Rip Taylor, one of the more flamboyant, colorful and memorable comedians of his generation, died in Beverly Hills on Sunday. He was 84 years old. Taylor’s publicist, Harlan Boll, confirmed this sad piece of news last night, although no cause of death has been confirmed to the public. Early in his career, Taylor realized that the more he exaggerated the gag… the bigger the laugh he drew, thereby overemphasizing everything — from his shaggy blonde toupee and bushy mustache to the zany props that were the basis of his bits. The star’s jokes were delivered with shrieking gusto at nearly all times. He started his career as a stand-up comic in nightclubs and later made his breakthrough with appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show. Dubbed the “King of Camp and Confetti” and “The Crying Comedian,” Taylor also rose to popularity due to appearances on “The Merv Griffin Show” and lots of other variety talk shows as a comic in the 1960s. He was famous for dousing his audience with buckets of colored paper, as anyone attending a Rip Taylor performance had to expect to be wearing confetti by the end of the show. Explained Taylor in 2011: “I did props and I was ‘The Prop Comedian.’ I was dying like hell on Merv Griffin’s show. The jokes were dumb, and I tore the 5 by 8 cards, threw them up in the air and it became confetti. “I knocked over his desk, walked up the aisle, went to Sardi’s and said, ‘Well, that’s the end of my television career.’ I went home that night. Their switchboard had lit up. “They said, ‘Get the guy that went crazy!’ And that is how the confetti started.” Taylor also “the $1.98 Beauty Show,” which featured guests compete for the title of the “1.98 Beauty Queen” in a pageant, talent-show format. Aside from these talk show gigs, Taylor ended up in numerous movies and television shows. One of his more memorable big-screen appearances came when he played himself in Wayne’s World 2. At one point, a quest by Wayne to put on WayneStock, the ultimate music festival, garnered stature when Taylor agreed to attend as a special guest. “Rip Taylor’s going to be there,” Mike Myers’ main character told Cassandra Wong in this scene, trying to convince her to perform. “Rip Taylor? He’s a god in my country,” she replies. “He gets mobbed in the street.” Taylor also played parts in The Dukes of Hazzard and all three Jackass movies. On TV, you may remember Rip from such programs as “Sigmund and the Sea Monsters,” “The Brady Bunch Variety Hour,” “Santa Barbara” and other smaller roles along the way. He was the subject of a 2016 documentary, Rip Rip Hooray and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1992. Taylor was briefly married to showgirl Rusty Rowe, but got divorced soon after. After an interview with Access Hollywood aired, the Invasion Of Privacy superstar was angry at the outlet over twisting words she said about her baby daughter Kulture and it got pretty intense. As reported by THR , Cardi took umbrage with Access Hollywood ‘s titling of the interview where the headline apparently read to suggest that baby Kulture has been calling someone else mommy because Cardi is pulled in so many different directions. However, Cardi explained in her explosive response via IG Live on Thursday that she is serious about her momma duties. From THR : The rapper, mother to daughter Kulture with rapper beau Offset, hopped on Instagram Thursday to share her frustration with 51 million followers in what turned out to be an explosive, expletive-filled rant aimed at Access Hollywood and the editorial decision to allegedly “chop up” her words for “clickbait.” Cardi also threatened to spit at Access — while also mimicking the insult — and, in the rant’s most shocking moment, said this: “Access Hollywood, suck my whole d*ck. Suck a d*ck, I hope your f*cking mom catch AIDS, b*tch.” Cardi shared that she gave a much longer answer about her busy life and how she forgoes a lot of her responsibilities to make sure she has quality time with 1-year-old Kulture. In so many words, Cardi was saying that she works diligently to avoid having a babysitter spend time watching over her daughter that she should be doing. Cardi was on the set of Access Hollywood as part of a press run for the Netflix series, Rhythm + Flow . She also mentioned via her Twitter account that she’ll be taking another break from social media as this latest dustup saw Cardi taking some flack from Internet strangers. Brandon Lee says his production