The former Empire actor maintains that the alleged hate crime in Chicago actually happened. As captured by The Shade Room , Smollet saw fit to defend himself after YouTube and media personality Derrick Jaxn saw fit to make a joke at the expense of the actor. Jaxn threw shade at Smollett in connection to a TSR story of the young Washington area girl who claimed racist schoolmates cut off her dreadlocks only to retract the story. Jaxn wrote in his reply “Jussie really is a trendsetter” which prompted a response from Smollet. Smollet fired back with, “With all due respect brother, y’all can clown me all you want but my story has actually never changed and I haven’t lied about a thing,” Smollett said. “Y’all can continue to be misinformed, internalized sheep, who believe what actual proven liars feed you or you can read the actual docs. Either way, I’mma be alright. I know me and what happened. You don’t. So carry on. All love.” Okay, then. It isn’t known if Jaxn has responded to Smollet’s classy clap back. Amy Roloff has experienced a true whirlwind of emotions over the past several days. We’re talking about the highest of highs and the lowest of lows here. And now the Little People, Big World star has opened up about it all. As you likely know by now, Amy is engaged to Chris Marek . Her boyfriend of three years proposed on their dating anniversary in September, finally turning this romantic rumor into an exciting reality. Just a week, later, however, tragedy struck: Roloff’s mother, Patricia, passed away at the age of 86 . Amy wrote openly at the time of Marek’s proposal about what transpired between the couple — but she only briefly mentioned her mom’s passing on Instagram after it happened. Now, though, the TLC personality has a lot more to say about her late parent. “The last two weeks have been a roller coaster ride. Happy and sad,” Amy wrote on Tuesday at the opening to a lengthy photo caption, continuing as follows: “Chris asked me to marry him and I couldn’t be happier – I said Yes. and so excited and looking forward to continuing our journey together.” But then, as Amy notes, her mother — whose illness she had referenced on occasion over the summer — passed away … and the reality star was forced to confront the total opposite emotion. “So sad because A few days later my father told me mom was in the hospital and a day later my sister told me mom had passed away,” she wrote. “She died on the 24th. My heart broke, I cried and sadness came upon me. I didn’t know what emotions to feel. Happy one moment sad the next.” Amy included this message alongside a photo montage of Patricia. Roloff went on to pay heartfelt tribute to Patricia, who appeared on several episodes of Little People, Big World. This is what she wrote: The woman who raised and taught me so much and loved me along w/ my dad passed away. She isn’t here anymore. I won’t be able to see and talk to her. And yet she’s not in pain and hurting anymore either. She lived a good life with my Dad. She didn’t have to go in a home but was able to stay in her home until she died. She would have been 87 years old and my parents would have been married 67 years on the 3rd. I’ll miss her a lot. I’ll miss not seeing her when I go back home – her strong feisty ways along with her gentle soft loving heart. I’m thankful for so much because of my Mom. I’m thankful she believed and had faith and know she’s with Jesus now. I’m thankful I got to talk to her on Sunday before she went to the hospital and then passed away. I know she’ll never stop loving me and is proud of me, I’m thankful all my kids got to go to Michigan last summer and see her and my dad and she got to meet her great grand kids. She was happy because of that. We have no words we can add here. There are few things more painful in life than losing a parent. Here is how Amy concluded her post: I’m sad because I won’t be able to see and talk to her anymore and yet happy because she’s home with the Lord. I pray for my Dad. He’s by himself and He misses her so much. He’ll be 91 soon and he lost his friend, his wife and the person he’s known for over 70 years and been married to for 67 years. Even in my mom’s passing she is lovingly teaching and reminding me- life is but a moment. Be and do your best today and if tomorrow comes do it again. Mom, I love you always. It’s been four years since Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick ended their relationship , but the exes are still very involved in one another’s lives. This is mainly due to the fact that they’re raising three kids together and continue to co-star on a reality show, but those aren’t the only reasons Kourt and Scott have remained so close. Disick and Kardashian still regard one another with mutual respect and affection, and while it’s great that their kids don’t have to deal with bickering parents, this unusual closeness can create problems of its own. For example, when Scott started dating Sofia Richie , Kourtney reportedly disapproved of the relationship. This wasn’t a result of jealousy, but rather Kourtney’s concern that Sofia was misrepresenting her feelings toward Scott. Kourt eventually came to accept the new woman in her baby daddy’s life, and these days she even tags along on vacations with Sofia and Scott . But now, the situation has once again been thrown into