She went on to reveal that her lack of success in that competition alst prevented her from taking home her crown. “I didn’t make that, and I knew it was gonna be the same people that were judging that so I was like ‘They didn’t pick me before, why would they pick me now?” Commissioned by Ashley Stewart The deciding factor in her putting herself out there again was encouragement from her local store manager. An avid shopper with a reputation for having great personal style Flamer had become close with the person who often watch her twirl around the chain’s pink clad dressing rooms. “She said, ‘I think you should do it, just do it. I can wear that, because I look like that,” she said. She added that she wanted them to think, “That will look bomb on me.” Even with a huge campaign under her belt, a growing social media following and a clip of Loni Love yelping out her name on the internet, she has not been able to lock down a modeling agent, a task that is seemingly simpler for the young women in the shallower end of the plus-size pool. “I notice that a lot of the agencies who represent plus size models the models are on the smaller end,” she pointed out. “In the media they consider anything a size 10 and up, but their models are usually on the smaller end. They’re size 10 and size 12 they’re not your 14s and 16s and 18s,” she continued. “I definitely want to continue modeling, I am looking to sign and I’m hoping that will be a possibility for me, hopefully they can take me as I am.” If they don’t, we will. Even from outside, I could tell that I wasn’t stepping into your ordinary vintage jewelry spot. When I entered, I felt like embraced, not only by the woman who greeted me at the door, but also by the atmosphere. There were splashes of pink, lots of gold, and the sounds of women fawning over shining jewels. The woman behind this dream of a shopping experience is Tenisha Light-Caba. The entrepreneur, who stood in the midst of all of the excitement in a jean Fenty dress , lucite heels and her own vintage Chanel earrings and gold link bracelets fashioned into anklets, started the business in 2010. However, she has been selling vintage jewelry since she was a kid living in California. “I had rummage sales every weekend, making money selling my grandmother’s jewelry,” she told me. “Then it became my chore to clean another grandmother’s jewelry. One would let me make money at the rummage sales selling the jewelry right in front of the house. Nowadays, Tenisha works with private collectors who’ve been in the business for decades to pull together her one-of-a-kind collection, which she’s been able to put in her new store located in The Oculus , otherwise known as Westfield World Trade Center in Manhattan. “I tend to like to work with the same people. This is how I’m able to get my hands on the good stuff. I take care of them, they take care of me,” she said. “They have a lot. They have more than what I could ever afford to buy. Where they get it from? Who knows.” Her collection has expanded greatly, taking her from her early beginnings of selling in a brownstone, moving on to Chelsea Market, to eventually having her own space, one of the few minority-owned businesses in the Oculus. “We first started our business in a historic brownstone in Brooklyn,” she said of her journey. “I’ve never had the space. I’ve usually worked at an artisan market. This is the biggest space I’ve ever had. This gives me a chance to really shine, have lighting and really make it my own.” It hasn’t been an easy journey, but it’s been a successful one. During her days working at markets like Artists & Fleas and Top Shop on 5th Avenue, Tenisha broke records for her sales. “I worked,” she said. “I put the work in. It’s been so many things that happened in the world over the past 10 years and in that time, I’ve had my business full time. I’m independently funded. I don’t have investors. Now I have payroll and I have employees.” Source: Victoria Uwumarogie / HB What you’ll find at the store is pieces dating back from the ’30s and ’40s. Items from big name fashion houses like Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel, as well as daintier, unique items from all over. The good news is, everything is affordable, but there are items specific to every wallet. For instance, she has inexpensive earrings and necklaces from the ’70s, her “Dainty” and “Re.Fresh” collections. They are old stock that she received from a collector who had a wholesale business in the 1970s, and she replated everything to give it a fresh look. They are being sold between the $20-$40 range. The wide-ranging prices are part of Tenisha’s hope to make people from all walks vintage fans — and welcome when they visit Brooklyn Bleu. “I want people to feel welcomed, to feel like they’re at home. I want them to feel comfortable and good — just as good when they leave,” she said. “That’s the experience they get when they walk through the door, that’s how people treat them, that’s courtesy. That’s being professional and knowing what you have to offer as well. I have to train and work really hard with my staff too so they can pass on that same experience.” She also wants people to know that Brooklyn Bleu will be flexible. If you get a piece and for some reason you need to return it (allergies, any other unexpected issue), she welcomes it back. Source: Victoria Uwumarogie / HB “If someone’s not happy with the piece, it doesn’t make me happy for them to have it,” she said. “I’d rather get it in the hands of someone who’s going to really enjoy it.” With that being said, it’s rare for such a thing to happen with Tenisha’s collection of pieces. You’ll understand when you step in the space and find yourself mesmerized by the statement necklaces, quirky rings, avante-garde earrings, delightful vintage mirrors and ornate bags. Especially at the cost. “It’s important to offer pieces that are accessible and vintage,” she said. “When I go to a place and it feels like everything is just too expensive, it’s like, ‘I thought I was making good money! I can’t even afford this.’ I didn’t ever want people to feel that in here — and they don’t. We have customers who take four and five pieces. Keeping Up with the Kardashians Returns! With a Khloe Bombshell!

