FaceApp Conspiracy?: Russians Now Own All Your Old Photos & Information

Source: MStudioImages / Getty Faceapp had social media going crazy over the past week with people posting pictures of what they would look like as seniors.  It even started a viral hashtag called the #faceappchallenge but now people who participated may have voluntarily given their information to Russians. Experts are concerned about the privacy and security of the app and it’s permissions and what it could be collecting from it’s users.  Basically if you have the app the Russians who created the app can now have access to your personal information and identity which could pose a problem on many levels. Via NYPost: But be warned: FaceApp, which you grant permission to access your photo gallery, also includes in their Terms and Conditions that they have the right to modify, reproduce and publish any of the images you process through its AI. That means that your face could end up being commercialized — or worse. UK-based Digitas strategist James Whatley said on Twitter, “You grant FaceApp a perpetual, irrevocable… royalty-free… license to use, adapt, publish, distribute your user content… in all media formats… when you post or otherwise share.” That means they can also use your real name, your username or “any likeness provided” in any format without notifying, much less paying, you. They can retain that material as long as they want, even after you delete the app, and you won’t be able to stop them. Even those who set their Apple iOS photo permissions to “never,” as  Tech Crunch points

Iowa Public Official Fired After Shouting Out Tupac In A Company Email To 4,300 Employees

Source: Al Pereira / Getty We may have found the biggest Tupac fan in the Midwest. And no, it’s not who you think it is. The Associated Press reports that 66-year-old Jerry Foxhoven , formerly Iowa’s Department of Human Services Director, was let go from his job after sending a Tupac-referencing email to all 4,300 of the agency’s employees. Now, other folks had complained about Foxhoven’s Tupac themed emails before and according to company documents, Foxhoven released about 350 pages worth of emails with the words “Tupac” or “2Pac” sent to and from him during his two years at the Department. Want your mind blown? This, is Jerry Foxhoven. He would host “Tupac Fridays” parties in the office, traded lyrics with employees and marked his own 65th birthday with a Shakur-themed party, complete with “Thug Life” decorated on the cookies. All in all, Foxhoven seemed to be inspired by the “So Many Tears” rapper, telling colleagues that he was inspired by lyrics that included: “it’s time for us as a people to start makin’ some changes.” Foxhoven’s final email told his co-workers to celebrate Father’s Day  and Tupac’s birthday (June 16th) by listening to tracks like “Changes” and “Ambitionz Az A Ridah” among others. The next day, Iowa governor Kim Reynolds told him to resign. Yeah, all because HE didn’t forget about Pac, even if some employees didn’t care for the slain rapper. But, nobody knows for certain why Foxhoven was let go from his position. And according to Iowa law, state agencies are required to release the “documented reasons and rationale” when employees resign instead of being terminated. “As the governor has said, a lot of factors contributed to the resignation of Jerry Foxhoven and now Gov. Reynolds is looking forward to taking DHS in a new direction,” spokesman Pat Garrett said. Police Warn Public About Meth-Head Gators … And It Didn’t Happen In Florida!

