It’s been over 35 years that Alex Trebek has graced our televisions and homes as the host of Jeopardy! But according to reports, Trebek’s time as the legendary’s show’s host may be coming to an end. In an interview with Canada’s CTV television network , Trebek revealed that his chemotherapy treatments are starting to affect his speech. The event raises money for the Stuart House, a program of the Rape Treatment Center at UCLA-Santa Monica’s Medical Center. The 61-year-old has visited the Rape Treatment Center and shared what she learned from being in the midst of survivors of sexual assault . “I wish we didn’t live in a world where sexual assault existed,” she said, according to The Hollywood Reporter ‘s coverage of the event. “I wish they weren’t victims of such a heinous, life-altering crime. I wish we lived in a world where our children felt effortlessly protected, without any fear of someone violating or hurting them. But sadly that is not our reality. According to sports news, Quavo threw out the first ceremonial pitch before game two of the National League Division Series matchup between the Atlanta Braves and St. Louis Cardinals on Friday (Oct. 4). The special occasion featured the “Pure Water” artist donning a custom made Braves jersey that featured him rocking the number 91, for his birth year, and bolstered his nickname “Huncho” on the back. Before the start of the game, Fox Sports tweeted out a video of Quavo practicing his perfect pitch behind an old building, landing a near-perfect strike to the catcher. According to Law.com , Justice O. Peter Sherwood knocked out key claims in a lawsuit by Rocawear co-founder Norton Cher’s YRN LLC, which sued the Georgia-based trio and Migos LLC for breach of contract in May 2018. According to the complaint, the firm acquired the trademarks to “Y.R.N.” and “Yung Rich Nation” in March 2015, with the goal of marketing clothing and accessories associated with Migo’s then-forthcoming single and album by the same names. The suit alleged that the performers, Quavious Marshall, Kiari Cephus and Kirshnik Ball, and managers Jerel Nance and Pierre Thomas had agreed not to compete with the company by marketing apparel with the Migos name. It was an “incontrovertible fact,” Judge Sherwood said, noting that the company never had any right to the Migos name, and by the time Migos had paired up with Bravado, any need for the contract’s restrictions was gone. “There simply was no market left to cannibalize.” Sherwood wrote in an 11-page opinion dated Sept. 12. “The market for apparel bearing the name of a faded Migos song or album was gone and the restrictive covenants in [the contract] no longer made commercial success.” The ruling was handed down in September, although it was just announced this week.
It looks like Mac Miller’s death will not be in vein. Three men are being held to legal task for their role in providing the late rapper’s passing. Page Six is reporting that a grand jury indictment concerning Mac’s death has been unsealed. According to the website the documents state a trio of men allegedly distributed cocaine and oxycodone pills laced with fentanyl to Miller which lead to his untimely death in 2018. Cameron Pettit, 28, of West Hollywood, California; Stephen Walter, 46, of Los Angeles; and Ryan Reavis, 36, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona have all been hit with charges related to his overdose. Kaitlyn Bristowe does not appear to know any The Bachelor spoilers about the upcoming season of this ABC franchise. But the former reality star does want to spoil your view of series creator Mike Fleiss. For good and with authority, we should add. During an interview with comedian Nikki Glaser on the latest episode of Talkhouse Podcast, the Season 11 Bachelorette lead took aim at the Fleiss when the topic of Dancing with the Stars was brought up. She held nothing back, either. “They won’t let me [go on the show], ever,” Bristowe alleged on this podast, adding in more specific and cruel detail: “I’ll tell you exactly why I can’t go on Dancing with the Stars. Anybody that listens to this podcast knows why I cannot go on Dancing with the Stars. “And it’s because, and I will say this with a mic in my hand and a smile on face, that Mike Fleiss is a piece of sh-t. He is the creator of The Bachelor, and he hates women.” This isn’t the first time Bristowe has made such a powerful claim. Bristowe has long insisted that Fleiss denied her the opportunity from joining the hit ABC dance competition series when she was approached after her season of The Bachelorette in 2015. This, despite the fact that Kaitlyn worked as a professional