Reunited… and God, did it NOT feel good! On the Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 17 premiere Sunday night, viewers were given a glimpse into Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson‘s first public hang-out since the latter cheated on his baby mama with Jordyn Woods in February. And at least one stunning development came out of this gathering. As the episode opened, the 35-year old mother of one confessed she still had “so many raw emotions” towards her ex in the wake of their split. “I’m really just trying to figure out my own life at the moment,” she said. “I’m just healing and processing and going through the motions.” Thompson, of course, slept with other women while Khloe was pregnant with their daughter. She gave him another chance, however, only for Tristan to then swap spit with a good friend of Khloe and her family’s less than a year later. According to Khloe, Tristan had been trying to see her right around when the Season 17 premiere was filmed… but she kept turning down these requests.   “Tristan thinks people are disposable — if he sends me enough flowers or enough text messages, I’m going to come around,” she explained,  continuing along this theme as follows: “I still have not spoken to Tristan face-to-face and right now, I am not ready to. “I know I’ll get to that place, but right now it’s really challenging and tough for me. My feelings are super raw and I am really humiliated and hurt by what he did to me.” Kardashian and Thompson share young True, who turned a year old in April. Despite all he has done to her, Khloe has never tried to keep her ex away from her daughter — which meant she felt compelled to invite Thompson to his child’s birthday party on this premiere. “It’s the first time Tristan and I will be in a public setting together,” Khloe said. “I’m envisioning a party full of people, Tristan walks in and everyone is staring at us — I don’t want this at my daughter’s first birthday party.” She then recounted all the ways in which Thompson has tried to make up for his wandering penis and tongue. “All Tristan does is sent countless amounts of flowers, calls, texts, and I just haven’t been ready to talk to him because I feel like it’s going to turn into a screaming match and I don’t care to scream,” Khloe told viewers. “But I said that I would be willing for the first time to speak to him if there’s a therapist involved.” With this on the table, the parents did alleegedly take part in an off-camera therapy session via FaceTime “to help co-parent True,” but but Khloe said it went very poorly. She then wondered why she invited Thompson to True’s party. Ultimately, Khloe choce actually invited Thompson over the night before the shindog they could “get the whole initial weird first seeing each other out of the way in private.” This did make sense, but it also meant their reunion wasn’t filmed for the show and we had to rely on Khloe telling her assistant that it was “pretty awkward” to have any idea what transpired. “He was just kind of lingering … He was like, ‘So, do you want to grab a glass of wine?’” Khloe said, adding that Tristan even tried to kiss her after she reluctantly gave him a hug. Wait… WHAT? And how did Khloe respond? “I go, ‘This is the problem with you. You can’t just take what you get,’” she said, adding: “Then this morning he was like, ‘Thank you for letting me see True. She looked great, you looked even better.’ … Sometimes I feel like if I give an inch, he’ll take a mile and take my kindness for weakness.” Look, we suppose this may have happened. But doesn’t it seem just as likely that Khloe just made it all up for the sake of a storyline? It’s not like Thompson is in a place to publicly deny anything. As for how things went at the party? Khloe was mostly concerned about how Thompson would interact with Kim Kardashian , who had been a rather harsh critic ever since the Woods debacle. “This situation, it’s a little awkward,” Khloe said. “Everyone is staring at us and I’m really concerned, a little uncomfortable, about Kim and Tristan’s dynamic.” She should have been worried aboout Tristan and Kanye’s dynamic, as it turned out. Footage was shown on E! of the two having an animated conversation —  and while there was no audio, the rapper later claimed that Thompson was upset about the fact that the family used the intro to West’s song “Runaway” in a Season 17 teaser. (The lyrics reference toasting to “a—holes” and “scumbags.”) “He felt like we were using my music to reinforce his narrative,” West said, after which an angry Khloe fumed. “I don’t need at my daughter’s birthday party for any of this to be a discussion,” she said. “I know everyone’s intention is to help and be protective,” she added. “But at True’s birthday party, it’s not the right timing.” In conclusion, while Thompson is feuding with Kanye, he’s supposedly getting help from a past Kanye rival. Yes, Jacob quit Little People, Big World three years ago — but he and his relatives made up awhile back, with everyone (except Chris Marek?) in attendance for his big and special day. Larissa recently revealed that she has been grappling with depression and anxiety for over a year. She's tried to resolve it herself, but nothing so far has worked. Now, she's prepared to seek real treatment — and you may be surprised at who's reportedly footing the bill. 1. Oh no, Larissa Last week, Larissa Lima posted and deleted a very heartfelt message about her mental and emotional health — and what she’s doing to remedy it. 2. She’s grappled with depression for over a year “I was devastated, emotionally exhausted, and my entire body ached from depression,” Larissa reveals, recalling the aftermath of her arrest in June 2018. 3. And THIS may explain some of her behavior “Sometimes, I was filmed while being on pain killers,” Larissa now admits. 4. She wasn’t especially functional Larissa describes: “I couldn’t move, do basic activities, or take care of myself.” 5. It sounds like Colt was a huge factor in her misery “You all know how my marriage started, ” Larissa says, referring to how Colt seduced her online but how life with him was nothing like she had expected and how his demeanor was suddenly much less charming — especially when cameras were not rolling. 6. Jenelle Evans at New York Fashion Week: Yeah, I’m Fat … But I’m About to Be RICH!

