Chicago Fire Creator Explains Stunning Season Premiere Death

WARNING! CHICAGO FIRE SPOILERS AHEAD! Stop reading right now if you have not yet watched Chicago Fire Season 8 Episode 1 — and if you have plans to do so.  Over the past 7 seasons, Chicago Fire has certainly included its fair share of heartbreaking storylines and near-death experiences. However, this intense and shocking season premiere took things to an entirely new level, basically eliminating the whole near -death part of the experience. The episode picked up mere seconds after season 7 cut to black, with the basement fire threatening everyone’s lives. While everyone seemed to be accounted for, Joe Cruz heard the distress signal alarm going off, which informed the group that a firefighter was not breathing. GULP .  It was at this point that he found Otis… badly burnt and unconscious. But no way would the series kill him off, right? Sorry, folks: Wrong. Once everyone arrived to the hospital, while Otis was still breathing, the group was informed he wouldn’t make it. Otis is dead, you guys. Before taking his final breath, Otis turned to Cruz in the hospital and said a Russian phrase. It translated to: “Brother, I will be with you, always.” Cue ALL the tears. WHY DID THE SHOW DECIDE TO KILL OFF OTIS? We’ve had characters injured and characters leave the show, but if you keep pulling that football then the audience just stops believing that the dangerous situations are actually dangerous. So we decided we should do it. We should make this one really have consequences that set up the new season and have characters having to now deal with the death of a colleague in their own ways. HOW WILL CRUZ MOVE FORWARD FROM HERE? It’s gonna be a rough road. He’s gonna deal with it, honestly, in a cycle of emotions, in a cycle of different ways and it’s gonna last a while. I do think there are good days and there are bad days for everyone. I know when my father-in-law died, who I was really close with, I called it “Catching a wave.” Every now and then you just get this wave that would hit you in the least expected moment. So I think we’re gonna see those kind of things and not just with Cruz, with other characters too. ON A SEPARATE NOTE, WHERE ARE THINGS GOING BETWEEN SEVERIDE AND KIDD? I think he’s gonna try to live up to the words that he said to her in the finale, just to be the boyfriend, the man that she deserves. There’s gonna be pressures on them, but it’s not pressures on their relationship as much as external pressures on them as people. What’s interesting about it is the way that they support each other. Blake Horstmann: I Got DEATH THREATS for Posting Caelynn’s Texts!

Blake Horstmann went from Paradise to hot water this summer when he published Caelynn Miller-Keyes’ lewd texts for all to see. The Bachelor Nation was understandably disturbed this this breach of privacy, but some took it too far. Blake’s family was bombarded with furious messages from strangers. And Blake himself received death threats. Blake Horstmann was a guest on Bachelor Happy Hour with Rachel & Ali to discuss the fallout form his choices. Speaking on the podcast, he related how intense the backlash got after he exposed Caelynn’s private text messages. “My family started getting DMs … and when your family comes in [the picture], it changed everything for me,” Blake expresses. “I was just like, ‘Yes, this is hard,'” he admits. “Lots of death threats,” Blake recalls. “My grandma started getting DM’s at one point.” Caelynn Miller-Keyes revealed on Bachelor in Paradise that Blake had hooked up with her — but not only her. She was not the only member of the Bachelor Fam whom he boffed. When he seemed to almost ignore her in Paradise, she did not take it well and explained exactly why. Blake retaliated as the episodes aired by exposing their private text messages on social media. He felt that they told his side of the story — that yes, he boned Kristina Schulman and Caelynn on back-to-back nights at the same festival. But he says that he didn’t just smash and run, and he felt that Caelynn had implied that he’d ghosted her after poundtown. “That night,” Blake relates. “When I released those text messages I was breathing into a paper bag.” “It was incredibly difficult for me,” he admits. “A decision like that,” he says. “You do reach out for advice and especially advice from people who have been in situations like me in Bachelor Nation.” “A lot of people,” Blake shares. “They didn’t even really say, ‘No, don’t do it.’ They were like ‘If you do it, know what the consequences are.'” “I did reach out and there were a few that were like ‘The things she’s saying, you have to do it. I don’t see any other choice,'” he claims. “When people say it was premeditated or whatever,” Blake says. “it was such a hard decision for me.” “I felt like that was the only thing I could do to get my truth out there,” Blake insists. He adds: “because I didn’t know a lot of things she was saying when I was down there.” “Had I known that she said I was silencing her and all of these things,” Blake says. “I would have addressed it on the beach with her.” “But I had no idea she was saying those things,” he repeats. Blake concludes: “And, so when I watched it, I was shook.” Shooketh though he may have been, releasing somebody else’s texts was the wrong call. Caelynn was discussing how she felt after their hookup and then non-reunion in Paradise.  His texts didn’t prove anything except that he’s the kind of guy who releases text messages to the public from his sexual partner. Kailyn Lowry: Javi Marroquin Has Been Cheating on Lauren Comeau Since She Was Pregnant!

