As of September 2019, Uncle Sam remains the undisputed champ of those who think it’s a game in these streets. The latest victim to the tax lien haymaker is none other than former Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Peter Thomas . After being arrested earlier this year in Miami for a bounced check, the bad luck keeps on rolling in for Peter. His establishment, Sports One Bar & Lounge in Charlotte, North Carolina closed recently due to some serious financial troubles.  According to reports from TMZ, the bar is more than $237,000 in debt, which ended up causing a federal tax lien. Thomas’ plan, you ask? To close the doors, pay the bill down, and then open his business right back up. This seems to show a pattern of bad money habits and the only person who’s gonna lose in this scenario will be Peter Thomas. The reason for all of this debt racking up was cited as certain investments in other projects–but you should probably pay the bills at the place generating your revenue before you invest elsewhere. As for his Miami arrest, his first his explanation was that his account was compromised and he didn’t know. Then, it was a thirsty booking agent who allegedly filed charges for no reason . What happens at one business is bound to happen at the other, but hopefully, he gets his money straight before investing in anything else. Best of luck to Thomas on his upcoming business ventures. Demi Moore Says Her Mother Paid a Man to Rape Her

Demi Moore has gone public with a truly shocking and harrowing admission. It has to do with something that happened to the actress as a teenager… her mother’s role in this tragedy… and the affect it continues to have on the star. According to Moore in her just-released memoir, “Inside Out,” her very own mother orchestrated a sexual assault against Moore when the actress was 15 years old. In this book, Moore claims that her alcoholic mother, Virginia King, began taking her to bars to get noticed by men when Moore was a young teenager. One night, she came home to find an older man there … in possession of a key to the apartment. After this man had raped her, Moore alleges he said her mother had sold her to him. In the book, she writes: “It was rape. And a devastating betrayal, revealed by the man’s cruel question: how does it feel to be whored by your mother for $500?” Asked if she believed the man, Moore told Diane Sawyer in an interview  this week: “I think, in my deep heart no. I don’t think it was a straightforward transaction. But she still did give him the access, and put me in harm’s way.” Moore’s mother died in 1998. At the age of 12, Moore writes that her mom tried to commit suicide and she was the one who saved her life. “I remember using my fingers, the small fingers of a child, to dig the pills my mother had tried to swallow, out of her mouth,” Moore writes in the memoir, labeling this a “life-changing moment” for her. The actress would go on to check into rehab drug and alcohol abuse in the mid 1980s, prior to making it huge in Hollywood with roles in such blockbusters as Ghost, A Few Good Men and Indecent Proposal. She has made numerous headlines over the past several due to the many revelations in this book, such as: – One of the reasons she split from ex-husband Ashton Kutcher is that he talked her into threesomes that she later regretted . – She miscarried a baby girl six months into her pregnancy back when she was married to Kutcher. – After her divorce from Kutcher, she dropped down to 102 pounds and collapsed at a party and was hospitalised after smoking synthetic cannabis and inhaling nitrous oxide at one point. “I guess the fundamental question that came forward for me was, ‘How did I get here?'” Moore shared with Sawyer, referencing the party collapse and adding: “I mean, from where I started to what I’ve experienced, where I’ve been, how did I get here?” Continued the actress of this time period: “I lost me. I think the thing, if I were to look back, I would say, I blinded myself and I lost myself.” Inside Out went on sale on Tuesday, September 24. We wish Demi Moore the best.

One of the big problems with the social media age is that many people find themselves constantly comparing their own circumstances with the lives of others. For example, the camping trip you took in July may have been the highlight of your summer, but when held up against that European backpacking excursion your Instagram mutual keeps posting about, it looks pretty lame. Nowhere is the phenomenon more evident than in the rebellion of Jinger Duggar. Many young adults who make a conscious decision to live in defiance of their parents belief system do so by getting neck tattoos, living in yurts, or supporting Andrew Yang. Jinger’s dissent takes a much more subtle form, but it’s no less courageous. In fact, given how strict her upbringing was and how much she has to lose, there’s more bravery in Jinger wearing pants than in your typical millennial pursuing a bachelor’s degree in pole dancing studies. First, Jinger married a man her parents don’t approve of, Then, with his permission, she defied the famous Duggar dress. Earlier this year, Jinger and husband Jeremy Vuolo relocated to Los Angeles , a move her famously ultra-conservative parents most definitely did not approve of. The situation has become so dire that rumors of Jim Bob and Michelle disowning Jinger have been circulating non-stop on social media. We doubt things are quite that bad, but it’s evident that Jinger is not her parent’s favorite these days. (Jim Bob and Michelle have yet to visit the Vuolos in LA, and contact between the two couples is limited.) Through it all, Jinger has continued to wear the clothing that was strictly off-limits during her upbringing. And many fans think she’s doing so in defiance of her ultra conservative father: That’s a recent photo of Jinger spending some quality time with her eldest sister, Jana. It certainly looks innocent enough at first glance, but as you can see Jinger’s shoulders are exposed, which is a major no-no in the Duggar dress code. Jinger has permission from her husband to dress less conservatively than her sisters (like we said, all rebellions are relative), but you can bet her father is less than thrilled with this pic. Add to that the fact that Jinger appers to be passing her rebellious spirit onto her daughter, and it’s very possible that Jim Bob hit the roof: Yes, little Felicity is also rocking a sleveless top. It’s unclear if the dress code is as strict for young children, but we wouldn’t be surprised if this were Jinger’s subtle way of sending a message to her overbearing father. “Her outfit is so cute!” one commenter wrote. “Awww she is such a beautiful little girl like her momma!!” a second added. “My daughter has that same outfit!!!”  A recent trailer for the upcoming season of Counting On teased a scene in which Jinger and Michelle finally have a frank discussion about her attire. “There is a lot in the media saying there is conflict between you guys about your choice to wear pants. Is there conflict?” a producer asks. Sadly, it looks like we’ll have to wait for the season premiere for her answer. Florida Police Office Suspended After Arresting 6-Year-Old, 8-Year-Old At Elementary School

