Lauren Swanson: I’m SO Different From the Other Duggar Wives!

At this point, the Duggars are so famous that even people who marry into the family become minor celebrities. Of course, not every new spouse is thrilled with that development. Take Lauren Swanson, for example. Lauren married Josiah Duggar  over a year ago but thus far, she’s managed to keep a lower profile than most Duggar partners. Those who know Swanson best say that’s no accident. To say that Lauren is a bit more shy than your typical reality star would be a massive understatement. In her first video messages to fans — posted shortly after she and Josiah got engaged — Swanson spoke so quietly that many fans openly wondered if she were concealing some sort of speech impediment. (The denizens of Duggar nation are not always a kindly bunch.) To this day most fans know very little about Lauren — but that changed this week, when the mom-to-be posted a list of 11 facts about herself on Instagram. Some of the facts aren’t exactly jaw-droppers. Lauren kicks things off by revealing with that she loves Jesus with her “whole heart,” and she “grew up in central GA on a little farm”  Important parts of her life, no doubt, but nothing that’s likely to take anyone by surprise. After the introductory items, however, Lauren’s list actually gets interesting. “I am a quarter hispanic (and no I am not fluent in Spanish, but I wish I was),” Swanson continued. “My middle name (Milagro) is in Spanish, it means Miracle.” So, maybe the Duggars aren’t the whitest family in the world anymore? (Just kidding, they still are.) From there, Lauren revealed that she’s known Josiah for much longer than previously thought. “Met the Duggar family in 2010, at the ATI conference in Big Sandy, TX (so yes, I watched Josiah grow up; I remember him as the funny/talkative little kid),” she wrote. And here’s where it really gets interesting — it seems Lauren was very nearly a career woman: “I went to college when I was 16 and finished my Associate’s degree in Nursing at 18,” she wrote.  Next on the list was an equally, though considerably less impressive revelation: “My secret talent is yodeling,” she wrote. From there on out, its pretty standard stuff — Lauren plays piano and digs interior design, but her favorite pastime is hanging out with Josiah. But still — nursing, yodeling, interests that don’t involve Jesus and housework? Seems that Lauren may have a richer interior life than some folks gave her credit for. For years, we’ve been hearing that despite all of the hype about Jinger, Josiah is the real Duggar rebel , the one who resists his father’s influence at every turn. And what better way to rebel against Jim Bob than to marry a woman with no interest in being enslaved by a patriarchal cult? Dwight Howard Bought A Purple Rolls Royce Because Of Thanos? [Video]

Source: photo: WENN Dwight Howard  clearly roots for the bad guys at the movies. He recently purchased a car in honor of Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most celebrated villain. Complex is reporting that the all-star center recently copped a brand new Rolls Royce. Obviously it isn’t rare for NBA players to ball out with luxury vehicles he ordered his modern day chariot in purple. While the color in question could easily be perceived as an homage to his new Los Angeles Lakers team it is really a nod to Thanos. On a recent episode of In Depth with Graham Bensinger  he gave a tour of his 8.8 million dollar Atlanta estate. During a walk through of his garage he discussed the automobile and the inspiration behind it. “I got this purple car because of Thanos. He’s from Avengers and he’s my favorite character. He was able to understand that in order for him to complete his mission, he had to get rid of his emotions, and that’s the hardest thing that we all face” he explained.   He further detailed his enthusiasm towards the character during a segment on FS1’s Fair Game with Kristine Leahy . He discussed how he had a rather big fanboy moment when he found himself on the plane with actor Josh Brolin. “I was sitting, like, two seats behind him, so I write him a letter, and I’m just telling him, ‘Thank you! Your character in this movie changed my life. It changed my thought process, and I really appreciate you for what you did” Dwight revealed. . @DwightHoward loves Thanos so much that he bought a purple car! Lenny S Says Jay-Z Was Good With Losing Rap Battle To Nas in ’02

