Dinner For Two details a solution to healing a broken heart. In preparation for his “last supper”, Chris (Tristan ‘Mack’ Wilds) sets the mood by recreating a favorite dish he shared with his once beloved Angela (Chaley Rose). As Chris reflects on great memories over multiple glasses of wine and whiskey, he also mourns the loss of their relationship. To permanently numb the pain, Chris contemplates taking his own life, as Angela refuses to love him back and forgive his downward alcoholic spiral. “Dinner For Two,” premieres on TV One , Sunday, September 2 and airs at 7 p.m. ET /4 p.m. PT.

Chef Tommi Vincent (aka Chef Tommi V ) is a celebrity chef and caterer, and wife of former NFL player, Troy Vincent . Recently, Troy and Tommi launched Vincent Country, a lifestyle movement created to inspire and uplift and reflect positive images. Chef Tommi recently stopped by Radio One Atlanta to show us how to make her delicious signature Curry Shrimp Pasta Salad. Ingredients: 2 pounds medium shrimp, peeled and deveined 1 pound of tricolor pasta, cooked, drained, and cooled 1 can coconut milk 3 garlic cloves 2 T butter 1 medium green pepper, diced 1 medium red pepper diced 1 medium yellow pepper diced 1 shallot, minced 1 package of frozen peas, thawed 1 2.5 oz. can black olive slices 1 c. ranch dressing ½ c. mayonnaise 3 T Curry seasoning 2 t salt ½ black pepper Step 1 Marinate peeled and deveined shrimp in coconut milk, garlic cloves, 2 T curry seasoning overnight. Step 2 Remove shrimp from marinade, shaking off excess marinade, and bring to room temperature. Sauté shrimp in butter on med-high. Be careful not to overcook shrimp. They will shrink some, but should still be plump and succulent. Remove from heat and cool. Step 3 Take half of your shrimp and mince. You can either use a food processor or a knife. The idea here is to have a consistency small enough to ensure shrimp is tasted in every bite. We all know folks will pick out the big shrimps! Step 4 Mix all of your ingredients together, except pasta. After you incorporate all the ingredient incorporate the pasta in small batches to ensure ever noodle is coated. Chill before serving.

However, the Haitian-born producer and global artist first arrived in America and settled in the planet of Brooklyn with the borough awarding him a key to the city over the weekend. Jean was nine years when his family came to New York from his native Haiti and while New Jersey is where he came to form The Fugees alongside Lauryn Hill and Pras Michel to worldwide acclaim. At the Wingate Summer Concert Series, Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams handed Jean the award for his contributions to music and beyond. Also in attendance were his wife, Claudinette Jean, and their daughter, Angelina. “I accept this key for the forgotten. If you can make it in Brooklyn. You can make it anywhere,” said Wyclef Jean to the masses. The timing couldn’t be better for the multi-talented star as he’s gearing up for the release of his upcoming mixtape, Wyclef Goes Back To School and doing a tour stop next month at New York’s Sony Hall. P resident Barack Obama ’s summer reading list includes a book about a Black couple impacted by a wrongful conviction—a reality for a disproportionate number of African-American families. Things become unhinged when Roy is arrested and sentenced to 12 years in prison. The couple struggles to hold on to their union while Roy languishes behind bars. Jones, a Spelman College graduate, has received praise for her moving novel. Jones touched on an issue that has disproportionately torn apart Black families. African Americans convicted of murder or sexual assault are more likely than their white counterparts to be found innocent later, the National Registry of Exonerations reported in 2017 in an analysis of almost 2,000 exonerations. Black defendants accounted for 40 percent of murder convictions over the nearly three decades covered in the study—and also represented 50 percent of those wrongfully convicted. Obama’s four other favorites are Tara Westover ’s Educated, Warlight by Michael Ondaatje , the classic A House for Mr Biswas written by Nobel Prize winner V.S. Naipaul and Factfulness by Hans Rosling .