It looks like Crystal Methvin’s chickens have come home to roost. (We joke — despite her name, Ms. Methvin has no connection to this story) But police in Tennessee are warning about how the public can prevent hoardes of methed up ‘gators from terrorizing the countryside. Pro-tip: don’t dump your meth down the toilet. The Loretta Police Department in Tennessee “attempting to flush methamphetamine along with several items of paraphernalia.” “When you send something down the sewer pipe,” police remind people. “It ends up in our retention ponds.” This is where it remains “for processing before it is sent down stream.” “Our sewer guys take great pride in releasing water that is cleaner than what is in the creek,” law enforcement affirms.  “But,” the Loretta Police Department admits. “They are not really prepared for meth.” Who is ? What has investigators particularly concerned is how far downstream methamphetamines might pollute the water. “it would create meth-gators in Shoal Creek and the Tennessee River down in North Alabama,” police fear. “They’ve had enough methed up animals the past few weeks without our help,” the statement casually laments. “So,” the police joke. “If you need to dispose of your drugs just give us a call.” “And,” the department promises. “We will make sure they are disposed of in the proper way.” First of all, very cute ending your PSA with a reminder that you’re not actually offering someone a solution that won’t involve their arrest. Whoever was trying to dump a bunch of meth was probably just trying to hide it from the police in the first place. But obviously, that wasn’t the eye-catching part of this bonkers story. So casually, the police mention animals strung out on meth causing problems. And then they mention meth-gators. Around 2015, Syfy started producing actual genre content again instead of operating their business model on some wild dare. But we have to guess that someone, somewhere is currently churning out a treatment for “Meth Gators” or something similar. (Personally, I prefer Methigator — a longer word but it reads easily) The idea of hordes of rampaging, meth-fueled gators frenzying through, say, a small town? I’d spend an afternoon daydrinking and watching that. Throw in some other meth-frenzied animals as a bonus and you could have the set up for a whole new franchise. Sharknado who??? On a less entertaining note, this story is a grim reminder of how much humans unwittingly dump into our environment every single day. “Flushable” wipes should never be flushed. The same goes for condoms and hair. Oh, and for meth . Scientists are only just now beginning to understand the role that microplastics are playing in the environment, but it’s nothing good. We all have to live our lives, even if we sometimes cringe at the thought of our carbon footprints. But the least that we can do is not deliberately introduce dangrous chemicals into the water. I don’t actually know what a meth-crazed alligator would be like. It would in part depend upon the dosage and the gator’s size. Alligators naturally have very slow metabolisms. I did come across a case of a massive python that was not only dosed with but addicted to methamphetamines. The drugs in its system, absorbed through its skin, made it more aggressive, confused, and erratic than normal. The python required six weeks of detoxification. So yeah, for the sake of whoever would have to run Gator Rehab, let’s avoid flushing meth.

Amber Portwood: Should She Lose Custody of Her Son?