Chen It’s been more than a decade and chance since Jay-Z and Nas battled for rap supremacy when they dropped some scathing diss tracks in “The Takeover” and “Ether,” and though they’ve since squashed the drama and moved on with their lives, OG rap aficionados still argue on who had the better record. Jay-Z for his part has no problem with fans concluding that Nas got the best of him when he called him a “tae-bo h*e” amongst other things on the rap battle classic “Ether.” Def Jam published an oral history about the making of the classic Jay-Z album, The Blueprint , and in it former Roc-A-Fella A&R Lenny “Lenny S” Santiago explained his frustration over how Hip-Hoppers were declaring Nas’ “Ether” the victor over Jay’s “Takeover.” From venting to Roc-A-Fella co-founder Kareem “Biggs” Burke to cursing out New York’s Hot 97 radio station, Lenny S had a hard time with fans leaning more towards the Queensbridge King than Hova the Gawd. It wasn’t until he got on the phone with Jay that Lenny S was able to see the bigger picture behind what had happened and accepted the end results. “So I literally call him from a pay phone. And here we are, Jay’s on the phone with me, convincing me that this has to happen in life. We have to go through ups and downs. We have take losses in order to get greater wins. We have to fall in order to get up. He just spent 15 minutes convincing me why this was necessary and that it’s alright. This man just took a loss. A public loss to a rival rapper. And he’s convincing me, a young A&R, and obviously his friend and his brother, of like why I need to be okay with this and let it go and not take it to heart. It just taught me as a man how to be a more mature adult. And to look at the glass as half full instead of half empty. Jay took the time when he could have been selfish, or pissed off, and took the time to school me. And that’s from The Blueprint.” To be fair, at the time Hot 97 held a contest for listeners to decide who had the better diss track between Nas’ “Ether” and Jay-Z’s “Super Ugly” in which Jay spit over Nas’ “Got Urself” instrumental and then revealed his relationship with Nas’ babymother over Dr. Dre ‘s “Bad Intentions” track. Apparently Jay didn’t go hard enough over Nas’ beat but went over the line on Dr. Dre’s joint. If we remember correctly, even Jay-Z’s family told him he didn’t have to bring Nas’ baby’s mother into the drama on the diss track. Either way New York listeners decided “Ether” was a better song than “Super Ugly.” It was. Had they actually pitted “Ether” against the original Nas diss cut “Takeover” then the results might’ve been different. Luckily both men were able to hash out their differences and are now continuing to cash in on life outside of rap. Gotta love Hip-Hop, b.

Married at First Sight Drops Biggest Divorce Bombshell in Show History

In a word? KABOOM ! In a whole bunch of words? Holy shocker, reality TV fans, can you believe the bombshell that exploded all over last night’s Married at First Sight finale?!? We’re still reeling from what we just witnessed and, as you can tell by the looks on the coaches’ faces below, we aren’t alone… We won’t delay the suspense any longer. We’ll just hope all readers are sitting down when they read the following: Keith Manley said he wanted to separate from Iris Caldwell on Wednesday night’s episode. “You’ve been nothing but supportive. Whether it’s coming to my grandmother’s funeral or you coming to meet my family and spending time with my family,” he told her on air, adding in more painful detail: “I do want you to know how grateful I am to have met someone who has pushed me in so many different ways that I just had no idea I needed to be pushed in. “Right now, I do think that we are in different places individually and for that reason I would like to get a divorce.” Dr. Pepper Schwartz was left “stunned” by this decision, while Dr. Viviana Coles said her heart was “broken for Iris.” As for the bride? She handled the news better than expected. “I think you’re an amazing person,” Keith added. “I think you’re an amazing woman but I’m just not sure you’re the right one for me.” “I guess I’m at peace with it because it’s something I can’t change,” Iris replied simply. Take as long as you need to process this development and then scroll down to learn the fate of  Gregory Okotie and Deonna McNeill … Deonna said she was “growing in love” with her husband during their sit-down, helping us believe in this emotion once again. “This kind of feels like a fairy-tale,” she continued. “I got married at first sight to find my forever relationship, to find my complementing partner, go on adventures, go grocery shopping, go home and have someone to talk too. With Greg, I have all of that.” Hooray! Can  Matthew Gwynne and Amber Bowles keep this positive reaction flowing? After Gwynne was confronted with allegations of flirting with other women while married, the athlete apologized. He sounded sincere, at least to an extent, but it wasn’t enough for Amber … who stood up for herself in a way that left viewers applauding all night long. “I think I deserve to be pursued,” she said, continuing as follows: You said it’s because you didn’t feel a spark or connection but why didn’t you walk away when you didn’t feel the spark or connection? “You could have saved me a whole lot of heartache because I’m hurting now and I’m feeling humiliated and I’m feeling like I’m not enough because of how you acted and the choices you made. “I wish you would have walked away instead of hurting me.” Amen, Amber. As for  Elizabeth Bice and Jamie Thompson ? These two, and the way they were presented, left us guessing until the very end. First, Jamie confessed that he doesn’t “love the sexual relationship” he has with Jamie. So the end had to be near for the newlyweds, right? Nope: despite their many ups and downs, the couple was united in their decision to remain married. “I think there is a lot for us to grow together in this world and I think we have a lot of positive things to bring to each other’s lives, but you’ve done some pretty effed up things and you’ve called me some pretty choice words,” Elizabeth said. “I think I’d be really crazy if I didn’t stay with you so I want to stay in this marriage.” Can’t say we saw that coming, but the episode was chock full of surprises. “I just think there’s just too much good, too much positivity, too much to throw away so my answer is yes, I want to stay married,” Jamie concluded. Ashley Martson: I Was Kidnapped, Assaulted, and Nearly Died