Last month, Javi Marroquin and Lauren Comeau broke up after he was caught cheating on her in the couple's Delaware home. Adding insult to injury was the fact that Javi barely made an effort to conceal his infidelity, hooking up with his side-piece while Lauren was asleep upstairs. But hey, at least he used to be more stealthy about his cheating! At least that's the claim being made by Kailyn Lowry, who says that Javi has been hooking up with other women since the time when Lauren was pregnant with his baby. We're guessing Comeau is starting to have some regrets about getting back together with Javi so soon! Here's what happened: 1. Past and Present If anyone can empathize with Lauren’s plight, it’s Kailyn. Lowry used to be married to Javi, and she says he cheated on her repeatedly over the course of their brief marriage. 2. Shady Baby Daddy Javi and Lauren welcomed a child back in November. Shortly thereafter, they got engaged and bought a house together. 3. Thrown Away That all came tumbling down when Lauren opened her bathroom door and caught Javi hooking up with a woman who belongs to the gym that he owns. 4. What a Scene To make matters worse, Javi and Lauren’s house was full of guests at the time. The situation escalated so quickly that Marroquin wound up calling the police to have his sister removed from the premises. 5. Kail Gets the Call One person who wasn’t on hand for this debacle was Kailyn, who was at home sleeping — at least until her phone started to ring. 6. A Different Perspective Kail opened up about the incident during a recent episode of her Coffee Convos podcast — and her commentary came as a major surprise to some fans. View Slideshow

Cassie Randolph Slams Breakup Rumors: Colton Underwood and I Are Mostly Good!