Shortly after Amber Portwood was arrested for domestic violence this month, our staff members debated a seemingly important question as it related to the Teen Mom OG star: Should she be fired? We asked this same question to our readers as well. You can see those results HERE . Now, however, we’re being forced to confront an actually important question: Should Amber Portwood actually lose custody of her 14-month old son? This topic is pertinent because new details have emerged in regard to Amber’s arrest; namely that she’s accused of wielding a machete while trying to break into her home’s bathroom in order to continue her (alleged) attack against boyfriend Andrew Glennon… … who was holding the couple’s child, James, in his arms at the time. YIKES, right? Glennon feared his life and his toddler’s life were both in danger and he has since filed for full custody of James. So this question isn’t some hypothetical. It’s an issue that will soon be taken up by a judge in court. Before the first custody hearing takes place, however, we’ve posed the above question – Should Amber Portwood Lose Custody of Her 14-month Old Son?   – to our writers and reporters and we’ve shared their responses below… View Slideshow: Andrew Glennon: Fighting For Sole Custody of Son Following Amber Portwood Attack! YES by Tyler Johnson Yes, Amber Portwood deserves to lose custody of her child. I’m aware that she’s battled mental illness and many who are close to the troubled Teen Mom OG star swear they’ve witnessed considerable improvement in recent years. But assaulting your significant other with a deadly weapon would be a dealbreaker even if it were the first time that Amber had ever engaged in this sort of behavior. We know it’s not, of course, as Portwood’s violent tendencies have resulted in numerous brushes with the law over the years. It’s always a sad thing when a child is taken away from his mother. However, for the time being, at least, Amber’s mental state has rendered her incapable of providing a safe and stable environment for any child. Hopefully, Andrew Glennon will be reasonable and allow his ex regular visits with her son. But whatever the case, Amber clearly has a long way to go before she’s capable of being a full-time parent again. NO by Free Britney Jenelle Evans has custody of her kids, so how can Amber not? On second thought, that doesn’t make any sense and isn’t a good example at all. Changing my position. Please hold. YES by Free Britney Anytime a person’s partner calls 911 to report a machete-wielding maniac, children probably shouldn’t be exposed to such an environment for the foreseeable future. YES by Simon Delott I know that Amber has people on her side. Some fans think that a child’s place is with their mother, no matter what — and they aren’t kidding about that last part. They may argue that she’ll “learn her lesson,” whatever that means, after this Andrew Glennon incident. My question, though, is this: What lesson could this possibly teach that Amber could not have learned from her previous criminal history, which included actual time served in jail? Amber had her chance to learn. She apparently didn’t glean much from it. Why throw away another chance on her? Especially because this isn’t about whether or not she deserves the happiness of motherhood or whatever. This is about what is best for baby James, who deserves his best shot in life. Someone who allegedly beats and batters their loved one while that loved one is holding a child is not a fit parent — or a good parent. Sometimes, the best way to escape from vicious cycles that get passed down in families is just to escape from toxic members of the family itself. James deserves a real life in a safe and loving environment. That’s what matters. NO by Hilton Hater I base my answer around this literal question: Should Portwood lose custody of James? As in: Should she permanently lose custody of her very young son? This is not some casual topic about which one should speculate or ruminate based on a few celebrity gossip website headlines. This may seem obvious to state, but it’s a really huge deal to take a child away from his or her biological mother. Such a legal decision can only be made under the most dire or extreme circumstances. My colleagues above all argue that allegedly using a giant sword as part of an attack against one’s significant other, with one’s infant kid very much caught up in the middle, would qualify as dire or extreme . But I have two counters here: 1. Portwood has been diagnosed as bipolar. 2. She has no history of violence against her kids. And the Winner is? YES! Click Here To Vote for YES! NO! Click Here To Vote for NO! Following her latest arrest, you tell us: Should Amber Portwood lose custody of her young son? View Poll » Both of these points are relevant when talking about the extreme step of stripping her custody away entirely. Yes, she needs to go to therapy. Yes, she probably needs to go to jail. Yes, she must share custody with Glennon. And, yes, she absolutely needs to be fired from Teen Mom so she no longer faces the pressure of answering to fans or cameramen. I’m by no means advocating to simply shrug off this arrest or the incident that preceded it. I’m simply sharing the compromises available in this situation, the alternative ways in which James can be kept safe… Amber can receive the help she clearly needs… and yet she can do so while remaining an integral part of her son’s life. Because, let’s face it, it’s easy to read a few articles, leap up on to a soapbox and proclaim that Portwood should stay as far away from her kid as possible. But it’s a lot harder to put this opinion into practice — as it should be. There’s a reason why judges are the ones who must make these very difficult decision, not content creators who sit at home all day and think they know best. No offense, fellas. I still love you.

Joe Giudice Files Desperate Final Appeal: It’s the BANK’S Fault I Committed Fraud!

Desperate times call for desperate measures, and no one is more desperate these days than reality-star-turned-inmate Joe Giudice. The husband of Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, Joe was found guilty on fraud charges along with his wife back in 2015. At this point, the sentences have been served, but for Joe, the punishment might be just getting started. A citizen of Italy (Joe was born in the village of Saronno, but his family relocated to Jersey when he was just a year old.), Giudice is facing deportation for his crimes. Giudice says he knows nothing of Italy and doesn’t even speak the language. Furthermore, Teresa Giudice has no plans to join her husband overseas, so the move would likely have quite an impact on Joe’s marriage, as well as his relationship with his four daughters. We say all of this simply to explain why someone would fight tooth and nail to avoid being kicked out of New Jersey. Anyway, as we reported yesterday, Joe received an extension on his final appeal , which is huge, as he recently earned the support of a high-powered advocacy group called the Immigrant Rights Clinic of Washington Square Legal Services (IRC). With the IRC in his corner, Joe is trying a new tactic. Basically, this is that part of the legal drama where the underdog client meets the hot-shot lawyer who vows to put the system on trial. While Joe’s previous lawyers attempted to convince the court that he shouldn’t be kicked out of the country because he’s lived here for basically his entire life, his new legal team is arguing that he never should have been sent to prison in the first place, as he’s essentially a modern-day Robin Hood. Giudice’s lawyers now claim that Joe is not guilty of “aggravated felony” (the charge that serves as the basis for deportation) because he scammed Wells Fargo, a bank that previously issued loans in a way that “amounted to consumer fraud.” “Here the Petitioner will show that a bank legally compelled to forgive a fraudulently made loan should not be held to have suffered a loss from fraud,” Joe’s attorneys wrote in a brief filed earlier this week. Yes, Team Giudice is now arguing that this was essentially crook-on-crook crime, and Joe and Teresa never should have been imprisoned in the first place. “Proceedings were incorrectly instituted, and should have been terminated,” the lawyers say of the Giudices original criminal trial. Even if that swing for the fences doesn’t pay off, Joe might find himself receiving some much-needed mercy from the court. His lawyers are employing several strategies in their final push to keep him in the States, including reminding the judge that he’s spent the past several decades building a life in the Garden State. “He married his wife Teresa, a United States citizen, on October 23. 1999. The couple has four children, all born in the United States,” the papers stated. Aside from calling Bruce Springsteen, Tony Soprano, and Chris Christie as surprise character witnesses, we’re not sure what else Joe can do to conv View Slideshow: Teresa Giudice: Filing For Divorce Once Joe Gets Deported?! ince the judge he deserves to remain in Jersey.