Last November, we reported that 90 Day Fiance star Ashley Martson had been kidnapped and brutally attacked when she was 19. Now, Ashley is speaking up on Instagram and inviting her fans and followers to hear the grim story of her survival story. This is a huge step for her, and she even released a statement about how she’s no longer afraid to address her trauma. First of all, Ashley explains why she decided to get ahead and leak her story through blogger John Yates late last year. “I wasn’t sure how the other tabloids would portray me,” Ashley explained at the time. She added: “I knew he would post it with the with dignity and respect with the understanding that this is a very sensitive subject.” And, she revealed, she had been warned that an old “friend” already planned to leak the story of the brutal 2005 assault. “People are disgusting,” she correctly observed. “Sending this story to tabloids shows how s–tty people really are.” In 2005, Ashley was near her car outside of work when a man, Sean Patrick Gallagher, attacked her with a box cutter and tied her up. He took her elsewhere in her own car. In a small athletic field, he stopped the car, terrorized her, and sexually assaulted her. He could have — and may have been planning to — end her life. Only 19 at the time, Ashley mustered the incredible courage to fight back against he armed monster. She struck him with a bag and used her own teeth to chew through the zip-ties that had bound her hands so tightly that they were discolored. Ashley made a run for it, on foot, sliding down an embankment and wading across a creek to get away. Gallagher was eventually identified with DNA evidence. He was already in prison at the time. At his trial, Ashley did not hold back when it came to scolding him for fighting the charges, forcing her to relive her horrific trauma. In 2009, after Ashley’s testimony, it took only 90 minutes for the jury to convict. He was found guilty of kidnapping, rape, involuntary intercourse, robbery, and terroristic threats. Last November, it was John Yates who shared the story — at Ashley’s request — to get it out in the open, the right way. Now, Ashley is addressing the topic herself on Instagram. “I was kidnapped and almost killed,” Ashley acknowledges. “But,” she continues. “I’m no longer afraid to speak out.” She then directs people to read about it. There isn’t exactly new information, since it’s been public knowledge, but her statement is brand new. Ashley has known a lot of awful experiences in her life. Kidnapped at 19. And she continues to battle Lupus, a devastating and chronic autoimmune disease that threatens her life. Leaked text messages appear to accuse her ex-husband, Jay Smith, of sexually assaulting her while she was recovering from a medical treatment. There is no limit on the horror that one can experience in a lifetime, but we hope that Ashley never relives any of these nightmares again. Ashley is a profoundly strong woman. Farrah Abraham Refers to 9/11 as "7-Eleven" in Worst Tribute Video Possible