Cassie Randolph is getting real about her relationship with Colton Underwood and she would like everyone to know — they’re fine! Last night, the reality star shared a sweet photo along with a novel-lengthed post to Instagram where she opened up about the “scrutiny” she and Colton have faced since their time on the ABC dating show. She also took the chance to slam circulating breakup reports, which she apparently stumbled upon somewhere. Frustrated Cassie cleared the air by letting the world know that she and Colton are “good and happy,” but acknowledged that life after The Bachelor hasn’t been a walk in the park.  …Though one would certainly think so from the looks of their adorable Instagram posts. I guess life isn’t always as good as it looks. “Is our relationship perfect?” Cassie’s post began, “No, it is very normal with its ups and downs and compromises.” “Despite the microscope on our relationship, we are trying to stay focused on what is important and grow in the direction of getting stronger and closer everyday.” “We know that in order for us to work, we need to focus on each other and not the craziness that sometimes surrounds us, and stay grounded,” she wrote. Adding, “We are good!”  Randolph also opened up about her current struggle of trying to find the balance between her newfound stardom, grad school, and her personal life,  “At times the stress has made me question what the heck I am doing and those close to me have also questioned me as they see me burning the candle at both ends and at times more stressed than I should be,” she explained. “Some of the changes haven’t just affected my life, but those close to me too.” But luckily for Cass, it sounds like Colton is patiently supporting her — even if that means there will not be an engagement in their near future . “To be even more transparent,” she continued, “being in such a public relationship comes with its own set of added issues to manage. Our every move together is analyzed and every word is dissected.” “At times it can feel like our relationship status isn’t just a matter of our own happiness, but other people’s happiness too,” she explained.  Unlike most love stories that come out of the Bachelor franchise, Colton and Cassie decided to date instead of rush into a proposal.  A totally smart and practical move!  But Cassie, who can’t help but feel like the entire world is waiting for him to put a ring on it, says they’re still figuring out what their future together might look like. “Not only have we developed a deepening love for one another, but an amazing friendship bond has grown from this too,” she reassured her fans.  “Bottom line, even though our relationship was born out of crazy and unnatural circumstances, our goal is to develop a healthy, NORMAL relationship as much as possible.” And as for their future, well she says it’s TBD. “We’ve found that when we put too much focus on the future, we miss out on the present and enjoying the moment,” she explained.  “We both are learning so much in this and more than anything, we are both right where we want to be…happy…thankful….learning….growing!” Got it! Tristan Thompson: Hell Yeah, I’m Gonna Win Back Khloe!!

Apparently, Tristan Thompson just cannot take a hint, and leaving thirsty comments on Khloe’s photos is just the tip of the iceberg. Khloe is so done with him after he cheated on her with, it seems, every hot woman in sight even after his first cheating scandal. A new report says that Tristan is working behind the scenes to worm his way back into Khloe’s heart — and her bed. In Touch Weekly reports that Khloe Kardashian isn’t out of the woods when it comes to not being in a relationship with a rampant cheater. “Tristan hasn’t given up on Khloe,” an insider warns about the reality star’s athletic baby daddy. “And,” the source adds, Tristan “s always playing mind games with her.” Oh, dear. That’s not good — because if his games work, Khloe could end up accepting him back before she even realizes it. Some cheaters are aggressive manipulators and know just which buttons to push.  “She is too easy on him,” the insider opines. Certainly, that was the case in 2018 when she took him back within days of the scandal breaking. “And,” the source laments, Khloe believes that she “can’t be cold to him.” Khloe is under this impression “because she always wants to keep a happy home for True.” “That’s why she can never completely cut him off,” the insider explains. Tristan may be barkign up Khloe’s tree, but her entire family is united in wanting to shoo him away. “Tristan knows that the family doesn’t want them back together,” the source reveals. “So,” the insider explains. “He is trying to weasel his way back.” Oh, of course he is. See, Tristan knows that if he gets Khloe to accept him again, she’ll make her family do the same. That’s what went down in 2018. Khloe revealed that he’s been pulling this kind of thing for a while. On Keeping Up With The Kardashians , she shared an incident in which Tristan tried to act as if they were still dating. “He’s like, ‘Do you want to grab a glass of wine?’” Khloe recalled. “I’m like, ‘It must say dumb f–king whore on my forehead,’” Wow, I can’t believe that Khloe and I have the same tattoo! “And then he’s like, ‘Can I have a hug?’” she adds. “So, I one-arm hugged him, but that’s not enough.” Well, it will simply have to be. “He tried to kiss me,” Khloe revealed. “I’m like, ‘That’s the problem with you. You can’t just take what you get.’” she expressed. Apparently, he still didn’t get the message, as he texted her the next morning. “‘Thank you for letting me see True. She looked great, and you looked even better,’” Khloe quoted the text. That first sentence would have sufficed. Don’t turn talk about your daughter into being horny for your baby mama. The thing about people like Tristan — famous, wealthy, hot men — is that their behavior doesn’t make sense. He has to decide: does he want a fellow celebrity to be his wife and the mother of his child? Or does he want a harem, or to be allowed to roam free and bang whomever he chooses, possibly with a wife at home who doesn’t mind? Because plenty of women woudl be fine with a simple majority share of Tristan’s dong instead of sole ownership. But Khloe isn’t one of them. If Tristan is unhappy, it’s entirely his own doing. Big Brother Crowns Winner, Addresses Racism and Sexism and Other Terrible Stuff