was lifted for the track without his permission, and he’s named both X and Cardi B in a lawsuit. TMZ breaks it down : Record producer Brandon Lee says he wrote a song called “gwenXdonlee4-142” and it was incorporated into a song called “Broad Day.” After the release of “Broad Day,” Lee says Cardi B and Lil Nas X released “Rodeo” this past June. … Lee says in his lawsuit, they’re both built on a 4-measure phrase outlining the cord progression E, F, G, F, E. He also says the tempo is the same, both songs utilize guitar and wind instruments, the drumbeats are the same, the chord progression is similar … among other things. Producer Claims Lil Nas X Lifted “Rodeo” Beat In Lawsuit
So, in case you missed it, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro went and got himself into trouble again. That in itself isn’t a shock, since Ronnie has been on a serious downward spiral for a good long while now. But the story about what actually happened is pretty darn intense, even for him. Late Thursday night and into Friday morning, Ron and his girlfriend, Jen Harley, had some kind of issue, as they often do. They were at an Airbnb with their daughter, 18-month-old Ariana, when they started arguing. Things escalated, and Ron allegedly slapped and punched her. She ran outside and started screaming for help — there isn’t an “allegedly” for this part, because apparently several neighbors called 911 to alert authorities of that part of the situation. But instead of just letting her go, Ron ran after her with a knife in one hand and baby Ariana in the other. Jen wouldn’t listen, so he dropped the knife, went back inside with the kid, and locked the door. When police arrived, they asked him to open the door, and when he refused, they broke down the door so they could make sure Ariana was OK. She was, but Ronnie still refused to cooperate, so out came the taser. He was pretty incapacitated, on account of being tasered, so he was taken to a hospital before he was taken to jail and booked on kidnapping charges. What a ride, huh? A terrible, horrifying, just inexcusably awful ride. Jen told police that Ronnie went off after doing some cocaine, which might explain his behavior a bit, but it’s obviously not an excuse. Especially when he and Jen both have such a history of being violent with each other , including but certainly not limited to that time that she dragged him with her car . The whole incident honestly sounds terrifying, and it sounds like the worst bit of violence between them yet, which is really saying something. But was it so bad that they could both end up losing custody of Ariana? According to a lawyer who spoke with Hollywood Life, yeah. The lawyer, a family law attorney in California named David T. Pisarra, doesn’t personally know Ronnie and Jen, but it’s safe to say he’s familiar with situations like these. And as he explains it, Ronnie could be facing an additional charge of child endangerment for what went down, and if he does, then “the government may not allow” any kind of reconciliation between him and Jen. We all know that they have a history of getting into these kinds of fights, breaking up, then getting back together and giving interviews and how they’ve changed and grown and how everything is fine now. But according to this lawyer, “It’s conceivable that the Department of Child & Family Services might not let that happen.” “DCFS could threaten to take the baby from them if she gets back together with Ron because she’s putting the baby in a dangerous position.” “They could charge Jen with negligent parenting,” he adds. Additionally, “DCFS could require Jen to get a restraining order against Ronnie to protect herself and the baby from him.” But if Jen does decide to leave him for good, she has “a phenomenal case for sole custody,” which makes sense. “The prior abuse in their relationship is between them alone, but the fact that Ronnie was holding the baby while he’s chasing Jen now involves the kid,” the attorney says. Going forward, she could potentially get one of two different kinds of restraining orders — a criminal protective order or a civil domestic restraining disorder. Either would be easy for her to obtain, and if she got one, it’s extremely likely that she’d end up with sole custody of Ariana, with Ron getting some kind of supervised visitation. And that’s why you don’t (allegedly!) do a bunch of cocaine and then (also allegedly) chase your girlfriend with a knife while holding your baby.

