From the now infamous Fyre “Hunger Games” Festival to epically failing to get a crowd reaction from basketball fans at a Milwaukee Bucks game , Ja Rule’s post-prison existence has become the proverbial punching bag for 50 Cent to train his social media troll game on. Looking to get out of the funk he’s been drenched in for the past few years, Ja Rule is looking to his past to help him achieve a brighter future a la Marty McFly. Taking to Twitter, Rule York announced his intentions of digging into his prolific catalogue (the man did make hits before 50 Cent blew up and tore him down), and has decided that he’ll be giving each of his countless cuts the visual treatment. “I will be making a video for every song I’ve ever made,” Ja stated in a tweet yesterday morning. Hot New Hip Hop is reporting that Lorenzo is working on a film on the notorious Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff. He announced it during a recent interview with The Outlawz Radio Show . The move seems like a no brainer for the Murder Inc. CEO as he has a longstanding friendship with the convicted felon. So much so his record label suffered due to their alliance when the feds raided their offices for suspicion on money laundering. Page Six is reporting that Anthony Ellison’s defense lawyer Devereaux Cannick told jurors “It’s a Jussie Smollett, if you will” referring to the kidnapping his client is accused of participating in. Cannick went on to tell jurors that Tekashi, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, staged the kidnapping in order to hype the release of his then-forthcoming single “FEFE,” featuring Nicki Minaj. The lawyer claimed Hernandez posted a “diamond-encrusted pendant” to his Instagram account, along with the phrase “somebody come snatch my chain.” For fans who’ve been keeping up with rainbow haired rapper since he broke through with his smash single “Gummo,” part of Tekashi’s troll game was taking to social media and claiming that no one would be able to ever touch him or rob him because his crew was so thorough. In the end it turned out the wolves he boasted about having turned on him and got him themselves, but was it all an act? In today’s age of social media fame and peoples endless pursuit of “likes” we wouldn’t put anything past anybody. Tekashi for his part is set to take the stand as early as today (September 17) and being that he’s facing all kinds of charges of his own you can expect prosecutors to be standing by with a gang of coin roll wrappers for all the dimes he’s expected to drop. Heck, he might bless them with a few extra quarters while putting in his own two pennies.

From Daily Mail : “A Miami swingers club has been ordered to pay nearly $900,000 after it used photos of models clad in bikinis and lingerie without permission to advertise sex parties and partner-swapping. A jury in Florida federal court agreed Monday that Miami Velvet must pay a total of $892,500 to the 32 professional models whose images were used in the exclusive club’s fliers, social media accounts and on its website, according to the  Miami Herald. Miami Velvet is one of the city’s most famous swingers clubs, and allows group sex to occur on its premises. Several of the models who featured in their ads are well known, including Joanna Krupa, who appeared on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and ‘The Real Housewives of Miami’.” According to the site, Krupa was awarded $65,000 in the case. “…while jurors sided with the models, the money awarded to them was far lower than the collective sum of $5.3million which the models were seeking,” Daily Mail continues. “The lawyer for Miami Velvet acknowledged that his clients were responsible for stealing the photographs but argued that the models were demanding too much money.” While it isn’t the sum they were all looking for, Krupa has a baby on the way and an extra $65K can’t hurt!

An unidentified California man has died and the state and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) is making a major push to warn society of the dangers of this newfound past time. California will launch a $20 million ad campaign to warn against the dangers of vaping, Gov. Gavin Newsom announced Monday, the same day health officials said a 40-year-old had died over the weekend from complications related to using e-cigarettes. The CDC’s Emergency Operations Center is investigating over 380 cases of lung disease related to e-cigarettes in order to determine how these products are affecting people’s health. Governor Gavin Newsom is looking to put a cramp in vaping’s potentially fatal style via taxes and other policies that protect children from malignant marketing. As for flavored e-cigarettes, “they should be banned,” Newsom said, adding he could not add that parameter to his order, though he didn’t explain why. “Let’s just dispense with any niceties,” he said. “You don’t have any bubblegum-flavored, mango-flavored tobacco products unless you’re trying to target an audience that you were losing — that’s young people.” What do you think? Barbara Evans Trashes MTV, Wonders: How is Amber Portwood Still a Teen Mom?!?