Nicole Nafziger: DUMPED by Azan When She Ran Out of Cash?

Fans have been concerned for years that Azan Tefou, whose real name is Hassan, is just stringing along Nicole Nafziger. Viewers of this latest season of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? haven't exactly been reassured by the content of Season 4. The plan remains the same: Nicole will embark on an expensive trip, meet up with Azan, and eventually bring him to the US with her. Nicole keeps showing a lot of eagerness. Azan, from what 90 Day Fiance viewers have seen, has not. After their latest mysteriously canceled trip, fans have been reporting that Azan is finally done catfishing her. Not because he had a moral wakeup call — but because she ran out of cash to send him. Is it true? Take a look: 1. Is it over? A lot of fans want to see Nicole get her happily ever after, but some of her supporters are less and less sure that she can get that with Azan. No matter how you feel about them as a couple, if this new breakup rumor about them is true, it’s going to be huge for the fandom. 2. First, they tried 90 Day Fiance Nicole apparently signed up because she thought that the show might help with the K-1 visa process. Nope! Where’s the drama in that? The paperwork (and it is expensive) remains the American spouse’s job. 3. That didn’t work Nicole says that men Azan’s age are not having any luck getting K-1 visas. Young Muslim men having trouble getting into the US is pretty believable, unfortunately. That said … this is the same couple who claims that Morocco doesn’t allow money to be sent out, which does not appear to be true. 4. The plan is still to live in America It’s just that that plan now involves extra steps, beyond those of the K-1 visa. 5. So they’ll get married in Morocco! That’s what Nicole and Azan tried to do, only to call off the wedding … twice. Nicole’s family is in less good humor about losing out travel money than Nicole herself. 6. Nicole promised that she’d made a careful investment She told her fans and family alike that she’d given Azan $6,000 so that he could start a shop in Morocco. It was a very vaguely defined store, and people worried that she was being scammed. Nicole’s intention was to put people at ease because they were laying the groundwork for their future together. Kylie Jenner & Travis Scott: Working On Baby #2! Planning a Wedding! [Report]

