Source: Earl Gibson III / Getty On Monday, The Washington Post reported that the Women’s March cut ties with three of its founding members — Tamika Mallory, Bob Bland, and Linda Sarsour — and replaced them by electing three new members of the board as directors. That information, however, was not accurate. NewsOne recently obtained the Women’s March by-laws and they show that Bland, Mallory and Sarsour were serving two-year terms as directors. Those terms have expired, which means, by rule, at least three new directors had to be elected. However, according to the by-laws, one of those directors must be one of the co-chairs of the 2017 Women’s March on Washington and the “director shall be nominated by the Founding Co-Chairs Committee.” This is why Carmen Perez , the fourth founding member who is also on the new board, maintains her position since she was one of the co-chairs of the 2017 march. According to the by-laws, “Any director may resign at any time by giving written notice to a Co-President or Secretary of the Corporation.” The by-laws also state that “Any director may be removed, with cause, by a vote of a majority of the members or by a vote of a majority of the entire Board.” Contrary to mainstream reporting , Mallory, Bland and Sarsour did not step down or cut ties with the Women’s March because of past controversy such as the anti-Semitism accusations aimed at the group. Instead their terms as directors merely expired and they are liable to return to official positions in the future. Though past controversies could have been brought up when discussing transitions, there is no proof so far that this is the case. According to the by-laws, “the directors shall be elected every two years at a meeting of members, and each shall continue in office until her or his successor shall have been duly elected and qualified, or until her or his death, resignation or removal.” Meanwhile, the new 17-member board is made up of diverse activists, including a former legislator, a transgender organizer, two religious leaders and a member of the Oglala tribe of the Lakota nation. The founding board members spent a little over two years finding new members who can serve on the board for the next two years. They recruited a committee to help select the applications after an open call was announced in March. Little People, Big World star and social media mainstay Audrey Roloff has been through a great deal over the past few days. By her own candid admission. In a revealing and heart-shattering new Instagram post, the TLC reality personality explains why she’s been going through some hard times. Or some “pretty intense roses and thorns,” as she and husband Jeremy Roloff sometimes say on their podcast. The main reason why? She has lost a friend named Jarrid Wilson to suicide. “On Ember’s 2nd birthday we found out that our friend Jarrid took his own life,” wrote Audrey online, adding in awful detail: “It was shocking and absolutely heart-breaking news. I couldn’t breathe when I found out and sobbed for hours.” “Ember saw my tears, “Sad mama?” We sat on the couch together and she kept giving my pats on my shoulder and saying: “It’s ok mama, no more crying, happy mama?” “When I kept crying she would wipe away my tears and say, “blow mama, blow” and she would show me how to blow just like I do with her when she’s upset. Cue more tears.” Seriously, now we’re crying. Audrey, who is expecting a boy in January 2020 , continued in her post: “Jarrid and his wife Juli have been such faithful encouragers and good friends since before we were married.” The 28-year-old Roloff continued: “As we’ve been crying, processing, and praying, we’ve felt all the emotions that come with loss – anger, confusion, hurt, shock, etc.” A woman of strong faith, Audrey then turned her focus to religion and how she has tried to cope with this tragedy: “This past week I just keep thinking about @itsjuliwilson and her two boys and praying in desperation.” Anyone who has experienced anything similarly tragic can relate. “Praying that Lord would give those boys peace that surpasses understanding. That Juli would be flooded with prayer, love, encouraging truth, practical help, and compassion.” “That Jarrid’s life would be honored well.” “That people who struggle with anxiety, depression, and mental illness would not lose hope. And ultimately, that people who don’t struggle with mental illness would be compassionate.” At this point, much to our extreme admiration, Audrey wrote about the sort of troubles that inflict many people who take their own lives: Mental illnesss has a lot of stigma around it, unfortunately especially in the church. I think we can be better, especially in times of mourning, to be less critical and more compassionate. To be quicker to love than to judge. To be more like a two-year old comforting her mama. To be “compassionate and gracious, slow to anger; and abounding in love and faithfulness” (Psalm 86:15). And she concluded by first marveling over her daughter: While I was sitting on the couch with Ember mourning the loss of our friend, I realized how much more COMPASSIONATE my 2 year old is than most adults… And then by bidding her friend a sorrowful farewell: Sometimes people just need you to sit with them, wipe their tears, and blow. We love you Jarrid. Well put, all around. We send our condolences to Jarrid, his family members, friends and loved ones.

