Kawhi Leonard’s Sister Allegedly Beat 84-Year-Old To Death In Robbery Attempt

Source: FREDERIC J. BROWN / Getty The sister of Los Angeles Clippers ‘ forward Kawhi Leonard is being accused of beating an 84-year-old woman to death at Temecula casino last week according to authorities. Kimesha Monae Williams, 35, and another woman were arrested for an August 31 attack that took place at the Pechanga Resort. Per NBC Los Angeles Kimesha Monae Williams, 35, was one of two women arrested in the Aug. 31 attack at the Pechanga Resort.  Authorities said that Williams and Candance Tai Townsell, 39, followed Afaf Anis Assad, 84, into the bathroom of the casino. They then beat her and robbed her, officials said. Deputies found Assad unconscious. She died Wednesday in the hospital.   Williams and Townsell were booked on suspicion of assault resulting in great bodily injury, conspiracy, robbery, and elder abuse.  Due to investigators learning of Williams relationship with Leonard, Riverside authorities announced her bail was “enhanced” to $1 million. This is definitely not the news the Klaw was expecting to hear regarding his name with the 2019-20 NBA season quickly approaching. Leonard packed his bags and headed back to his hometown of Los Angeles, California to join the Clippers after winning a championship with the Toronto Raptors in the 2019 NBA Finals. — Photo: FREDERIC J. Kanye West Took His Sunday Service Show to Chicago

Read the original post:

Source: Splash / Splash News After giving Los Angeles and Ohio a taste of his once-private musical gospels, Kanye West finally got around to taking his Sunday Service show to his hometown of Chicago this past weekend and sure enough fans lined up outside Chicago’s Huntington Pavilion to receive the Holy Ghost courtesy of Yeezus. With hardcore Yeezy fans braving the rainy weather outside of the arena hoping to catch a glimpse of the man of the house, Kanye West eventually made his way through the mob of aficionados to take the stage and energize the congregation by performing his classics “Jesus Walks” (of course) and “Ultralight Beam.” Though the chances of Yeezy officially opening at Sunday Service church in Chicago is slim to none, but according to Billboard the musical director did tell the Chi-Town crowd “We’ll see you soon.” Who knows what they have planned for the future in Chicago but Lord knows having Kanye spreading positivity in his hometown is sorely needed especially at a time when gun violence in Chiraq has become a part of everyday life in some places. Man Scams Women Out Of $2.1 Million Using Online Dating Sites

See the rest here:

Source: Owen Franken / Getty Various online daters were the victims of a stone cold scammer who pocketed $2.1 million. According to USA Today , a New Jersey man named Rubbin Sarpong allegedly conspired to scam more than 30 people out of money using false U.S. military identities. He appeared in Camden federal court last Wednesday on one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, according to U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito.  Court documents say that from January 2016 to September 2019, Sarpong and several co-conspirators — many who live in Ghana — reportedly started dating profiles on a number of sites using fake or stolen identities. They posed as U.S. military personnel stationed overseas who needed non-existent gold bars shipped to a U.S. location. Their story explained that military personnel in Syria were awarded in gold bars. “They contacted victims through the dating websites and then pretended to strike up a romantic relationship with them, wooing them with words of love,” reads the criminal complaint. In order to ship the nonexistent gold bars, the conspirators asked their newly wooed lovers for money and they explained that they would reimburse the victims once the gold bars arrived in the U.S. In one instance, a conspirator insisted that he was a U.S. soldier stationed in Syria who had secured bars worth $12 million and needed assistance bringing them over. He sent a woman a false airway bill showing that two trunks with “family treasure” would be sent to her. He included a fake United Nations Identity Card that identified him as a UN delivery agent and an Israeli citizen. The woman wired him more than $93,000 and they had plans to rendezvous at the Baltimore/Washington International Airport on June 13, 2018. The following day, she died by suicide. Investigators say that Sarpong and his accomplices used various email accounts and Voice Over Internet protocol phone numbers to communicate with victims and tell them where to wire money. Every now and then, victims would also send money via personal and cashier’s checks. After payments were received, the funds were withdrawn in cash, wired to other domestic bank accounts and wired to conspirators in Ghana. The ultimate scam. Sarpong was even bold enough to flaunt his earnings on social media, according to authorities. He was found posting picture of himself with large wads of cash, high-end cars and expensive jewelry. At one point in March 2017, he even posted a photo of himself lounging in a car with a stack of money up to his ear like a cellphone with the caption that read “WakeUp With 100k… One Time. Making A phone Call To Let My Bank Know Am Coming.” He also posted a photo of himself with an unidentified male back in December 2018, writing “BigBusiness Done…Now We Waiting For The Checks To Clear,” according to authorities. Sarpong reportedly received $823,386 throughout the whole scheme. Now, he faces a $250,000 fine and up to 20 years in prison, according to Carpenito.

