On Monday, September 30 the 52-year-old actress was arrested on charges of domestic battery. According to the police reports she allegedly assaulted her newly wedded husband Jeffrey Marty. While she was the one who called for police assistance she was the spouse who was put in handcuffs as Marty, who happens to be a lawyer, was found with scratches on his body. As spotted on Page Six the audio from her phone call has been released. On the recording the Bronx native is heard explaining her side of the story to the 911 operator. “We were all arguing, I asked his daughter to get out of my face, she was in my face. I pushed her back and he put me into a chokehold” she said. She goes on to detail that her hubby and his kids were in another room conspiring to frame her for the physical altercation. “They’re all saying what a b*tch I am, I’m the stepmother, how they all hate me. They’re just disrespectful, awful children” she vented. “They’re just talking with each other about how to put me in jail.” Midway through the call Marty is heard in the background. “I can’t believe you did this. I can’t believe you’d go after her like this” he exclaimed. We also share an important goal with Monkeypaw when it comes to increasing representation on-screen in the characters that are portrayed, the stories that are told, and the people who tell them.” Jordan Peele added: “It would not have been possible to make Get Out and Us without the endless trust and support we received from Donna Langley and the team at Universal. Their willingness to take risks and their commitment to original content makes them the perfect collaborative partner for Monkeypaw. I couldn’t be more excited for what lies ahead.” This union makes perfect sense with Peele’s first two projects under his Monkeypaw Pictures tentpole and Universal. 2017’s Get Out , and 2019’s Us both were critical and box office hits. Get Out is still holds the record for being the highest-grossing original picture from a writer/director with an original screenplay. Peele would go on to win the Acadamy Award for Best Original Screenplay plus earn nominations for Best Director and Picture. The film’s star Daniel Kaluuya was nominated for the Best Actor category. Us , Peele’s follow-up to Get Out broke records following its debut earlier this year. When it opened in theaters it quickly had highest-grossing opening ever for an original horror film; the highest-grossing opening ever for an R-rated movie. It also was the highest-grossing opening for a live-action original since 2009’s Avatar . Peele’s next project, a reimagining of the classic horror film Candyman, starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II ( Aquaman ) just wrapped production. Today (October 1) was supposed to be a big day for the famed first-person shooter franchise Call of Duty . The highly-anticipated mobile version of the game dropped ahead of Modern Warfare’s upcoming release. Prince Harry has taken a step that is equal parts unusual and forceful. But all parts admirable. On Tuesday, the Duke of Sussex absolutely, positively, totally and completely WENT OFF on the media for the way it has treated his beloved wife, Meghan Markle. Seriously: Harry came out swinging, you guys. Hard . “Unfortunately, my wife has become one of the latest victims of a British tabloid press that wages campaigns against individuals with no thought to the consequences – a ruthless campaign that has escalated over the past year, throughout her pregnancy and while raising our newborn son,” Harry said in this rare statement. The handsome Prince didn’t just write down a bunch of words, either. He and the Royal Family are suing The Daily Mail for publishing the content of a private letter written awhile back by Markle. We believe the letter in question is one that Meghan wrote to her estranged father , although this has not yet been confirmed by the lawsuit or anyone associated with it. Any regular celebrity gossip follower, however, must be aware overall of all the ways in which various tabloids have quoted anonymous sources that have torn into Markle on the reg. “As a couple, we believe in media freedom and objective, truthful reporting,” continued Harry in this open letter. “We regard it as a cornerstone of democracy and in the current state of the world – on every level – we have never needed responsible media more,” Sounds like a not-so-subtle dig there against President Donald Trump. But that isn’t the point here at all. Not at the moment. One can believe in the value of a free press and also believe in what Harry says next: “There is a human cost to this relentless propaganda, specifically when it is knowingly false and malicious, and though we have continued to put on a brave face – as so many of you can relate to – I cannot begin to describe how painful it has been. “Because in today’s digital age, press fabrications are repurposed as truth across the globe. “One day’s coverage is no longer tomorrow’s chip-paper. “Up to now, we have been unable to correct the continual misrepresentations – something that these select media outlets have been aware of and have therefore exploited on a daily and sometimes hourly basis.” Wow, huh? Talk about some brutal honesty from Harry. “It is for this reason we are taking legal action, a process that has been many months in the making,” he goes on. “The positive coverage of the past week from these same publications exposes the double standards of this specific press pack that has vilified her almost daily for the past nine months; “They have been able to create lie after lie at her expense simply because she has not been visible while on maternity leave. “She is the same woman she was a year ago on our wedding day, just as she is