According to CBS Sports , Kaepernick’s agent has contacted various teams this week in hopes of landing a quarterback position for his client. However, the teams aren’t biting. ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith says that Kaepernick’s camp has reached out to the Steelers. “Essentially, they’re not interested,” Smith said this week. Smith further explained that Kaepernick’s camp “contacted the Jets, no word on them yet. They’ve contacted the Saints. They didn’t get their phone calls returned.” To make matters worse, all three of these teams have added a quarterback since Tuesday morning. The Saints signed J.T. Barrett to their practice squad and he’ll be their No. 3 player behind Teddy Bridgewater and Taysom Hill. The Steelers added Paxton Lynch to their practice squad on Tuesday and the Jets reportedly signed David Fales on Wednesday. According to Smith, Kaepernick didn’t even want to be a starting quarterback. The sports commentator says he spoke with Kaepernick’s girlfriend, Nessa Diab , last week. According to Smith, Diab told him that Kaep would be open to a backup job. “One of the things that Nessa Diab told me last week when she and I met, she said, ‘Colin Kaepernick trains five days a week, every day, all five days, at 5 a.m.,’” Smith said. “‘Working out a minimum of three hours a day, if not longer. He’s ready to go. He wants to be back in the NFL and it doesn’t have to be as a starting quarterback. It could be as a backup quarterback.’” Yet, NFL teams still seem to be staying clear of Kaepernick. This says a lot if Kaep is willing to be backup because it’s most likely he’ll be playing for backup money, which wouldn’t be a major money risk to the team that signs him. A lot of quarterbacks from major teams have also been facing injuries, so there’s usually a need for replacements. In just two weeks, Ben Roethlisberger, Drew Brees and Nick Foles have experienced serious injuries. Cam Newton also might miss a game in Week 3 due to a foot situation, and Sam Darnold is projected to miss multiple games due to mononucleosis. Meanwhile, Kaep has been ready to play. His practice videos that he posts on Instagram should serve as proof. But, per usual, the NFL still seems to be turning their back.

Nevertheless, we come in contact with them every day from washing to applying our deodorants or anti-perspirants. I had the opportunity to speak with Dove Dermatologist Dr. Alicia Barba to help debunk one of the biggest misconceptions occurring in the beauty and medical world surrounding anti-perspirants. Personally, I started using natural deodorant because I didn’t want to pour any toxins into my body or prevent my body from sweating. I feel like sweating is normal and releasing toxins need to happen. I had hopes but it left me funky and continuously worrying if I was giving off an odor. When you use an anti-perspirant, it prevents your body from sweating. Dr. Barba explained, “Antiperspirants have a clinically active ingredient: aluminum chloride slats. Basically what it does is form a little plug on the pore where the sweat gland drains into. It forms a plug so you don’t have sweat on the surface of the underarm. When you don’t have sweat, then bacteria doesn’t grow.” When bacteria doesn’t grow, then you don’t have that unfavorable odor. Nevertheless, I was worried about cancer. I had heard multiple rumors surrounding breast cancer and anti-perspirants. Dr. Barba educated, “Anti-perspirants have never been proven to cause cancer. They are regulated as an over the counter drug. The FDA regulates these products. It’s not like we can just put whatever in an anti-perspirant. It’s been studied thoroughly and has never been linked.” However, if you are like me, I feel your body is supposed to sweat. If you want this, then just use a deodorant. Dr. Barba explained, “If you don’t have a problem with smell, you can get away with a deodorant.” A deodorant will just leave you fresh smelling but allow your body to sweat. If you’re also like me and despite what the FDA says, still worried about aluminum, you can get a deodorant with 0% aluminum ($5.99, target.com ). There are tons of great smelling anti-perspirants like Dove Dry Spray Go Fresh Antiperspirant Deodorant in Apple and White Tea ($5.58. walmart.com ) – the apple scent is great for Fall! On Tuesday, a teaser for The Real Housewives of Orange County showed Shannon Beador complaining of head pain after a prank by Kelly Dodd. It turns out that the prank may have had lasting consequences for both women: For her part, Shannon races to the hospital after experiencing lasting head pain and blurred vision in the aftermath of the incident. And Kelly? She may just get charged with assault. We have to start, of course, with Shannon’s health. As the real housewives headed for their stay in Arizona, Shannon was very intent upon this being a peaceful healing retreat. Wishful thinking. In the meantime, Kelly spent the whole time making jokes about sex and dongs. Seriously, before they even arrived, she was all about it. Viewers were treated to