dancer before appearing on reality televison. “Actually I was offered it, had the contract & Mike Fliess [sic] told me I wasn’t allowed,” Bristwoe tweeted in 2017 after Nick Viall (who placed second on her season) was cast on season 24 of DWTS, adding back then: “He said he didn’t want people wanting fame after his show.” At the time, two-plus years ago, Fleiss actually responded to Bristowe, writing: “@kaitlynbristowe has my total support if she wants to appear on DWTS!!! Thanks I’ll get right on that opportunity 2 yrs ago.” Bristowe then fired back: “I wonder what changed your mind?” So, as you can see, this feud isn’t new or anything. Kaitlyn has simply upped the ante this week with her extraordinarily harsh comments about the executive producer. For the record: A total of four Bachelors have competed on Dancing with the Stars: Jake Pavelka, Sean Lowe, Chris Soules and Viall. The only Bachelorettes to have competed are Trista Sutter during the show’s very first season in 2005 and Hannah Brown , who is currently competing on season 28. And Bristowe obviously doesn’t blame the aforementioned women for their appearance on the program, telling Entertainment Tonight previously that she was totally psyched for Hannah. “I’ve spoken out in the past about how Bachelorettes haven’t gotten the same love as Bachelors when it comes to the chance to complete in the ballroom,” she said after Brown’s casting, adding: “The fact that it’s finally happening again for a female franchise lead is long overdue. I will be watching, glass of wine in hand, and cheering her on.” On Talkhouse Podcast, Bristowe alleged: “So [Fleiss] lets all the Bachelors go on and the only reason he let Hannah go on this season of Dancing with the Stars is because — well, I hope I had something to do with it, that I said something — but because he’s in hot water because there’s some sh-t that came out on him abusing his wife. “So he’s like, ‘Look at me, I love women.’ As long as he’s in power with ABC, I will never get on that show.” What Bristowe is referring to here is the allegation that Fleiss assaulted his pregnant wife this summer. Last month, we were stricken with horror at the idea that Ashley Martson and Jay Smith might get back together . We soon dismissed our concerns because they had simply arrived, separately, at the same venue. After all, this 90 Day Fiance couple was riddled with scandals and disasters even before their deeply contentious divorce. Only now, in an interview with In Touch Weekly , Ashley reveals that she and Jay are no longer at odds. Most worrying of all, she has even dropped her PFA order against him. Oh no, Ashley! 1. Jay had a birthday this week On Tuesday, October 8, Jay Smith turned 22 years old. He’s begun to have the Bad Birthdays — after 21, each milestone is a reminder of the relentless march towards the grave. But that didn’t stop him from celebrating 3. Jay wasn’t the only one to mark the occassion Ashley Martson took to her Instagram Stories to wish Jay a happy birthday. Or, more specifically, to write “Happy Birthday, Loser!” In case anyone might think that she was picking a fight with actors Bella Thorne or Percy Hynes-White, she tagged Jay. 4. And Jay responded … “Thanks, punk!” he wrote above a screenshot of Ashley’s message. They may be hurling mild insults at each other, but this looked alarmingly playful to a lot of fans. 5. Way back in April of 2018, Tristan Thompson got caught cheating on Khloe Kardashian with a slew of random groupies while he was on the road with the Cleveland Cavs. Khloe forgave Tristan — and he quickly made her regret it. Not long after, Tristan was caught cheating again — this time with Kylie Jenner’s longtime best friend Jordyn Woods. It was the ultimate betrayal, and Khloe once again kicked Tristan to the curb. On the second offense, she seemed to have every intention of sticking to her guns. But time heals all wounds, makes fools of us all, etc. Choose whatever cliche you want — the point is, it looks like Khloe is once again on the verge of giving Tristan another chance. According to a new report from Radar Online, the former couple never really cut the lines of communication. Which is not surprising — these two have a daughter together, after all. But it seems that in recent months, the conversation has shifted away from toilet training in favor of talk about making more babies. “Khloe and Tristan are talking so much lately,” an insider tells the site. “And it isn’t just about their daughter, they talk a lot just about regular life,” the source adds. Obviously, the idea of Khloe getting back together with Tristan is horrifying, but sadly it seems