Swae Lee’s Ex Arrested After Allegedly Headbutting Rapper

Source: Paras Griffin / Getty Putting hands on someone is wrong , and it goes both ways. Swae Lee ‘s ex-girlfriend was arrested after allegedly headbutting the Rae Sremmurd rapper. She hit him with the hands too, and she was put in cuffs. According to TM Z, Swae and his ex, Marliesia Ortiz, had an argument outside of crib near Los Angeles in early August and things got so heated she reported started throwing stuff at him. She eventually put hands on him, and headbutted him, before security got her out the paint. This is when the struggle rises, exponentially. According to the cops, it was Ortiz who called 911, claiming Swae sexually assaulted her. However, when the cops arrived, she changed her story, and even admitted to throwing items. Despite claiming Swae had strangled her, the cops decided to arrest Ortiz. These two might want to stay clear of each other. Just saying. View this post on Instagram Rapper #SwaeLee’s now ex girlfriend #MarliesiaOrtiz just shared a FaceTime call she had with him after she says he cheated. He basically tried to convince her she needed to just be a “down b*tch for him” and push through being treated like sh*t because she’s “going to be his wife one day.” He said all this while blasting #GucciMane and #ChanceTheRapper about their marriages. Put your F**kboi Free earmuffs on, you’re going to need them. Marliesia says she’s done for good this time…… A post shared by TheYBF (@theybf_daily) on Mar 22, 2019 at 1:38pm PDT

Named Ms. Ashley Stewart in the brand’s annual Finding Ashley Stewart pageant Flammer has had her face plastered in store windows, magazines ads, and headline stories all over the internet but she appreciates its presence the most in her classroom. In an exclusive interview, the unlikely model talked to HelloBeautiful about her plans to expand her modeling career beyond her tenure and inspire others to be confident in the process. She went on to reveal that her lack of success in that competition alst prevented her from taking home her crown. “I didn’t make that, and I knew it was gonna be the same people that were judging that so I was like ‘They didn’t pick me before, why would they pick me now?” Commissioned by Ashley Stewart The deciding factor in her putting herself out there again was encouragement from her local store manager. An avid shopper with a reputation for having great personal style Flamer had become close with the person who often watch her twirl around the chain’s pink clad dressing rooms. “She said, ‘I think you should do it, just do it. Just give it a chance,” said Flamer. I can wear that, because I look like that,” she said. She added that she wanted them to think, “That will look bomb on me.” Even with a huge campaign under her belt, a growing social media following and a clip of Loni Love yelping out her name on the internet, she has not been able to lock down a modeling agent, a task that is seemingly simpler for the young women in the shallower end of the plus-size pool. “I notice that a lot of the agencies who represent plus size models the models are on the smaller end,” she pointed out. “In the media they consider anything a size 10 and up, but their models are usually on the smaller end. They’re size 10 and size 12 they’re not your 14s and 16s and 18s,” she continued. “I definitely want to continue modeling, I am looking to sign and I’m hoping that will be a possibility for me, hopefully they can take me as I am.” If they don’t, we will. Tenisha Light-Caba Of Brooklyn Bleu Is Making High-End Vintage Jewelry Affordable For All