Fast forward nearly a year… and the Jersey Shore star was arrested for attacking Jen Harley with a knife, reportedly because he was on cocaine and allegedly while holding his 18-month old daughter in his arms. In other words: Ronnie has learned almost nothing, and changed barely at all. While there are major personal ramifcations at stake for Ronnie as a result of this incident — Will he go to jail? Will he lost custody of young Ariana? — there’s also a professional consequence. It’s about time we wonder whether Ronnie deserves to be featured on MTV any longer, don’t you think? According to various outlets, Ronnie completely flipped his $hit just before 3 a.m. on Friday. He and Harley reportedly got into yet another screaming match, this one turning violent and dangerous for all involved. Ronnie is accused of chasing his on-again/off-again girlfriend around with a weapon and then grabbing the couple’s infant daughter and locking him inside the home the couple had been renting. When police arrived on the scene, Ronnie refused to be taken into custody… prompting authorities to use a taser in order to subdue the reality star. Photos later emerged of a shirtless Ronnie being wheeled away on a gurney while handcuffed. Is he innocent until proven guilty? Yes. But one need not be convicted of a crime to be fired from a reality program. Just ask Farrah Abraham , who was let go from Teen Mom because she starred in amateur pornography videos. Or Jenelle Evans , who was booted from the same franchise because Child Protection Services deemed her an unfit mother — even though no charges were ever filed against her. Raking in money from a cable network and garnering vast fame and fortune as a result of a role on Jersey Shore is a privilege, not a right. Ronnie doesn’t need to be a certified criminal for producers to decide that his time on the series has run its course. So… should they make this call? Has Ronnie’s contentious relationship with Harley — which has included multiple arrests at this point, as well as very ugly fights over social media — created a situation in which Ortiz-Magro is simply too poisonous of a presence to employ? He’s a father, remember. There’s an innocent little girl in the middle of all this, someone who may sadly have to read about her parents awful exploits online because they’re featured on a popular television show. Very sad news today out of the reality television universe: Cassandra Waldon, a memorable CBS personality who became the first-ever Big Brother contestant to enter the house on the U.S. version of this program, has been killed. She was 56 years old. According to TMZ, the outlet that broke this sad piece of news, Waldon passed away on September 25 from injuries related to a car accident in Rome. A source at the United Nations — where Cassandra worked — tells the celebrity gossip website that the ex-reality star struck by a vehicle about two months ago, suffering a head injury in the process. Tragically, she never regained consciousness before her death. The standout former Big Brother contestant is now being remembered and mourned by those who knew who well. And those who remember her run way back in the day. Host Julie Chen, for instance, wrote the following on Instagram: “Thank you for bringing your intelligence, warmth and wisdom to the Big Brother house Season 1.” In the end, Weldon finished sixth out of 10 houseguests. In the history of the U.S. version of Big Brother, no contestant who entered the home first has ever come out on top. The same actually holds true for the Canadian version. Prior to her passing, Weldon worked at the UN as its Director of Communications for the International Fund for Agricultural Development. She was living and working in Rome when the crash took place. Fans of Big Brother are also speaking out on social media about this tragedy. “Sad news, Cassandra Waldon of Big Brother 1 passed away last month,” one fan wrote, adding: “She worked at the U.N. at the time she was on the show, and was well-liked by her roomies and viewers alike.” Added another: “Such a shame… She was my favorite contestant on season one. She was so thoughtful and smart.” Added Chen in her tribute: “Your light will continue to shine in this world because of the way you lived your life: with class and grace… You are in my thoughts and in my prayers. May God Bless your soul.” TMZ reports that told her funeral will be held next weekend in her home state of Maryland. May she rest in peace. Travis Scott has been here before. Observers doubted his feelings for Kylie Jenner back when the rapper and reality star began dating. Then, just this past February, rumors of Scott cheating on Kylie grew so strong that the artist canceled a show simply to return home and deny the allegations to his girlfriend in person. So, yes, here we are again. This time, however, Scott is not sitting out and letting the public ruin his reputation. Three