It feels like Jenelle Evans' fight to regain custody of her kids has been going on forever. But believe it or not, it wasn't until this week that Evans and her (allegedly) abusive husband took the stand to explain to a judge why they should be permitted to continue raising their children. If you know anything about the Easons temperaments, you can imagine why their lawyers might have put that part off as long as possible. But they weren't able to delay forever. And so, Jenelle and David spoke on their own behalf this week — and we have the latest on how it all went down. Read on if you're the type who simply can't look away from a trainwreck: 1. Courtroom Drama According to sources close to the hearing, both Jenelle and David submitted testimony this week. 2. David on the Stand Earlier this week, we reported that David took the stand on Monday — and as you can imagine, the courtroom was stunned by his lawyers’ decision to have a known lunatic testify on his own behalf. 3. The Nugget Incident David, of course, is the one who started all this when he prompted a CPS investigation by shooting and killing Jenelle’s French bulldog, Nugget. 4. A Necessary Mistake So while it may seem like an egregiously bad idea for David’s lawyers to put him on the stand, it would’ve looked even worse if he had refused to testify. 5. Color Us Shocked “Everyone was surprised that David’s lawyer was willing to put him on the stand,” one insider told The Ashley’s Reality Roundup. 6. For a long time, the children of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar were forbidden to join social media until they were in relationship that appeared to be headed toward marriage. This rule was loosened somewhat to allow Jana Duggar to join Instagram even though she’s still single. Like so much of what the Duggars do, it makes little to no sense, but the Counting On clan seems to feel no need to explain themselves. So for whatever reason, the very minor pleasure of uploading pics and liking posts are generally restricted to Duggars who have found their match. Which is why it’s so weird that John David Duggar and Abbie Burnett have already ghosted their Instagram followers. John David and Abbie got married in November, and they launched a joint account shortly after their courtship began. On May 12, the couple posted the pic below, along with a caption announcing a contest in honor of Mother’s Day; “Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!!!” going on to announce a contest to “win a whole new wardrobe from [Citrus and Lemon].” But it’s not the redundancy of the name Citrus and Lemon that has fans upset. No, it’s the fact that John David and Abbie never announced a winner for their contest — in fact, after that post they appear tyo have disappeared from social media entirely. Yes, after waiting their entire adult lives to haop aboard the Instagram train, these two basically got off at the first stop. It’s been almost two months since that post, and John and Abbie have nit updated their page since. Duggar obsessives follow the family’s every move, so it’s no surprise that many are concerned about the sudden disappearance. “Are you guys ok??” one fan asked. “Abby girl! What happen? Wheres you and john these days?” another commented. “Abby please post more you and john. We miss ya. Unless there is a reason we will find out later,” a third remarked. “You are a perfect match and one of my.favorite couples on counting on!” Now, the most likely explanation is that Abbie and John David quickly realized that they missed the brief period in which social media was anything other than a cesspool of bigotry and political hot takes, and they made the wise decision to bail on the whole scene. But because this is the internet in 2019, the most likely explanation has been shoved aside in favor of scandalous hot takes. Some fans are speculating that there’s trouble in paradise, but the most common theory seems to be that Abbie is secretly pregnant . “Your (sic) next in line for baby time,” wrote a third. “Well!!!!! However, the footage of the fight has led to the arrest of the rapper and fashion icon. TMZ reports : Law enforcement in Stockholm tell us … cops busted A$AP on suspicion of aggravated assault. TMZ broke the story … the rapper and his team got into the brawl last weekend. We posted the first video of the incident, showing Rocky and his entourage tossing a guy and punching him. Witnesses told us the fight started because the man was hounding A$AP and his team over a pair of headphones he claimed they had broken. However, AR later posted a nearly 3-minute long video which showed the man had actually broken his headphones when he smashed them on the head of A$AP’s bodyguard. Even after that clear first shot was taken … Rocky is seen on camera playing peacemaker, trying to calm the situation. According to the outlet, Rocky will be held for at least three days while authorities examine potential charges. The Real Housewives of Orange County will look different than it has in past seasons when it returns with new episodes this summer. Why? Because Vicki Gunvalson has been demoted. She's been downgraded to the status of “friend,” as opposed to full-time cast member. This sort of sucks, and yet one thing is made clear by the preview featured here: Gunvalson will still be at the forefront of lots of drama on Season 14. Despite Tamra Judge, Shannon Storms Beador, Kelly Dodd, Gina Kirschenheiter, Emily Simpson and newcomer Braunwyn Windham-Burke announced by Bravo at this season's leading ladies, Vicki is slammed as a “con woman” and a “crook” in this trailer. And long-time viewers can guess who's doing the slamming, right? Yup: Vicki's rival, Kelly Dodd. Gunvalson comes right back at Dodd in the footage, accusing her of being a bully. But it's a couple different descriptions that really gnaw at Kelly and prompt a response. “I don’t do cocaine, and I’m not a f-cking whore,” she says, seemingly replying to the claims Vicki had made at last year’s reunion. Elsewhere, Gina – who joined the cast in season 13 – grows emotional presumably about her arrest for drunk driving. “It just