For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Adidas By Stella McCartney Launches Post-Mastectomy Bra

Source: Adidas / adidas In time for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month , Adidas has launched a new sports bra for women who have undergone a mastectomy. Designed by famous designer Stella McCartney , the brand’s first Post-Mastectomy Sports Bra has been created to empower breast cancer survivors to introduce sport and fitness back into their lives, Adidas wrote in a press release . “With the Post-Mastectomy Sports Bra, I really wanted to encourage women to take care of their health through wellness and self-care. This bra allows us to support recovering patients through the next phase of their journey, and hopefully give them the confidence to get back into training. It has a cool and modern look that will help motivate the wearer, as well as assuring them, they are not [the] odd one out in the gym,” explained McCartney, whose mother died of the disease in 1998. Source: Adidas / adidas The model used in the campaign is Black British boxer and breast cancer survivor, Michele Aboro . “After my surgery, I felt lost. As a professional athlete, I was used to relying on my body but after my mastectomy, I started to lose belief in myself and how my body would react. When I was ready to get back into fitness, I couldn’t find a sports bra that didn’t require being pulled over my head or lacked in support. Now I wear the Post-Mastectomy Sports Bra every time I train – it is comfortable and supportive and has helped me build back my confidence to get back into the game,” the mother and mentor explained. The bra, which costs $69, has a front-closure zipper, inner pockets with removable pads, and adjustable straps. In addition, the seams were all placed specifically around the arms to “reduce discomfort and irritation to areas of the skin prone to sensitivity due to surgical scarring.” It comes in two colors: Pink and black. I had to go through that in order to serve.” On her ex-husband: “Well, when I look back, I see that we all want what we want. And we want it to be the way we want it to be,” she says. “I wanted a savior. I’d been hurting so long, and so much, and so bad.” As for his role in breaking her drug habit, she now admits “he did not deserve that credit.” On the roots of her battle with substance abuse:  “We numb ourselves with drugs and alcohol and people and shopping and shit, to cover up what’s really going on inside,” she says. “You’re taking drugs so you can go out and feel courageous, or go out and feel beautiful or whatever. Cop Who Killed Unarmed 33-Year-Old Black Man In ‘Cold Blood’ Acquitted Of Manslaughter Charges

W hile some people were celebrating that Amber Guyger was convicted of murdering Botham Jean in Dallas, Texas on Sept. 6 2018, there was another injustice happening in Georgia. Former police Zechariah Presley was acquitted of voluntary manslaughter and involuntary manslaughter in the fatal shooting of unarmed Black man Tony Green . He was only 33. SEE ALSO: Complaint Filed Against Judge Tammy Kemp For ‘Unconstitutional’ Behavior After Amber Guyger Sentencing According to the Associated Press , Pastor Mack De’Von Knight, whose church Green attended, said outside of the courthouse, “He admitted that he killed Tony Green in cold blood, To me, it’s hunting season for the young Black man and we’re being gunned down in the streets and there’s no repercussions, there’s no consequences for these officers.” Presley said he followed Green’s car on the night of On the evening of June 20, 2018, Presley was reportedly following Green’s car because he believed he was driving with a suspended license. According to “dash camera video showed Green drive the car off the road, then open the door and run. He briefly returned to the vehicle to grab an unseen object, then fled again.” Presley chased Green on foot, the two struggled, which could not be be seen on camera. Green was then shot eight times. The AP also reported, “On the witness stand Wednesday, Presley added details he had not mentioned previously. He said he opened fire after Green turned back to face him and extended an arm, saying he feared Green had a gun. Investigators determined the object in his hand was a cellphone.” Prosecutor Rocky Bridges slammed this new account in the closing argument, saying, “He made a fatal mistake and it was a mistake that cost a man his life. You don’t have to like Tony Green. … He ran from the police, not a good decision. But he was not armed. He did not turn on officer Presley. He did not deserve to die.” Nonetheless, he was acquitted of manslaughter charges. However, the jury did find Zechariah Presley guilty of violating his oath of office. He faces a prison term of one to five years and will be sentenced Oct. 18. Rest in power to Tony Green. AWOL Dog: DMX Ditched His Def Jam 35th Anniversary Party Performance

Just when it seemed like DMX had finally conquered his demons and things for him were on the up and up, the Hip-Hop OG pulled out of Def Jam’s 35th Anniversary party at the last second without giving anyone a heads up. Page Six is reporting that Dark Man X was slated to perform at the commemoration event for the label this past weekend at Villain in Williamsburg, Brooklyn when he was suddenly a no show for what was said to be “personal reasons.” Luckily for everyone in attendance fellow Ruff Ryder Jadakiss and Brooklyn’s own Fabolous saved the party by taking to the stage and performing “We Gonna Make It” and “Breathe” for the crowd of 750 which included the likes of 2 Chainz, Teyana Taylor and Slick Rick. Ever since getting out of prison for the umpteen time, a visibly healthier DMX has been keeping himself busy doing shows , making music and filming movies , but when something like this happens fans automatically fear a possible relapse of substance abuse. Hopefully that isn’t the case and it really was something else that he had to attend to.