Welp, that was quite a ride, wasn’t it? On Wednesday night, not only did Big Brother name yet another seasonal champion — but host Julie Chen also addressed the rampant racism and sexism that plagued the reality show all summer long. First, though, the program narrowed down its final three to a final two. After winning the first part of the three-part final Head of Household competition, Michie got to sit out part two, meaning it came down to Nicole and Holly in a mental and physical battle. Unfortunately for former, she came up three minutes short, which basically ended her game. Granted, she campaigned as best she could. But she simply stood no chance against the Season 21 showmance. In the end, she lost to Michie by one question. This is where things got interesting… Before revealing the winner — but after the vote to keep things as fair as possible with a sequestered jury — Chen brought out the evicted HouseGuests who’d already gone home. And who therefore were able to watch how the season played out. What followed was actually sort  of interesting: candid conversation about perceived racism and sexism in the house, led mostly by Jack, Jackson, Christie and Nick. Jack offered up what sounded like a sincere apology to Kemi after she called out all four and hoped they would grow as people form this incident. Also addressed on the finale? That moment when Gr8ful barred Nicole from the Head of the Household room while they were trash-talking her and her game (thanks to Isabella’s duplicity), which many — including Ovi and Nicole — saw as a bullying moment. “I was very frustrated [in that moment],” Nicole confessed, adding: “I’m a very big advocate for being an upstander, don’t be a bystander, and a lot of people in that room were bystanders and they were part of it. And I wasn’t even allowed in the room to advocate for myself or defend myself, or shut it down. “They just locked me out and continued to have their little funfest.” Now, on to the winner and the jury deliberations… Those in charge of the season’s fate called out Michie for his more aggressive and potentially damaging social game, while also laying into Holly for her under-the-radar strategy. In the end, Michie was rewarded for his bold playing style — although he didn’t exactly jump up and down upon winning. “I did it for my family,” he told Chen. “I did it for my mom and I did it for my dad. And at the end of the day, what matters more to me than the half a million is that they’re proud of me. I just hope that everything’s alright.” Later on, talking to Entertainment Weekly,  Michie spoke openly about accusations of racism and sexism against him. “I know who I am and I know who I’m not, and I respect women more than anything,” he told EW, continuing as follows; “I’m very abrasive and I have a lot of energy and passion in everything I say and do. And I’m that way toward everyone. “And is it right? No. I know that I need to work on it and tone it down in a lot of areas, but I don’t see race or gender or anyone when I’m having a conversation. “And if someone upsets me, they upset me the same way that a guy would.” It’s very silly, of course, for anyone to say he doesn’t “see race or gender.” That’s just dumb. It’s fine to see race or gender. It’s a good thing! Just be respectful of people’s differences. “I’m an only child and I’m a mama’s boy at heart and I love my mom to death, but I know who I am and I know not. And I truly do respect women,” Michie concluded. “I hate that someone may think that out there.”