Barbara Evans made $400,000 as a part-time cast member on Teen Mom last year. In a new interview with Radar Online, the polarizing mother of Jenelle Evans has plenty to say about both her own daughter and also Amber Portwood, but we felt it necessary open with this revealing tidbit. BARBARA EVANS MADE $400,000 FOR ONE SEASON OF TEEN MOM, YOU GUYS. This revelation aside (unless you still need a moment to digest it…), the crux of Barbara’s interview centered on two people and two facts: Her daughter, Jenelle, who was fired by MTV executives this spring after authorities temporarily took away her kids in the wake of David Eason murdering his family’s dog. Portwood, who remains a cast member on Teen Mom OG despite her July 5 arrest for domestic violence. In recently-released audio, we’ve learned over the past few days that Portwood seemingly beat and threatened boyfriend Andrew Glennon on numerous occasions, prompting Barbara to ask a pertinent question: How is she still a Teen Mom star?!? Moreover… how is Amber still a Teen Mom star while Jenelle is not?!? “Why should Jenelle and I lose our money, and why is MTV supporting Amber when Jenelle and I have done nothing wrong?” Barbara asks Radar . “We were on [the show] for 10 years too, and they stopped filming with us.” Adds Barbara, in total consternation: “Why is this fair? Why were we let go, and she wasn’t?” Barbara, of course, has been relevant on Teen Mom for years because she’s been serving as the guardian of Jenelle’s oldest child, Jace. She and Jenelle have had quite the contentious relationship, often arguing over both this custody arrangement  and Jenelle’s past drug use, among other ways and reasons why she’s largely considered an unfit mothre. Does Barbara have a point here? Yes and no. Jenelle absolutely should have been fired for both lying about Eason attacking her last fall and then for allowing her children to grow up in a home that also houses such a violent bigoy. No one can argue with a straight face that Jenelle deserves the platform and/or salary afforded to her by MTV. Now… should Portwood also be fired? In light of her arrest and the subsequent information that has come out about this long-time star? Probably, but one really has nothing to do with the other. It’s also worth noting that Portwood almost definitely WILL be fired anyway . This, despite the following hilarious defense of Amber by an anonymous Radar source: “Amber didn’t kill a dog. And she has not been convicted of a crime.” Techically, Jenelle didn’t kill a dog, either. But point taken. Still, in the aforementioned audio recording that leaked late last week, Amber allegedly exploded at Andrew… with their toddler in the room. Hiw crime? Waking her up for an appointment at 2 p.m. “If you don’t pick him up you f-cking fat piece of sh-t I’m going to f-cking stab you,” she says. “Get your fat ass up and get him.” Yeah. Cokie Roberts Dies; Legendary Journalist Was 75

Sad news out of the world of journalism today. Multiple outlets have now confirmed the death of iconic pundit and author Cokie Roberts. A family spokesperson says Roberts passed away due to complications from breast cancer. She was 75 years old. Roberts was an indispensable figure in the early days of National Public Radio, joining the upstart network as a political commentator in 1978. From there, she helped NPR grow into the institution that it is today, while simultaneously fostering a multimedia career that made her one of the most trusted names in TV news throughout the 1980s and ’90s. Having just one woman at the helm of a major media outlet was unusual in the 1970s. But Roberts helped to spearhead a female-led revolution at NPR. “[W]e called them the Founding Mothers of NPR, or sometimes we called them the Fallopian Club,” said NPR political correspondent Mara Liasson. “It is such a privilege — you have a front seat to history,” she said. Born into a politically-engaged family, Roberts was the daughter of two former U.S. representatives. Though Roberts was the only member of her immediate family not to run for Congress, her incisive reporting and unparalleled ability to translate complex, wonky issues for an audience of millions enabled her to make a unique contribution to the American political landscape. “You do get used to it, and you shouldn’t, because it is a very special thing to be able to be in the room … when all kinds of special things are happening,” Roberts once remarked in an interview. “I do feel strongly that informing the voters about what’s going on, trying to explain it in ways that people can understand and putting the issues out there is a form of participation.” Throughout her career, Roberts was applauded for her objectivity and her fairness in dealing with Democrats and Republicans alike “She liked people on both sides of the aisle and had friends on both sides of the aisle,” renowned journalist George Will told NPR. “If you don’t like the game of politics, I don’t see how you write about it well,” he added. “She liked the game of politics and she understood that it was a game.” These days the media landscape is both more crowded and more divided than ever before. But one common trait you’ll find among the denizens of that increasingly tumultuous world is a profound respect for the work and influence of Cokie Roberts. Saved By the Bell Revival: Confirmed by NBC!!!!!!!!!