the ladies of the Kardashian clan won’t be stepping in to put a stop to this ill-advised reconciliation. “Kim actually likes Tristan and has been saying she likes hanging out with him, he is a cool guy,” says the tipster. “Kim has been open about hating Tristan for what he did to Khloe, but she has definitely been nicer about him lately.” Yes, Kim made no secret of her hatred of Tristan after word got out of his repeated infidelities. So far she isn’t letting anything romantic happen.” Apparently, one thing that’s made it difficult for Khloe to take Tristan back is the fact that he will 100 percent cheat on her again. Then Again … But there’s just SO much drama in the Teen Mom universe, and we see a lot of it play out in real life before we see it on the show, and sometimes we see things on the show that we really didn’t know about when it was actually happening … so time just moves different for these people, OK? 3. Looking Back Anyway, it was about two years ago that Briana and her family went on a Disney World vacation with Javi Marroquin and little Lincoln, the son he shares with Kailyn. He was kind of secretive about the whole thing, and Kailyn really sincerely did not appreciate it. 4. Mad at Everyone After that, Kail officially started hating Briana, and her relationship with Javi turned sour, too. They got into a pretty heated argument while filming a Teen Mom 2 reunion special because Kailyn thought she’d been disrespected, it was this whole thing — you remember. 5. Weird Their feud has actually lasted way, way longer than Javi and Briana’s actual relationship did — they only dated for a few months, but the pettiness has lived on. 6. If you’ve been following The Bachelor Spoilers , you know that this season’s filming is well underway. On Tuesday came the shocking news that Peter Weber was injured in a freak accident , sustaining some nasty-sounding facial cuts. But Chris Harrison is assuring fans that, despite Peter’s hospitalization, the show will go on. Chris Harrison has opened up on social media about Peter Weber’s injuries. The The Bachelor Host acknowledges that Peter “suffered a freak accident” while getting into a golf cart in Costa Rica. “He got a cut on his head,” Chris shares as a detail. This wasn’t just a scratch, either — that hospitalization was very much needed. “He did get stitches,” Chris confirms. Head wounds can be frightening, particularly because they tend to bleed a lot. Chris wants to assure fans: “but he’s 100% okay.” “And,” he adds. “Production is already back underway.” It may sound cynical to discuss the production schedule, but each day of not filming can cost thousands or even millions. But knowing that Peter is already okay to film again will do more to assure fans that he’s okay than almost anything else. Naturally, some people might have worried about The Bachelor ‘s season if the leading man has a serious facial injury. Chris wants to assure everyone that, no, Peter has not been disfigured by this fall. “He’s still the dashing, handsome pilot we’ve all dreamed of,” Chris promises. Chris also observed that there had been “wild” rumors about Peter circulating on Tuesday. He hopes that his words of assurance help people to calm down. Our suspicion is that some people will harbor worries until they see a fresh photo or video of Peter’s face. He has a lot of dedicated fans — and he did even before people found out that he was Hannah’s windmill bandit . You know that some people are rooting for him to find love just to see if he goes four times in a row with every lady he courts. But fans should remember that he’s a person, with charm and other qualities unrelated to windmill boning. And his face is, we’re sure, just fine. While we’re relieved to know that Peter is “100% okay,” this did give us a thought. How would contestants and the Bachelor Nation as a whole react if, halfway through a season, the leading man were suddenly and abruptly less handsome? We don’t mean a single cut that was treated immediately. We mean, like, suddenly he’s gone some Phantom of the Opera stuff happening on his face. Which contestants would quit, knowing that the eyes of America are on them? Who would stay on out of love? Who would stay on to make it look like they’re non-shallow romantics but really they just want to build their brand? To be clear, though, we’re not trying to give producers any ideas. Please do not maim reality stars, no matter how interesting the season would be. As for Peter, we’re sure that he’ll be back to boning in windmills before his stitches are even done healing, if he hasn’t already. Good for him. Matt Lauer has once again been accused of