is never-ending, and frankly, it’s a hell of a lot more interesting than anything else that’s coming down the TV pike this fall. One of the most interesting post-season storylines has involved the unexpected romance between Tyler Cameron and Gigi Hadid . After being rejected by Hannah in favor of Jed Wyatt (biggest f–k up in Bachelorette history?) Tyler began dating Gigi , and the two of them seemed to be getting serious. But after just two months of dating, sources have confirmed to E! News that Cameron and Hadid have called it quits. Neither party has spoken about the split publicly, but Tyler hinted at a split during a recent interview. “That’s my friend,” Tyler told E! when asked about Gigi. “We hung out a few times. She’s doing her thing now in Paris and killin’ it so…” Needless to say, Tyler is downplaying the situation considerably when he says that he and Gigi “hung out a few times.” Cameron and Hadid vacationed together and were spotted on numerous dates in the NYC area during their time together. Just last week, Tyler attended the funeral of Gigi’s grandmother . It’s unclear how serious these two were, but this was definitely more than just a fling. In fact, Tyler says he was offered a chance to be the next Bachelor , and it’s widely believed that he passed up the opportunity because of his relationship with Gigi. Instead, the gig went to Peter Weber, who’s basically the only one of Hannah’s frontrunners who didn’t go on to date a celebrity. Currently, it looks likew the relationship between Mike Johnson and Demi Lovato is heating up, and Johnson gushed about his A-list boo in a recent interview. “We’ve gone on more than one date. I like her tattoos. We both have a lot of tattoos and she kisses really well,” Mike said. “I’m getting to know her for her.” Hannah may not have been lucky in love herself. But she’s certainly proven to be a good luck charm for the dudes who competed for her roses!
Even though Kenya Moore is returning for Season 12 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta , her love life isn’t doing nearly as well as her reality career. Indeed, in September we learned that she regained her peach but lost her love, as she announced that she’s divorcing Marc Daly. Now, we finally know why. Dude wanted her to give up her whole life for him, then went and cheated on her left and right. On Thursday, Us Weekly reported that Marc Daly was cheating on Kenya, and this wasn’t just a single mistress or a one-time thing. “Marc has had multiple affairs on Kenya,” the insider reveals. “She walked away from her career for him,” the source observes. “And,” the insider notes. “He had no problem with that.” The source then accuses: “and no problem disrespecting her.” Just weeks ago, on September 19, Kenya announced that her marriage is over already. “It is with profound sadness that I regret to inform my fans that I am divorcing my husband, Marc Daly,” Kenya began. Her statement went out of its way to be vague. “Due to recent and ongoing circumstances,” she explained. “I can no longer continue in the marriage.” That could be anything and everything, and she knew it. “My sole concern and focus is and will always be my daughter, Brooklyn,” Kenya correctly added. Once you create a person, you owe them everything. The best of your attention, your patience, your love, and your time. She goes on to refer to Brooklyn as “my miracle baby.” Notably, Kenya gave birth to Brooklyn past the age at which doctors generally recommend a pregnancy. Kenya affirmed: “She was made in love and true commitment.” Clearly, that last line was a reference to Marc’s cheating, possibly intended to point fans in that direction without saying anything directly. Finally, Kenya concluded: “I ask for our privacy to be respected moving forward.” Not to be all that’s what they all say , but generally, most statements aboud divorce, separation, breaking up, or a family death end with that line. Up to a point, it’s a very reasonable request, but they know that fans will be curious. And, of course, reality stars and other celebrities know that their cultural relevance is largely contingent upon fans keeping up with their lives. It’s obviously hugely disappointing to hear that Marc is allegedly a no good cheater. One, that’s hugely unfair to Kenya, a human being with feelings. It’s also unfair to Brooklyn, though she doesn’t know that yet. But as you may recall, Marc was aggressively camera-shy, to the point where they had a secret wedding that almost got Kenya fired on the spot. His reason for avoiding The Real Housewives of Atlanta was that he felt that the show portrays black men in a negative light. In particular, he resented how black men seemed to be shown to be worse partners in comparison to white men. He was absolutely right to say that. People have written entire dissertations on reality shows and this one in particular. Reality television rewards bad bheavior in its stars, but has a particularly negative effect upon public perceptions of black stars. Eventually, Marc did agree to appear on the show. But he can’t blame Bravo’s cameras for his infidelity, now can he? Unfortunately, someone can be right about an important issue and still be a garbage person in their private life. My hair is currently in a triangle tapered cut and it looks the edgiest and most defined in a wash and go. While I love the nutrients I’m able to give my hair, the one thing I don’t love about rocking a wash and go is the shrinkage. I’ll start with my hair by my chin and by the time it dries, it’s right by my ears. Honestly, it changes the look of the cut drastically and by 3PM…I’m over it. (Just my personal opinion). I got my hands on a sample travel pack of Aunt Jackie’s Don’t Shrink Flaxseed Elongating Gel ($5.89, target.com ) and their Moisture Intensive Leave In Conditioner ($6.39, target.com ). I went on an overnight trip and decided to pack it to give it a try for my wash and go. I washed my hair with the hotel shampoo and conditioner, stepped out and got to business. First, I sectioned my hair and began to apply the leave in conditioner. It smells really nice and as I shingled the product through my curls, I felt the texture coming out strong. Next, I layered the Elongating Gel and shingled the product through my curls. At first I didn’t love it. I didn’t think it made my curls pop like my creams normally do. However, I liked it much better as it began to dry. The product rings true: it’s does elongate your curls! The gel left my hair defined, but flexible. A fabulous show where professionals and students could learn the ins and out of the hair business, network with fellow stylists and take their artistry to the next level, this event was the place to be over the weekend! The annual event kicked off with various hair education presentations ranging from styling wig units to the difference between cutting weaves, natural hair and relaxed hair and the art of advertising. There was also a presentation that highlighted the causes of hair loss and learning how to properly care and treat Black hair. While we all love experimenting with our manes, it’s always important to learn how to properly care for our hair to promote growth and prevent hair loss and “The Causes of Hair Loss” presentation did just that! One in particular, the weave competition, showcased the talent and versatility of the participants. Stylists were given the task of creating a specific quick weave hairstyle in only an hour. With only a bag of tools ranging from extensions, styling products, tools and a picture of the hairstyle they needed to emulate, professional stylists and students raced to complete their chic looks. From blonde bob slays, cropped cuts, fluffy fros and everything in between, I would have never thought you could create hair magic in only 60 minutes! No hair expo is complete without training and the Extensions Expo delivered! With an array of hair weaving classes and hair extensions training, stylists were able to brush up on their skills and learn new tips and tricks to further their careers. Best of all, guests were also able to enjoy hair demos while asking questions to professional stylists. Source: SOPA Images / Getty Three smugglers are thanking both the heavens and the infamous coca plant after a harrowing experience. The trio hung on to their product, bales of cocaine, for dear life while waiting for help. Raw Story is reporting that the trio were on route to transport 1.2 tons of cocaine from Tumaco, Colombia . While in the middle of the Pacific sea they were met with very rough waters; so rough that their ship was capsized by a wave. The men did not have a safety raft forcing them to keep afloat while holding onto their bales of the illegal substance. Seven hours later the Colombian coast guard found them about 30 nautical miles from shore. Captain Jorge Maldonado of Colombia’s Task Force Against Drug Trafficking described the scene. “The coastguard arrived and these three people were floating on a material that by its characteristics resembled drugs ” he revealed. While the unidentified males were still in good health they were formally arrested once they arrived on the mainland.