the same woman you’ve seen on this Africa tour.” This is not the first time that Harry has come to Meghan’s defense. Shortly after the couple went public with their relationship in 2016, the prince released a powerful statement, trashing what he called the racist and sexist abuse she had endured since her relationship with him was revealed. We applauded him then and we’re applauding him now. Continued Harry: For these select media this is a game, and one that we have been unwilling to play from the start. I have been a silent witness to her private suffering for too long. To stand back and do nothing would be contrary to everything we believe in. This particular legal action hinges on one incident in a long and disturbing pattern of behaviour by British tabloid media. The contents of a private letter were published unlawfully in an intentionally destructive manner to manipulate you, the reader, and further the divisive agenda of the media group in question. In addition to their unlawful publication of this private document, they purposely misled you by strategically omitting select paragraphs, specific sentences, and even singular words to mask the lies they had perpetuated for over a year. Harry, tragically, has seen first-hand what happens when a frenzied press goes too far. His mother, Princess Diana, was killed in a 1997 car crash after the vehicle in which she was a passenger sped away from a number of intruding paparazzi members. He invoked this awful incident in his statement on Tuesday. “I’ve seen what happens when someone I love is commoditised to the point that they are no longer treated or seen as a real person,” he wrote, adding: “I lost my mother and now I watch my wife falling victim to the same powerful forces.” The Duke of Sussex’s statement concluded: “We thank you, the public, for your continued support. It is hugely appreciated. Although it may not seem like it, we really need it.” KA-BOOM, huh? A legal spokesperson from Schillings, who are representing the Duchess of Sussex, added on Tuesday: “We have initiated legal proceedings against the Mail on Sunday, and its parent company Associated Newspapers, over the intrusive and unlawful publication of a private letter written by the Duchess of Sussex, which is part of a campaign by this media group to publish false and deliberately derogatory stories about her, as well as her husband. “Given the refusal of Associated Newspapers to resolve this issue satisfactorily, we have issued proceedings to redress this breach of privacy, infringement of copyright and the aforementioned media agenda.” This legal case is being privately funded by Harry and Meghan. Pending a court ruling, proceeds from any damages will be donated to an anti-bullying charity. So much for those Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott marriage rumors. Heck, so much for those rumors of Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott simply going to see a movie this week together or something. In a stunning development that has taken the Internet by storm and surprise, this seemingly stable couple has chosen to break up. Neither half of the famous couple has confirmed this news, but multiple outlets have reported it as fact. This, for example, comes from a People Magazine insider: They are taking some time but not done. They still have some trust issues but their problems have stemmed more from the stress of their lifestyles. And this is from an E! News source: Kylie and Travis aren’t officially calling it quits on their relationship, but are taking space apart. It’s not a firm split. They’ve been fighting again, but have still seen each other within this last month. E!, of course, is the network that airs Keeping Up with the Kardashians, meaning it is locked in to the inner workings of this family and would never issue such a statement if it weren’t true. Scott and Jenner had been together for over two years. They appeared to be nothing more than a fling at first, only for Kylie to get pregnant with a girl after just a few months of dating the rapper. She and the artist then defied expectations and remained together through said pregnancy and then for over a year since welcoming daughter Stormi Webster into the world in February 2018. We did report on hints of a split just two weeks ago, but Kylie seemed to quell such chatter shortly afterwards by sharing a new photo of herself and Scott. And now… this. Back in March, Scott canceled a tour date in Buffalo after speculation grew rampant that he had been cheating. The couple put those rumors to rest awhile back, it appeared, by taking multiple vacations together this summer and coming across as inseperable as ever. So, what happened here? Why are they now on at the minimum a break and, at maximum, a total break up ? “They fight over ridiculous things and Kylie can be very skeptical about Travis,” the E! source explains. “Travis has been stressed with dropping new music.” It is worth noting that Scott did not accompany Kylie to Justin Bieber’s wedding in South Carolina on Monday night. This didn’t stop the 22-year old from having a blast, however. “Kylie had a glass of champagne in her hand and was dancing with Stormi on the dance floor at one point,” E! reports. “Kris was holding her a lot of the night. Kylie also had a cocktail drink at her table in front of her.” Jenner and Scott were last seen together at the premiere of Scott’s Netflix documentary, Travis Scott: Look Mom I Can Fly on August 28. They had often hinted that their relationship was headed toward marriage. In addition to referring to each other as “hubby” and “wifey” on numerous occasions, Kylie also rocked a massive diamond ring on her left hand. However, the Kylie Cosmetics founder