Shannon asking Kelly what she wanted to work on healing (you know, like “trust” or “self-love” or whatever). Kelly replied that she had been on the receiving end of some satisfyingly vigorous sex, and therefore needed her genitals healed. Shannon found this pretty annoying, while Kelly felt that she was being way too serious about what is, after all, a reality show stunt. The reality TV twosome went to do a sound bath, which is sort of a ritual for both healing and one’s own aspirations. Unfortunately, Kelly was a bit ambitious for Shannon’s tastes. When it came time to express their hopes, Kelly said that she wanted her sparkling water business to do well. “We are at a place of healing, and I feel as though Kelly’s making a mockery of it,” Shannon complained to the camera. “Yeah, we all want success in our business,” she acknowledged. “But how superficial is that? Don’t mock the process.” You don’t have to believe that a ritual will work in order to at least be respectful if you’re going to participate, you know? Things got worse when the women were asked if they wanted to “stand in a motherbowl to clear your energy field and expand your aura.” Shannon volunteered. She seemed really dedicated to healing, and she has a lot of stress from which to recover. As you might have guessed by now, Kelly wasn’t feeling the same way … and that’s when things got terrible. She decided to play an unfortunate prank on Shannon. Using a short and decorated stick, Kelly decided to give the metal bowl adorned on Shannon’s head a good whack. At first, Shannon thought it was part of the ritual. Soon, however, Shannon was complaining that part of the ritual hurt, which is when Tamra revealed Kelly’s action. Shannon was aghast, and continued to complain of having a headache from her unexpected stint as a human gong. Shannon Beador: Did Kelly Dodd Give Her a CONCUSSION?! As we discussed when we first saw the clip (above), Shannon pointed out that pranks, however well-intentioned, should never get physical. To her credit, Kelly truly didn’t believe that she had drilled Beador in the noggin anywhere close to hard enough to cause any discomfort. She even offered Shannon the opportunity to retaliate, which Shannon declined. But as Shannon’s fears mounted that her headache could be a sign of something worse, she and Tamra departed. It’s always better to be safe than sorry (if you have the means to not only have health insurance, but use it) In the mean time, Emily and Kelly were astonished when they received a call informing them that Shannon was headed to urgent care. Braunwyn diplomatically suggested that they not mock this move until they find out that Shannon is truly okay. And at urgent care, an off-camera nurse asks Shannon if she wants to press assault charges against Kelly. The suspense is killing us, but that’s why they left us hanging until next week. The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 14 Trailer: “I’m Not a F-cking Whore!” You might think that a whack over the head from a mallet would elicit a response of universal sympathy for Shannon. But believe it or not, viewers on Twitter were quite divided on the matter — a state of affairs that really serves as a testament to how widely disliked Ms. Beador has become in recent years. “I wonder what gave Shannon a bigger headache. The bowl hit or the bottle of tequila she drank. I’m just saying,” one fan remarked. Another Shannon hater was even more blunt, tweeting: “@ShannonBeador over reacts and exaggerates and blows things way out of proportion. C’mon Shannon stop crying about everything and grow some ovaries.” Yikes. We knew Shannon was particularly beloved on social media, but “grow some ovaries”? All because she got checked out by a doctor after taking a knock on the noggin? Talk about adding insult to injury! Elsewhere in the episode, Emily had her big Vegas show but was unhappy at how distant Gina has grown, despite Gina’s personal troubles. And honestly? Emily seems a little jealous that Gina’s found the time to grow closer to Shannon. Remember, Shannon couldn’t stand Gina last season. In fact, Emily, Kelly, and Braunwyn are all bonding over how unhappy they are with Gina and Shannon’s friendship. Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 is officially in the books. But while the book has been closed on the latest run of this ABC franchise, a brand new chapter has been opened for two couples from the show. We’ve already documented what transpired between Demi Burnett and Kristian Haggerty (SPOILER ALERT: They’re engaged!), and now we’re here with romantic update on another pairing. Let’s delve into Chris Bukowski and Katie Morton , shall we? On last night’s finale, Chris acknowledged the “hard” road down which he and Katie have gone… but also praised Morton for all the positive ways in which she’s influenced him. He then said he yearned to make the show’s end the best moment of their lives — so he got down on one knee — as Katie broke down in tears — and proposed. And she said yes! Hooray, right? Viewers first met Chris on season 8 