Jenelle Evans and David Eason are currently attending New York Fashion Week.  And they have several messages that they'd like to send to their haters: For starters, Jenelle claims that despite some major hiccups — including a “release date” that came and went with no products appearing in stores or online — her cosmetics line launch is still proceeding as scheduled. More importantly, Jenelle says that despite rumors to the contrary, she's not pregnant and is not planning to become pregnant. And as always, she says her kids her top priority. Kim Kardashian: Will Lupus Diagnosis Ruin Her Life Forever?

On Sunday night, Keeping Up With The Kardashians returned for Season 17. Khloe and Tristan drama took center stage for a lot of reasons, but there is also a medical drama unfolding on the show. Kim has a rash of unexplained symptoms, and when she underwent a medical screening, doctors began to fear the worst. “Today I woke up,” Kim narrates while in the car with Khloe. “And my hands are a bit swollen.” Unlike millions of Americans, who either don't have insurance or can't realistically afford to use it, Kim can go to the doctor about it. “I think it's my anxiety,” Kim then hopefully suggests, noting that her fourth child is on the way via gestational carrier. It is not uncommon for people to suggest that their ailments are psychosomatic in order to brush aside more serious worries. Unfortunately, wishful thinking and denial are not the same as a medical screening. “I just am, like, freaking out,” Kim then says in a voiceover while footage shows her at the hospital. Speaking to the konfessional kamera , Kim says: “I have a baby on the way, I have law school.” “It just really can scare you when you start really thinking about how much this is gonna change my life,” Kim laments. She has already experienced swollen joints, headaches, and general fatigue. At the hospital, she undergoes a screening. And when she hears the results at home, the cameras are there to capture her reaction. “As far as your results …” her doctor tells her as delicately as he can. “Your antibodies are positive for Lupus.” “And,” he continues. “Rheumatoid arthritis.” Those are both devastating autoimmune disorders in which your own immune system turns upon your body and attacks it. Symptoms include agonizing pain, a lowered quality of life, and either condition can shorten life expectancy by decades. Lupus attacks the entire body. Rheumatoid arthritis attacks the body's joints and can warm fingers into gnarled, immobile talons. Kylie may not be a medical expert, but as she sits and listens to her big sister's diagnosis, she visibly tears up. Kim admits to her doctor: “So I don't, like, know what that means.” Dr. Daniel Wallace gives it to her straight: “You'd have, in addition to swollen joints, you'd have fevers, rashes, mouth sores, be really tired.” He does point out that there is absolutely hope. “But,” he notes. “Sometimes you can get false positives with these screenings.” By this point, Kris and Khloe have gathered around to also hear the news. This is when Kim confesses: “I'm freaking out.” Kylie remarks that not knowing for sure is “the scariest part,” which is fair. Through carefully dabbed-away tears, Kim shares: “I'll know on Friday.” Kim did such a good job of staying calm during the call. Afterwards, it's no surprise that she cries. Kris gives Kim some solid advice: “stay really positive until we get some results.” Kim acknowledges how helpful that suggestion is, even if it's difficult or even impossible to follow. “You know, you really do get in your head and think about the worst possible things that can happen,” Kim notes. “So, for the next few days it's gonna be really hell…” she characterizes. Kim admits that she will be “living, wondering what I have, what's going on, and how to fix this.” Things seem bleak now, but hopefully next week's episode will deliver some very good news.

Chrissy Teigen Claps Back at Donald Trump: Come at Me, You Little B-tch!