assured Paper magazine in February that she would “let everybody know” when an engagement occurred. For his part, Travis talked openly about proposing someday . “We’ll get married soon,” he told Rolling Stone late last year, adding of his baby’s mama: “People don’t understand how real my girl is… They have assumptions, bullshit-ass remarks of what they think is going on. It’s old news that Tyler Cameron will not be the Bachelor , but he’s still near and dear to the hearts of many in the Bachelor Nation. And let’s face it, folks: Gigi Hadid and Hannah Brown are not the only ones who think that he’s hot af. And he was very into Hannah. Tyler is now opening up frankly about how hid his very visible excitement from ABC’s cameras after his steamy makeouts with Hannah. A quick note: generations ago, the word “boner” meant a simple blunder . But we’re talking about erections , so read at your own risk. Tyler Cameron was a guest on The Ringer’s Bachelor Party podcast to reflect upon his time on The Bachelorette . Specifically, the unnecessarily handsome model discussed how to keep things ABC-appropriate while getting hot and heavy. Tyler joked that his “pants were so tight they just held everything down,” which as we all know, is not enough to effectively hide a penis. But he reveals that he had a very close call during week five. See, Hannah and her suitors traveled to Scotland. It was only natural that the men try on kilts to put themselves on display for Hannah’s amusement. But while kilts were designed specifically so that wearers could conceal more knives on their person, they’re less effective at masking an erection. Tyler notes that things got “pretty heavy” when he and Hannah were “hooking up” inside a nearby castle. It’s awkward every single time, but Tyler should know that he’s not alone. Tyler Cameron is a walking thirst trap, so there’s no shortage of fans who are glad that he took time out of his day to discuss his dong. But he also reasies an interesting topic for discussion — namely, why doesn’t ABC do more to help its stars keep themselves TV-appropriate. If two people are making out and at least one of them has a penis, everybody knows that there’s going to be an erection. Perhaps future seasons of The Bachelorette should have a cooldown moment where the pair stand apart and take a breath. Then they can walk and talk on camera together after their makeout. Well, it’s October 1, which means Spooky Season is officially upon us. And no one is more active on the ‘Gram than Jill Duggar. This could be because Jill is unemployed and has a lot of time on her hands, or it could be … actually, that’s the only reason we can think of. Of course, this wasn’t some cool metal song about death, but a Christian pop-hymn about the possibility with lyrics that contemplate the afterlife. The song, “10,000 Reasons” by Matt Redman, finds the singer contemplating where he’ll spend the next “ten thousand years.” Jill linked to the full version and posted several clips, demonstrating a preference for the verses about “when the end draws near.” “Can I get an Amen?!! Thankful this morning for God’s goodness!” Jill captioned the pic. Naturally, she received many “amen”s — but several fans confessed to being a little freaked out by the sentiment. None of this is surprising, of course, as the Duggars have always been big on the scare tactic brand of Christianity. Tori Roloff is so very close to becoming a mother for the second time. She’s due to give birth next month, you guys. How exciting, right?!? So then… why is the Little People, Big World star actually feeling so down at the moment? The veteran reality star, who has been very open in regard to the challenges of this latest pregnancy, took to Instagram on Monday and opened up once again. She explained why she’s thrilled, of course, that she’s so close to meeting her impending daughter. But, well… “The last few days have really been a struggle for me. This last stage of pregnancy has hit me hard. I get so frustrated not being able to do things on my own,” she wrote to open a caption to the gorgeous photo below. What does she mean, exactly? Tori continued as follows: “I carried 6 towels up the stairs this morning to do some laundry and have been winded ever since. I’ve never been good at asking for help and these days that’s all I ever do.” Tori is carrying an actual human being inside of her womb. We’re pretty sure she’s doing plenty of work these days, but we’re also pretty sure millions of women around the world can relate to her right now. Concluded Roloff in this message: I know this is a time to be selfish and slow down but it’s so hard to sit around while my husband works and my 2 year old wants attention. I constantly feel serious FOMO. I know it’s all worth it and I’m doing such an important job but I can’t wait to tie my shoes on my own again. So very relatable, right? It must be difficult for young Jackson to understand that his mother just can’t be there for him in all the typical ways at the moment. Tori and Zach are due to welcome a girl right around Thanksgiving. Just over a month later, Audrey and Jeremy Roloff will welcome a boy . And then some time after that, Amy Roloff will marry Chris Marek! Indeed, it’s a time for some major milestones for this family and we’re just appreciative that they let us celebrate along with them. Tori, meanwhile, continues to earn our admiration for her honesty. Two months after her pregnancy announcement, the TLC star admitted opened up about how self-conscious she was feeling. “I’m not sick (anymore) and I haven’t had any complications (thank the Lord),” she wrote on social media at the time. Roloff then added: “However, I have had a harder time accepting my body this go