days after Travis and Kylie decided to take a break from their relationship, the former has come out and denied all talk of his disloyalty. “It’s really affecting when u see false things said about u once again these false stories about me cheating are just simply not true,” Scott wrote on his Instagram Story Friday, adding: “Focusing on life, music, and family at this moment is what’s real.” Scott isn’t the only person involved in this situation to have spoken out strongly about it. After news of Jenner and Scott’s break-up went viral earlier this week, an allegation started circulating online that Scott had been involved with a woman named Rojean Kar , who goes by YungSweetRo on Instagram. This heretofore unheard of person said the following in response on her own Instagram Story yesterday: “None of these rumors are true, it’s just the internet creating a false narrative. Please stop spreading lies & leave him, her & I alone because it’s affecting real lives. Thank you.” Kylie, meanwhile, has also made two things clear , as you can see in the Tweet down below: 1. She still loves Scott. 2. She absolutely did not go on a date this week with ex-boyfriend Tyga. “Travis and I are on great terms,” Jenner Tweeted this week. “Our main focus right now is Stormi. Our friendship and our daughter is priority.” As for what led to the split? A source previously explained to People Magazine that Kylie would actually love to have a second child in the near future, but Scott is too focused on his career at the moment. That’s actually a pretty normal and understandable reason for a split, if true. Travis Scott has the above to say about all those pesky cheating rumors. Is this really the end, though? Most outlets seem to say otherwise. “They are taking some time but not done,” said a different People source. “They still have some trust issues but their problems have stemmed more from the stress of their lifestyles.” And this is how an E! News insider sums things up for now: “Kylie is young, but she really wants the traditional family life. She has seen her older sisters with big families and multiple kids and she wants the same. “She loved being at home with Travis and their daughter Stormi Webster more than anything. Travis Scott Breaks Silence on Kylie Jenner Split: Did He Cheat?!?
One of Hollywood’s hottest couples is officially one of Hollywood’s most sleep-deprived couples. But for the cutest and most previous of reasons: They have a newborn at home! Us Weekly has confirmed that Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are parents for a third time, having welcomed a baby about two months ago. It’s unclear how this adorable secret finally leaked now… or what the child is named… or even whether it’s a boy or a girl. But it’s still pretty darn awesome news for anyone that has followed the lives and relationship of the actor and the actress. The (GORGEOUS!) Gossip Girl alum revealed in May that she and her 42-year old husband were expecting when she attended a movie premiere with a very evident baby bump showing . The then-pregnant star rocked a bright yellow Retrofête dress on the red carpet, a tight ensemble that made it clear she wanted the world to finally know about her status. Still, true to the private nature of these celebrities, neither star issued an actual statement on the pregnancy. And neither has done so now in light of the pregnancy turning into an actual person. Every now and then, however, Reynolds can’t help but gush about his wife, his kids or his family in general. “When they decide to go away to college, I’m going to be that guy, ‘That’s so funny, I’m going to NYU, too!’” the Golden Globe nominee told Extra in April of his children, joking: “I’m going to be so needy. I love being around them — it’s the best thing in the world.” Also, three years prior to their latest bundle’s arrival, Lively hinted to People Magazine that the two wanted a big family, saying in jest: “I’m one of five kids. My husband is one of four, so we’re officially breeders. You can go on our website and we will give you some of our children.” This is classic Blake and/or Ryan. They say very little about their private lives… but when they do speak out, they absolutely crack us up. Just don’t expect to ever see any photos of their kids on magazine covers or even on social media, not if the stars can help it. Lively previously disclosed to Marie Claire just how protective she is of her family’s privacy, admitting it is “the thing that I feel most protective of and the thing that I feel is the most exposed when I feel exploited.” She added in this interview that her daughter “didn’t have the opportunity to make a decision about what she wants” and it’s therefore very unfair to stick her into the spotlight in any way. Lively and Reynolds got married in 2012, about a year after the latter finalized his divorce from Scarlett Johansson. CONGRATS TO THE NOW-THREE-TIME PARENTS!
