Grand Jury Indicts Fabolous For Past Domestic Violence Incident Against Emily B

See the article here:

Source: Jerritt Clark / Getty It’s not looking good for Fabolous right now. According to TMZ , last week a New Jersey grand jury indicted the rapper for one count of domestic violence with significant bodily injury against longtime partner Emily B , two counts of threatening to kill and one count of possession of a weapon. As we previously reported , back in March of this year, a video emerged of Fab threatening Emily’s father and brother at their Engelwood, New Jersey home because they were allegedly retrieving guns from the property so they could not be used against her. READ:  When It Comes To Domestic Violence, Why Do Folks Still Defend The Men? Swearing, Fab threatened Emily’s father, saying “I got a bullet for you.” He also aggressively moved toward Emily on two occasions, sending her running back in fear. In the video, you can see a weapon in his hands, which was later revealed as a pair of scissors. Weeks prior to this March incident, Fab was arrested for domestic violence where according to the  affidavit , the rapper threatened, via text, to hit the victim in the head with a baseball bat and revealed that he would kill her, but “did not want to go out like that.” In addition, Fabolous allegedly punched her in the face seven times “causing severe damage to her two front teeth.” He was arrested after turning himself and was arrested on two felony charges. Now here’s where it gets interesting. Rumors are now swirling that despite this disturbing history of alleged abuse, the couple may have recently gotten married. Hot New Hip Hop wrote that the rapper attended the BET Hip Hop Awards rocking a diamond band on his ring finger with Emily doing the same on social media. Hmmmm…. Naturally, Black Twitter had some thoughts about this one: So Fabolous finally married Emily B ironically before charges were picked up on him for domestic assault . Some women don’t have the strength to leave toxic situations but that doesn’t justify his actions. Throw dat nigga under the CELL. — SBM. Each charge can bring up to 5 years in prison. In My Feelings: Lil Wayne Snubbed By Eli Manning, Goes Off On Rant [Video]

Excerpt from:

Lil Wayne proves once again he doesn’t miss a thing when it comes to sports. Eli Manning inadvertently snubbed him and got put on notice by the famed rapper. Last week during a Q&A with ESPN Weezy sat alongside Giants starter Odell Beckham Jr.. While the interview was centered around his team’s chances at a playoff run the wide out confessed he was not happy with their offensive strategy. “I don’t feel like I’m given the opportunity to be the very best that I can be. I feel like I could score every quarter, if given the opportunity. I know those numbers could be double or triple that they are right now. I want to win. I want to be great. I feel like I can score every quarter, if I’m given the chance. That’s not the case” he explained. Naturally, the criticism got back to the organization and their impact players were questioned immediately. When asked about QB Eli Manning used TuneChi as scapegoat of sorts to avoid the baited inquiry. “I don’t watch Lil Wayne much, so I missed a lot of him” he responded. Well that didn’t too well with Wayne. In a series of Instagram posts, the Louisiana native addressed Manning and made it clear he was disappointed in the lack of respect Eli put on his name.  “Every time I’m doing an interview about you and somebody is about to … even when I’m in the crib and amongst the homies, every time someone says something bad about you, I be the first one to [defend you].” Weezy went on to express his frustration considering Manning is also from New Orleans. “And here you’re talking about you don’t watch Lil Wayne much. That’s fine. I’m cool with you. I don’t care what you watch, what you listen to, nothing like that. But come on, man, the hometown love — why you gotta do me like that, man? I didn’t say anything bad about you, man. So I’m not going to say anything bad about you now.” It seems the rant got back to the Giants as they played three Lil Wayne songs at their practice on Tuesday. Someone has a sense of humor. Back in 2011 he claimed that the Miami Heat were not showing him love even though he was a floor seat ticket holder. You can view his Eli Manning rant below. — Photo: WENN.com

‘Empire’ Recap: Jamal Makes A Power Move To Get Money Flowing Again

View post:

Source: FOX / Getty Tonight’s episode of Empire picks up with Cookie reading all the trolly headlines about the Lyon Family’s money woes to Jamal and Hakeem. She is pissed, especially because Lucious blew up their spot. It’s just another reminder that they have some work to do. Things get worse when they find out that Andre isn’t coming home today (Lucious went to pick him up and got let down). He’s in the hole due to that fight he had with the bully he has been beefing with. That situation is far from over and we’re not even sure when Dre is coming home, but the Lyon Family has to move forward. Lucious reveals that he found some new office space and he’s meeting with investors soon. They also want Hakeem and Jamal to sign with them, but they’re still signed to Empire so we all know that breaking those contracts are not going to be easy. It comes as no surprise when Hakeem and Jamal visit Kingsley at Empire and are met with contempt when they try to get out of their contracts. Kingsley mocks Hakeem’s bad lung (but Jamal has been working with him on figuring out new ways to breathe so this is going to get better) and reminds Jamal that he better turn in that album he owes or he’ll never release any music ever again.   Things go even further downhill when Lucious’ money people decide not to loan him money after all. In related news, we find out that Candace convinced Cookie to buy a loft in SoHo a while back and to keep that information secret from Lucious. The point of purchasing the loft was to have some collateral in case Lucious ditched Cookie again. You know things were looking real shaky with Giuliana for a hot second. Welp, Candace is smart because now Cookie is going to put the loft up for sale. We all know that lofts in SoHo go for a grip. Lucious visits Thirsty’s office to see if he’ll join their new venture. He’s an ambulance chaser now and he’s doing well in business. He’s also giving Lucious the side eye because he hasn’t really heard from him in over a year yet here he is in his face, once again needing something. However, Thirsty used to come through in the clutch, for all of Lucious’ illicit activities, so surely he’ll be back… Right? RIGHT?!  Part of Andre’s beef with the jail bully is that he has been harassing a kid named Quincy. We don’t know what Quincy did, but it’s obvious that Quincy belongs in college and that he’s smart and may even be in there on some numbers or tech related crime. Dre probably sees himself in Quincy and decides to protect him. That’s cool and all, but something about this seems strategic as well. Lucious confronts Kingsley at Empire because he has been playing games and even stole the office space that Lucious had been looking at. These people can’t do anything original, can they? Anyway, Kingsley kicks that bs about this just being about business, but Lucious is ready to take it to the streets. He even threatens him and says that if he keeps up this “business” strategy then he might meet his maker. Kingsley ain’t scared though. We know he has more tricks up his sleeves. Lucious and Cookie decide to turn their home into Empire headquarters since there’s no office space. Cookie’s sisters are on board helping the family business, so is Porsha. Thirsty decided to come back like we knew he would and Lucious is trying to get Becky to return too. That’s still up in the air but she is present for their first business event in their living room. Thirsty helped them land some new potential investors. One of the investors tries to be shady about the setup but Cookie shuts that down then Lucious reminds them that the greatest acts at Empire have all been Lyons, and he wants to demonstrate that. So, without further adieu, Jamal and Hakeem take the stage. Hakeem is obviously nervous about this, but it turns out that the work they’ve been doing with his breathing worked. The song is a hit and Hakeem is back rapping again. Tonight is mostly a success, except for the fact that Becky turned Lucious down, and she has every right because she’s potentially getting a promotion at Empire, something Lucious kept overlooking her for. Plus, the way Lucious is talking to her is all types of stupid so no one can blame her. Jamal turns in the music, including he and Hakeem’s new song, he created in to Kingsley. This should fulfill his contractual obligations to Empire. Kingsley likes the music and thinks he’s all set, but Jamal wants checks cut out to all of his family because every track samples something from past music contributed by a Lyon. Kingsely tries to get around this by claiming that samples can be stripped down but they cant according to Jamal’s soundtrack. Kingsley is tight and that’s when we see him telling his assistant to arrange a visit to a correctional facility. Speaking of, that bully inmate finally ends up getting killed while Andre is in the hole. Dre is obviously pleased with this news as this is all part of his plan. Then, we end the episode with Kingsley visiting, wait for it, Diana DuBois! The Lyon’s enemy is a friend of his. Hold on tight, because Dre will be out next week! Beyonce & Jay-Z Reportedly “Sever All Ties” With Kanye West & Kim Kardashian

Go here to see the original:

So I guess we all knew this, but now it’s official. I guess my only question is – will Jay-Z now run opposite Kanye for that presidential bid in 2020? Via | HotNewHipHop So much for “Watch The Throne 2.” There was a time when  Kanye West  and Jay-Z were the best of friends. Ye even looked to Jay as a sort of big brother, rapping about it on  Graduation . While we did receive some  teases of a forthcoming collaborative album  between Yeezy and Hov,  Watch The Throne 2  may be suffering a major setback considering Kanye and his wife have reportedly been completely written off by Jay and Beyoncé. We were all seriously crossing our fingers that the two would link up to fulfill a promise that Ye  tweeted out  a few weeks ago. It seemed odd for Kanye to be saying that  Throne 2  was on the way because we’ve all heard about his rocky friendship with Jigga. We can probably put that on the backburner for now because there are reports saying that Bey and Jay are “severing all ties” with the  Keeping Up  couple. READ MORE

Calm Down: White Celebrities Who Think Black People Looove Them

View post:

Source: Eugene Gologursky / Getty Every now and then, a White person comes along that the Black delegation will usher in as honorary brethren. This person can be referred to as someone “invited to the cookout,” an “honorary brother/sister,” or a White person who “gets a pass.” However, when these non-melinated phenomenons happen, it’s important to remember two things. First off, the Black delegation is always changing and multifaceted depending on where you live, who you hang out with and the things you’re into. Secondly, there’s a difference between Black people “loving” a White person and “loooving” a White person. Loving a White person usually means you love their style, their music or some aspect about their personality (see: Justin Timberlake , Robin Thicke ), but you’re still able to hold them accountable when they fall short on topics like racism, the nuances of the N-word (don’t say it!), or how they season their potato salad. In contrast, loooving a White person is a borderline toxic form of love where you’ll let a White person get away with almost anything because they’re so “hip,” “cool,” or overall talented. White people make a huge mistake when they think Black people looove them. Alec Baldwin recently made this mistake in an interview with   The Hollywood Reporter  when he said, “Ever since I played Trump, Black people love me. They love me. Everywhere I go, Black people go crazy. I think it’s because they’re most afraid of Trump.” No, no, no Baldwin. First off, to my earlier point, these Black people who “love” you might be of a different delegation than other Black delegations. To be frank, I can’t think of an entire time in my life when Alec Baldwin came up in a conversation amongst Black friends. Many on Black Twitter seemed to agree: i for real don't think i've ever talked to another black person about alec baldwin. https://t.co/b6UC5LeMoR — Spooky Bread Terry (@SlimiHendrix) October 10, 2018 We had one of our big Black bar-b-ques in Wakanda last night, and we couldn't stop talking about how much we Blacks just loves us some Alec Baldwin https://t.co/hoxuRYzMg9 — Tariq Nasheed (@tariqnasheed) October 10, 2018 Its been hours and I'm still unsure of where to begin the list of ways Alec Baldwin got us fucked up. https://t.co/8ZCPcQ62Y0 — Sylvia Obell (@SylviaObell) October 10, 2018 To my second point, just because there’s Black people who “love” Alec Baldwin doesn’t mean they “looove” Alec Baldwin. Will these Black people put their neck on the line for Alec Baldwin if he messes up? I’ll wait.   At the end of the day, White people should just refrain from saying Black people “love” them, even if that White person has contributed something of value to a Black person’s life. On top of this, White people should never assume that just because Black people support them, it gives them the right to say or do whatever they want in regards to a whole community. Alec Baldwin isn’t the first White person to be feeling himself a little too much. Hit the next pages to check out other White folks who need to calm down before they start speaking for an entire community.

Amber Rose Let’s Her 5-Year-Old Curse At Home

Read the original post:

Source: C Flanigan / Getty Amber Rose has ALWAYS been out spoken and danced to the beat of her own drum. When it comes to parenting she often does her own thing especially when co-parenting with her ex fiancé Wiz Khalifa. They often have a very non traditional approach to raising their 5 year old son Sebastian. Amber recently shared some of her parenting style and admitted that she allows her son to curse at home.  The model says “I let my son curse in the house because it’s a form of expression. Kids like to curse. I tell him when it’s appropriate and not to say it at school.” Although that may seem extreme to some people, Amber does have restrictions. Sebastian IS NOT allowed to say or use the N word. Their son picked up the N word from his father Wiz, but Amber tells him to use an alternative swear word. “I tell him, ‘I’d rather you say F***.” Let’s talk, Would you be okay with your kids cursing?