hurts. It’s so unfair,” she says to Shannon, who reassures her, “I’ll be there for you.” The women later make the surprising decision go to a therapy healing session to help them each through the traumas in their lives – but it’s unsure if it actually helps. It may actually end up hurting. As for Gunvalson and her reaction to getting demoted? “For the past 14 years I’ve opened up my life, my loves, my ups and downs on The Real Housewives of Orange County and I am proud to be the 'OG of the OC,'” she wrote on Instagram after the news broke, adding: “I am back again this season right in the middle of the action, and I hope you have as much fun watching the show as I did living it in front of the cameras.” As for new addition Braunwyn? She's a mother of seven – yes, SEVEN! – with a full house that includes a baby, toddler, twin kindergarteners and three teenagers. Taylor Swift spoke out against a hurtful injustice, only to get accused by Justin Bieber of just wanting attention . Since then, a number of other stars have spoken out in her defense, clapping back at the Biebs for being a douche. Now Emma Portner is speaking about time she spent working for Justin, accusing him of degrading women and grossly underpaying her. 24-year-old choreographer Emma Portner, who is notably Ellen Page’s wife, has spoken out in her Instagram Stories. “Justin Bieber, I regret working under your name,” Emma Portner’s post begins. “I gave you universe my naive body, creativity, time, and effort,” she writes, adding: “Twice.” Emma did this “for content that you made millions off of. While I mad zilch. Nada. Barely anything.” She describes her pay as having been “less than minimum wage for the hours I invested.” “I couldn’t afford to eat,” Emma Portner recalls. She adds: “I was sweeping studio floors to be able to practice my craft.” “The way you degrade women is an abomination,” Emma accuses. She notes: “You continue to collaborate with overly problematic people.” That’s an understatement. Justin gets along alarmingly well with the likes of Chris Brown and (formerly) Floyd Mayweather. “You religiously go to a church that does not support the LGBTQ+ community,” Emma observes. She’s not attacking his faith, but rather where he chooses to practice it. Emma admits that she cannot help but wonder how he feels about working with lesbians like herself and other LGBTQ+ folks. “I can only hope for your enlightenment,” she expresses. “That you read a ton of books.” She even offers to buy him some helpful literature to “change the way your traumatized brain thinks.” Emma also included a post about how one can be glad that they had opportunities while still holding people accountable for mistreatment. That’s very fair. It’s no mystery at all why Emma is speaking out about this now. Over the weekend, Taylor Swift put Scooter Braun on blast for what she described as a history of cruelty and bullying. She had learned, to her horror, that he will soon own the majority of her discography. The Biebs spoke in defense of his manager, and suggested that Taylor was only saying these things to make people pity her. The thing is that other singers and professionals have come out of the woodwork since Taylor spoke out. Additionally, fans have been posting old videos that lend more weight to Taylor’s claims. Madison Beer — who rose to fame after catching Justin’s eye years ago — once shared that her entire music career was swept out from under her. In other footage, Ariana Grande is heard briefly admitting that aspects of her album’s tracklist were not under her control, but under Scooter’s. When Taylor speaks out, she doesn’t have to provide receipts — her fans will whip them out on her behalf. Other celebrities have spoken in praise of her, including Halsey. Taylor Swift knows that speaking out isn’t likely to stop Scooter Braun from assuming ownership of her life’s work. She can’t stop it — she wasn’t even given the opportunity to bid on it, and didn’t know about the sale until it had already happened. But just because you can’t change what has happened doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t tell the world what powerful men do behind closed doors. Taylor knows that. But maybe public pressure and scrutiny will encourage Scooter to offer Taylor a deal, even if it’s only to save his reputation. Jenelle Evans managed to maintain custody of her children throughout numerous arrests, violent episodes, and documented instances of substance abuse (including at least one while she was pregnant). But her marriage to David Eason has put her in a position where she's only permitted to see her kids during supervised visits for one hour a week. Granted, Jenelle certainly contributed to the environment that led CPS to remove her children for their own safety. But it was David's violent temper — and his decision to shoot and kill the family dog — that prompted the investigation. Yes, Eason's fits of rage are infamous — which is one reason it's so surprising his lawyers decided to put him on the stand during his custody hearing. Now, The Ashley's Reality Roundup has the latest on what went down during one crazy week in court. Take a look: 1. One Mad Dad David’s violent temper tantrums have been well documented over the years. In April, he shot and killed Jenelle’s 11-pound French bulldog during one such outburst. 2. Justice For Nugget David’s decision to murder little Nugget resulted in a CPS investigation that caused the Easons to lose custody of the three children who were living with them on the property they dubbed “The Land.” 3. The Long Decline David and Jenelle had already lost custody of two of their children, and now, the remaining three have been removed from their care as well. 4. The Wild Card David’s erratic behavior has already caused irreparable damage to his family, and remarkably, he keeps finding ways to make the situation worse. 5. It Never Ends David has clashed with at least two of his kids’ current caretakers in the parking lot outside the courthouse, and he arrived to the first day of testimony with a gun on his dashboard, seemingly in an effort to send a message to reporters. 6.