rape. This time, however, the name of the disgraced journalist’s alleged victim, and the details of his alleged misdeed, have been made public. (About two years ago, we reported on a previous rape allegation that claimed Lauer bent a staffer over a desk in his office in 2001 and violated her right then and there.) In Ronan Farrow’s new book, “Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators,” the well-respected reporter interviews NBC News employee Brooke Nevils. It was her complaint about Lauer led to his firing in November 2017 . At the time, Nevils’ identity was kept anonymous at her request; this is the first time the full details of her story have been released for all to read. Nevils alleges in the book, according to Variety, that Lauer anally raped her in his hotel room at the 2014 Sochi Olympics. According to Nevils, she ran into Lauer at a bar one night. After doing six shots of vodka, she first went to Lauer’s hotel room to grab her press credentials and then later went back after the Today Show anchor invited her. Once there this second time, Nevils says, Lauer kissed her… and then pushed her onto the bed and asked if she liked anal sex. Farrow writes that Nevils said she “declined several times,” but he supposedly “just did it” and didn’t use lubricant. Nevils claims the encounter was painful and that she “bled for days.” “It was nonconsensual in the sense that I was too drunk to consent,” she reportedly tells Farrow in the book. “It was nonconsensual in that I said, multiple times, that I didn’t want to have anal sex.” Nevils admits that she and Lauer slept together a few times after they returned to New York City, explaining the situation as follows: “It was completely transactional. It was not a relationship.” At Meredith Vieira’s prompting, Nevils reported her ordeal to NBC executives in the fall of 2017. A short time later, Lauer was fired for what NBC News Chairman Andrew Lack said at that time was “a detailed complaint from a colleague about inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace.” Nevils went on medical leave in 2018 and was eventually paid “seven figures,” writes Farrow in his book. Lauer, whose marriage officially ended this summer , had mostly kept quiet ever since getting the boot two years ago. But he issued a lengthy statement to Variety in the wake of this rape allegation. In a new book, it is alleged that an extramarital, but consensual, sexual encounter I have previously admitted having, was in fact an assault. It is categorically false, ignores the facts, and defies common sense , he says, continuing as follows: I had an extramarital affair with Brooke Nevils in 2014. It began when she came to my hotel room very late one night in Sochi, Russia. We engaged in a variety of sexual acts. We performed oral sex on each other, we had vaginal sex, and we had anal sex. Each act was mutual and completely consensual. Referring to the accusations made in Farrow’s book, Lauer says Nevils’ side of the experience is “filled with false details intended only to create the impression this was an abusive encounter.” He adds along this line: Nothing could be further from the truth. There was absolutely nothing aggressive about that encounter. Brooke did not do or say anything to object. She certainly did not cry. She was a fully enthusiastic and willing partner. At no time did she behave in a way that made it appear she was incapable of consent. She seemed to know exactly what she wanted to do. The only concern she expressed was that someone might see her leaving my room. She embraced me at the door as she left. Lauer goes on to admit to an ongoing affair with Nevils, emphasizing that she never expressed “discomfort” of any kind. He also says Nevils never worked for him or had to answer to him in any way in their roles at NBC. Lauer claims he basically ghosted Nevils as a way to end their affair and strongly hints that she’s now saying all this stuff out of bitterness and anger — and because she wants to sell a book. In conclusion? I have never assaulted anyone or forced anyone to have sex. Period , Lauer writes. Anyone who knows me will tell you I am a very private person. I had no desire to write this, but I had no choice. The details I have written about here open deep wounds for my family. But they also lead to the truth. For two years, the women with whom I had extramarital relationships have abandoned shared responsibility, and instead, shielded themselves from blame behind false allegations. They have avoided having to look a boyfriend, husband, or a child in the eye and say, “I cheated.” They have done enormous damage in the process.