Looks like a sibling for Stormi will soon be on the way! After months of rumors,  People magazine (generally a reliable source on all things Kar-Jenner clan) is reporting today that Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott are officially working on having a second child! As if that weren’t exciting enough, an insider tells the magazine that Kylie and Travis are planning to get married , as well! The source says that while Kylie is “very happy with her life” the way it is now, she’s very much looking forward to the major changes that lie ahead. “Kylie loves being a mom and can’t wait to give Stormi a sibling,” the insider says. “Everyone thinks Kylie will be pregnant with her second baby soon. They are trying.” Reports that Kylie is pregnant with her second child have been circulating pretty much since the time Stormi was born, but this is the first time a credible source has claimed that the cosmetics mogul is actively trying for a second child. Of course, the other persistent rumor of the past year has been the claim that Kylie and Travis are engaged . While the insider stops just short of claiming that Scott has popped the question, she confirms that the couple is planning to tie the knot sooner rather than later. “She and Travis are discussing marriage,” the source claims. (it may seem a bit presumptuous of us to use the feminine pronoun, but when a Kardashian source goes this in-depth with a credible publication, we just assume it’s Kris Jenner.) Anyway, Kylie has been open for quite some time about the fact that she hopes to give Stormi a sibling soon. And based on her recent Instagram activity, it seems she’s hoping for another girl. When a fan commented on one of her pics, “Perfect lil family now give Stormi a brother,” Kylie replied, “Sister!!” “I do want to have more — when, is the question,” Kylie told James Charles in a recent makeup tutorial video. “Like, I want seven girls and then maybe I’ll consider having a boy.” Kylie added that becoming a mother has made her “really feel like this is always what I was meant to do.” Well, she certainly got an early start! And as the world’s youngest self-made billionaire , Kylie can afford to have as many kids as she wants! Congratulations may be a bit premature at this point, but we’ll go ahead and offer ’em up, anyway! After all, when does Kylie set her mind to something and not do it? 13 TV Reboots That Should Never Have Happened

Some shows are meant to stay dead.  But with creativity at an all-time low in Hollywood, networks are banking on reboots of former successful shows to bring in a crowd.  For the most part, reboots suck.  These 13 shows forever tarnished the names of the shows that came before them.      1. 90210 – The CW The CW always seems to have reboots in the works. One of the earlier ones, 90210, was lackluster from start to finish. It had appearances from a select few original series stars, but it was too melodramatic to take seriously. It ended after five seasons after ratings collapsed. 2. Murphy Brown – CBS From the get-go, there was a dark cloud hanging over the Candice Bergen-fronted Murphy Brown. It was never a stellar ratings performer, and the show was not as talked about as the likes of Roseanne. When it premiered, the ratings were paltry and the reviews were just as bad. The only good thing is that much of the show’s original cast returned, but the show was not as good as it was back in the day. It was canceled after just one season. 3. Heroes: Reborn – NBC Heroes suffered from terrible writing and low ratings in its final two seasons, leading NBC to cancel the series after four seasons. To the surprise of many, it returned several years later in the form of Heroes: Reborn, with a largely new cast. It suffered from the same problems the original series had: Bad writing. It was canceled after one season. 4. Charmed – The CW The original Charmed was a huge success, but the reboot decided to ditch everything that came before it and the result was a TV show that felt like a low budget imitation. Despite horrible ratings, The CW renewed it for a second season. 5. Dynasty – The CW The CW’s take on Dynasty suffers as a result of a limited budget. It mostly sticks to the same sets every week, and is saddled with predictable plots, and has very little resemblance to the original series. Additionally, the cast seems to be changing on a weekly basis. It should never have been a thing. 6. Charlie’s Angels – ABC A decent cast was squandered with terrible dialog and even worse plotting. The series paled in comparison to the original series and even the two terrible movies. View Slideshow

Kylie Jenner on Anxiety, Losing Friends: Nothing Can Stop My Destiny!

