The Ending To ‘The Notebook’ Was Noticeably Less Tragic When It Hit Netflix UK…And Fans Are Pissed

Source: KMazur / Getty Uh oh, they done did it now. Fans of The Notebook are vexed with Netflix UK after the online streaming service changed the ending of the classic romance-drama. Starring Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling, viewers followed the story of a poor young man and rich girl as they fell in love but eventually got separated due to differences in social standing. In the original version, Gosling and McAdams’ characters, Noah and Allie die in bed together—but when it became available for streaming on Netflix UK, the final scenes were noticeably different . In Netflix UK’s version, Noah and Allie are very much alive while lying down in bed…and then the film cuts to a scene of birds flying over a lake. Heartbroken Twitter felt all kinds of ways—most fans seemed annoyed, while others defended the ending, saying it was much more similar to the actual ending in Nicholas Spark’s novel. Hit the flip to see what folks had to say, but first Netflix has since responded to all the backlash, saying that 1). They didn’t edit the film; 2). The alternate version already existed and was given to them; 3). They are getting to the bottom of it and hilariously, 4). “Apparently some films have more than one ending?!” Ha. Mary Ann Lisanti (D) on Monday night over allegations that she told a white colleague, during an after-hours gathering at an Annapolis cigar bar, that when he campaigned in Prince George’s on behalf of a candidate last fall he was door-knocking in a “n—– district.” In the wake of lawmakers who have exposed for wearing Blackface have been pushed to resign from their offices, the response to Lisanti’s use of the n-word is a bit…strange. Black Caucus leader Del. Darryl Barnes (D-Prince George’s) had this to say: “She apologized several times,” Barnes said. “She recognizes how she has hurt so many within the caucus, and she hoped to repent from this. She said that she doesn’t remember fully what happened, but she recognizes what happened.” Questioned by The Washington Post earlier this month about her alleged use of the racial slur, Lisanti said: “I don’t recall that. . . . Source: Gregg DeGuire / Getty Via Madamenoire : Since early last week, “ The Real ” co-host Tamera Mowry-Housley has been out sick from the show, fighting an illness that was undisclosed. Things got so rough with whatever she was dealing with that the 40-year-old decided to go to urgent care to obtain treatment. Soon after, she also sought out some relief by drinking twin sister Tia’s breast milk, hoping the added nutrients in her milk would aid in healing. Email Submit As it turns out though, Housley was dealing with a multitude of icky things that perhaps, breast milk couldn’t really help fully fix. According to her co-host, Loni Love , who shared some insight during an episode this week, it’s been a rough bout of sickness, but she’s getting better. “I went to go visit [Tamera] yesterday and she wants to let you know, she’s going through it y’all, but she is OK!” Love said, according to OK! Magazine. “We took her to the ER, she’s doing fine.” “First she got bronchitis,” Love continued. “Then it turned into the flu, which ended up turning into viral pneumonia.” SEE ALSO:  Tia & Tamera Mowry Take To Social Media To Mourn The Passing Of Their Grandmother Her co-host said that Housley filmed while she dealt with the bronchitis, and not taking time off definitely could have made things worse. Medical experts note that influenza viruses can indeed cause viral pneumonia. “She just needs to be at home,” Love added. “She [doesn’t] need to be here with me, I got this!” Symptoms of this infection include a fever, a mucus-riddled cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, chills, muscle aches and more. People who believe they’ve developed viral pneumonia are encouraged to go to the ER if they find they have chest pains, a fever over 102, and difficulty breathing. With all that being said, viral pneumonia does tend to go away on its own, not to be mistaken with other sometimes fatal forms of the infection. Mowry seems to feeling better, too. It’s helped that she’s had the chance to rest, received visits from the ladies of The Real, and also that Tia sent her some adorable pink balloons, which the star shared on her Instagram story. Pneumonia can have someone down for about one to two weeks, so Housley should be back in action soon enough. Until then, nothing but sleep and a lot of fluids for the star. Cohen says Trump threatened former High school and universities so they would not release his transcripts and grades during the election. 3.