University of Kansas Apologizes For Sexually Suggestive Snoop Dogg Performance

The University of Kansas is apologizing for a very sexually suggestive performance featuring Hip-Hop legend Snoop Dogg at its late-night event. This was definitely not a good idea. While Snoop Dogg performed his hits, stripper poles were wheeled out on Allen Fieldhouse floor, and fake money fell out of the sky on the heads of recruits. Add this mess to the high-level NCAA infractions the University of Kansas is facing for sketchy recruiting tactics. Long took full responsibility for the risque show and added in a statement: “We made it clear to the entertainers’ managers that we expected a clean version of the show and took additional steps to communicate to our fans, including moving the artist to the final act of the evening, to ensure that no basketball activities would be missed if anyone did not want to stay for his show. I take full responsibility for not thoroughly vetting all the details of the performance and offer my personal apology to those who were offended.” He closed things out by saying: “We strive to create a family atmosphere at Kansas and fell short of that this evening.” The University of Kansas’ Late Night event is a traditional event and has taken place for 35 years.  It traditionally started out as a scrimmage to celebrate the return of the college basketball season before turning into a full-on entertainment spectacle. Uncle Snoop has not been the only Hip-Hop act to perform either, 2 Chainz , Lil Yachty and Tech N9ne also have performed at the family-friendly event. Jana Kramer Finds Topless Pics of Another Woman on Husband’s Phone: Is It Finally Over?

Jana Kramer may finally need to end her marriage. The country singer, perhaps best known for her role on One Tree Hill back in the day, has been open for years about her problems with husband Mike Caussin. Specifically, he’s a sex addict who has cheated on Kramer multiple times. Has he really turned his life around, though? Is he over this so-called “addiction” and done being disloyal to his wife? Kramer now has a rather strong reason to believe otherwise. On Monday’s new installment of iHeartRadio’s Whine Down podcast, listeners tuned in for an open and raw conversation between the couple as they shared details from a recent fight. The fight centered around Mike having recently received a woman’s topless photo via text …. that he claimed to have immediately deleted, yet didn’t tell his wife about. The ex-One Tree Hill star later found out about it after going through Mike’s Apple Watch, which triggered major trust issues. “I see it and I know the right thing to do is to go get Jana, pull her aside and say, ‘Hey. I just received this. I don’t know what the hell it is but I just need you to know,'” Mike said on the podcast, prior to explaining why he withheld the text: “I was terrified to do so…Jana and I have had a really good run recently — like not a lot of past stuff coming up, we’ve been handling situations pretty well, handling triggers pretty well, talking things out. “It really felt like we were really building a lot of forward momentum…” Naturally, Jana jumped in, this discovery made her think back to Mike’s history of infidelity. “When I looked, I was like God damnit. I saw it and my heart just fell. It’s here. It’s happened again,” she shared while trying to hold back tears. “I’m such a f-cking idiot and I immediately called my best friend and I was just shaking crying outside and then I called the number and then I texted it and it was like: “‘Sorry hun, can’t talk on the phone. Do you want me to come over?’ and I was just like, ‘You texted my husband. I would love to know your correspondence. “Please from one woman to another.'” Uhhh, the woman who sent your husband a topless photo, getting a call from your husband’s phone, asked if she should come over? Doesn’t that tell you all that needs to be said, Jana? Apparently not. Kramer went on to say the messages got “really weird,” leading her to believe that perhaps it wasn’t even a real person — and then added that Mike’s deleting of the image was the most hurtful aspect of this scandal. “The deleting things — whether it was a fluke text — sends me right back to him deleting all the messages that he did with his affairs,” she told fans. “It’s just heavy. Mike then apologized for it on air. “I am sorry honey that I didn’t handle it the way that we agreed upon,” he said. “I didn’t handle it the right way for myself, for you, for both of us.” Meanwhile, on Instagram, Kramer revealed she and her husband were close to not airing the incident for listeners. Why did they choose to do so? “Up until a day ago Mike and I wanted to pull the episode completely and just not have an episode for today because it was that heavy for us,” she explained. “Instead I put my big girl pants on and started to record with Mike after a very long and intense 24 hours of not talking to each other.” “In the beginning of the ep I truly tried to put the acting chops on and play cool but it’s evident as the episode went on that didn’t happen.” Kramer concluded as follows: We decided to open the door into what happened and woah did we let it all out. Jen Harley: Injuries Allegedly Inflicted By Ronnie Magro Revealed in Shocking New Photos