A Florida police officer was suspended after he arrested two young children in school last week, including a 6-year-old who “threw a tantrum” only because of an apparent medical condition, according to a relative and police. Orlando Police Chief Orlando Rolón said in a statement that school resource officer Dennis Turner (pictured left) did not obtain the approval of a commanding officer before making the arrests last Thursday. Department policy requires such. “The Orlando Police Department has a policy that addresses the arrest of a minor and our initial finding shows the policy was not followed,” Rolón said. “As a grandparent of three children less than 11 years old this is very concerning to me.” The 6-year-old was charged with battery after she kicked someone at Lucious and Emma Nixon Academy, a K-5th grade charter school. Florida is one of a few states in the country that has no age requirement when it comes to arrests. According to the girl’s grandmother, her behavioral issues stem from sleep apnea. Her arrest was halted by a supervisor and she was returned to school. According to her grandmother, her granddaughter was fingerprinted and even had her mug shot taken. “They told us we had to wait a few minutes because [she] was being fingerprinted, and when she said finger printed it hit me like a ton of bricks,” Kirkland said. “No six year old child should be able to tell somebody that they had handcuffs on them and they were riding in the back of a police car and taken to a juvenile center to be fingerprinted, mug shot” The 8-year-old, who was arrested in a separate incident, was processed and later released to a relative. The story prompted massive outrage on social media. Companies, for the most part, have been trying to figure out how they can help reduce their carbon footprints. PlayStation announced that will be teaming up with the United Nations to make their next console eco-friendly. Announced via the companies blog, Sony Interactive Entertainment’s President & CEO, Jim Ryan will be joining leaders in the gaming industry at the UN Climate Summit. Through a new partnership called the Playing for the Planet alliance, they will all make formal commitments to help contribute to the efforts. Ryan announced that the company will be continuing efforts it started with the PlayStation 4 but taking things a step further with the PS5 . The next-generation console will give owners if they choose to put the console in standby mode at a much lower power consumption than the previous model. Per PlayStation: At SIE, we have made substantial commitments and efforts to reduce the power consumption of the PS4 by utilizing efficient technologies such as System-on-a-Chip architecture integrating a high-performance graphics processor, die shrink, power scaling, as well as energy-saving modes such as Suspend-to-RAM. For context, we estimate the carbon emissions we have avoided to date already amount to almost 16 million metric tons, increasing to 29 million metric tons over the course of the next 10 years (which equals the CO2 emissions for the nation of Denmark in 2017). I am also very pleased to announce the next-generation PlayStation console will include the possibility to suspend gameplay with much lower power consumption than PS4 (which we estimate can be achieved at around 0.5 W). If just one million users enable this feature, it would save equivalent to the average electricity use of 1,000 US homes. The new power-saving setting will be an optional choice for users. Sony is hoping that people who buy the console will decide to think of the planet when powering on their PlayStation 5 consoles. Alright, can we slow down with the remakes and the reboots? According to  Deadline , Barry Michael Cooper’s classic crime movie  New Jack City is getting a reboot at Warner Bros. There’s no director slated to helm the project but  Snowfall fans will be happy because writer  Malcolm M. Mays is attached to write the script. And you know  Snowfall  is arguably the best show on TV, right? The original movie dropped in 1991 with  Mario Van Peebles directing and starred  Wesley Snipes ,  Ice-T ,  Chris Rock ,  Flavor Flav ,  Allen Payne  and more. It spawned classic characters such as Nino Brown and featured Snipes’ Nino Brown as a NYC drug lord during the height of the crack era and Ice-T’s detective going undercover to infiltrate it. Remember The Carter? Remember Rock-a-bye-baby? Remember “Am I my brother’s keeper?” Yeah, that classic. But here’s the question – are you down for a reboot of  New Jack City ? For years, the wrap on the family, namely Kim and Khloe, has been that they have a long history of stealing men from relationships. Kim has been accused of meddling in Kanye and Amber Rose’s relationship. Khloe was accused of stealing French Montana from Trina as well as Tristan Thompson from Jordan Craig. On this week’s edition of Keeping Up With The Kardashians , Kim said she was breaking the “narrative” that this was the case. So what does she do? She calls up French Montana to set things straight. On the phone, French says that he was never with Trina when he was with Khloe. Word? Kim also says she has “receipts” that will prove her innocence in the Amber situation. Interesting.