around. I’ve gotten bigger a lot faster than I did with Jackson and I’ve become a lot more insecure… “It’s been hard to really enjoy this pregnancy because I’ve let my own body image issues get in the way. After this week's new episode of Dancing With The Stars , Hannah Brown continues to dazzle on the dancefloor. If only she were that lucky at love. But sometimes, the things we most want to find show up when we finally stop looking for them. Has Hannah found the man of her dreams, not on a televised date, but in her dance partner Alan Bersten? Hannah Brown went from hopping around the globe looking for her man to lighting up the dancefloor and looking for victory. Her dance partner is the young and handsome Alan Bersten, and the two are definitely one of the most talented and graceful teams this season. Naturally, some fans had to wonder if their chemistry on the dance floor translated to chemistry off camera. When Hannah held an Instagram Q&A, one of her fans straight-up asked her if she and Bersten are “a thing.” Hannah could have ignored the question — but instead, she answered. “Um, yeah, we’re a thing,” Hannah's reply begins in the video that we have included. She then delivers her punchline: “Team Alanbama Hannah.” That's right, Alanbama . Very cute that she found a way to include his name without mashing it directly with hers. (Also, trying to mash up Hannah and Alan runs the very strong risk of the word anal appearing) In other words, if she and Alan are enjoying any windmills together, she's certainly not ready to reveal it. Another clip that Hannah shared to her Instagram involves her, still wtih Alan, discussing how much she enjoys training and improving. “OK, so we obviously have to look at each other when we dance,” Hannah shares. It's part of most dancers, naturally. “And when I had not been doing a step right and then I finally get it right,” she continues. “I can always tell by his face.” Hannah exclaims: “and I’m like, ‘Yes!’ That’s my favorite thing!” Alan, in the same video, makes it clear that he's not giving her super subtle facial cues. “I smile when she gets it right,” Alan explains while flashing a dazzling smile of his own at Hannah's phone. “And,” he raves. “I just love dancing with her.” Alan expresses that “it’s a lot of fun.” We're sure that it is! The two of them move so beautifully across the dance floor and have been doing very well. Bobby Bones spoke to Life & Style about the all-too-familiar speculation that Hannah and Alan have faced. “They’re not dating,” Bobby says. “I mean they tried to rumor me with Sharna because we were both single,” he recalls. “Look, I know Alan,” Bobby notes. “I don’t feel like they’re dating and if you get two single people, you’re just going to assume that they’re together.” “I don’t think they’re dating, but it’s a very intimate thing,” he says of dancing. Bobby explains: “You’re so close with that person the whole time, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens.” Unfortunately, even if Hannah and Alan were boning, Hannah might have good reason to keep that knowledge to herself. She has faced a tremendous amount of slut-shaming from some truly reprehensible “fans” of The Bachelorette . Sex is a normal, though not universal, part of dating, yet some viewers acted scandalized that Hannah took the whole “dating” thing seriously. Some of them were just horny for Luke Parker and so they sided with him when he got extra weird, but others seem to just … have a problem with women. Sadly, whoever Hannah next dates, she's likely to face further shaming. It's hugely unfair. But at least she's a stellar dancer!
It's been five months since Jenelle Evans was fired by MTV. But since Teen Mom 2 was on hiatus at the time, we're only now finding out how the show will fare without its primary source of drama. So far, it seems the answer is – not well. Not well at all. According to The Ashley's Reality Roundup, ratings have been on the decline for years, but have taken a particularly sharp dive of late. In fact, they've suffered their most significant drop yet in the first episodes of Season 9B … a.k.a. the first episodes without Jenelle. Can the show survive without its most infamous star? Will the numbers drop so low that MTV will be forced to try and win her back? Even if that happened, does Jenelle have any interest in returning to the reality TV franchise that made her famous … and infamous? Here's what we know about the situation thus far: 1. The End of an Era Yes, after nearly a decade on camera, three children and more ups and downs than we can even count, Jenelle Evans is no longer a Teen Mom 2 cast member. And it seems the show is already suffering without its most marketable star. 2. A Controversial Star Jenelle was liked by many viewers, and even those who hated her loved to watch her. In fact, based on social media comments, it often felt as though the only thing preventing some viewers from fast-forwarding through Jenelle’s scenes was the joy of “hate-watching.” 3. The Nugget Incident Over the years, producers put up with a LOT of unseemly behavior from the Carolina Hurricane over the years, but they finally drew the line when she defended her husband after he beat, shot, and killed her French bulldog puppy, Nugget. 4. Put Out to Pasture Following that horrifying incident (and the ensuing CPS investigation that briefly cost Evans’ custody of her kids), MTV executives basically did to Jenelle’s career what David did to Nugget. 5. Good Riddance? To the immense satisfaction of many viewers fed up with her nonsense, Jenelle was fired from the show that made her famous. And since David had already been canned by producers, the Evans-Eason era was officially at an end. 6. The Last Laugh?