Celebrity feuds on Twitter — we love ’em, don’t we, folks? Of course, they’re a little more entertaining when neither of the combatants has access to the nuclear launch codes. Yes, we’re the first to get our popcorn out when it’s Taylor Swift vs. Kim Kardashian , Round 47. But when Donald Trump is attacking Chrissy Teigen our first thought is one of mere sympathy for the beleaguered intern in charge of changing the Presiden’s Depends. Speaking of Ms. Kardashian-West, here’s a little backstory before we get into what went down between the leader of the free world and a popular Twitter personality last night: As you may recall, Kim has dedicated much of her time to criminal justice reform in recent months, securing presidential pardons for numerous non-violent offenders who had been serving life sentences on drug charges. Obviously, that’s a very good thing, and Kim was one of the prominent figures who received credit during an MSNBC special on America’s incarceration crisis Sunday night. Trump received credit, too, but … it wasn’t enough? We’re not really sure what exactly got his goat, but for some reason, the President of the United States of America unleashed a tweetstorm while hate-watching the show. “I SIGNED IT INTO LAW, no one else did, & Republicans deserve much credit. But now that it is passed, people that had virtually nothing to do with it are taking the praise,” the Donald began, as only the Donald can. “Guys like boring musician @johnlegend, and his filthy mouthed wife, are talking now about how great it is – but I didn’t see them around when we needed help getting it passed,” Trump continued. As you might imagine, Chrissy wasn’t thrilled to find that the most powerful man in the world had randomly decided to sic his minions on her on a Sunday night. But she certainly had no trouble seeing the humor in the situation. “lol what a p-ssy ass b-tch,” Teigen tweeted. “Tagged everyone but me. an honor, mister president.” Politics aside, we can all agree that attacking someone that viciously without tagging them is, without question, a p-ssy move. And as Chrissy pointed out, that’s not the only way in which Trump’s latest tantrum was one of his most ridiculous to date: “The absolute best part of his tweet is I literally didn’t speak in the special, nor was I mentioned,” she tweeted. “I’m cackling at the pointless addition of me because he cannot not be a bitch.” Fortunately, it wasn’t long before life returned to normal in the Legend-Teigen household, as Chrissy helped her daughter prepare for her first day of school. “Luna, remember the night before your first day of school? When mommy was making your sign and the p-ssy ass b-tch president had his 9th meltdown of the day? Sadly, the night soon took a turn for the worse, thanks to a sauce-related mishap. “F—ck I got pasta on my couch. karma is a p-ssy ass b-tch,” Teigen tweeted to end the night. That’s rough. Folks, let’s lend Chrissy our support and whatever cleaning tips we might have during this trying time.

The Bachelor: Spoilers Reveal Sad Shocker About Mike Johnson

We are one week away from learning the identiy of the next Bachelor on ABC. The upcoming star of the 2020 season will be announced on the Bachelor in Paradise reunion special, which will air on September 17. But here’s the thing: We already know the identity of the next Bachelor on ABC. Thanks to a handful of The Bachelor spoilers , led by the ever-reliable Reality Steve, we can very safely announce that Peter Weber will be the man to walk across that stage in a few days. He’s best known for three things: Being perfectly nice and harmless. Having sex in a windmill four times in one night with Hannah Brown on The Bachelorette. Not being Mike Johnson. Indeed, everyone mostly likes Peter Weber. But almost everyone absolutely loves Mike Johnson. And that was before we found this photo of Johnson and a baby lamb… Immediately upon Brown giving Johnson the boot, fans started clamoring for him to take up the mantle of The Bachelor. He’s charming, he’s funny, he’s entertaining and, yes, he’s African-American. Diversity is a good thing, right? Now, however, we’ve come to find out that Johnson was never even contacted by ABC executives for the gig. NEVER! NOT ONCE! This is both crushing and also confounding. Every year, Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss claims that selecting each season’s leading man is a difficult choice and that the network has a number of options to consider… … and then every year The Bachelor just chooses the second or third-place finisher from the previous season of The Bachelorette — who is always white, of course. It’s easy to object and to take issue with this pattern, but the following fact is also an easy one for producers to point to: Ratings go up almost every single year. Prior to The Bachelor spoilers revealing that Weber will be the pick, Johnson told Entertainment Tonight that he totally understands why Peter might end up with the job. “I think Peter looks the part… when he gets a 5 o’clock shadow, he looks good too,” Johnson told this outlet, seemingly making a reference  to Weber’s skin color and adding: “I think that Peter’s family is terrific. I’ve hung out with his brother, he’s awesome. “His mom, you know, he’s got a little Spanish flair. I think that Peter and his family are just great.” And in another veiled shot at Weber, Johnson continued: “He’d be a safe Bachelor, meaning that he won’t do anything crazy obnoxious. I think it’d be a good, safe, clean season if he were the Bachelor.” The only upside here, of course, is that Johnson is now free to pursue Demi Lovato . But we still would have preferred to have seen him leading the way this January. Ever diplomatic in chat with ET, Johnson concluded as follows: “I will say this — I do think the show has worked hard to increase diversity in its casting and is continuing to evolve. “And as it evolves, we’ll continue to see more diversity from the franchise.” View Slideshow: Peter Weber as The Bachelor: A Nation Reacts!