turmoil thanks to Scott’s alleged feud with Younes Bendjima. Despite having broken up several times in the past, Kourtney and Younes are reportedly back together . Sources say Kourt’s entire inner circle is upset about the reconciliation, including Scott. And this time, it seems he’s the one who’s worried that his parenting partner is being used and exploited by a younger love interest. “Scott can’t stand Younes, but he’s not going to tell Kourtney what to do,” one insider tells Us Weekly. “He’s moved on with his life and so has she.” The source adds that Kourtney has assured Scott and company that she and Younes are not officially back together … yet. But since the two of them have been spotted on multiple date nights in the past two weeks, her loved ones believe it’s only a matter of time. “Younes has been pursuing Kourtney for months and would love to get back with her,” says the insider. “They’ve hooked up a couple of times but Kourtney’s keeping her options open.” The informant adds that Kourtney still has “major trust issues” regarding Younes, and he’s the one who’s interested in giving their relationship another shot, not her. “He’s more into her than she’s into him and they’re not in an exclusive relationship or anything like that,” says the source. So it sounds like Kourtney is keeping Younes at arm’s length … for now. But the young model has broken down her resistance several times in the past. It can't be easy for a monstrous control-freak like Kate Gosselin to lose control, but at least she's profiting from her eldest kids going to college . In this clip from Kate Plus 8 , the nightmare mom is forced to address Hannah's conspicuous absence. Kate claims to be sad yet supportive of Hannah deliberately missing family trips. “She’s with her dad [Jon Gosselin],” Kate admits about Hannah. “And,” she continues. “She was not able to come,” “And that’s sad,” Kate adds, as if remembering to emote. She notes: “That’s the second trip here, actually, for us that she hasn’t been with us.” Also, is it just us, or is Kate's accent extra weird lately? Maybe it's just us. “Hannah … it was sad for us because … you know, they’re getting older,” Kate continues. This time, she's speaking privately to the camera. “And they’re making different choices,” she says of her children. For someone with Kate's obvious need for control, that must be maddening. “And,” Kate observes. “They’re doing different things.” In the case of Hannah and Collin, they're breathing free air for the first time in their lives. Kate continues, speaking of Hannah in particular. “And she opted to stay back with her dad, actually,” she admits, knowing that there is little point in denying the widely publicized truth. “Which again,” Kate grudgingly acknowledges. “You know, her choice.” “Whatever,” she says dismissively. “It’s not optimal for Mom.” But, contrary to Kate's way of thinking, it's extremely healthy for Hannah to be out of a toxic household. Kate is still trying to portray herself in a positive light rather than someone from whom not one but two children have fled as soon as they had a choice. “But it’s something that I support,” she says. Well, to be fair, Kate has not tried to fight Jon's custody in court. That makes sense — usually, teen children have a lot of say in which parent gets custody. “And you know,” Kate continues. “We just, adjust and move on.” Well, that was pretty diplomatically phrased, for Kate. She's always nicer on camera than reports describe her being when she thinks she's not being watched. An insider recently spoke to Life & Style on the subject. “Kate is trying to be supportive of the situation,” the insider claims. “But the truth is,” the source says. “She hates that Hannah chose Jon over her.” It turns out that treating your children like human beings pays off later — a lesson she learned too late, if at all. “The problem is that the kids are getting older,” the insider characterizes. “And they’re starting to ask questions.” “Some are still Team Mom,” the source reveals. That's normal. You live under somebody's thumb long enough, be they parent or kidnapper, some people are going to feel loyal to them. it's a survival mechanism, and it's not their fault. For a while there, it seemed that whenever we reported on the Jersey Shore gang, it was to update you on the latest depressing developments in the lives of everyone’s favorite guidos. Whether it was Mike Sorrentino’s prison sentence or Ronnie Magro’s tumultuous relationship with Jen Harley, JS news came only in two flavors — bad and worse. These days, however, it looks as though the tides have turned for the Shore gang. The Situation is out of prison , while Ron and Jen’s situation has somewhat stabilized. (Yes, a breakup would be preferable, but we’ll take encouraging news however we can get it.) But of all the reasons for the Seaside Seven (no, we don’t count Angelina) to be optimistic going into 2020, none is more heartwarming than the latest update on Jenni Farley’s 5-year-old son, Greyson. As you may know from Jenni’s refreshingly candid comments on recent episodes of Shore , Greyson has been diagnosed with autism and obsessive-compulsive disorder. For most of his life, he has been unable to express himself verbally or understand words spoken by others. That began to change recently thanks to a new