Source: Victoria Uwumarogie / HB From the moment I stepped in Brooklyn Bleu , I was impressed. Actually, make that the moment I grabbed the door handle. Even from outside, I could tell that I wasn’t stepping into your ordinary vintage jewelry spot. When I entered, I felt like embraced, not only by the woman who greeted me at the door, but also by the atmosphere. There were splashes of pink, lots of gold, and the sounds of women fawning over shining jewels. The woman behind this dream of a shopping experience is Tenisha Light-Caba. The entrepreneur, who stood in the midst of all of the excitement in a jean Fenty dress , lucite heels and her own vintage Chanel earrings and gold link bracelets fashioned into anklets, started the business in 2010. However, she has been selling vintage jewelry since she was a kid living in California. “I had rummage sales every weekend, making money selling my grandmother’s jewelry,” she told me. “Then it became my chore to clean another grandmother’s jewelry. One would let me make money at the rummage sales selling the jewelry right in front of the house. I would set up a little table, but I wasn’t selling lemonade, I was selling jewelry.” View this post on Instagram Show me Love, Keep all Those Other Vibes for Yourself! Wearing #chanel #vintage #lindaevangelista #1993 #chanelbelt @brooklynbleuny A post shared by Brooklyn Bleu (@brooklynbleuny) on Dec 17, 2018 at 3:11pm PST She’s long past the days of getting her pieces from her grandmother. Nowadays, Tenisha works with private collectors who’ve been in the business for decades to pull together her one-of-a-kind collection, which she’s been able to put in her new store located in The Oculus , otherwise known as Westfield World Trade Center in Manhattan. “I tend to like to work with the same people. This is how I’m able to get my hands on the good stuff. I take care of them, they take care of me,” she said. “They have a lot. They have more than what I could ever afford to buy. Where they get it from? Who knows.” Her collection has expanded greatly, taking her from her early beginnings of selling in a brownstone, moving on to Chelsea Market, to eventually having her own space, one of the few minority-owned businesses in the Oculus. “We first started our business in a historic brownstone in Brooklyn,” she said of her journey. “I’ve never had the space. I’ve usually worked at an artisan market. This is the biggest space I’ve ever had. This gives me a chance to really shine, have lighting and really make it my own.” It hasn’t been an easy journey, but it’s been a successful one. During her days working at markets like Artists & Fleas and Top Shop on 5th Avenue, Tenisha broke records for her sales. “I worked,” she said. “I put the work in. It’s been so many things that happened in the world over the past 10 years and in that time, I’ve had my business full time. I’m independently funded. I don’t have investors. Now I have payroll and I have employees.” Source: Victoria Uwumarogie / HB What you’ll find at the store is pieces dating back from the ’30s and ’40s. Items from big name fashion houses like Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel, as well as daintier, unique items from all over. The good news is, everything is affordable, but there are items specific to every wallet. For instance, she has inexpensive earrings and necklaces from the ’70s, her “Dainty” and “Re.Fresh” collections. They are old stock that she received from a collector who had a wholesale business in the 1970s, and she replated everything to give it a fresh look. They are being sold between the $20-$40 range. The wide-ranging prices are part of Tenisha’s hope to make people from all walks vintage fans — and welcome when they visit Brooklyn Bleu. “I want people to feel welcomed, to feel like they’re at home. I want them to feel comfortable and good — just as good when they leave,” she said. “That’s the experience they get when they walk through the door, that’s how people treat them, that’s courtesy. That’s being professional and knowing what you have to offer as well. I have to train and work really hard with my staff too so they can pass on that same experience.” She also wants people to know that Brooklyn Bleu will be flexible. If you get a piece and for some reason you need to return it (allergies, any other unexpected issue), she welcomes it back. Source: Victoria Uwumarogie / HB “If someone’s not happy with the piece, it doesn’t make me happy for them to have it,” she said. “I’d rather get it in the hands of someone who’s going to really enjoy it.” With that being said, it’s rare for such a thing to happen with Tenisha’s collection of pieces. You’ll understand when you step in the space and find yourself mesmerized by the statement necklaces, quirky rings, avante-garde earrings, delightful vintage mirrors and ornate bags. Especially at the cost. “It’s important to offer pieces that are accessible and vintage,” she said. “When I go to a place and it feels like everything is just too expensive, it’s like, ‘I thought I was making good money! I can’t even afford this.’ I didn’t ever want people to feel that in here — and they don’t. We have customers who take four and five pieces. Most customers take more than one item.” Brooklyn Bleu is now open and officially located at The Oculus World Trade Center: Church Street, New York, NY 10006