Meghan Markle to Princess Beatrice: Stop Stealing My Spotlight, Bish

Being born into a royal family is generally a pretty sweet deal. Sure, the days of beheading some peasants while downing a few goblets of mead and gnawing on a giant turkey leg may have come to an end, but you still get that whole unfathomable wealth and privilege thing. That said, there’s a hierarchy within every royal family and if you’re the low prince or princess on the totem pole, you may find that your day-to-day life bears a distressingly close resemblance to that of the peasants you should be beheading. Take Princess Beatrice, for example. As the daughter of Jeffrey Epstein chum and possible pedo Prince Andrew, Lady Bea hasn’t received much in the way of favorable press coverage in recent weeks. Obviously, she shouldn’t be forced to answer for the sins of her father, but she’s already a “lesser” royal, and the scandal’s not exactly working wonders for her reputation. So perhaps it’s no coincidence that Beatrice chose today to announce her engagement to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. “We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement,” the couple said in an official statement issued this morning. “We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married. If you’re just now hearing about the engagement, well … we guess you can take that as evidence of Bea’s status as a second- or third-tier royal. But it’s still a royal engagement , so Bea’s new bling is making headlines in the UK. Some say the announcement — and possibly the engagement itself — were carefully orchestrated in order to distract from the Epstein mess. Others say Beatrice had pettier reasons for the timing. As you may have heard Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are currently in South Africa as part of an official royal tour There’s a longstanding rumor that Beatrice is envious of all the attention that Meg receives from the media. So did she time her engagement to steal the Sussexes thunder during their big tour? Probably not, but this is the internet in 2019, so you better believe there’s a rumor to that effect! “Convenient for Beatrice to announce her engagement while Harry and Meghan are on tour. Great timing I must say,” one Meg fan tweeted today. “Remember after the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan, later on they announce the wedding of Eugenie,” echoed another. “Lol… now after Baby Archie’s first appearance they announce this upcoming wedding.” Of course, it’s possible that Beatrice got engaged because she’s in love and she shared the news right away simply because she’s excited. Unfortunately, there are two big problems with that explanation: 1. It’s boring. 2. Ya know who gets the benefit the doubt? A-list royals, baby! Amy Roloff Shares New Engagement Details, Photos from the Big Night

By now, if you’re at all a fan of Little People, Big World, you must be aware of the good news: Amy Roloff is engaged!!!! The beloved reality star confirmed this amazing development just a few days ago, sitting with brand new fiance Chris Marek and saying the following to People Magazine… “I’m excited, I’m so surprised, I’m thrilled! “I never in a million years thought I’d be getting married again, but I also hoped for it! Now that it’s happening, I couldn’t be happier or more excited.” We couldn’t help but snicker a little over this claim of surprise, considering ALL the rumors of an engagement that had been floating around Amy and Chris for months. And also considering how often the topic was broached with Roloff herself. Amy, meanwhile, has since posted a photo of her gorgeous ring — and has now updated her Instagram page with a few more details from the big night itself. “A lot has happened to me this past week and a half (more later)but I wanted to share again A beautiful event that happened in my life,” wrote Amy as a caption to the photos above and below, adding: “I never had a clue or expected it. “Chris and I celebrated our 3rd year anniversary of dating last Wednesday. And to my wonderful happy surprise he proposed and asked me to marry him!” Oh wow. We knew the proposal took place right after Amy’s birthday. But not that it also coincided with the couple’s anniversary. How special and perfect! Roloff went on to include quite a few heart and ring emjois in her caption, concluding as follows: I couldn’t believe it it! I cried, he had tears and of course I said YES!. I’m engaged and couldn’t be happier. I love this man so much. Of course, A day later i had to celebrate the news w/ two of my closest friends – Lisa and Debi. I’m blessed. I’m happy. I’m so looking forward to continuing our life journey together. The TLC personality also hinted that the wedding would take place next year sometime, using the hashtag #2021 toward the end of her message. This does make a lot of sense: Amy and her family will have plenty to deal with over the next several months: Zach and Tori Roloff are expecting a baby around Thanksgiving, while Audrey and Jeremy are then expecting one just over a month later. How exciting for everyone involved! We haven’t yet seen any of Amy’s children comment publicly on her engagement, but ex-husband Matt actually sent along his congratulations , which was awfully nice of him. Mary Duggar’s Home Goes Up For Sale Months After Her Tragic Death