of The Bachelorette , which aired in 2012. He was 25 years old at the time and Emily Maynard eliminated him after their hometown date. After appearing on Bachelor Pad season 3, Chris attempted to crash season 10 of The Bachelorette. It was pretty darn awkward adter Andi Dorfman opted not to let him join the program. He later attempted to find love on seasons 1 and 2 of Bachelor in Paradise before announcing his “retirement.” The guy has been around ABC a lot . Katie, meanwhile, was a contestant on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor just a few months ago; she was sent home during week 6 of season 23. So that brings us up to their present and Tuesday night’s reunion special… Morton sitting opposite Chris Harrison WITHOUT an engagement ring on her finger. Uh-oh , guys. “We’re still engaged,” she assured viewers on the reunion, explaining in further detail: “I just put in so much effort every day and I love him so much, but I put in so much that my tank empties and if I’m not getting it filled, I break down. “It’s just the whole time at the beach he would tell others that he loves me and the only way I knew Chris loves me is the way he tells everyone else, not the way he shows me. “I love him, but I can’t speak as to how he makes me feel and the things he said and the things he did seemed so different.” That isn’t exactly a glowing endorsement of Bukowski or their relationship. What does this mean for their future? “I fell in love with potential that may never come to fruition, but I’m just praying it does,” Morton said. Again: this doesn’t sound very encouraging. Why doesn’t she just pull the plug on their engagement? “I don’t want to end things,” she said. “I’m just conflicted. I want it to get better but I want him to want it to be better.” Enter Chris, who came out on stage and tried to explain his side of things. “We take things day by day, and I think we do get better every day,” he said. “It’s a rollercoaster. Taylor Swift is receiving heaps of praise for her new album, “Lover.” In a new interview with Rolling Stone, however, the artist makes one thing abudantly clear when it comes to perpetual enemy Kanye West: She will always be a fighter. Speaking about her feud with Kanye and Kim Kardashian for approximately the 179th time, delves into the details of her ever-changing relationship with the rapper. It goes back to the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards when Kanye interrupted Swift’s speech to assert on stage that Beyonce actually deserved to win Best Video that year. This is notable because Swift tells Rolling Stone that the dynamic between the artists from that point onward played an enormous role in what happened seven years later. Intriguing, right? We write, of course, about the recorded phone call released by Kardashian in 2016 in which Kanye and Taylor can be heard discussing the lyric “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex,” which West uttered in his controversial track “Famous.” In this phone call, the world hears Swift grant Kanye permission to use this line. But she has emphasized from the outset of this rivalry that she has no clue Kanye would also refer to her as a “bitch” in this same song — and that’s largely where the beef lies. “The world didn’t understand the context and the events that led up to it,” Swift told Rolling Stone of the phone call, adding: “Because nothing ever just happens like that without some lead-up. Some events took place to cause me to be pissed off when [West] called me a bitch.” Okay. Go on then Taylor… “That was not just a singular event,” she continued. “Basically, I got really sick of the dynamic between he and I. And that wasn’t just based on what happened on that phone call and with that song — it was kind of a chain reaction of things.” Such as? The way the two actually made up about the infamous MTV VMAs interruption. “I started to feel like we reconnected, which felt great for me – because all I ever wanted my whole career after that thing happened in 2009 was for him to respect me,” she said. “When someone doesn’t respect you so loudly and says you literally don’t deserve to be here – I just so badly wanted that respect from him, and I hate that about myself, that I was like, ‘This guy who’s antagonizing me, I just want his approval.’ “But that’s where I was.” Swift went on to say that she and Kanye would go to dinner together and say nice things to each other and everything. But she then elaborated on when she finally realized just how hypocritical West can be. The singer alleged that, ahead of the 2015 VMAs, West called her to ask her to present him with the Video Vanguard Award at the upcoming awards ceremony. “I was so stoked that he asked me that,” Swift said. “And so I wrote this speech up, and then we get to the VMAs and I make this speech and he screams, ‘MTV got Taylor Swift up here to present me this award for ratings!’” In other words, according to Swift: Kanye asked her for a favor, and then turned it around in public to make it appear as if he had nothing to do with this