This NOT exactly just in: Farrah Abraham is not the sharpest tack in the drawer. She’ll never be accused of playing with a full deck or of not having at least one screw loose. And yet, even for this disgraced ex-Teen Mom star, the video Farrah released on Wednesday likely came as a shock to those who have been following her so-called career for the past several months. Yes, it was that ignortant, tone-deaf and just plain dumb. Here. Let us set the stage for you, okay? Abraham has been in New York City for the past few days, taking daughter Sophia on a tour of The Big Apple while also making an appearance at this city’s Fashion Week. Earlier this week, though, Farrah and Sophia visited One World Trade Center in order to pay tribute to those who died on the September 11 terrorist attacks in 2001. On its surface, this was an admirable gesture. Dig a little deeper past the surface, however, and … well… … you get Abraham mixing up the date of this awful incident with the name of the country’s most famous convenience store. This is what the reality star said to open her self-filmed footage: “Okay, so we wanted to do, since it’s gonna be September 11, in honor of the Freedom Towers, and observatory deck and everything, of 7-Eleven, we are going to do this. Wow, look at this guys.” Yup, Farrah just said  7-Eleven . Abraham brushed right past her mistake, however, to say how vital she believes it to be that her daughter learn about the tragedy. “I think this is gorgeous, beautiful, and in memory of a lot of loved ones, a lot of others lost,” she says in the following video, adding: “I remember being in fifth grade when September 11 attacks happened, Sophia was not born yet, so I think it’s really important that Sophia learns about it, and here we go.” Farrah Abraham at One World Trade Center Farrah’s sentiment is right, of course. But was it right of her to turn this visit into a 12-minute video that she released on her YouTube page? Or right of here to strike such an odd, enthusiastic tone while walking around the sacred ground? “It’s pretty gorgeous here. It’s such a great day. The buildings are so beautiful,” she continued, later gushing over how much she was “enjoying” the entire experience. On the bright side at least, no one watched this video and wondered what the heck was the matter with Farrah’s appearance . Instead, they simply wondered what the heck is the matter with Farrah. Full stop. “I kind of wanted to make this video while I’m here at the Freedom Tower for September 11,” the MTV personality added. “However we all deal with loss, I encourage you guys to check out my last videos for bereavement, depression, but it’s good to have a memorial for those. It’s great to visit loved ones and have good memories.” We don’t want to judge anyone who has been through any traumatic ordeal. Not in any way at all. But if you’re checking out Farrah Abraham’s videos on bereavement and depression, we just hope you’re looking at a few other things as well. New York City is the latest stop on Farrah and Sophia’s tour across the world. They are fresh off a trip to Paris, where they enjoyed a day of shopping at stores like Louis Vuitton. Days before that adventure, they walked the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival. Where is Farrah getting the money for such grand vacations? That’s a great question. David Eason: Could He FINALLY Be Arrested For Killing Nugget?!

Way back in April, David Eason shot and killed Jenelle Evans' dog , an 11-pound French bulldog named Nugget. Now obviously, David is not a criminal mastermind. In fact, we're impressed when we see him out in public with his shoes on the right feet. But he was able to avoid prosecution in the Nugget case, largely because he and Jenelle made it difficult for police to figure out what the hell actually happened. Then David went and confessed to the killing in an interview with People magazine, because — like we said — he's not the brightest bulb. So might he finally be punished for his nauseating crimes? Here's what we know so far: 1. The Easons Take Manhattan Jenelle and David are in New York in order to promote her newly-released eyebrow kit. The launch coincided with the city’s fashion week. 2. Tricky Business The launch party itself was a sparsely-attended bust that took place on some random Astro-turfed balcony. And the rest of the promotions haven’t turned out much better. 3. The Challenge The task presented to Jenelle and David was a difficult one — run damage control and rescue what’s left of your reputation, even though you stand accused of beating and murdering a puppy, then hiding the crime from police. 4. Absolute Disaster Because Evans’ manager, Johnny Donovan, knows nothing about his clients, he scored them an interview with People magazine. He was apparently under the impression that they’re a couple of smooth-talkers who would sort this whole thing out with ease. 5. Even Worse Than We Expected We don’t need to tell you wrong Donovan was. Despite a series of pre-approved softball questions, Jenelle and David sputtered and stammered their way through the interview and dug themselves a MUCH deeper hole. 6. A Vicious Beast … and Nugget “This was something that nobody wants to ever have to do. The dog was aggressive,” Eason BS’ed when asked about the incident. View Slideshow

Maddox Jolie-Pitt: I Don’t Care If I Never See Brad Pitt Again!