form of therapy and a dedicated team of professionals. Farley uploaded a video this week in which she ecstatically updated fans on Greyson’s progress: Jenni Farley Updates Fans on Son’s Health “Since he started with We Care Autism ABA (applied behavior analysis) services, [it] has been one hell of an experience,” Farley shared, noting that her insurance company initially resisted paying for the treatment, but that she fought “to get the best of the best … for Greyson.” “He used to have [ABA therapy for] two-to-three hours, three times a week, and he would also do speech and OT [occupational therapy] at a local hospital,” Farley added. “But over time, and recently, we got approved for 30 hours a week for ABA, which is huge ’cause 30 hours of ABA has been a game-changer,” Jenni explained. “Not only that, but Greyson goes to preschool three hours a day, five days a week and his ABA therapist Steph goes there for two hours a day with him to really help him transition into the everyday world with people and little kids his own age.” “These guys changed my life and changed Greyson’s,” she added. “I am a huge believer in ABA therapy.” Jenni understandably gets choked up when discussing the major changes she’s witnessed in Greyson in recent weeks: “Going from not acknowledging your name or being able to sit for literally 30 seconds to doing — I can’t even explain it,” she said. “I can’t wait to show you [his progress] by Christmas. He should have even more of an update ’cause of how fast he’s been shooting from the hip,” she said. “I feel like our next goal will be fully potty trained, [counting from] one through 20 on his own, maybe more.” “I don’t know, I feel like you’re just taking over the world one day at a time,” Now that’s the kind of Shore news we can take pleasure in reporting! Earlier this year, it looked like Porsha Williams and Dennis McKinley were basically over a short time after their daughter was born. But Dennis re-proposed and Porsha accepted … but that doesn’t mean that they’re done fighting. In fact, The Real Housewives of Atlanta cameras have captured multiple blowout quarrels — because Dennis refuses to sign a prenup. RadarOnline reports that there is zero shortage of drama between Porsha and Dennis, and Bravo’s cameras are eating it up. “Porsha and Dennis have had multiple fights on camera,” the insider reports. The source clarifies that these heated disagreements are “about the prenup.” “They have had at least two blowouts,” the insider reveals. “That were filmed for the show.” The engagement may be back on, but clearly, they still have issues to work out. They clearly love each other and they’re both parents to a beautiful baby. So why all of the fighting? “Porsha has more money than Dennis,” the source explains. “And she wants to protect everything,” the insider reasons. “Just in case it doesn’t work out after all.” That makes a lot of sense. In fact, for next season, Porsha’s raise means that she’ll rake in $1.3 million for the season. Porsha may be the breadwinner, but when it comes to reality television, Dennis is more than happy to play a part. “All of the drama is a big part of the show,” the source reveals. “And,” the insider adds. “Dennis is right there willing to film with Porsha.” He’s not the only one all too happy to pitch in to stir the pot and make Porsha more relevant and dramatic than ever. It sounds like drama may be a family trait. “And so is his mom,” the source shares. According to the insider: “They’re really good at getting the fights on camera.” And Porsha doesn’t exactly have to strongarm Dennis into playing along to help her career. “Dennis can’t stay away from the cameras,” the source characterizes. If we didn’t know any better, we might guess that they’re having these fights on purpose just to reinforce her importance on the show. Conspiracy theories aside, Millennials may be “killing” the paper napkin industry, golf, bar soap, and other things that don’t need to exist, but they’re making prenups more popular than ever. What was once a thing for rich people and their trophy wives is now increasingly commonplace. Why? Because people have realistic ideas about marriage and divorce and understnad how much people can lose. The reality is that everyone who gets married has a prenup , it’s just whatever laws your state has about division of property and assets. Look those up before you tie the knot. Don’t want to give up a family heirloom or half of your paycheck if things don’t work out? Try a prenup. Any legitimate prenup will be reviewed by attorneys on both sides. If a prenup is unfair to you or would leave you destitute, don’t sign. We don’t know the details of Porsha’s prenup that Dennis is apparently refusing to sign. The thing is that, as far as Bravo is concerned, we don’t have to. If I put on my tin foil hat for a moment, it’s easy to imagine Dennis and Porsha agreeing to make a big stink out of it for weeks or months. They’d already agree on how the drama will end. It’s been quite a humbling year for Wendy Williams, what with her husband’s rampant infidelity and the revelation that she’s residing in a sober living house following a near-fatal battle with substance abuse. You might think that those developments would have led Wendy to demonstrate an ounce of compassion for the celebrities whose lives