presentation. “I’m standing in the audience with my arm around his wife, and this chill ran through my body. I realized he is so two-faced,” Swift said pointedly, adding: “That he wants to be nice to me behind the scenes, but then he wants to look cool, get up in front of everyone and talk sh-t.” West reportedly sent Swift a “big, big thing of flowers” to apologize after this incident, and Swift tells Rolling Stone she decided to move past their differences once again due to this gesture. Fast forward to that aforementioned phone call about the song “Famous.” “So when he gets on the phone with me, and I was so touched that he would be respectful tell me about this one line in the song,” Swift explained. “And I was like, ‘Okay, good. We’re back on good terms.’ And then when I heard the song, I was like, ‘I’m done with this. If you want to be on bad terms, let’s be on bad terms, but just be real about it.'” For her part, Kardashian has said she’s over this Taylor feud . It's hard to think of anything less scandalous than a friendship developing between two longtime co-workers. But when the colleagues in question are Kailyn Lowry and Leah Messer, a simple vacation is enough to fuel months of speculation. Primarily, the rumors around the possibility that Lowry and Messer are dating . It doesn't help that one of their co-workers — *cough* Jenelle Evans *cough* — has been providing grist for the mill by implying that these two are more than friends. On Wedneday, September 11, Larissa Lima and Eric Nichols broke up after a hot and steamy seven months. But it turns out that the breakup was not mutual. In fact, Eric has revealed that Larissa dumped him … over Instagram. To make matters worse, Eric has now found the perfect way to exact revenge. Eric Nichols (whose name was initially reported as Eric Foster) dated Larissa from early February until early September. Unfortunately, their breakup has not been as amicable as anyone (save those of us who get to write about it) had hoped. Eric has taken to his Instagram to share a screenshot of his travel itinerary from his Colorado trip, saying that it was the catalyst for the split. ‘After posting this to my story,” Eric writes. “She DM’d me via Instagram very upset, accusing me that I didn’t invite her, so on and so forth.” He points out that “she herself had been sharing excitement in her stories over the upcoming Colorado trip for the past couple months.” Larissa had made that clear to fans, he adds, “and was literally talking with one of my brothers about it THE NIGHT BEFORE.” “When I had put my phone down to shower and show my house to a future tenant,” Eric reveals. “I got a call from my mother about an hour later.” He says that his mom called “asking ‘are you doing okay?’ And she said ‘I saw a post from :&@:% on FB that you’re parting ways.'” “I didn’t think much of it,” Eric admits. “And,” he continues, he “said ‘I’m not sure, I haven’t seen it yet, but will soon. We’ll be okay, these arguments happen between us often.'” Eric notes that he thought it was an incident “like when she archives our photos from Instagram when she’s upset.” “Continuing my conversation with mother ‘Debie/Duke’ for another 20-30 minutes,” Eric narrates. He writes that he did so “not realizing when we got off the phone, I’d be going back to my DM’s to find multiple messages from my X.” Eric says that Larissa messaged him “stating a finalized break up on her ‘now’ terms.” “From there,” he writes. “I realized I was blocked and the apology DM’s were already packed.” Hard to make things right if you can’t get in touch with someone. Word to the wise: don’t be impatient. “Here’s the thing….” Eric tells his followers. “Lots of fabrication, secrets, stress, endless arguments, and hoops that turned into spirals.” “But,” he emphasizes. “There were some high level times.” We should hope so. The two were an item for seven months! ‘I don’t wish this girl good luck or bad luck,” Eric promises. “I just wish her a new boyfriend…. or husband,” he expresses. “In the history of an 8 month ordeal I am appreciative of certain outcomes,” Eric writes. He and Larissa both do this thing where they count both the starting month and ending month of a relationship. They dated for seven months. “All in all, I do want to give a big shout out to the haters who are instigator traders that balance out the positives,” he shares. “Lastly,” Eric concludes. “I want to give a monstrous THANK YOU TO ALL supportive friends who follow with love & synergy!” That is very sweet of him. But lately, Eric’s attitude has turned a little less sweet. He has been hanging out with Coltee — Larissa’s other, more infamous ex. Eric even spent time with Debbie and with the slot machine that Larissa so despised. This is a giant middle finger to Larissa if there ever were one. Some believe that Eric and Larissa were getting a reality TV deal that Larissa ruined with the breakup, which might explain his spiteful behavior. But maybe it’s just human nature. It’s hard to fall out of love without some bitterness. This is still a fresh wound.