Do you happen to be a resident of Arkansas who is looking to buy a new home? If so, we may have the perfect place for you.  Especially if you happen to be a fan of the Duggar family and don’t mind that a tragic accident took place in the backyard. It’s safe to say this year hasn’t been an easy one for the Duggar family, considering the devastating loss of their beloved Grandma Mary back in June . The family’s matriarch passed away after she reportedly slipped into her swimming pool in the back of her house and drowned. Fans assumed that after her death, one of the many family members would continue to take care of and/or live in Mary’s 4,000-square-foot home, however, it seems that is not the case as it has been listed for sale .  The house is located in Springdale, Arkansas and offers four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, along with many other amazing features. “Rare find for the price,” read the real estate website description. “Lifestyle quality home on 1.52-acre country lot with pool and shop/office building!  “Soaring ceilings, heavy crown molding, heavy plantation shudders, double stair case, granite countertops and many craftsman features.” “Large Master Suite, bonus room, office/study,” the post continued.  And yes, the description even gave the Duggars a nice little shout out by mentioning that there is a great area to homeschool the kiddos !  “1600 sq.ft. metal shop building has 972 sq. ft shop with 628 sq. ft. of a.c/heat in office/homeschool area with half bath,” it read.  “Plenty of room for family and friend entertainment and the many projects you have in mind!” Of course, the website does not talk about the accident that occurred in the pool, though there are many photos of the pool itself and the backyard area. It must also be noted that Grandma Duggar lived just down the road from Jim Bob and Michelle’s complex, so again, if you happen to be a big Duggar fan and are looking for your next home, you’re welcome. The new trailer for the upcoming season of Counting On  revealed that Mary’s death and the funeral will be covered on the family show, including more details about what exactly happened on that dreadful day. We’re sure we will likely get a glimpse into all the bittersweet memories that took place inside Mary’s beautiful home, as well.  Even cousin Amy Duggar opened up on her Instagram Stories last month about how hard it was to go through her grandmother’s belongings, reminiscing on how they would sit on the stairs together at her house and talk. Unfortunately, Grandma Mary’s death was not the only tragedy this family had to face in recent times.  Joy-Anna Duggar and her husband lost their baby girl due to a miscarriage , and last year, Josiah and Lauren Duggar also went through a similar experience. Variety is reporting from a source that Ye’s Jesus Is King album will not be dropping on Friday (September 27). Here we go again. Despite the publication sharing information, it got from a source close to the situation, West’s wife, Kim Kardashian, is doubling down on the Friday release date. The reality star retweeted a picture from an account belonging to someone named “Colin” who Yeezy does follow. 2 more days Jesus is King pic.twitter.com/ZKqmqkMeHZ — colin (@colinags) September 25, 2019 Per Variety : A meeting about the album between West and Def Jam executives recently took place in the rapper’s occasional home base of Wyoming, where he staged a massive event to launch his “Ye” album last year (news of the meeting and the album’s delay was  first reported by Hits ). West held one of his semi-weekly church-like “Sunday Services” in Wyoming last weekend, which was attended by super-producer Rick Rubin — who came in during the final stages two of West’s last three solo albums, “Yeezus” and “Life of Pablo,” and met with him the month before “Ye” dropped — so his presence suggests that an album is finished. Fans and Hip-Hop enthusiasts are no strangers to Ye’s theatrics as of late when it comes to releasing his albums. Kanye fans waited for the Yandhi which was supposed to drop in September 2018. The project was delayed multiple times while West was hanging out in Africa before subsequently being shelved. Then there were the ambitious five albums in five weeks rollout that didn’t follow the schedule at all. Instead, we got a watered-down version of Teyana Taylor’s G.O.O.D. Music debut, a subpar Nas album, and two forgettable Ye featured joints. At least we got some pure raw from Pusha T though. Lets also not forget The Life of Pablo’s disastrous rollout that saw the perfectionist continuously re-record and mix the album well after its release. Well if Kim says it’s still coming on Friday then hey we gotta belive his wife right? She was the one who broke the news of the album’s existence in the first place.