ATTENTION, TELEVISION FANS: We don’t know if your teacher recently popped a test or if you’re currently a mess or if your dog ate all your homework last night. We do know, however, that it will be alright regardless… because NBC Universal just dropped some truly incredible news: We’re about to be Saved By the Bell once again! The company made this announcement on Tuesday morning, confirming that an updated version of this memorable sitcom will help anchor its new streaming service, which will somehow be called “Peacock.” The reboot will reportedly star Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley, who dated throughout most of the original seres as their respective characters, A.C. Slater and Jessie Spano. In a truly amazing official logline, NBC says that Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s iconic character, Zack Morris, has gone on to become the govenror  of California. This is what the synopsis says: When California governor Zack Morris gets into hot water for closing too many low-income high schools, he proposes they send the affected students to the highest performing schools in the state — including Bayside High. The influx of new students gives the over privileged Bayside kids a much needed and hilarious dose of reality. Does this mean Gosselaar could make an appearance? You never know — but he’s currently signed on to star as a lead on ABC’s new series Mixed-ish, having just come off Fox’s The Passage, which followed roles on the programs Nobodies and Pitch. Gosselaar has enjoyed a very strong career since Saved By the Bell went off the air. Conversely, Berkley made headlines way back in 1995 for starring as a stripper in the movie Showgirls. She’s done very little since. Lopez, who has hosted Extra and Access Hollywood, among other television shows, hasn’t acted in ages — but did recently stir up controversy for some homophobic remarks . As for other original cast members? Tiffani Thiessen has gone on to a strong career and is unlikely to want to reprise the role of Kelly Kapowski, while Dustin Diamond is now best known for having starred in a sex tape and for getting arrested a lot . And Lark Voorhies appears to have some mental problems . Saved by the Bell originally aired on NBC from 1989 to 1993. It cented on on a group of friends as they navigated life at Bayside High School and the cast included: Berkley (as Jessie Spano), Lopez (as A.C Slater), Gosselaar (as Zack Morris), Thiessen (as Kelly Kapowski), Voorhies (as Lisa Turtle), Diamond (as Screech) and Dennis Haskins (as principal Mr. Belding). An eventual movie was made of the sitcom, along with a very brief run of the Saturday morning series as a primetime show where Zack, Slater and company went to the same college. It didn’t exactly fare very well. And yet, in the wake of this revival news and in honor of Berkley’s Spano during her addiction to caffeine pills: We’re not even scared. We’re just SO excited!