On October 3,  Jersey Shore star Ronnie Magro was tased and arrested following a violent altercation with girlfriend Jen Harley. Sadly, to those familiar with this twosome, this was one of those stories that registers as both shocking and not shocking at all. While it’s obviously never okay to blame the victim, Jen has committed several acts of violence against Ronnie in the past. Perhaps most notably, there was the infamous incident in which Harley actually  dragged him with her car  in mid-argument. So some Shore fans might have been hesitant to condemn Ronnie’s actions this time around. However, they may feel differently after seeing photos of the brutal injuries Jen allegedly sustained in her fight with Ron. The photos — obtained by TMZ and published by the site late Monday night — show large scrapes and bruises on Harley’s shoulder and thigh. Sources close to Jen say she suffered the injuries when Ron dragged her across the concrete driveway of the Los Angeles Airbnb where the fight took place. Not surprisingly, Magro’s team offers a very different version of events. They say Jen was behaving erratically, and when Ron attempted to remove the couple’s 1-year-old daughter Ariana to a safer location, she resisted him. Magro allegedly claims that Jen suffered the shoulder injury when she fell backward off a fence after he took Ariana away from her. He claims the thigh injury occurred when she clung to him as he attempted to re-enter the house with his daughter. Though he has yet to speak publicly on the matter, Ronnie claimed in a statement to police that Jen was heavily intoxicated on the night of the incident, which caused him to become concerned for Ariana’s safety. On Monday, Harley was issued an emergency order of protection against Magro, which prevents him from making contact with her until October 11. According to TMZ, she’ll be in court this week to try and have the terms of the restraining order extended beyond that date. Ronnie was reportedly permitted to reclaim items he left in Jen’s home, but only with the presence of a police escort. The order of protection dictates similar requirements should Ronnie need to pick up or drop off Ariana, whom he is not prohibited from seeing. Sources close to the situation say Magro continues to maintain his innocence and believes the truth will come out in court. A trial date for the assault charges against him has not yet been revealed. Dancing With The Stars Recap: Hannah Brown SLAMS Her Exes!

Last week, the Dancing With The Stars contestants were saved from a “normal” elimination after another contestant injury made that call. This week, the competition was back on, and some of the least polished performers made real improvements to stay in the game. Others did not, however, and one had to go home. In the mean time, Hannah unleashed the Beast on her exes. Sean Spicer and Lindsay Arnold showed real improvement with their Paso Doble. This dance’s rigid movements played to Spicey’s strengths (or at least, avoided his major weaknesses). It wasn’t a stunning performance, but they did win themselves a 5, 6, 5, 5. Ally Brooke and Sasha Farber went with a seriously challenging Jive. Ally did a good job, though she seemed to fall behind the dance’s rhythm and her dance partner more than once. The judges awarded the pair 8, 8, 8, 8. Kel Mitchell and Whitney Carson danced a Cha Cha, and there must have been something in the orange soda because Kel did well. He moved like a real dancer, and had a sort of presence that really impressed the audience. Judges were impressed, too, and gave this once non-contender 8, 8, 8, 8. Wow! Kate Flannery and Pasha Pashkov danced an Argentine Tango. Kate continues to absolutely floor audiences with her grace, confidence, and dance skills. This time, though, judges wanted to see a little more from her, doling out 7, 7, 6, 6. Sailor Brinkley-Cook and Val Chmerkovskiy did a Cha Cha, and viewers could notice Sailor mouthing along to the lyrics. Despite that distraction, she did a great job of fluid movements, to no one’s surprise. The judges gave her and Val a 7, 8, 8, 8. James Van Der Beek and Emma Slater did a Quick Step and, as usual, James hit it out of the park. He’s a talented dancer and a joy to watch on the stage. He’s also expecting his sixth child, he revealed. He and Emma were awarded 7, 7, 7, 7. Good, but not his best performance. Lauren Alaina and Gleb Savchenko danced a Foxtrot. This was a gorgeous dance despite some very subtle flow issues on Lauren’s part. The judges didn’t seem to hold that against her, and awarded 8, 8, 8, 8. Hannah Brown and Alan Bersten did a Paso Doble, and it was perhaps the most fun dance to watch of the night. Not only was it well done, but the show also showed Hannah taking out her frustration on bottles in the Rage Room, referring to them as her “exes.” Though the dazzling light show risked distracting from the first-rate dance, the judges gave Hannah and Alan 8, 8, 8, 8. Nice job, Beast! Karamo Brown and Jenna Johnson danced a Tango. Karamo clearly has some dancing skills, but he seemed a little too stiff and formal. Tango is not ballroom dancing. He was awarded a 7, 7, 7, 7. Lamar Odom and Peta Murgatroyd James Van Der Beek’s talk about his new baby on the way (and past miscarriages) was definitely a highlight. And we’re sure that Hannah’s haters (they’re out there) will have a field day with her smashing some bottles. Whatever. We will say that Leah Remini was intense as a guest judge. Like, way too intense. She stanned hard for Lamar, and even got heated with her fellow judges who weren’t as impressed with him. Ultimately, Lamar’s luck ran out and he was eliminated .