she so eagerly tears apart on her daytime tabloid show — but that hasn’t been the case. No, Wendy is as savage as ever, and perhaps in an effort to prove to her audience that her claws are still sharp, she’s going after one of her biggest targets yet. Yes, Kylie Jenner may be the world’s youngest self-made billionaire , but if you ask Wendy, she’s nothing more than a thirsty thot. Allow us to explain: As you’re probably aware, Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin got married again this week. (The couple exchanged vows in a small civil ceremony in NYC last year. On Monday, they got hitched a second time in a church ceremony in South Carolina.) Kylie was one of the many celebs in attendance, and her dress received a considerable amount of attention on social media. Unfortunately, not all of the comments were complimentary. Instagram users accused Kylie of being “rude” with her attire and “trying to look better than the bride.” That’s the internet for ya. To be fair, Wendy did not join the chorus of haters, as she usually does in this type of situation. She did, however, throw some considerable shade Kylie’s way: “I would wear that dress in 32 seconds if I could. She looks beautiful,” Williams told her audience on Tuesday’s show. “Fans are thinking Kylie’s dress is too sexy and inappropriate to be a guest at the wedding,” Wendy continued. “Excuse me, if you’re inviting a Kardashian-Jenner to anything you have, you have to understand how they are coming through,” she continued. “All’s I’m saying is hell yeah she upstaged the bride,”Williams went on. “But you invited Kylie and Kylie’s part of a brand where sexification is always there. Kylie, you look gorge, Hailey get over it.” And there it is. To her credit, Wendy’s back-handed compliment game remains unimpeachable. Like we said, Williams refrained from grabbing her pitchfork and screaming for Kylie’s head, but “sexified”? Really? She acts like Kylie showed up to the reception naked. Was her dress revealing? Exotic? Absolutely. But you can be damn sure she wasn’t the only one who dressed to impress for one of the biggest A-list events of the year. When Tiffany Franco promised her son, Daniel, that they’d go back to the US if it wasn’t right for him, she meant it. She married Ronald Smith in South Africa and got pregnant by him, but as viewers have now seen, she decided to go back home. Does this mean that it’s over for her and Ronald? On 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way , Tiffany realized that her move to South Africa would not — could not — be permanent. “I’ve been in South Africa for more than two months now,” Tiffany acknowledged to TLC’s cameras. “And the concerns I have of living in South Africa are piling up,” she admitted. “And,” she characterized. “It’s thing after thing.” You can’t judge any country but just one location, but there’s something about seeing broken glass on a playground that makes a mom want to leave. “Ronald has become a dad to Daniel,” Tiffany expressed. She emphasized: “And I know I love him.” “But,” she noted. “I feel like my common sense is telling me, ‘Don’t live here. It isn’t safe.'” “I’m taking opportunities away from my son and my baby that’s on the way,” she confessed. And she wasn’t the only one who knew that South Africa was not the place for her family.. Daniel is such a sweet boy. Some 90 Day Fiance kids have received horrible, downright deplorable comments from fans, but not Daniel. When his mother talked to him about where to live, he knew that he had to tell her the truth. He admitted that playgrounds weren’t the only bad thing about South Africa. He genuinely did not feel safe where they lived. “I promise you I’m gonna make the best decision,” Tiffany assured him. Her goal, she explained, is always “to keep you happy and what’s best for you. I promise.” “I want to go back home,” she told Ronald in a heart-to-heart. “And apply for your visa to come to the U.S.” Ronald has real concerns about that. He may not face the racial barriers that block others, but he has a criminal record. “We’ll find a way,” Tiffany assured him. “Even though it’s a really long shot,” she acknowledged. “Considering Ronald’s criminal history,” “I can’t just move to South Africa,” Tiffany expressed. “And not at least try to get him to the U.S.” Now, moving a continent away usually means that your marriage is going to fizzle out. Not every long-distance 90 Day Fiance couple has the infinite patience of Nicole and Azan, after all. But so far, it appears that things are still good between Tifany and Ronald. The pair have been gushing about each other on social media and still referring to each other as “family.” We’re so happy for them that they are able to make it work long distance. Not every couple could do the same! Tiffany’s plan may be to make sure that, with so much uncertainty under the current unspeakable administration, her second child is an American citizen. She may also be hoping — and betting — that she’ll be able to make a stronger case for Ronald’s visa with a spousal visa than a K-1 visa. Good for Tiffany for doing what’s best for her children, even when her heart tells her to stay with Ronald. If losing a cushy, high-paying gig is anything like losing a loved one, Jenelle Evans is still in the denial stage of her grieving process.