Emily Simpson Beware: Shane Accused of Abuse, Drug Addiction by Ex-Wife

Some marriages don’t need the alleged “reality TV curse” to fall apart, but it sure seems to help. Tensions between Emily Simpson and her husband grew worse when he failed the bar exam back in January. Things clearly need to change. But now disturbing, violent details are leaking about Shane’s previous marriage that have fans fearing for Emily’s safety. RadarOnline got their hands on Orange County Superior Court documents dating back to 2008. That was the year of Shane Simpson’s bitter divorce from his ex-wife, Miriam. Unfortunately, their dispute was much more serious than a botched bar exam. Shane was accused of physically, sexually, and emotionally abusing his now ex-wife during their marriage. The allegations are right there in the court documents. In a declaration after filing or divorce, Miriam wrote: “He was physically abusive to me.” “He was sexually abusive to me,” her accusations continued. Those are already just about the most serious accusations that you can level at another human being. She also alleged that Shane was “addicted to prescription medications” during their marriage. Miriam reported that the “stress” had such a detrimental effect upon her health that she felt  “near death.” Miriam’s full statement explains that much more clearly. “He used and took prescription medications of others to quell his habit,” Miriam wrote. We think that she means that his hope was to hide his alleged habit from discovery. More personally, Miriam accused: “He made me feel trapped and hopeless.” She said that these feelings came “as a result of excessive control and lack of liberties placed upon me…” “Because of all the aforementioned abuse, stress, and circumstances,” Miriam continued. “I became physically ill.” The allegations that she leveled against Shane in 2008 could certainly cause someone to have numerous physical symptoms. She shared: “after months of diagnostic tests, blood transfusions, and other medical procedures …” “… Not only was I diagnosed with blood disorders caused by stress …” Miriam accused. She revealed: “My body was what seems to be near death and I had no choice but to leave.” Court records do not specify whether Miriam called the police for help or to file a criminal complaint against Shane. But we know, of course, that most abuse victims do not report their abusers. There is a record of Shane’s own declaration filed in the divorce. “In November 2007, Mother [Miriam] went to Utah with our children for the Thanksgiving weekend and never returned to California,” he wrote. “She filed for a dissolution of our marriage,” he noted. “At that time, Mother refused to allow me visitation with our children.” “For approximately one month after she moved to Utah,” he accused. “I did not know where our children were and was not allowed to visit with them.” What may be astonishing is that, these days, Miriam and Shane seem to get along well. They share a 50/50 split of custody of their children. (Shane also has children with Emily, of course) Insiders describe them as amicable. This does not either confirm or deny the allegations against Shane, but … is anyone going to look at him the same way after reading all of that? Teresa Giudice: I’m Leaving Joe Whether He Gets Deported or Not!

After months of legal wrangling, the fate of Joe Giudice will soon be decided. Giudice has been held in an ICE detention center ever since his release from prison back in March. After serving his time for tax evasion, Giudice was marked for deportation back to his native Italy. While he was born in Europe, the former reality star has been living in the US since early childhood, and he claims to not speak a word of Italian. Joe’s entire family — including his wife and four daughters — lives in New Jersey, and he’s told the court that he feels he would be unable to earn a living in Italy. Giudice was not exactly a beloved figure during his time on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, but his current situation has engendered a surprising amount of compassion. Unfortunately for Joe, none of that sympathy comes from his wife, Teresa Giudice. From the start, Teresa has made it clear that she’ll divorce Joe if he gets deported. As his case became increasingly desperate and plea after plea was denied, Teresa went ahead and started acting like she was already single. These days, Teresa is dating a much younger man named Blake Schreck , and insiders are convinced she’s planning to divorce Joe whether he gets deported or not. “Joe’s family believes that Teresa is going to file for divorce no matter what,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online. “Teresa is going to file for divorce from Joe regardless of what the outcome is,” says a different insider. “Joe’s family knows this. Everyone knows this. She has tasted her freedom and she isn’t going to return to him.” Seemingly in confirmation of these claims, Teresa has stopped attending Joe’s court hearings. A spokesperson for the Real Housewife claims that she and Schreck are nothing more than business partners: “This is a working business relationship between two professionals,” says the rep. “They are collectively working on a project that includes other individuals and have been for quite some time. It’s 100 percent strictly business.” You’ll note, however, he does not deny that she’s planning to leave Joe. But while there’s been no confirmation or denial from Teresa’s camp, the fact remains that while her husband is fighting for his right to remain in this country, she’s in Miami partying with a 26-year-old. “Teresa won’t be able to be reined in and Joe’s family knows that,” says one insider. “Joe’s family is preparing for the worst,” the source continues. “They’re convinced it won’t be good news and they blame Teresa for everything.” And as Joe’s legal team runs out of options, his family has started bracing themselves for bad news. “They’re very afraid that his request will be denied, and they won’t be able to see him in person in the U.S. again,” says the insider. It’s an undeniably sad situation. But hey — we guess if Joe gets deported, that’ll spare Teresa an uncomfortable conversation.