Kylie Jenner may be busy as a billionaire makeup mogul and a single mom, but she still knows how to clap back hard when she needs to. She also still knows how to open up to her social media fans and followers about her life and her feelings. In an emotional new post, Kylie is opening up about anxiety, losing friends, and living her entire life in the spotlight. Kylie Jenner shared this beautiful photo of her silhouette and of the breathtaking sunset over the water. “I’m proud of myself, my heart, and my strength,” Kylie affirms as her captions begin. She reflects upon how “growing up in the light with a million eyes on you just isn’t normal.” She’s right about that. “I’ve lost friends along the way,” Kylie admits. “And,” Kylie writes. “I’ve lost myself too sometimes.” She then talks about what she has done to stay grounded. “My first tattoo was ‘sanity,'” Kylie notes. She explains that she received it “to remind myself [every day] to keep it.” Makes sense to me. “I’ve struggled with anxiety my whole young adult life,” Kylie writes. Notably, her sister Kendall also grapples with debilitating anxiety. “And after my baby,” Kylie recalls. “i dealt with all the internal ups and downs.” She admits: “I felt like i had to find myself completely again.” “I keep a whole lot to myself,” Kylie is the first to admit. “But,” she explains to her fans and followers, she “just wanted to share.” We’re sure that they understand. “And,” Kylie expressed, she wanted to “let you know I’m human.” That is always good to remember. Contrary to what fans may see on television and social media, life isn’t all curvy photoshoots and small but expensive portions of fruit. “My life is not perfect,” Kylie makes it clear. Her mental health, her social life, her relationships with others … all of that can be positive or negative no matter how things look on Instagram. “And,” she notes. “What you see here on social media is just the surface.” Very true. Kylie has some powerful advice for her fans and followers. She asks them to “be gentle with yourself, move on, and let go.” Kylie reminds the world that “we are all capable of great things, worthy of love, and allowed to express ourselves.” That’s beautiful! She suggests that people try to “do more of what makes you happy.” “And,” Kylie continues, she suggests that people “Be unapologetic.” “Now is your season,” she affirms. (That sounds vaguely threatening, like a hunting season in an old cartoon , but she clearly means that it’s your time to shine) Kylie concludes: “We all have a magnificent destiny.” When it comes to Kylie speaking of losing friends, one name comes to everyone’s mind. “I think that this whole Jordyn situation needed to happen for a reason,” Kylie told Khloe. “For me, for her, for you, for everybody” “She was my security blanket,” Kylie confessed. “She lived with me, we did everything together.” “I just felt like, ‘Oh, I have Jordyn, I don’t need anything else,'” Kylie recalled. “I feel like there’s a part of me that needed to grow without her.” “Sometimes people are there for certain reasons at certain times in your life, and then not there for others,” she speculated. Well that’s an absolutely terrifying postmortum of a best friendship and a startling insight into Kylie’s utilitarian take on friendships, we suppose. Gossip Girl Reboot: Actually Happening! On Something Called HBO Max!

XOXO? More like XOX… OH, YES! Horrible puns and forced segues aside, we now have confirmation that the previously-rumored Gossip Girl reboot is officially a go. It’s happening, Upper East Siders. It really is happening. A revamped version of this formerly beloved CW drama has been officially ordered and will air on HBO Max, the upcoming streaming service from WarnerMedia. The first season will be comprised of 10 episodes, each an hour long, and it will be written by Joshua Safran, an executive producer on the original series. Like The CW’s Gossip Girl, this new iteration will be based based on the book by Cecily von Ziegesar. Here is the HBO Max synopsis: Eight years after the original website went dark, a new generation of New York private school teens are introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl. The prestige series will address just how much social media – and the landscape of New York itself – has changed in the intervening years. Gossip Girl ran for six seasons from 2007 through 2012 on The CW, airing an astounding 121 episodes and making quasi household names out of heretofore unknown actors and actresses. As far as we know, none of these original cast members will return for the new version. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, considering Blake Lively, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick all seemed pretty happy to be done with the show when it finally ended seven years back. Each of these stars has moved on in his or her own way as well. Lively is married to Ryan Reynolds, comprising one half of what may be Hollywood’s most attractive couple. Badgley anchors the popular Netflix drama You. Meester starred on the recently-renewed ABC sitcom Single Parents. Crawford is probably looking for work. And Westwick has been accused of rape . “No one’s ever asked me,” Meester told E! News about a return to Gossip Girl earlier this year, adding several months back: “No one’s ever talked to me about it except for in interviews and I always say the same: I never say never, so I don’t know.” “No one’s sent me that information, it’s coming from you.” HBO Max is set to launch in the spring of 2020. The platform will be the exclusive home of Friends, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Pretty Little Liars and more programs. New shows from Kaley Cuoco, Anna Kendrick and movies from Greg Berlanti and Reese Witherspoon will also live on the streaming service. We can’t say we were excited to pay for yet another one of these, but now that Gossip Girl is coming back?!? Sign us up! View Slideshow: 13 TV Reboots That Should Never Have Happened