As we reported earlier this month, Maddox Jolie-Pitt has left for college . The 18-year-old son of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt is attending Yonsei University in Incheon, South Korea. College and adulthood can be very freeing. For the first time, Maddox is discussing his parents’ split and his estranged father. This week, in a video obtained by In Touch Weekly , Maddox is approached by a cameraman and asked questions. First, Maddox is asked if his estranged father, Brad Pitt, will be visiting him at school now that he’s started college. “Um, I don’t know about that … what’s happening,” Maddox replies. It’s a deeply awkward question. The cameraman followed up, asking if his relationship with his dad is over for good. Maddox kept it vague, replying: “Whatever happens, happens.” We should acknowledge that this isn’t really a case of Maddox volunteering to open up to the world about family drama. He’s an 18-year-old college freshman who’s on the other side of the planet from his entire family. And somebody with a camera followed him to college to leverage a young man’s politeness in the hopes that he’d speak to the camera. While Angelina and even Brad did a good job of shielding their children from some of the burdens of fame, that makes them unpracticed with these guerilla interviews. Humans are social animals. Maddox’s natural instinct was to answer a stranger’s questions. An inside source previously spoke to In Touch Weekly about how Maddox is doing with this huge life milestone. “Maddox is leaving the tight-knit family nest,” the insider acknowledged. The source continued: “And while there have been some tears, he’s super excited about starting this new journey.” Maddox’s siblings are Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, John (Shiloh), 13, and 11-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox. “He told his siblings that they have to listen to Pax now,” the insider shares. “Which they all laughed at.” “Pax probably took it the hardest,” the source characterized. “But he’s tough and doesn’t cry.” “All the other kids got teary-eyed,” the insider revealed. “They’re all going to miss their oldest brother,” the source explained. “Who’s always been kind and a very calming presence.” The insider adds that Maddox was like this “even when he was little.” Basically everyone — with the exceptions of some of Brad’s diehard stans — loves Maddox. Maddox played a central role into the event onboard their private plane that resulted in Angelina filing for divorce and reporting Brad to the FBI for child-abuse. It is believed that there was some sort of conflict onboard the plane. After what Angelina witnessed, she knew that she could not remain married to Brad — or the person he had become. She also did her best to keep the children away from him until he had taken major steps to combat his alcoholism. Somehow, some of Brad’s most rabidly fanatical fans made him out to somehow be the “victim” in all of this. Maddox has kept his distance from his now estranged father for some time, and is said to be very protective of his mother. There are some who think that he and Brad “need” to reconnect for some reason. That’s very silly. The nice thing about life is that you eventually get to choose which family members to keep in your life and which to exclude. Maddox appears to be open to an eventual reconciliation with his father, which is very charitable of him. For now, he’s focusing on his classes. Dwayne Wade Says He’d Buy An NFL Team With Rick Ross

Wade is all about that ownership life according to a new conversation with Rick Ross who threw the idea out about buying an NFL team to him for a new GQ article. via  Complex : “Let’s say the opportunity presented itself and we had the opportunity to buy ourselves an NFL team,” Ross said to broach the subject. “Is that something we move forward on, or don’t?” “I move forward on it,” Wade replied. “I move forward on it. 100 percent.” Wade and Ross then shook hands, with the rapper joking he wouldn’t want to finance purchasing a team on his own. Andrea sued Trey Last year after she claims trey became upset and assaulted her at a party in Hollywood. Trey says, he “reasonably believed Plaintiff was going to harm him and any force he used was only the amount reasonably necessary to protect himself.” To read more click here
